Festivals are in a couple months. Let's see how much we can grow before then!

Just filmed an insert for the 1 o clock news on South African TV about The Cypherfunks. Will post when it is available!
Has some shots of me doing "coding" and shots of the cryptorush markets. Fun.

I think tomorrow there will be another pool coming on board. I was PM'ing with an operator from another coin and he said he'd set one up tomorrow. Hopefully will bring some more people on board this good little project.

The first two blocks feel upside down to me. The black "box" with the logo should be on top, it's really the brand + an introduction... then the video should go under that... it still feels a bit raw overall with no navigation (not very user-friendly)... the background stuff just makes it more busy imo... hopefully there's a rockin' designer out there who might come on board...

Just one more thought... if this is trying to crossover to music-lovers... i really think you need some more introduction about cryptocurrencies on the site, an introduction, how you can use it (in the future) etc....

I dig it. I think the Coindesk.com article should be emphasized on the front page. (Like, "as mentioned in Coindesk.com!")

Yeah you are correct. There needs to be a navigation panel/menu at the top DEFINITELY. Also, the wallet picture at the bottom looks over-cropped and cut-off.

Thanks for the feedback! @organizer: Okay. Yeah. Intro should be first, then video. And yes, a cryptocurrency should be explained. I have a link to a description: http://blog.thecypherfunks.com/cryptocurrency. I'll move it to the front-page. But what do you think of that description? You want something simple [paragraph length]. Think I'm going to add an additional line such as "Fast, very secure, transfer of value". @neuroMode: Yes, going to add some press snippets! Good idea. I'm going to redo it, and model it mostly off of Ethereum's site: <nav> brand one-line [make music with the world] and then a slalom. Thoughts?

The insert didn't air today. There was breaking news on the TV. Hopefully it airs tomorrow! I spent the morning getting a totally new site up. Thoughts? It's at least a lot better than the previous site right? http://thecypherfunks.com/

Should actually remove the got FUNK. It's mainly there to offset the balance from the 'back to top' on the right.

New site looks good.. I keep wanting to click on the graphics for Internet Band, and Currency though, maybe hot link them like the top bar? I think it still needs something more on the crypto side -I see you have links for the exchanging it, and the brief technical aspects, and a link to the wallet, but with no idea how to use it, setup, or mine, or even a link of resources for the info.. at worst I'd think link them to the first post here, that at least gets them the pools and other info? Even experienced miners need to know what the available pools and stuff are, and there is no links to them on the page. I know the crypto side can get to be a pretty deep rabbit hole.. but something to at least get them pointed to basic mining so they can generate their own funk.. ? The mining right now is pretty light, I think that if I turned all my miners back towards it (and I don't have much) I'd be generating over 50% of the hash sometimes, the global is getting pretty low at times. Just my 2 cryptos on it.. Music side is looking good and growing fast...

I think constant increase in supply of 1 314 000 000 per year at four years later is not a good idea; might be the reason not getting many interests of miners, may be not if I am wrong. But anyway, no limit in the amount is really contrast to any other coins. Usually before mining a coin, I think about the ratio what I have mined to the total supplies, and see if this is a reasonable number. Can we modify this so that get coins halved/reduced with a certain rate, and fix the total supplies?

Will add it to the blog.thecypherfunks.com/cryptocurrency post.

In the 5th year it's only a supply increase of 2.6%, which is VERY low. There-after it decreases [as percentage] each year. It will only be 100 billion after 40 years. That's aeons away for such a project. The reason why this is done, is that for 80% of altcoins, after they've mined most of the supply, transaction fees won't ever be enough to keep miners involved with the community. Effectively killing most altcoins. 5000 per block is small enough, but more than potential tx fees in the future to keep miners involved. In other words. Demand has to grow by more than about 2.5% a YEAR for your coins to retain its value. And that is entirely doable. 4 years is A LONG time in crypto. We hope to have you on board.
