261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BITCOIN´s Day on: April 24, 2018, 04:23:17 PM
Bitcoin has become a world phenomenon, though right now many people doesn´t know it or heard it. Bitcoin has changed totally the system, not only economic system but at technological level. We can say from entire world population, just the 25% know it or has it.
And I also know bitcoin has changed not only my life but from others, specially economically.

For that my proposal is to create a Bitcoin´s Day where can be celebrated in many countries in the world, starting on social sites or forums like this and after to see the possibility to make events in some cities or countries where a day be dedicated to Bitcoin and to Satoshi Nakamoto topics.

So, let me to know your opinion guys. Smiley
262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you going to spend your bitcoin on? on: April 24, 2018, 04:16:55 PM
I will spend my bitcoin to buy a new laptop for my studies , maybe will take time but I am willing to save those bitcoins for my studies.
I spend my bitcoin in a right way I use to it in my study and buy things I use in school. Bitcoin helps me a lot, it provides all my needs and my daily expenses. Bitcoin help me pursue my dreams and to become successful. I'm so thankful bitcoin came into my life.
Agreed folk  Grin

264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Really End World Poverty? on: April 24, 2018, 04:03:30 PM
I think it will make things better for the poor, particularly migrant workers.  But it won't end world poverty.  What might end world poverty is if we could get rid of usury, which is what made it so bad in the first place.

We have different opinions about this. There are some who says that bitcoin cannot end world poverty but there are some who says yes it ends poverty. For me bitcoin cannot totally end poverty maybe it reduces and i hope it continues to reduces until poverty ends.
I believe that bitcoin is the answer to the growing percentage of poverty. Bitcoin is a new kind of digital coin that contains it's highest value like a value of hold. Though  we all have still a different citation regarding on this matter but for me I am just thinking positively about it and maybe there's nothing wrong of having a positive outlook right.
Well, there are many opinions, one can be. Bitcoin by itself cannot end it. If people doesn´t have it how can they earn or take profit?
Anyway assuming all people is having it, many people wouldn´t sell it awaiting its price go up. And by this the ask and the bid would stop.
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a better payment system? on: April 24, 2018, 03:57:13 PM
Most of the people say it is not because of "high fees, long transaction confirmation times", but thats outdated news, Bitcoin still has a higher fee than it had a few years ago, bit the transactions aren't very slow right now. The only problem right now is adoption, more stores and sites need to accept Bitcoin, and then it will be perfect.
You are right. Many people complain because of fees but that depends on what wallet you use.

I personally use bitpay wallet and the fees are very low. Smiley
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you going to spend your bitcoin on? on: April 24, 2018, 03:50:34 PM

268  Local / Altcoins (criptomonedas alternativas) / Re: Mejor Ethereum que Bitcoin? on: April 24, 2018, 03:35:32 PM

269  Local / Altcoins (criptomonedas alternativas) / Re: Mejor Ethereum que Bitcoin? on: April 24, 2018, 03:27:08 PM

Gracias!!!
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple Future on: April 24, 2018, 03:19:42 PM
Have you all guys thought this? We are (at least the most) against banking control, because of inflation and others things. Blockchain was developed to avoid/repair centralized systems like banks, and now when banks are issuing a cryptocurrency, many people want it because of the banks???

Just think on that! Smiley Smiley
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about Bitcoin and consumer protection? on: April 24, 2018, 07:29:01 AM
how can i be sure that my money would be protected from scammers or how can i know the stability of bitcoin?

By knowing how Blockchain it works, you will know what wallet to use to hold your BTC. Take care with centralized wallets companies because those kind of wallets are attacked by hackers generally and you take the risk to lose your BTC.

The "stability" of Bitcoin or any coin is given by the ask and bid of mass. It is to difficult to know what price bitcoin will have tomorrow or the next month, when a trader works, they just try to predict the price but never is exactly accuracy.
272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Guide for selling/buying on: April 24, 2018, 07:04:05 AM
Do you guys follow some rules for buying and selling? Let's say, for example: only sell when I have a 15% increase in my initial investment. What should I follow in order to avoid losses?
The guide I will write you here will not be about numbers or percentages about when to sell or to buy, is more for you have them in account before to sell or to buy any asset or coin. They will be more helpful for you at the trading world.

In the trading world is very important to control your ambition and your fear. This means if you bought at dip and your investment is having enough earn for you, try to control yourself and sell with profit. Sometimes your brain will say you to wait "to earn more", but it can betray you.

The opposite thing happens with the fear, for example, if you buy at any price and the investment start to go down instead of up, your brain can start to be scared and you could sell with losses , so you have to learn to control your thought and to know that when any coin or asset goes up or down, sooner or later it will turn back.

Maybe you will ask to yourself, how to learn to dominate or control those things? Very simple, in practice. Smiley
I hope to have helped you...

275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin still exist in your country? on: April 24, 2018, 05:49:41 AM
I wonder, that the other country didnt accept bitcoin.
Well, personally here in Colombia where I am living right now, is not that the country as state is accepting Bitcoin. Just people buy and sell the coin. Thus to receive this kind of payment for any products you want to swap. Smiley

Espero comentarios. Wink

What happens if I click on +Merit, in my own quote?
I don't know what will happen if we click + merit on our own posts, but I remember someone said he tried to click +merit on his posts but there is nothing happen.

What´s the purpose of merits?
Any user can give merit? If it´s so, how can I give.
You can read here Merit & new rank requirements there is clear explanation about merit will answer your questions

How can I get Merit? (this also appears in my profile)
I've just skipped this question as I think there is so many questions about merit, then this kind of question always tucked on their post (same as yours)
Thank you so much for your opinion. And as you said that question is always in the questions about merit, I think it should be because all of us when we started in this forum we have the same doubts. And as the forum is big and sometimes confused about some topics, I think sometimes newbies don´t know where to look for the accuracy information.

Regards! Smiley

1. You will receive a message saying: "You cannot send merit to yourself"
2. You make constructive and helpful posts and hope that someone will send you merits.
3. It was implemented to reduce the spam and account farming, as people are now obliged to make good posts If they want to rank up and participate in bounties.
4. Using +Merits button you asked about in #1. You can only send sMerits which are given to you when you receive Merits (for each 1 merit you receive, you get 0.5 sMerit that you can send to other people).
Thank you for answering.

What happens when I merit someone?
My merit go away? It is deducted?
I mean if I merit someone, in this case I have just 1. When I merit them, my merit go to "0"? or I can send merit to somebody and my merit still will stay with me.
