Hmm it is strange that it was all in the same block.
No. There's nothing strange here. If you use a tool which allows you to sweep private keys quickly, this is exactly what would happen.
2602  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bounty Managers on: November 19, 2018, 11:27:41 PM
Why are some people listed in the poll but not in the thread? Pardon me, just found this today. More notably, why is this guy still listed:

Name: BlockEye
Rank: Legendary
Portfolio:
Reputation: ? ? ?: -2 / +7
Contact: Telegram
While trust ratings generally don't tell you anything about the skill of a BM (bounty hunters are much more likely to leave positive ratings on a BM who doesn't do proper checks; and BMs don't get trust for any related activities otherwise), this one seems to be a clear case of abusing a number of things (unfortunately). Undecided
2603  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ⛓LIST⛓ BitcoinTalk's Escrow Providers: Ranking & Blacklist ☠ Avoid Scammers ☠ on: November 19, 2018, 11:22:03 PM
you guys need to update everything , i thought i was in the clear when i read this thread but then going into each use you see the negative trust they each have. ... Sad
You must be confused. No personal disputes are relevant to this ranking, especially not with the included disclaimers. There isn't an existing issue with anyone currently listed in this thread from what I've seen just now.
2604  Other / Meta / Re: account blocked today over a year old and 1500+ posts on: November 19, 2018, 11:27:11 AM
This idiot is even deliberately breaking bounty rules, and his spam is so bad that his video entries are text-to-speech entries. Of course he tags me when I delete his entries and block him, only to discover he's a banned plagiarizer. Roll Eyes
You're a idiot first u gave stakes and then remove the entries are you were drunk when u give the stakes ? I see your trust score shows your real character lots of negative trust have already earned

The staff needs to move faster when it comes to obvious, repetitive abusers.

Already added for TG.

The deadline is now officially 20/11, far longer than was originally anticipated. The invalid entries will be wiped afterwards.
The deadline for the TG campaign (from this bounty; not part 1!) is in 3 days!

Update the extended extension is now over. All remaining TG payments will be sent shortly.
2608  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 17, 2018, 08:06:23 AM
If segwit has a fatal flaw then how has bitcoin survived for a year?  It has a 100B jackpot for the first person to crack it.  Even if they could only get 1/2 a % they'd be set for life.

Where's the hack?
The flaw is that the incompetent side has an inferiority complex; they are unable to produce anything remotely beneficial thus they have to FUD Bitcoin.

If a malicious actor were to gain control of 51%+ of the network hash power, he could change the network rules, rescind segwit, and take all the coins that were in segwit addresses.

Of course, there's a significant chance no one would use the compromised network except the attacker, which would make the whole thing moot.
At which point they chain would diverge, and they'd create Bitcoin No-Segwit. Non issue.

If you're unstable and desperate to gain recognition for non-existing contributions, no wonder you'd be envious of this man.

2609  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: NELUNS: "$136MILLION" OF NOTHING: yet another ICO scam... on: November 17, 2018, 07:14:52 AM
Maybe mods are trying not to overdo it with deleting such threads because of a mindset similar to:
How to win in one step: Hire a spam-service and use it on competitor's thread -> it gets locked/trashed. Roll Eyes

But what even is enough in that case? 200+ pages of plagiarism and trash posts aren't enough to lock the thread for Neluns? Why not?
Well in this case, it has been going on since the start and has no signs of stopping. If it were not done by them, it would have been reported by them. Therefore, it is safe to assume that they're the ones behind it and the thread can be swiftly removed.

2612  Other / Meta / Re: My thoughts on why threads that are spam-flooded should be deleted on sight on: November 16, 2018, 02:09:48 PM
Which ICOs and altcoins would you see as competing? I'd say that all of them are competing with each other in a way or another.
People trying to market the same/similar thing are directly competing with each other.

Basically, if a thread is locked, it's position in the front page will be replaced by others. It would be very expensive to drown out the competition this way.
You fail to realize that these "bumping services" are very likely to cost small amounts. You could kill a competitor's thread by investing a couple hundred $, which is nothing given that projects are commonly having soft/hard caps in millions of $. This is why this policy wouldn't work; too prone to abuse.
2613  Economy / Reputation / Re: Rambotnic on: November 16, 2018, 01:18:08 PM
-snip-
I am totally down for a personal scrutiny session later on. I will look forward to examining all the evidence with you and help you clear you negative trust. Even you deserve a chance to be declared innocent if you are. However having read some of the threads about you we have a long road ahead my friend.

You have been wrong on some very big projects before. Why deny which is observable in the public domain.
Here you go again. Do you think that someone like you can fool me with these pajeet rehashed tactics[1]? Retrospective of your actions:
  • Call for "observable facts", not personal matters. Then you naturally try to introduce information related to the latter. Here's a quick breakdown of your failed attempt:
    • Introduce poison: Indirectly state that I'm "one of the most devious scammers " in your previous post by referring to statements made by others[2].
    • Switch: Offer help to clear accusations, emphasizing on their quantity (none of which are true, which makes the quantity irrelevant), i.e. things which are untrue to begin with.
    • Introduce yet more poison about my character by bringing up ghosts (predictions?) that are not even remembered by their author.

If you were even remotely objective, non-selective (i.e. not a hypocrite), and stood behind your words, you would have been defending those that were actually mistreated a long time ago. This is assuming that you have good judgement, but given the kind of person that you are defending after they were clearly caught doing something that is against the rules, it is clear that you do not.

[1] You need a lot of soy IV before you can play something like this on me mr. leftist NPC.
[2] Cute deflection. Kiss

I'll let myself out after this destruction; enough indulging 'geckos for one day. You can continue to slander my name without me.
Cheerio.
2614  Economy / Reputation / Re: Rambotnic on: November 16, 2018, 12:47:03 PM
*noises and whining*
You switch from inducing random, irrelevant information to trying to defend cheaters too incoherently. It is due to this that your questionable motivations and fake coherent arguments easily become obvious.

Plagiarism or no plagiarism, Darkstar's counter or not, rambotnic can't be trusted due to his behavior anyways. Oh look, I was right again unlike the leftist well-poisoner. Surprising.

2615  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/pasting) here. Calling for Mod action: please permban on: November 16, 2018, 12:40:14 PM
Remains unresolved.
2616  Economy / Reputation / Re: Rambotnic on: November 16, 2018, 12:30:19 PM
-removed poisoning the well and cherry picking-
That's the amount of substance that your defense has. You are clearly motivated by something shady here that we are not aware of, thus I can't trust you either. Unless you reveal what the reason is, or you stop your selective enforcement bullshit as well as your subtle ad hominem attempts, you may as well stop responding. I am not going to waste time writing long responses to logical fallacies and hypocrites.

He BROKE the rules when he plagiarized, end of story.
2617  Economy / Reputation / Re: Rambotnic on: November 16, 2018, 12:09:53 PM
Either you're an idiot or you're intentionally lying. I literally stated that I've requested for an exemption in the past, which was rejected by the forum. I have accepted this decision, and have therefore started asking for non selective enforcement which is why Rambotic has to be banned. Calling out for equal enforcement is not a hypocritical stance, unless you're a delusional kool-aid drinker.

That persons copy and paste was not a fair comparison as I have shown before.
There is no 'some plagiarism is fine' vs. 'some plagiarism isn't fine'.

you have often altered your opinion on things that were clearly wrong to start with.
This is false. I am almost never wrong with neither my opinions nor my ratings. FYI if you don't change a false opinion in light of proper evidence you're an idiot, which is clearly not something that you understand (trying to demonize this like a proper NPC).

Every person is worthy of a fair assessment of the observable fact.
Miss me with that leftist/globalist garbage. Roll Eyes Rambotic is an undesirable shitposter that broke the rules. That is the only objective fact here.

My question to you is: Why have you taken such a keen interest in this shitposter? You aren't that active in this part of town.
2618  Economy / Reputation / Re: Rambotnic on: November 16, 2018, 11:54:29 AM
Lauda also provides no basis for his argument.

The entire thing is a waste of board time and resource.
No. You're just a selective hypocrite. Either ban people who plagiarism or don't. If you make exceptions (which doesn't seem to be the case given that people have asked for them in the past (including myself)), then this user is certainly not worthy of one either.
2619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoin core 0.16.3: high resource usage on: November 16, 2018, 10:56:48 AM
But i am already synced then how it is blocking?
This is what you're looking for:

A -reindex will not just cause "high resource usage" it will try to use ALL available resources (maxing out CPU and/or I/O depending on which one is the constraint, and using as much memory as you've allocated for it). I once tried it on a VPS out of curiosity, the complete thing was practically inaccessible until a (pruned) sync was complete.
2620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BOUNTY: Lost Coin Recovery on: November 16, 2018, 10:53:14 AM
The problem with Steganography is that you could have hidden your wallet.dat into any video, audio, image or text... 12Gb can (and probably will) contain hundreds of potential files... Without knowing which technique you used and which password you used, it's a daunting task
This is extremely bad practice when it comes to handling money. There is no guarantee that the file is even in there at all. Lips sealed
