2601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 11, 2020, 03:32:26 PM
I don't think India will be able to win a Test or a match. My prediction is that Australia will win 2 test matches and the other two is drawn. Rohit Sharma will not play.
You never know how India will be performing, they have the players to defeat Australia and they have one of the best opening bowlers in their side but it depends upon how prepared India is to face the Australian challenge and the pitch they are going to create for the series.

Rohit Sharma will be leaving to Australia on December 14 and he might play a match depending on the circumstances.

The Indian team will play with a bunch of young players. I think India must have experienced players to win against Australia. Players must have experience playing on the Australian pitch. Because Australian pitches are completely different from Asian pitches.
After watching the ODI do you think that the Australian pitch will help the bowlers, over a decade back it was true that they had one of the fastest pitches but now they also started favoring the batsman by creating batsman friendly wicket.

I mean, players have to be properly groomed and then included in the national team. Players should be placed in India-A to get acquainted with the environment and pitch of all countries. There is no shortage of talented players in India. So India should make a player more experienced by giving them a chance to play in the India-A team before taking them to the national team.
Historically if the BCCI identifies a talent they groom them and then the rest depends upon the individual to perform. Sachin was selected in the team at 16 and many raised their eyebrows as they were touring Pakistan facing deadly bowlers that could hamper his confidence but we all know the level of caliber he could attain and so does Kambli and everyone expected him to perform equally but he spoiled his career.

As you mentioned there is no shortage of talented players and you need to perform whenever you get the opportunity at any level of cricket and if you prove your worth then the BCCI might consider in giving you special treatment and the biggest example is Rohit Sharma who never performed to his potential close to a decade and now we know his place in the team in the shorter format.

Months ago, in 2018 or 2019, one forum member asked that will his posts be deleted or he get banned if he makes posts in French local board just as to practice his French-learning process. He was learning French, I meant. I remembered Halab said it is fine if his posts are understandable somewhat.

I can not find that topic but hope if Halab see this post, he can help to spot it.

If you want the quotes, here is the quote from theymos regarding posting in local section and how rules are enforced.

The local sections are primarily divisions based on language. The moderators of each local section are allowed to set different standards for how fluent your posts have to be, but you should never be excluded based on residency/ethnicity/nationality.

Here is the quote from Halab regarding how he will be enforcing things in his local board.

Yes, red tags were generously given in the french section for very bad translations of ANNs when there was no moderator. Now it's easier, I delete Smiley.

You can come and discuss or ask questions in the french section, it's not a big problem if you use Google Translate. But, if you come to make your posts for your signature campaign, it's going to be more complicated.
2604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 09, 2020, 08:46:24 PM
You are right. India team management should learn from Australia. Whenever a player plays well in IPL, the Indian board gives him a chance to play international series. And as usual due to lack of experience that player can not play as well as expected. We have seen Rabin Uthappa and Manish Panday before. They did great performances in IPL. But they could not play well in international matches. Now they are out of the Indian squad.
The players should adopt to the playing condition and any player that is capable of doing that will be successful in the international level, Robin Uthappa made his ODI and T20 debut in India and he played a really good innings in his debut match and Manish Panday made his debut in the tour to Zimbabwe and they did not adopt to different playing condition and hence they failed.

This is against the rule

There is no way someone understands Bengali, Korean, Mandarin and Ukrainian. Many people knows multiple languages and they are usually from the same lineage of languages. But Bengali, Korean and Ukrainian belong to different lineage altogether.

Edit:

~
Apparently, you can be knowledgeable of different families of language. One is called an Unfocused Polyglot, which simply means knowing languages from various unconnected countries.
Sure, my mother tongue belongs to Dravidian family of languages and in that i am fluent in Malayalam and Tamil (is known as the oldest language in the world) and i understand Telugu and in Indo Aryan families of language i am fluent in Hindi and i understand Punjabi and Gujarati and bits and peaces of other languages as well and it is a common theme in my country as everyone speaks multiple languages.

What i tried to say earlier is that, no one can be fluent in Bengali, Korean, Mandarin and Ukrainian until you take an effort to learn those languages which is highly unlikely because you learn a language if you think it will be useful to your career and i learned multiple languages by spending my life in different parts of the world and communicating with people from different regions and it took decades.

Shreyas and Samson need impressive IPL season next year 2021. If they want to get in the T-20 WC squad, otherwise there is no chance for them. Surya Kumar Yadav might be good contender if he clicks in IPL one more time.
Both Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson have the talents but failed to deliver when given the opportunity but they just need one good innings to change their fortunes and hopefully they will do so in the next tournament.

The Australian spinners really bowled well, which is surprising considering the fact that Indian batsmen are being regarded as good players of spin bowling. Both Zampa and Swepson handled the pressure well.
When you have a huge target to chase the spinners will be always a challenge especially Zampa and Swepson who could bowl with different grips and they are T20 specialist.
2607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 07, 2020, 09:18:08 PM
So Floyd is starting to follow the lead of Mike Tyson, does it mean that Floyd is also experiencing some financial issues the same to what happen to Mike and he will be doing this exhibition to earn some money.
The problems of Mike Tyson is well documented but Floyd Mayweather is a smart man when it comes to investment even though he flaunts his wealth just as a gimmick he created and he will grab the opportunity to make huge amount of money with little effort and that is how he operates after his boxing career as a champion and the Logan Paul fight is another opportunity to fight him in an exhibition bout and make a large amount of money.

2608  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3rd times the charm 20K on: December 06, 2020, 09:03:03 PM
I think bears, skeptics, and longer term bulls alike were blindsided by how fast this push to $20K happened. The combination of scared bears and confident bulls makes me feel like a brutal shakeout is still very possible from here, in which case the push above $20K would be postponed until Q1 next year.
If that is the real scenario then it would be cool as many were planning to invest but the pandemic forced to change the plans and if there is a major shakeout then everyone who missed out earlier would be able to invest. I am also expecting a good correction before we see the price reaching new levels but whenever there is a correction there are huge investment coming in and hence not sure how the market will perform by the end of this year.

Yes they do.  They suspend and fine fighters and over turn their wins to no contests.  They did it to Nick Diaz.
The USADA has relaxed the rules, after the second Conor McGregor fight Nate Diaz smoked CBD (Cannabidiol) right after the fight and he was vaping during the post fight interview and he did not get a suspension and there was a controversy after that because his brother Nick Diaz was suspended for 5 years prior for smoking Weed and then they decided they will allow fighters to use CBD after the competition. Now the rules are more relaxed than before and you can use Marijuana but not on the day of the fight but outside competition they will not suspend the fighters.
2610  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Peter helping bitcoin pump? on: December 06, 2020, 04:13:36 PM
I mean he just tweets about bitcoin so often. He may be thinking that he is guiding his followers out of bitcoin but what he could be doing is making them more curious that they will eventually buy like his son did. Bad publicity is still publicity eh?
The parody of his tweets is that he is always tweeting about BTCitcoin even though it is negative and in the tweet you posted he is complaining about CNBC giving excessive coverage about BTCitcoin  Cheesy.  The only thing you can see is that when there is a major correction in BTCitcoin people like Peter Schiff will shit over the market and will say i said so it is just a tulip pump Grin

I liked some of his old predictions about the economic collapse and it had substance and there might be some truth about BTCitcoin and its valuation as you cannot expect the price to always go higher and you need a major correction once in a while and that is how the market sustains.
2611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 06, 2020, 12:21:47 PM
Incredible win by India. Hardik Pandya once again made the difference, after a good knock by Shikhar Dhawan. The Australian pacers looked clueless, especially Daniel Sams and Andrew Tye. The spinners were impressive (both Swepson and Zampa), but the pacers couldn't support them. The only disappointment for India would be the repeated failure from Sanju Samson.
India is winning after the inclusion of Sanju Samson  Wink Cheesy. I did not expect India winning this win and i had a small nap after the first innings and was surprised to see that India winning the match with a couple of balls left.
My disappointment was Virat Kohli and his butter hands, every match he is dropping catches and from the IPL till now he dropped around 20 catches and even today i saw him dropping 2 catches.

The man of the match award should have being Natarajan as he bowled really well in a pitch all the bowlers were taken apart.
2612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Four Years of Living on Bitcoin Alone. Can You Beat That? Is that even possible? on: December 06, 2020, 08:51:05 AM
I already read this story few times ago the lucky family who decided to buy bitcoin with all their assets and continue traveling the world without permanent home and using only bitcoin for expenses I dont know if this is really possible to just use btc now with no fiats at all I search it in YT and you can see their adventure on their YT channel
I am not sure whether you can call them lucky, they took the risk selling everything they had and invest in BTCitcoin and everyone had the opportunity to do that if they really trusted and wanted to take a risk  Grin. I will not take that kind of risk and then travel the world living in tents but one thing that the risk made them is popularity as many news publication published their journey.
2613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking on ETH 2.0 on: December 06, 2020, 05:48:45 AM
With the recent launch of Ethereum 2.0, people are now rushing to the launchpad for staking

But is it worth it?

The rewards are looking very appealing but the stake is going to stay illiquid for a long time. Will a third party staking provider help in mitigating some risk?
If you have 32 ETH you can stake your coins, if not find people whom you can trust and accumulate the coins which i think many are doing as i have seen certain groups staking the coins from multiple investors, it has its risk and sure the coins will be stuck.

The annual reward for staking is 15.72% with 180 days lock up period which means monthly you might get around 0.4 ETH
2614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 05, 2020, 05:43:22 PM
^  NSAC, USADA or whoever should take weed off the list of prohibited substances.  I mean seriously, wtf?  And Dana made it look like Yair Rodriguez was in serious Mexican cartel trouble at last week's post fight press conference.  Lol.
In the UFC the USADA will not prosecute if you have taken weed and they have taken that action when Nate Diaz started vaping right after his fight against Conor McGregor and it was a controversy during that time but then Jeff Novitzky AKA the Golden Snitch came out with the decision and there is a limit to the amount you can have during fight time.

According to multiple sources Yoel Romero just released from UFC contract after seven years, probably because of missing his drug tests like I wrote before or something even worse! Maybe we are going to see him on some other promotion like Bellator.
Yoel Romero left the UFC and if he can join any other promotion i am sure he will become their champion even at 43 years and it is a good move by his management.

Tell me which organization work for the entertainment of the spectators ? Even big organizations like FIFA looks to make money so why not ICC should focus on money too. These are not social welfare organizations and therefore the main focus for them is to earn money.
If the focus is to make money then you should provide entertaining content, if not you will not get the revenue you are looking for and it is a fact. The team that every cricket playing nation wants to face is India as they can attract advertisement and the policy of the ICC is to have a rotation based system so that everyone will have a fair share of the revenue.

2616  Other / Meta / Re: Spam attack. Please nuke them. on: December 05, 2020, 02:56:28 PM
Some of the bots actually masks the spam by copying other posts and inserting their spam in the middle, will be harder to counter in that case.
The spammers are mixing things and sometimes they edit the links entirely after sometime and copying other users post so that the account remains idle for a while and then start the attack again.

Few of the users i reported today completely edited the spam links and included generic content, hopefully the mods nuke those accounts as well.
2617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government don't accept Bitcoin. on: December 05, 2020, 12:29:25 PM
Our country government don't accept bitcoin. If anyone use bitcoin and know it state police Caught him and give punishment. But i like bitcoin. How can i use it? And I want to explain that bitcoin is not bad for me. How can i successfully explain?
Which country you are residing, even if your country banned the use of cryptocurrencies how are they able to identify the transactions and how can they be able to track them back to you, it is impossible to track if you are dealing with exchanges far from your jurisdiction and they will not reveal your identify until you are involved in something illegal and hence Until you do something illegal there is no way you will be caught if you are dealing with P2P exchanges and what all exchanges you can use safely depends on the country you are residing.

2619  Economy / Speculation / Re: Give me your predictions for the next long term peak, and why. on: December 05, 2020, 05:11:12 AM
Wanna see people's predictions for Bitcoin's next peak, presumably around a year from now or sometime in 2022 - whenever this market cycle comes to a close. And give your reasoning behind your prediction, and not just "cuz I think so".

My likely prediction is $90k to $120k. I think $100k is the big target for this market cycle, and either it'll fail to break through and top out in the $90,000s or it'll break $100k and then in a rush of euphoria over the next few days/weeks it could shoot up to $120k or so in a blow off top.

Now I also have a high prediction based off the last two peaks. The 2013 peak was about 36x above the 2011 peak, and the 2017 peak was just under half that at over 17x compared to the 2013 peak. If we keep this peak multiplier halving going for this cycle then the next peak should be around 8.5x the previous peak, or around $170k, so that is my super high prediction based on past two cycles relative to one another.
There is a major difference when you compare the peak valuation of BTCitcoin and that too during the initial stages you can expect the market would rise substantially higher and you cannot expect the same level of growth the price has reached around a certain valuation and we are around 10 years in the market and the price has matured and you cannot expect the same level of peak during this cycle.

My expected price valuation during the big rally should be around $30k to $45k considering how the market is performing right now where it is touching its all time high valuation and trying to break the resistance and we could see the all time high valuation by next year.

Justin Langer and Finch looked pissed when Chahal came as a concussion replacement for Jadeja.  Grin Well it turned out Chahal did turn thing for India today. We are going to see some concussion substitute debate in the cricketing world.

Now Jadeja should get man of the match award and Chahal should receive the award as replacement. Wink

Edit : Lol i guess its first time in the cricket history, where replacement player winning the MOM.
The substitution made wonders and it is a good option if a player is injured. It was a surprise that India won the match as i did not expect that. Jadeja played an incredible innings but he was struggling taking singles as he was injured but he made scoring boundaries look ease and the bowlers did the rest to give India the victory.
