I agree with philipma1957. I have been thinking about this thought for a long time, but maybe my opinion could make me not accepted in the campaign managed by icopress, but this thought bothers me enough that I want to convey it here.
Honestly, I don't doubt Icopress's objectivity because he is an old member who has contributed a lot to this forum, but with him as a merit source there is the possibility:
~ As a selling point and perhaps sending more merit to the client's account ~ Send merit more often to campaign participants because he see their campaign participants' posts every week
Are you suggesting icopress has a history of favoring certain clients or participants? If so, can you point to specific examples? If not, what do you think prevented him from doing it already? What specific changes do you predict if he becomes a merit source? If I look at campaigns that have merit source participants, usually those client accounts get more merit and rank up faster compared to campaigns that are not participated in by merit sources.
Why are you adding campaign participants to the mix now? Are you suggesting that merit sources should not even participate in campaigns, let alone manage them?

➥ Which style of avatars do you like better... like mine or these ones? I like yours better. These are good too, but as someone already said, I don't like how the text covers the mascot on some of them.

Show in public? ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) And can this be replaced with some other alternative body parts as proof of ownership?? It seems we need a suitable abbreviation for such things) NSFW? Do we really need another dude licking his boob around here? (Unless, of course, you're into that. In which case, who am I to judge?) ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I should have provided the context. I am using Blockstream Jade. As a part of the setting up the Jade wallet, it gives me an option to "draw" the seedQR, which is used to login to this stateless wallet (which forgets the private key when power turned off). What I don't understand is, why would anybody want to create this seedQR, which is like a card with the 12 words written on it. Sure, you can write down the words and put it away somewhere safe, but you shouldn't be using the card everytime you log in to the wallet.
So like you said, the SeedQR serves as a backup for that stateless hardware wallets - like Jade. It functions sort of like a seed phrase would, but it's custom-tailored in a way that specifically complements these stateless setups and their distinctive security features. And that right there is the central advantage: because those wallets never save your seed or private keys locally, even someone snatching the physical device shouldn't pose a risk per se. Not even theoretically! But then again that SeedQR still represents sensitive data in its own right. So in that sense, commonsense precautions apply. You'll wanna handle that QR code document with the same care and discretion you would any other confidential info. Keep it stored away safe and private just like you would your seed phrase.

Hey everyone! I've got $1000 to invest before the next bull market kicks in. Should I spread it across five different coins or go all in on just one? What are your top picks for either strategy?
I'd advise taking some time to read up on different crypto projects rather than just throwing money at random coins. Check out their whitepapers, chat forums, expert analyses - stuff that'll help you shape an informed opinion. Getting the lowdown on project goals potential upsides and downsides and all that can pay off bigtime down the road. Obviously do your homework first before tossing any cash their way. Scope out which ones have real prospects ahead of them. If diving deep into crypto feels like too much hassle, there's no shame sticking with good ol' Bitcoin. Safest choice out there without a doubt.

Why on earth would FixedFloat need $26m in hot wallet reserves to operate~? This makes no sense from an operational or security standpoint for a swapping platform like fixedfloat. I've asked the same question before, when exchanges got hacked. In general, you should only keep small amounts in a hot wallet. Could it be this is "small" to them, and they have much more in cold storage? I think most of this probably comes from the fact that it's an instant exchange, not a classic cex, where you trade in some form of internal IOUs, and the exchange only needs real funds for withdrawals. Instant (automatic) exchanges needs readily available funds across multiple hot wallets to facilitate instant trades and to ensure liquidity on all trading pairs. A regular centralized exchange acts more like a bank, managing internal accounts and transferring IOUs. FixedFloat, on the other hand, functions more like a physical currency exchange booth.

Since you accuse me of being a hypocrite since then on a constant basis, how about you provide some evidence of that? Blatant evidence of your hypocrisy is easily visible in your personal signature area. But, we already have several threads on the Reputation board dedicated to this topic. Perhaps you've simply forgotten about them? Anyway, reviewing those discussions would be more appropriate than rehashing everything here. So, I suggest you to stop further discussion on this matter as that would also be off-topic here. Otherwise, the moderators will have some cleaning to do.

I was refused participation in the campaign only because I did not repay the debt, I think this is the reason and not that my threads are useless.
Unless you got a clear explanation from the campaign manager, you can't know that. And besides, what kinda debt are we even talking about?

But here comes the funny part how did the specialist know that they was a bitcoin key phrase or something related in the hard drive, unless the funky guy must have blabbed all about it to him. Making the story even looking more made up.
Since I am somewhat familiar with the way these data recovery services work, I can assume that the guy may have inadvertently disclosed that there are bitcoin private keys or wallet files on the damaged hard drive. Data recovery professionals routinely inquire about the specific data types users seek to recover from compromised media. This information greatly aids the recovery process and improve success rates.

I saw a few replies above favor on Electrum wallet which also I preferred to use.
But a mobile app? That isn't recommendable.
Why not? Do you have any specific concerns about the Electrum mobile app? It's more secure in a desktop wallet but it's up to your preference maybe.
Sure, smartphones can definitely pick up more malware than desktops and such. Although that's not too important here 'cause OP asked about watch-only wallet specifically.

Your friend's got a point: settling into familiar turf just feels right. Why dirty new shoes when your flip-flops have perfected the imprint of your feet? And let's be real, learning new things is a hassle and tax on the brain cells. But then again, isn't that how we grow? New songs refresh the spirit, exotic foods tickle the tongue and so too a novel blackjack table stirs the senses. So, although adventure calls - steady ground has its comforts too. Either path holds potential for surprise. In the end, it's about what makes you feel good.

Well, that's quite a dramatic story about the ex! I wouldn't go assuming every new partner is gonna turn into a bank-robbing criminal though. Sharing some personal stuff can help build trust in a relationship, you know? But yeah, I wouldn't be handing over my bank password on date one either!
My hypothetical bitcoins are my own business. Trust and boundaries walk hand-in-hand in my view but then again, Id have no reason to actively hide anything from someone I was seriously with. There are always two sides to consider though. What if something happened to me and I couldn't access my crypto anymore? My partner would need to know.

This is possibly the first time the site is down for me since 2015 I joined and staring using FreeBitco, but all the same, I don't think there is any reason to panic, FreeBitco have been into a lot of stuffs lately,
Yes, I was also surprised to read these comments as I never heard this site freebitco going down ever, but again even the best of best servers and technology can have some issues and experience the downtime. Anyway, the site is back up and running ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) It's nothing strange or uncommon. Many poplar sites often experience DDoS attacks. Even bitcointalk recently had frequent system crashes. As for FreeBitcoin, you can easily check this thread for past posts. There have been mentions of outages and DDoS attacks since 2016, if not earlier.

- The best poster rewards are not given for those with the highest total of posts, as someone mentioned, it is given for the top 2 (based in their final rating) + 2 more members that reached a final rating of at least 7.5. Here you can see our Rating Sheet
To be honest, I think your rating system is complete bullshit. I wasn't going to call out any specific member, but since you made your rating sheet public, let's address the elephant in the room: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftalkimg.com%2Fimages%2F2024%2F02%2F17%2FYSH93.jpeg&t=663&c=8u-KbWO8Cuxj0A) This is your top poster? Months in a row, according to your own data. Impressive... But even more fascinating is the uncanny similarity in scores from your entire team. It's almost like they all share the same brain... Real people don't have hive-mind opinions, especially on subjective matters like this. Your system reeks of manipulation, not genuine evaluation.

If we all work together we can do it.
This sounds like the usual populist crap I hear every day from our politicians. What land on my name ? Im sure here are people who got land i will be providing finances If they provide their land and people.
He said "land mine", not "land of mine"! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) It's possible to do it ,yes i can loan or airdrop how much i want since i'll be printing money here not you So, it is dentical to what the central banks are currently doing?

So what if the forum was created for one to be able to chat another privately.
Hey there! Just letting you know, this forum actually has a Private messages feature that allows you to chat directly with other users. You can find it by clicking on " My Messages". ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftalkimg.com%2Fimages%2F2024%2F02%2F16%2FYd8iJ.jpeg&t=663&c=AVlLnHQ3WndXJw)
