Well hello there 53K, long time no see.

first class example of a classical sashay, i love a good sashay.

almost now from a lost time of chivalry when seduction used to be more subtle, yet more sensual.

Is that a condom machine on the wall behind her? Wall Observers don’t use protection.

"she" was on the Gents toilet!  Shocked

In the spirit of International Women's Day (March 8th for those who may not know) I'm going to wade in on this.  While this ravishing porn star does demonstrate a fine example of sashay, she was not in the men's washroom and that is not a condom machine.  The device in the background is for dispensing feminine hygiene products; one side is for napkins (pads) and the other for tampons.  Now it's time for a good-ole bat-slapping:

Take that!

you got me!  Grin

but wait March 8th is at least Socialism if not Communism. Clara Zetkin and the other folks around her.

1 BTC ≈ 32 oz Gold

For the reset of the world that will be 1 BTC ≈ 907.185 grams of Gold... almost 1 kg.

well done! it was a lot of work to resize the 1 oz gold bars from 75 to 25 right?  Grin

i feel like i will be kinda disappointed if i actually make money on gme..
Well, disappointed is overstating it slightly, in my case.
I considered GME as a crazy diamond hand training exercise.

it's $154.36 after hours trading currently. wish I had bought. CFO has quit today.

Can someone explain how this works? We have someone stating above that there are less than 1000 BTC to go for 500K per coin and another that Michael Saylor bought another 20,000 BTC at 52K yet the price dipped a bit.
 Huh

They buy into sh!tcoins with USD, then they dump sh!tcoins for BTC, then dump BTC for USD for the dip and profit. Also they can declare to the IRS a loss on their bitcoin if they dip. Smiley
Also they might probably buy bitcoin at a later date when they pass over the date that they need to declare paperwork sh!t. Smiley

second option is OTC. even some exchanges have OTC trading for large investors. I could imagine Miners will sell freshly minted coins for a premium to this exchanges for the OTC trading. so the investors are save for any future development.

third options is buy any dip you can get like Bob demonstrated some time. split the amount you plan to buy via an Algo in many small Limit buy orders designed by a stair formation and wait for the market to crash like on Sunday/Monday. then just wait until you run out of FIAT.

EDIT: so this means we can expect after every crash in the next time some of the big boys will come out of their caves and will announce they just bought to make sure the plebs hear it and buy more so the big boys do not run out of FIAT for their next attack. you choose on which side you will stay.  Grin

ok, vieleicht post COVID-19 dann.  Roll Eyes

EDIT: was man so hört will das FA den Kaufnachweis bei einer Überprüfung, z. Bsp. von Bitcoin.de.

@Gyrsur, @Karartma1, thanks guys, for the useful info/links.

@Gyrsur: Yes, using Kraken, and everything goes through Fidor Bank (Munich). When you say 1000 € upper limit, you mean per transaction? Can I transfer, say, 900 € on the 1st of the month, another 900 € on the 10th, and another 900 € on the 20th? Haven't been able to check the link you provided, sorry if this is already mentioned there.

I know for a fact that we Euro-landers will face difficulties in enjoying our newfound wealth... I think the IRS in the USA are better. They are brutal and check everything, but at least they seem to be more knowledgeable and once you pay your dues they don't bother you. Or so I've heard.

I as understand it right if your crypto-related transaction from/to the bank is over 1000 EUR the bank is forced to report it somehow. this are just plans at the moment to go in this direction. but it will come, I am sure.

Hmm, strangely i only read about "bitcoin transactions with value over € 1000". Means that wallet providers have to implement an interface to track KYC bitcoin transactions over a value of €1000. I don't see tracking EUR transactions from exchange to bank here.

Quote
The government wants to restrict the anonymity of crypto payments. It will not succeed in doing this, but will only sell wallet providers and custodians abroad. Legal uncertainty will be the result. The fight against cryptocurrencies is part of the financial repression of this federal government. Only a year ago, the anonymity of gold transactions was reduced to 2,000 euros. With crypto assets, the government is now going even further.

It's more clear in untranslated version, imho.
It wouldn't make much sense to capture EUR going from/to wallet providers to banks, but they want to sniff into btc transactions, because they lack the ability to monitor money flows like with fiat. Prove me wrong  Grin
It's only my opinion on the contents of the article. I don't welcome monitoring and control of flows (whichever currency) at all.

still not convinced about the direction how it should developing (Banks included)?

EDIT:

the bank can easily identify crypto-related transactions via the receiver or sender (e.g. Kraken). it's not a difficult task for them.

as I understand it right it will count per transaction.

I've lowered it already for myself in the past to under 1000 EUR better 500 EUR with that in mind it will come somehow. and of course monthly amounts in the region of a normal working citizen in your area. as you said #UnderTheRadar. the opposite of #LaserEyes.  Grin

Good morning WOers!

I see Warren Buffett's wisdom has worked again nicely while I was sleeping. We've crossed $50k, then pulled back to just under it. It's just a matter of time (hours/days) before we leave $50k behind for good. I believe the recent correction showed that there is good support at lower levels. This is not just a bubble ready to pop, as some falsely claim. This will pave the way for a slow and steady rise to $60k, $100k and beyond. I haven't sold a single sat during the dip (and, sadly, I haven't bought a single sat either). We may need some time to reach the above levels, but we will.

My SOMA guess:

Q2: attack on $100k,
Q3: $100k (stable),
Q4: $200~400k (unstable).

Regarding my earlier post/query about Bitcoin-funded Credit Cards, many thanks to those who replied. I checked out 2 companies (Binance and Crypto.com). They both offer such services and I may consider applying there, just for a test drive. Still, IMHO, the best course of action in this matter, as Richy_T has pointed out, is total transparency, i.e., declaring everything and doing things the legal way. Paying taxes too. That way, no one will bother me and question my financial status change (quitting my job while being able to increase my spending activity 10-fold). It's one thing to become super-wealthy, it's quite another to be able to use your wealth without raising red flags and being labeled a criminal. Got to be careful with such things... Fortunately, my expenses and desires are not too extravagant, so I could stay under the radar, but still, this is an issue that needs to be looked at.

BTW, $50k crossed again, and rising.  Cool

very important flying under the radar! IMO it means < 1000 EUR transactions BTC to FIAT.  Cry

Who is using a german online wallet, anyway?
Bitpanda is the only one i can remind, and coinfinity as a broker, but are there more than five services like these based in Germany?
Thanks for the info, might address some people.

* OutOfMemory stroking his hardware wallet

NO, pls read careful the text in your mother tong German.  it means it's in discussion that every buy or sell of FIAT <> Crypto over 1000 EUR will be monitored somehow in a database. we will see how this will play out but expect something in this direction in the future.

EDIT: it could mean if you have a German Bank and you work with Kraken you should stay under 1000 EUR back and forth with Kraken and the Bank. the plan is to copy the anti ML law of gold where the limit is 2000 EUR to be anonymous. but Crypto seams more dangerous for them so the lowered the limit to 1000 EUR. without ANY proof of essential ML in the past. cash is still king for crime.
