It's a possibility. It's a tad expensive though. I'm keen to learn how to make one anyway, so I'll try and do it. It might take longer, but it's free and I learned new skills.  btw, guys. Request for Reddit Tip Bot: Can we make it so it's easier for someone to figure out how to use when they visit /r/cypherfunks? Maybe some sidebar info? Right now it took me a while to figure out how to even load the bot, and I've used other reddit bots before. We need some clear documentation I've pushed docs to Git - they just need adding to a Wiki page on Reddit. It's already in Markdown too, so just copy/paste. Now that I think of it, that would be pretty cool if you could tip or "vote" each song directly using Funk in a player.. (kind of like Pandora's thumbs up or Facebook Like, but using Funk coins) it would provide the artist incentive to create good works under the Cypherfunks, as they would be generating Funk from their work, and also provide an interesting rating system for the songs themselves as you can then list the songs that have earned the most Funk, in all different ways (all time, per week, that day, etc) People can easily vote what they like with their Funk. But again that comes down to linking each song to a unique funk address, that all then links back to the original creator so they get the funk credit for their work.. Just thinking out loud...
Yep, that's exactly what I had in mind. A player for tipping music. You authenticate with your SoundCloud account, add a tipping addres (for FUNK). Then the cypherplayer [or whatever it is called], randoms through the music. If you like you tip right then and there. All music is allowed [even non-cypherfunks music]. But it is apparent that it is a cypherfunk project. There will be links to the music and so forth. That's why I thought, it's best to do it as a separate player, rather than in the same wallet software. In terms of making it easier for people to understand [band + crypto], my thoughts are that it's best to keep the wallet JUST a wallet. |

On the Reddit, maybe make a sticky post with the links to Soundcloud and the bounties for packs.. that way it's the first thing new visitors see?
Sounds like a good idea to me - something that allows people to very easily see what's going on. Is anybody interested in the concept of having a built-in Cypherfunks player in the wallet for SoundCloud stuff? Qt's HTTP libs and markup display options are great. If so I may look at issuing a pull request. Should be pretty easy to grab the data and embed into a wallet page via the API. Been thinking about that too. But more as a separate player. In terms of UX, not entirely sure how great it would be if it is IN the same software as the wallet. I was thinking a website where-by all Cypherfunks songs would be played at random with a FUNK address tied to click. Clicking it opens up the wallet and you can tip? Either way! To experimentation! @vaudvaud: had the bounties sticky up for a while. But I'll put it back up along with a smaller FAQ [like r/bitcoin basically]. Good idea! |

I'm digging the new website and I'm glad the reddit tipbot is up! Will be tipping funk a lot in the near future Now time to work on a new logo!! Winning! For what it is worth, I quite like the current logo. Simplistic and signifies the hashing [crypto], the music note [band] and the extended red F [FUNK]. But it is not my place to decide. This is a decentralized project. Looking forward to what you come up with! |

n00bnoxious implemented a tipbot! It seems to be running perfectly fine on Reddit now. http://www.reddit.com/r/thecypherfunksIt is /u/FUNKTipbot. Stress testing for a day or two, but seems to be epic. I suggest we start going to /r/thisisourmusic and start giving constructive advice (most important) and then giving a tip as well. And yes. Some new stuff is planned. Been thinking today of a music player where anyone could verify with their soundcloud and connect a wallet. It's then like a random player. If you find a great song, you can tip FUNK. But I'm so bogged down with other stuff, I'm not promising anything soon with regards to that. |

I think constant increase in supply of 1 314 000 000 per year at four years later is not a good idea; might be the reason not getting many interests of miners, may be not if I am wrong. But anyway, no limit in the amount is really contrast to any other coins. Usually before mining a coin, I think about the ratio what I have mined to the total supplies, and see if this is a reasonable number. Can we modify this so that get coins halved/reduced with a certain rate, and fix the total supplies?
In the 5th year it's only a supply increase of 2.6%, which is VERY low. There-after it decreases [as percentage] each year. It will only be 100 billion after 40 years. That's aeons away for such a project. The reason why this is done, is that for 80% of altcoins, after they've mined most of the supply, transaction fees won't ever be enough to keep miners involved with the community. Effectively killing most altcoins. 5000 per block is small enough, but more than potential tx fees in the future to keep miners involved. In other words. Demand has to grow by more than about 2.5% a YEAR for your coins to retain its value. And that is entirely doable. 4 years is A LONG time in crypto. We hope to have you on board. |

New site looks good.. I keep wanting to click on the graphics for Internet Band, and Currency though, maybe hot link them like the top bar? I think it still needs something more on the crypto side -I see you have links for the exchanging it, and the brief technical aspects, and a link to the wallet,but with no idea how to use it, setup, or mine, or even a link of resources for the info.. at worst I'd think link them to the first post here, that at least gets them the pools and other info? Even experienced miners need to know what the available pools and stuff are, and there is no links to them on the page. I know the crypto side can get to be a pretty deep rabbit hole.. but something to at least get them pointed to basic mining so they can generate their own funk.. ? The mining right now is pretty light, I think that if I turned all my miners back towards it (and I don't have much) I'd be generating over 50% of the hash sometimes, the global is getting pretty low at times. Just my 2 cryptos on it..  Music side is looking good and growing fast... I added a link to the technical stuff. I guess it would help to add a "how to use cryptocurrency" post as well.
