261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MUN] Muniti: Malta's national cryptocurrency - promoting tourism! X11 algo on: April 02, 2014, 02:43:18 PM
MintPal, Bittrex Poloniex have now all been contacted as requested. I wrote to them asking for a possible listing this weekend. Lazycoins looks well-organised and promising, we believe it would be a well-taken opportunity if Muniti gets listed there.

Muniti has been mentioned on CryptoArticles - it has been analysed, criticised and praised accordingly. Find out more on:

The first exchange on which Muniti will be traded will be http://lazycoins.com/

LazyCoins is a UK-based alt-exchange ready to open its doors to the public after a lengthy period of development. As quoted from their exchange:

"We are based in the UK which has close judicial ties with both the US and Europe and we will be publishing our business address after the exchange has become established. We understand the seedy nature in which crypto related businesses spawn in and out of existence and we can understand how the community would be apprehensive of new businesses. However we at LazyCoins actively engage with the community because we are all passionate about cryptos so we hope to gain the communities trust in time."

Muniti will be traded on LazyCoins with an ETA based on next week. The website and the OP will be amended accordingly.

In the meantime, we are still in contact with more exchanges. If you know of any reputable exchange which we should contact, please let us know.

Why you dont use popular Exchanges for this coin? im sure it be dead as soon as it hit on this exchange.

It is not so easy  to get on to popular exchanges as you might think. Feel free to donate BTC to buy votes on exchanges such as Cryptsy and MintPal - we as a Dev team will not be wasting time, effort and money to buy our way onto such exchanges. If they believe Muniti has potential, they should adopt it out of their own will. As I mentioned earlier on in this thread - bounties or other forms of remuneration will not be given to entities which would benefit from adopting Muniti and such bounties are reserved to persons who dedicate their own efforts without gaining any substantial profit from it.

Bittrex for sure, they generally jump on all new coins launch. Surely they wouldn't skip over one of the very few X11 coins that is getting so much attention.

Bittrex have now been contacted as well. Thank you for pointing them out to us.

Some news:

- We have finally confirmed our first exchange. We have been in contact with 4 exchanges over the past few days, but only one really tickled our fancy, as we wanted to ensure that the exchange is of notable quality so as to present Muniti in a good light. The exchange will be revealed later on today. Naturally we will be contacting more exchanges to see whether we could expand further.

- We have nearly secured a printing contract with a local company following a meeting this very morning at 9:30 am. The rates are extremely favourable, and although they have understandably not accepted payment in Muniti, they are very interested in the whole concept and we will be sending them a wallet with a small amount of Muniti just so as to get the feel for it. The fees for printing will be paid out of our own reserves, as they are well within our budget.

- The first batch of promotional merchandise to be distributed locally will be ready by the 11th of April, 2014.

- We have been in contact with two persons regarding the block explorer, faucets, coin counter and so on. We have still not reached an agreement with them and we would like to extend the offer to anyone interested in creating a block explorer for Muniti at the very least, as that is of great importance for both the coin and the community. The bounty for anyone interested in creating a block explorer will be that of 100 MUN.

Please continue spreading the word. Do not hoard Muniti as a secret, refusing to share it with others simply because you have some notion of "getting rich" if you do so. That is extremely counter-productive. For a coin which is still in its infancy, it is doing extremely well, but it can only grow if you let others know about it. Most altcoins exploded in value only because they became well-known, not because they were kept in a metaphorical dungeon. Thank you for all the work done so far.

Could we get the addresses of the premined coins? So that when the blockexplorer is ready, we know that you or anyone else hasn't been grabbing the premine and started dumping it.
This I think, would be a great advantage for the community as they would know that they aren't wasting time on a pump and dump coin. After that the community will be eager to want to let the rest of the world know about this coin.

Not a problem at all. The wallet from which the bounties are being paid and where the first maildrop amount is being reserved is mWuwabhbmNHyYNLbQ8pzYfnFymHm5JicXf. The rest of the reserve is being held in cold storage for safety purposes and will remain untouched until 7 days before the second maildrop.

As for the question regarding sCrypt ASICs - please note that they are only compatible with sCrypt coins. Muniti is not a sCrypt coin but an X11-based coin. It cannot be mined with ASICs. GPUs hash X11 at 3x the sCrypt rate, hence the larger amount of hashrates which you notice on pools.

Is there no block explorer ?

It is being worked upon and will be available before Muniti hits an exchange.

lol which country is next?

should make a poll...

+1

Im voting in that poll ! post link.

but im not sure there are many country's left.

http://www.worldatlas.com/nations.htm

claims a max of 196 country's so we are closing in on that number and will have passed it this year Cheesy

u need to hurry up with your poll before its to late!!

seems quebec was the next one Smiley
the Muniti devs should look into changing from KGW to DGW from the DigiByte team though.

KGW has been working perfectly fine so far. The fluctuations in difficulty have been accurate and there were no problems. I'm not sure if you are referring to DGW, which emanates from Darkcoin, or to Digishield, which is DigiByte's corrective mechanism. As explained in the OP, both have been relatively untested so far and we feel that KGW, besides being tested as perfectly stable, suits our needs perfectly.

I wonder what prices this will hit on the exchanges.

The more promotion that is done, the higher the price will be. We've had an exhausting day following altcoin/bitcoin related profiles on Twitter (hoping most of them will follow us back), checking out new crypto forums on which to spread the word, contacting printing companies locally so as to gear up for local promotion after hitting exchanges, and so on and so forth. Keep in mind that the promotion bounties are pretty much unlimited at this stage. Spread the word, receive the bounty. This is not hype - it is simply laying down the foundations for the next stone to be laid.

Check out Muniti, Malta's national cryptocurrency based on the X11 algo. Following the successful launch, we have great things in store. Net hashrate is already over 2.6Gh/s. Read more about us:

Hey, what about exchanges? Cool

We'll be in contact with several exchanges this weekend. Until then, we want to press on promotion and on increasing the net hashrate. The more promotion that is done, the earlier we'll contact exchanges. We want to enter the exchange-stage with a strong hand.

All the bounties have now been paid out in full. Plenty of Muniti left for bounty purposes, feel free to join in on the action.

All bounties have been paid except for coine_smithe. Please send us your address so that we can forward you the bounty.

There are plenty of other translation bounties to be taken, along with other bounties as well. If you have any queries please do not hesitate in asking. This week we will be heavily pressing on promotion of the coin before getting on to an exchange, so we will need all the help we can get in this area.

The promotion video bounty has been increased to 60 MUN.
