Yeah, 2 GB blocks greatly improves security, usability, and incentives.

It is only about sending p2p cash, for fraction of a cent - stored on a public  blockchain - the world needs that new thing and the world is maximum decentralized, no need to be scared of 'central' control as we see from core and their way of dictatorship planning like in communism or kingdom.

Yeah, team Core is a communistic monarchy with King Gregory making all the decisions. Craigoshi Wrightomoto is leading a meritocracy that follows the only vision that he always intended.

Quoting for reference. I truly hope this is sarcasm.

You're literally an ANTIFA member.
This is good to know. Keep trying.
1943  Economy / Reputation / Re: "Last of the V8s" is filing fake scam reports on: March 07, 2019, 01:09:50 PM
I came to understand, feedbacks which aren't related to trade or scam like activities shouldn't be left with a positive or negative tag. The third option which is the neutral feedback should be used in a case if you feel the need lo leave a feedback.
Which is false. Stop spreading misinformation.

I don't know why you think it is a misinformation, but thats exactly what's stated by theymos, about the usage of trust.

In particular, in my view:
 - Giving negative trust for being an annoying poster is inappropriate, since this has nothing to do with their trustworthiness. If they're disrupting discussion or never adding anything, then that's something for moderators to deal with, and you should report their posts and/or complain in Meta about it.
Annoying =/= consistently posting misinformation (there is no doubt about OP when it comes to this clearly). This is elementary school knowledge, don't waste our time.

I am also really annoyed by his topic with basically wrong guidelines regarding tags, which he keeps bumping as if it was THE TRUTH.

Sadly there is little that can be done (based on current forum policies) to prevent the spread of such or any other misinformation.
1944  Economy / Reputation / Re: Positive/Neutral Trust on: March 07, 2019, 01:08:31 PM
This is the big issue that separates me from Lauda I think as far as our idealism with trust ratings...  Giving out positive trust to those who don't deserve it is potentially much more damaging than not labeling a newbie as a scammer in my opinion.
Unless I misunderstood your post, we are on the same page on this. I'm as conservative with positive ratings as it gets (percentage wise). I find green trust very dangerous, and we've had many cases of light/dark green users scamming others (this includes only the portion of threads that I have personally read, there are likely more).

I think that the lending section is the more obvious one for "buying" positive trust feedback, not the actual trading.

Collectibles is filled with members on DT, and I believe I'm the only somewhat active DT member in Lending. I don't think anyone uses Lending for 'buying' trust.
But there are lenders that provide loans to buy trust. Roll Eyes

I was contemplating whether to act on this or not for a long time just like I did with bcash scammers. There you go.
1946  Economy / Reputation / Re: An obvious case of trust abuse (DT members welcome) on: March 07, 2019, 07:21:37 AM
There's just one thing that I find worth mentioning. Lucius said that deisik should have sent a PM to resolve the matter before starting this thread and got angry at deisik for trying to get dt on his side instead of talking to him. Why didn't Lucius PM deisik about his annoying bumping before painting him red?
It usually works in reverse, that's why. Lucius is not in dt from what I can see, thus I see no issue here.

I'm curious to know why minerjones (Most Trusted user) excludes theymos (Admin). Is there a story I missed?
Same here, minerjones exclude more than 50% DT1. Wondering how he have exclude admin  Huh.
He does not have to explain anything and one should be able to exclude theymos without others poking around like there's lava flowing everywhere.

Might as well be that the account was sold? Doubt it though.
Facepalm.
1948  Economy / Reputation / Re: @suchmoon could you provide info on this on: March 05, 2019, 09:23:18 PM
It is time to drop this and/or any other threads.
1949  Economy / Reputation / Re: Community opinion on Signature campaign spreadsheets on: March 05, 2019, 11:29:27 AM
Unless there is something shady going on, I don't see a valid reason for hiding them.

These people are effectively posting disinformation.

I am not surprised to see you write that...
CIA agents make for very good legitimate presidents. Roll Eyes

Yeah, absolutely agree about Yahoo. Check this Yahoo's trusted feedback from Baryom Bitsler campaign owner:

Quote
We are talking about $250,000

It can be a proof that Yahoo is trusted for any amount while he is escrowing or managing the campaigns. And definitely yahoo's rwputation on this forum is more worthy than $250,000 Smiley
No doubt with that he is a really trustworthy person, imagine on that big amount but he still returns to the owner.
Either you are honest, or you are not. The amount involved is completely irrelevant. Those for which amounts may matter are unlikely to be completely honest. Yahoo is on the right side of things.
1953  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Casascius 1 BTC Brass Coin Series-1 (2011) for 1.4 BTC on: February 21, 2019, 08:33:44 PM
Looks very good, seems about the price that it would go for now. Will know more soon.

I got some scam accusations though as it was my first auction and didn`t quite know how prove them wrong Roll Eyes
Better safe with newbies than sorry!
1954  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Casascius 1 BTC Brass Coin Series-1 (2011) for 1.4 BTC on: February 21, 2019, 08:22:30 PM
I auctioned one last fall for 1.2BTC
What condition was it in?
1955  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Casascius 1 BTC Brass Coin Series-1 (2011) for 1.5 BTC on: February 21, 2019, 08:08:26 PM
Thanks for the hint. Will follow your advice. Lowering it to 1.4 BTC.
If I get some reference rates privately, I'll share if I'm allowed to here. Cheers.
1956  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Casascius 1 BTC Brass Coin Series-1 (2011) for 1.5 BTC on: February 21, 2019, 08:05:24 PM
It seems like the public interest for this is at an all-time-low, I'll probably have to wait until the next bull run lol

If you're interested, you can send me offers and I'll PM in case I decide to lower the price again.
The problem isn't in interest, the problem lies with the asking price and the condition.

Hm, thanks for the help. The coin was never subjected to any chemical element or humidity, so it should be easy to clean the stains in the brass for a brand new polish state. I'll try to find a coin specialist in my town who can help me with the task.
Nooooo  Shocked. please take my advise: never clean a coin
I'll do it with a coin I already peeled first, just to be sure it's safe Smiley
I'm no expert in this matter compared to some dedicated coin collectors here, but I was about to say the same as wttbs. I don't think I've heard of a case where coin cleaning ended up well. The best that you could do is adjust the price to fit the market more and it should sell. I don't remember a recent sale of this coin thus couldn't give you a reference pricing but I would not pay 1.5 BTC for it.

1958  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk is Dying? on: February 21, 2019, 12:52:19 PM
Let's be realistic. Bitcointalk is dying. But this is a controlled decrease in activity. The emergence of the merit system on the forum created by moderators in order to reduce the appearance of new users and create problems for everyone else. Is it spam? No. You have to admit it. I don't believe anyone who sings the praises of this system. But this is not the only problem. The decline in activity in the cryptocurrency market contributed to a sharp decline in the number of new projects. Previously, each forum participant could take part in signature companies and become a member of the cryptocurrency community without money. Now it's almost impossible. I think that the forum moderators consider their mission to popularize cryptocurrencies fulfilled and the number of users will be constantly reduced.
I refuse to believe that anyone other than people involved in account farming and/or shitposting could write such nonsense. Oh wait. Roll Eyes

To those of you who would like to see more healthy discussions, there is a simple solution - start quality discussion threads, and contribute to those that have already been started. I thought that my coffee lounge thread in the Ivory Tower might create some interesting opinions. In fact there have been some good replies, but it is pretty much ignored. Sometimes I start to think that members are only interested in pushing their signatures.
But, but, my shitposting income!!
1959  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stake.com (SteveStake) is encouraging spam. on: February 20, 2019, 11:42:23 PM
I believed this can be consider as stake.com sig spammer. Deadline is near they have to add some efforts to increase their post counts.

Issue: Post time interval
This is what happens when you skip hiring real managers such as Hhampuz or Yahoo, but what do I know. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
1960  Economy / Reputation / Re: Cloudbet last scam accusation, what do you think? on: February 20, 2019, 11:40:25 PM
I'm sure you can fight your own battles, besides I won't side with either party because of all the usual leftist bullshit #bias, #abuse, #harassment, #thinkOfTheChildren, #FjShill.  Smiley
I am too old to lead such a battle  Grin, plus i lack experience and immunity against everything mentioned above. and based on my tiny tittle experience in this forum you seem to fit best for such task, after all the B.S against you, you still going strong, i am sure the KYC battle will be a piece of cake for you.
I get worn out defending myself against the bullshit that other DT members let slide; if this was happening right now, you'd probably not hear any input from me let alone see me lead the charge. Once I recharge again, maybe. But there is another problem (see last quote of this post).

I am curious too, if you happen to get an answer from Cloudbet, please let me know !
They would have already answered it if they wanted to  Smiley
We never really got any detailed information other than a little bit at the end.

And if one casinos would implement KYC at the time of registration, they would lose lot of potential customers. They would just move to another casino where they would be to game anonymously.
