Second attempt at crashing it.  Roll Eyes
1682  Other / Meta / Re: A wave of bans: 400 yesterday, 300 the day before. What changed? on: May 12, 2019, 06:09:40 AM
I'm just waiting for something to nuke me: It's very likely that I made a mistake somewhere during my shitposting days. Cheesy

You'd have to be nuked 9 times.

I'm watching you!
1683  Economy / Reputation / Re: What's wrong with Vod, and Hhampuz on: May 12, 2019, 05:48:58 AM
You won't tag vod for this because you do the same thing, doxing a person to others, threatening to report them to the IRS, harassing their family, in a which hunt, obviously..
Quoted and archived your lying. No wonder you support political games; you're dishonest yourself. I've tackled this stupidity on the next level, and have given them positive ratings and will counter any political leftist censoring by eddie et. al. There's no need to further discuss with ad hominem baboons like yourself.
(appropriate use of a double post).

You quite literally did exactly this to zeroaxl, having even less evidence he was not paying taxes.
I did not do any such thing; do not post lies about events just because they happened a long time ago. His post deserves red trust but these policies nowadays.. Maybe my reputation got scammed?
1684  Economy / Reputation / Re: What's wrong with Vod, and Hhampuz on: May 12, 2019, 05:45:46 AM
I saw a thread in which OgN was apparently doxed but as of when I saw it, the dox was removed. The thread in question appears to now have been removed. Is this about the same thread?
Yes.

If Vod received merit on a post in which OgN was doxed, this is an example of a flaw in the merit system.
No, unless you want to censor what opinions, statements or other people's actions are allowed to get merit.

If you may ask me, this is pretty scary as hell. I know I have never plagiarized in the past or shared contents without citing sources but hey, I have seen legendary members, even some DT members and also people who have been bursting plagiarized white papers get the bans lately  Shocked

1687  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: RENTO BOUNTY MANAGER - cheating Signature Bounty. on: May 12, 2019, 04:59:41 AM
@craslovell you posted so many times in a row that you've broken the rules sufficient times to get yourself banned all at once. I'll conjure a destructive reply soon.

More participants in a particular campaign then that campaign needs big allocation of tokens.
What is this even supposed to mean? We're talking stakes here, not fixed numbers.
Inexperienced user he is. If one's concern is the total number of participants, then one needs to find a BM that knows how to properly set up the campaign to tackle this problem.

Also - greedy idiot?  kind of harsh.
Not even close to how poetically I'd like to describe this stupidity. You put everyone and your account on the line for 1 ETH. That is some bad judgement.

I'm archiving this thread as well so you can't decide to delete my proof that I'm not guilty of anything other than being blindsided by people on the default trust list that didn't bother to give me a chance to present my case or read the facts before crapping on my reputation.
Your reputation? You must be confused, you have no reputation.

Follow this guide:
1) Edit the thread to make it clear that it is very dodgy or a scam (possibly even wipe it out), title as well.
2) Add link to discussion/accusation in thread.
3) Lock it.
Anything other than this three-step guide and I'll tag the OP.
Anything other than this and I won't remove my negative. It has to be clear to everyone that the project has scammed. We are not talking about some bounty missmanagement (which is so frequent that it is alright), we are talking about outright scamming.
1688  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar. on: May 12, 2019, 04:54:32 AM
Interesting responses. I'll keep watching how the events unfold in the background.
I'll post if/when I receive a response from the IRS.  Other than that, events don't involve this forum any further.  :/
Sorry Lauda, but be patient and trust he will get what is coming to him.
Well a response would certainly settle the who is right and ho is wrong debate. I'll wait I guess.
1689  Economy / Reputation / Re: What's wrong with Vod, and Hhampuz on: May 12, 2019, 04:52:18 AM
Neg.-rating someone just because they sent out 1 merit is completely backwards and proper trust abuse in my view. It's similar to political de-platforming.
It may not be neg-worthy on its own but it sure lets you know where they stand..
So what about it? IMO plenty of people could anonymously DOXX and/or anonymously support the DOXX-ing of Og. I'm not allowed to merit such a thread? Objectively it took effort to create regardless of whether it is right or wrong, and that's how merit should be used. Don't use your morality and nepotism to pollute the system.

As I had said, I would have much preferred having some sort of forum tools to address this in a completely different way. My red tags have never been permanent but I felt like this was the closest tool available to get my point across/initiate change. All the right eyes are on this topic right now.. instead of trying to hang me, lets figure out how to fix this. You think I want to red tag some of the best members on various boards?
I won't tag Vod for this action and I'd certainly counter any ratings on all the meriters. The DOXX has already been removed. This action won't prevent future DOXXing. All the right eyes on this thread does what exactly?

Typos.

..being arrested for perjury..
Sidebar: If I believe somebody is evading taxes, and I report them and it turns out that I was wrong I'd get arrested for perjury over there? Or are you referring to some other parts of this.. thread/thing/whatever is going on?
Depending on what form you file, yes. Vod claimed he was going to get a reward which means he’d have to file a form and sign under penalty of perjury that the information he’s providing is accurate. Since it is nothing but provable lies, he would most definitely be charged. If he spoke to a professional like he claims, he’d know this.

That's what my report was based on.   Was OG lying when he wrote that, and how would he prove I knew he was lying?  How would he show I claimed I was getting a reward?  How would he know what form I was told to use?    Or will he just state we misunderstood his cherry picked words... again?
Interesting responses. I'll keep watching how the events unfold in the background.
1691  Economy / Reputation / Re: What's wrong with Vod, and Hhampuz on: May 12, 2019, 04:45:33 AM
For the meriters, I can understand the argument for red-trust, but I tend to think that it's at the wrong level. If the meriter was meriting it because they were actively thinking, "I want to make the forum really vicious, where everyone is constantly tearing each other apart for stupid things, and this post moves in that direction," even that's not really a trust-relevant motive, just a very unhelpful motive. And probably the meriters were thinking more innocent things than that.

1693  Other / Meta / Re: Login in the forum using your Finger Print on: May 11, 2019, 09:49:55 PM
Biometrics =/= password. Biometrics are more of an username, but the industry developed this backwards standard that will work out just fine one day in the future. I'm certain.

however I think it lowers your security somewhat.
Any proper security expert will tell you that it lowers your security significantly. Use it only on your phone if you really have to as that device gets unlocked the most number of times per day. Do not use it for anything else, never ever.
I agree. But I was assuming the password on his shared windows 2000 computer is "god". And that his hotel wifi connection mysteriously requires installing screen share software. In that case it only marginally reduces security.
 Grin
If your password is "god", then you're a lost cause anyways. You don't need security considerations in your life, you need the Arhitect to build a v2 of you. Wink
1694  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 11, 2019, 09:48:05 PM
the entire blockchain on your mobile phone? wow. let´s hope they sell a lot of them. good news!
Yeah let's run a node on a piece of spyware, what could possibly go wrong.
Nothing will go wrong. You need to consider who adversaries are, what they might gain, etc. It is perfectly okay to run a node on a mobile phone. Actually, running your own node on a phone would be a significant security improvement in comparison to SPV wallets.

1696  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius coin on: May 11, 2019, 09:36:13 PM
I have another 0.5 Casacius coin. its a brass one. One of the very last ones sold my Mike. It comes with mikes Signature PDF showing a pic of the coin on it.

Im looking for 1 btc for it. I appreciate some of you will say 0.75-0.8 is more probable. but I bought this for my son hes 2 years old. so I dont need to liquidate it for ages yet! however I like the idea of digital funds for liquidity reasons.

Will post pics soon.

Yeah just to be honest with you, not one person here will buy that for 1BTC.  I totally understand putting it up for sale though.. "If it sells awesome, if not oh well". Good luck w/sale.
Got to be dumb to buy one for 1 BTC when you could get a lot of them sub 0.9 BTC easily though.
1697  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: RENTO BOUNTY MANAGER - cheating Signature Bounty. on: May 11, 2019, 08:15:40 PM
A disclaimer does not absolve you of not acting accordingly after the scam. The user is almost equally guilty as the project owners and/or bounty manager(s). If you don't want trouble and don't know what you're doing, then do not post threads on behalf of others because you are a low-life greedy idiot. You're welcome and #IhateScams.
Last year I have contacted you for advice, do you remember? The case, when I was up for a deal to post a bounty thread for a project.
But I was in doubt and fear if the project turns to a scam and I went to you for a suggestion. You advised me to put a disclaimer clear and visible to protect myself and I did it!

I don't know what happened with that project as I never visited that bounty thread nor I have been contacted by anyone with any issue.
So my question is to you if that project turned out to be a scam then will you the first one to tag me?

#IhateScams
I don't remember, but it doesn't matter. If it turns out botched and you don't act on it as soon as possible, then I'll be the first to tag you, yes. It splits into two situations at this point:
1) Disclaimer is in thread. There should be some sort of proof that the disclaimer existed in the past (or at least pre-accusations). If it was added sometime later to protect OP after things became dodgy, then it's a tag.
2) Disclaimer is not in thread. Is alright if you can prove that you are truly not part of the project and acted as soon as possible.
The proper way to handle it would be to:
1) Edit the thread to make it clear that it is very dodgy or a scam (possibly even wipe it out), title as well.
2) Add link to discussion/accusation in thread.
3) Lock it.
Anything other than this three-step guide and I'll tag the OP.

Do you want to guess how much time need to pass, and how many messages need to be sent (I'm sure the author received atleast a dozen already) before he comes whining "I didn't know"? Roll Eyes Disclaimers do not absolve you of responsibility, and my belief is so strong that I wouldn't agree with someone's counter and would counter the counter. Way too many people have been hurt because of such nonsense.
1698  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: RENTO BOUNTY MANAGER - cheating Signature Bounty. on: May 11, 2019, 07:28:19 PM
In regards to the bounty poster, my question is, how appropriate is tagging craslovell who had a disclaimer saying he has nothing to do with the project. He is just posting on behalf of them.
1699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.18.0 Released on: May 11, 2019, 05:54:21 PM
[...] and if the Bitcoin Core project sees enough additional adoption, it will instead default to bech32 receiving addresses in Bitcoin Core 0.19 (approximately November 2019).
How will 'enough adoption' be determined? The percentage of transactions sent to native SegWit addresses? Number of the most popular services which support sending to bech32 addresses?
How many people are using native SegWit isn't an important metric; it's the ecosystem support that is needed or users will end up with compatibility issues when attempting to transact with each other.
1700  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: RENTO BOUNTY MANAGER - cheating Signature Bounty. on: May 11, 2019, 04:42:58 PM
There goes the reason why bounty participants should also check the manage and his experience. Lot of them out there in service section have no idea of this and no idea regarding how to deal with some situations. Wonder why projects still happen to choose inexperienced and managers with no status at all.    Huh
And according to the OP, the bounty manager has changed payment terms after the campaign and I usually do not see that 1 stake means 1 coin.
This never happened or happens so rarely that nobody remembers such a case.
