2601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: in between the decision to hold or sell on: May 09, 2021, 04:48:57 AM
I would just tell him to think about it himself and make decision based on their own mind because honestly nothing good coming out of giving away financial advice. if thing doesn't go as planned you'll get blame and if thing go well you're not rewarded so why bother?
But i think you've done the right thing to let him make the final decision himself, though if the coin he's investing to can be considered shitcoin that has potential of rugpull or rather pump and dump market manipulation it's better to tell him to back off and sell the coin if they're not ready for the consequences.
2602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be hijacked by world billionaires??? on: May 08, 2021, 10:30:31 AM
It will not be easy for the elite to be able to manipulate the market, unless the elite is compact in making communities with each other so that market price movements are very influential because they have been manipulated. although Bitcoin is the crypto with the largest trading volume, the role of a group of whales can certainly influence the market price
Even 1 billionaire could give significant effect to the market like the obvious example is elon musk and by far the strongest weapons to affect the market are fud and shill. Any capital you spend to manipulate crypto will definitely get outweighed by these fuds and shill that takes next to none capital of yours. Though a group of whales could definitely affect the market if they make planned movement at the same time making their sell off or buying looks massive and gives sense of doom to many people psychologically like making the market fear of dumping.
2603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Erc20 tokens send fee on: May 08, 2021, 09:43:11 AM
Indeed, at this time the ERC20 fee fee is very high, and in my opinion the shipping cost is high because too many transactions that occur on the etherem network cause tremendous congestion, we must be patient waiting for costs to go down and wait for the token price to rise higher, so that there is a balance  fundamentals between the token price and the shipping cost,
according to information there will indeed be a price review in July from ethereum, but is this just a rumor to dampen it, so that many can wait for the situation until the specified month. but it is undeniable that many project owners have made innovations so that high costs can be reduced by looking for other alternative platforms and bsc is one that has begun to be used.

However, it is not easy to change the habits that have occurred in the course of using the ethereum platform. but all also do not want to experience greater losses if no improvements are made.
It is true that you say high traffic makes costs unable to be reduced, but of course there are many ways that can be done to reduce these high costs.
July there gonna be london hardfork to address the fee calculation so it's not just a mere rumour as everything is already scheduled before hand same with berlin hard fork. Also, there's not so much the dev can do to address the gas problem except the upcoming solution in july because there are just many factors that affect the gas price many of them are price increase (yes it's biggest cause by far), traffic, dapps and many more. because if they do have solution they would've resolved the problem from a long time ago as many people demands.
2604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Latin American e-commerce giant bought $ 7.8 million worth of bitcoins on: May 08, 2021, 07:51:53 AM
about a damn time. crypto is the future and if a tech giant didn't try to invest in blockchain technology it has I doubt they deserve to be called "tech" giant anymore. The thing I like about crypto is that it opens up a whole new audience and corporates to the open source project and if a company tries to invest to bitcoin or any blockchain based project, i'm pretty sure they're open to the idea of cryptocurrency. at this point I'm really looking forward to any other large corporation joining hands developing crypto space alongside the open source community as well as adopting cryptocurrency.
2605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers steal Ethereum, who is hurt? on: May 08, 2021, 06:30:55 AM
However, I really thought it's just an isolated case where the problem is mostly coming from the user, not the system itself, but I could be wrong.
This is the hacker's address according to the reddit post linked above:
https://etherscan.io/address/0xc940eda1fbe83db6e11d48eecad6f0de07915ffe
It has received many transactions in the last couple of days. So, I don't think this is an isolated case. The first transaction it received was two days ago. OP suspects that Trust wallet might be vulnerable but I think it's too early to draw conclusions.
He said the seed was stored in metal box and the only device he used to access it was an ipad pro, if the story that was shared in reddit is really true I believe it's the ipad itself that has been compromised and there's so many transactions that was made aswell, I doubt the activity done manually, I think it's malware or such, I know IpadOS is rather strict but anything can happen right? not to mention if the ipad was bought in second hand condition, it might have some kind of fishy software installed, etc. so many possibilities.
2606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Money flowing out of BTC into Altcoins on: May 07, 2021, 09:33:30 AM
BTC always gaining or recovering its dominance back once altcoin season is over and altcoin bearish come, the problem with altcoin as of today are how the investors are just temporarily there and don't have any intention to invest in most of altcoin for long except for the major altcoins or atleast those altcoins that have promising future.
As i observed many of the capital also flowing to BSC to fund those rather low quality projects where they could rugpull anytime and I honestly don't think they could be sustainable for long term.
2607  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID advanced the world into the future on: May 07, 2021, 06:37:16 AM
From the Covid disaster, of course, it has a very big impact on everyone, but behind it all there will be a lesson in itself. Although most countries have experienced economic collapse due to this pandemic, but behind it all have been able to give birth to new innovations from various ideas to overcome this problem. Like today, activities via the internet are increasingly being used by everyone, because the government is able to provide an appeal to reduce physical contact in this way, so that the existence of Covid is able to create a digital revolution simultaneously.
tbh the digital revolution only happening from either developed countries or middle-income countries where most of them already exposed to internet to begin with, the rest of countries that aren't really exposed to internet further falling down instead of birthing a new innovation.
but to be fair, if we see from the advancement of technology in this past year in an entire planet we could see that it has been growing so fast it's actually surprises me. Though, at this current time amid pandemic government have the most important role to allow the country succesfully taking advantage of the current pandemic where they could enforce some new regulation for that.
2608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Time it takes to launch onto the exchange? on: May 07, 2021, 04:49:51 AM
it really depends and I don't think any ordinary people would know the answer but from my observation it may takes months, however for more accurate answer you should try to talk to any project developer that succesfully got their coin listed in reputable exchange, though if it's some 3rd rated shady exchange we're talking about they just gonna require you to pay some amount of money.
anyway, each exchange have different requirement so you should figure that out by contacting the exchange itself through available contact specifically made for talking about listing.
2609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unban Bitcoin in pakistan on: May 07, 2021, 02:45:46 AM
if the unbanning didn't benefit the government themselves by any mean I doubt they really gonna unban it after all as you mentioned the news is still uncertain but if they truly do then it's really good.
Though after the ban I'm pretty sure the trading volume in there not gonna be that much which means it's not gonna affect bitcoin market that much, still a good start for the neighboring countries to follow as well.
If they can see the opportunity behind crypto they will surely unban it but sometimes lawmakers view clouded by other political interests.
2610  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID advanced the world into the future on: May 06, 2021, 09:56:32 AM
It certainly is, though it also takes many people's lives. Now many company also trying to approach a more efficient way to deal with the pandemic and while at the same time improving the workflow. I personally do like the nature of working remotely though it's just feel a lot more relaxing and all. Not to mention that the pandemic also forces us to use any digital means of paying things whether it's offline and online, at first it was through centralized digital payment services now it seems among the millenials we've been moving to cryptocurrency.
I wonder how much slower cryptocurrency gonna got its fame if not for the pandemic.
2611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uzbekistan legalizes cryptocurrency transactions on: May 06, 2021, 07:12:56 AM
Definitely a good decision from the government, as tbh government shouldn't meddle with such trivial thing like people sending money using crypto anyway they got something better to do and as long as the crypto transaction didn't break any law and looks legit it should be ok.
This is the right mindset of government and also giving their citizens a chance to further explore cryptocurrency instead of banning it just because some obscure reasoning. Other countries should definitely follow this step.
2612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My feelings after 11 years with crypto. on: May 06, 2021, 05:29:44 AM
No point in regretting, crypto market still offer the same opportunity anyway if you maybe keeping an eye to the market, even bitcoin still could go up to $100k there's no stopping people from making profit again and again through bitcoin though it's still kinda uncertain in many people's opinion.
Regardless whether your story is true or not we're still kinda at early phase of blockchain adoption if you're an IT person maybe you could make money from this once in a lifetime chance whether by working and being an blockchain developer, etc maybe wouldn't have as much ROI to those early investors but still worth to try.
2613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk please stop messing up the crypto market on: May 06, 2021, 02:07:25 AM
Elon musk and the tesla company have recently been accused of constant manipulation. We could say they are manipulating the market, but many people seem to be happy with this situation. because these manipulations make people money and they want it to continue. They are constantly following Elon Musk's tweets. people got used to this situation.
Manipulating doge maybe yes but I doubt he could be considered "manipulating" bitcoin market, he has influence but doesn't necessarily means he's manipulating it, the market itself could go up without even the help of elon musk but maybe not this high, even stocks are usually influenced by statements of some famous people as well but there's no one complaining of manipulation. Therefore if same thing happened to crypto more specifically bitcoin where the value keep increasing because of elon hype, it's simply because most of people are welcoming it.
2614  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto vs Stocks on: May 05, 2021, 09:36:33 PM
Crypto definitely better, so many millenials has now switching over to crypto since it's just more profitable and the problem with stock market more specifically coming from third world countries the manipulation is rampant by the whales, the price could literally be controlled by the whales through the use of their massive capital meanwhile most of cryptocurrencies nowadays already have big market which make such thing hard to do.
There's this trend of leaving stock market for crypto around the world and if that's true meaning people already see crypto as a better option for investment.
2615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yahoo Hates BTC: "Forget Bitcoin: Here are The Crypto Assets To Follow" on: May 05, 2021, 02:01:48 PM
That's like just a way for yahoo to improve view to their article, you know recently many medias are also making such clickbait article just for the views because crypto is so hot right now.
Just ignore this article really, I don't even think yahoo was intended to fud bitcoin anyway since i'm pretty sure such article isn't coordinated and published because the higher ups of yahoo intended but because journalist opinion.
not to mention this article created without any deep knowledge regarding the market condition seeing that he's recommending ltc over btc lol.
2616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Incorporating BTC the way forward for most companies? on: May 05, 2021, 11:42:34 AM
Depends, by incorporating BTC you could open up to a whole new userbase while also make huge profit from it but doesn't necessarily mean a company should incorporate it to go forward and i'm pretty sure not all company could take the risk of investing in BTC because it could potentially mess up with their company economy since as we all know crypto is high risk high return but a technology company should definitely incorporate it. Investment wise, it's still worrying but technology wise, cryptocurrency is really good for the company.
2617  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can we get Crypto Signals from ? on: May 05, 2021, 06:21:01 AM
Just search up on telegram you gonna find like thousands of them but most of them are just some bullshit that praise themselves when they're right and silent when they're wrong not to mention following crypto signal blindly is not encouraged since it's basically like gambling giving up your financial decision to some stranger over internet whose interest is to make money as well whether from the trade and from you.
2618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At $7.5 Dogecoin will be more valuable than BTC on: May 05, 2021, 04:26:31 AM
Dogecoin is pumping insanely that's true, but don't you think that's impossible you can see the amount of time it needed to grow up to the level it is now, honestly dogecoin reaching 3 is highly impossible in the coming weeks as you said, who would buy a meme coin for $3 or $7.5, funny enough it's still below $1 right now, I know it could reach that price with the way it pumped hard today, but we wont see dogecoin at $3 forever.
a meme coin having that huge market capital just seems kinda ridiculous, even though if doge stays at current price and just wait for a decade its market gonna grow as big as bitcoin just because the doge mined everyday if btc price also stays the same.
But yeah, doge reaching that price within few coming weeks seems like a wishful thinking, not even elon with his shill could do that much to doge, just don't put too much expectation in doge honestly since this coin was meant to be a meme and now becomes a pump and dump scheme.
2619  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You could die from trading. on: May 02, 2021, 09:39:01 AM
Yeah trading is more mentally exhausting as many ever imagined. Just imagining having an asset that's really volatile could keep you up for the whole night but there's reason why exchanges offers a way to make buy limit, sell limit, etc or even there's reason why trading bot was created and it's mainly to give more leeway and relaxation to the traders, what you need is just to set up your strategy you don't need to stay awake the entire night though if the coins that you were invested in turns out flopping so hard the next morning and you don't set anything to prevent your asset from draining it could be really stressful indeed.
I personally prefer to invest long term, just put the money in some project or coin and then forget about it until next few years. One thing for sure though, if you don't want to get stressed out from trading avoid pump and dump shitcoins from telegram crypto groups.
2620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH versus BNB updated poll 2021 on: May 02, 2021, 08:38:52 AM
It's more of different kind of customers in crypto market (those who understands what blockchain really is and those who just coming here to get profit) will have different preference. AFAIK people who just want to make profit and quit are those who don't care whether a coin is centralized or not, whether the blockchain is centralized or decentralized because such thing only essential to think about when we're talking about long term investment. I personally prefer ethereum because their blockchain is decentralized and the running validators aren't controlled by one entity.
But if anyone only come to crypto market for the sole purpose of trading that's not really necessary to think about I guess, therefore they gonna view a coin from the partnership or connection, like BSC was originally created by binance a popular exchange.
