Hi guys! I am new to this forum and overwhelmed with the information on here. I wanted to know what you guys would advise me to look into to get me started.
The real drive behind this is to be able to use the bitcoin for gambling purposes. I feel much safer and better when i gamble with bitcoin as oppose to money. I also feel much more secure. Despite it being difficult to really gage the value when gambling I still prefer to buy bitcoin and use it to deposit.
I have looked into may different websites that claim to use your pc to gather bitcoin, in return for a small %. I am not sure but this doesnt seem very legit to me. Would it be more worth for me to invest in my own set up?
Without doubt invest in your own setup if you want to mine bitcoin, some websites offer that option but you'll rarely collect even 1 satoshi because of increase mining difficulty. Since for bitcoin mining you need antminers that cost a lot, instead you can mine altcoins with GPU or asic miners (are available for some altcoins but I prefer GPU because it's unique) and gamble with them or exchange into bitcoins if you wish. This way for example if you were gambling with 100$ a month, you'll be able to gamble with 120$ and pay 100$ (mining reward and electricity bills). I wrote that as an example, your mining profitability hugely depends on your electricity rates. |

Wow, pretty impressive, I liked the game very much and seems playing it online is more fun than playing it in real life, at least your website proved like that for me. Can you spoil us what will be the next game? I suggest you to add games like soccer where 1 player kicks the ball and 2nd one catches, then they swipe the roles, I guess you understand what I meant. Also change website's template to attract more people, game's UI is nice, just design needs to be improved. Do you plan to add affiliate on your website?

Depends on which company has event, personally I was on Bitfury's event (got invited) and it was all good, this company works actively in developing and integrating of blockchain technologies and have contract with government of Georgia. They implemented land title registry and etc. Well it's not our subject right now.
Personally I would avoid more than 90% of blochain/crypto events because all they are looking for is money and not actual share of knowledge, presentation of innovations and etc. When ticket costs a lot and actually you get nothing from it, then why to go? Go only on good events, you'll find interesting people.

Skyscrapers are even built in 1-2 years and I have no idea what's so frustrating with developing of new forum software. The last time I saw beta (it's closed as for now), new forum will be pretty great with modern dark design but as for now we have to stick with this old one. To be fair I like old things and this forum's design is pretty good and it does all that we need except some features that can easily be implemented (for example tagging of someone and receiving notification on that). Famous forums still stick with old design, for example blackhatworld.
If I were theymos, I would possibly add some new styles but would leave ads space on current position to avoid any disappointment from advertisers.

Confidence comes from knowledge and expectation of success because of your knowledge. Confidence is the vehicle practical application. If you fail in actual trading, I have no idea how you can be excessively confident, maybe you can still remain just confident and think that you'll learn from these faults and it's just a combination of steps that you need in order to succeed, after a lot of success, then excessive confidence really comes. If you experience so huge confidence without actual experience in cryptocurrency trading, then I think there is something wrong or you may just naturally have a lot of dopamine.

Fiat money can't be my money because it's not my property and for example let's talk about USD which is major currency in global economics. and that's Fed. You know it's a very non-transparent institution, they control money as they wish, they print as much as they wish, they modify USD's purchasing power as they wish. They create debt, a loan that we have to pay. Why do I have to pay a loan that's not mine? Is it right and fair what they do?
To sum up, we have no control and no right on USD = it's not our.
So that's why I choose cryptocurrency, I can mine it, I can independently own it, I can protect my privacy with it and more, satoshi is hero for releasing this idea.
I think it will be good for everyone to read some articles about connection between USD and FED, who owns FED and etc.

Pretty good business but is there high demand on such services in UK if we consider the fact that Samsung, Apple and others have decent authorized service centers, are your prices low compared to them? Also do you have original supply? I mean do you guarantee that parts of smartphones will be original ones and not just random Chinese product?
It will be interesting to know how much number of people will pay in bitcoins on your website. Also don't you plan to offer discount on bitcoin/altcoin payments for your clients?

For offline wallet, use Trezor and if you use online wallets, then just don't remember password on any website, especially on email, be always log off from your email/wallet accounts and this way you'll feel more secure I guess. |

The most curious thing that I found there is that John McAfee is the founder of antivirus company McAfee LLC and at the same time this person is actively in bitcoin with his silly statements and false promises (everyone knows one of them).
I can't check right now but did McAfee determined that as a virus? If yes, then I'm more curious to see response from them on your email regarding to false positive.

Bitcoin price may get higher but as a humanity we should pray that war should not happen. Even though Iran people sell bitcoin not all people will sell. Only few will sell the Bitcoin.
Let bitcoin grow but not world War lll shouldn't happen. Economy will be worst.
I really do not want to see a full blown war and the end result is human killing other human to show their power and we are living in a modern society and these politicians cannot understand the basic needs for everyone to have a peaceful life is pathetic, i condone the US attack and now Iran retaliated against our troops, these governments does order to carry out these actions and poor families will be loosing their loved ones and when these fight will end is a mystery. I am not sure about the legitimacy of the price in Iran. War is a great way of making money for government. Just imagine, who wants war? I hugely doubt random American citizen wants to fight against person who lives in Iran, why should he care about him? He just wants to live on his own and be with family or etc, no one wants war and when there is one, that's because some persons want it and we are becoming their dolls and are used like voodoo. It would be great if people didn't follow every rules like robots but that doesn't happen, of course it has it's pros and cons but... And people, bitcoin isn't sold at 24K USD in Iran, they just have two exchange rate, 1 - bank's rate and 2nd - rate used among people. Bank's rate is 4x higher and that's reason why it was said on article that bitcoin worths 24K USD in Iran, publisher edited that. |

OP always double check which website you are using, also never click on google ads regarding to mixer (it's blocked but in case such ads appears consider my advice). Also always check reviews of mixers on this forum, check scam accusation threads that are opened against them (if any) and see what was the problem, whose fault it was and how it was solved. Personally I can suggest you chipmixer and [banned mixer] both of them are old and trustworthy but for higher anonymity I would choose chipmixer. I was originally just planning on talking about how whatever your strategy is, no matter how much you plan there is still a weak link - and it's the player. I got on this thought as I was playing the other day, and got into that mind set of my bets and bluffs just couldn't miss. Had a pretty good run on taking blinds and chipping up after a good hand where I was just behind. Then I went loose on my range and just pushed a pure bluff, pre-flop and got caught. Had to fold the hand as they had me covered and jammed, this left me nearly crippled and I just couldn't recover.
It was in doing a bit of hand analysis - this one didn't take long - that I thought about sharing poker stories here. I've been playing a lot lately, mostly tournaments. So I figured I would gauge interest in sharing some more interesting hands, like key double ups, or beats both bad and deserved. Finally the hands that get me eliminated, often these won't be anything of interest as they will be an all-in from short stack, but I've had some beauties over the years that I didn't see coming.
It would depend on the week but I generally play 3 or 4 nights a week depending on my work schedule, and would maybe make a post or 2. I know it's not the general gambling discussion that goes on, but figured there's gotta be a few people who may take an interest.
I would also totally welcome others to post their tales. By the way I'm not pro, I play micro-low stakes, and just really enjoy playing (ignore those 20 seconds after some hands) and trying to improve.
Because of just one caught on bluff doesn't mean it has ruined your plan or gaming quality. It's better to sit on regular tables (not on fast forward or turbo) and play with players that have decent money cause more likely they'll play on long term (personally I think so from my experience). During bluff, the best thing to do is to manage when to show your cards (muck) and by this way decide what to show them: You had good cards and lost, you had bad cards but still follow the game (bluff). But of course bluff is useless against good cards, gambling of poker in real life is a whole better experience cause it's easier to understand other's emotions, despite the fact that they may fake it, if you are great at it, you'll see fake emotions and use it for you. |

I have no idea why people put word blockchain in everything, it looks like blockchain is a magic word that's used instead of Abracadabra, I wouldn't even be surprised if magicians say Blockchain while doing tricks. I think that increase mostly comes from former Soviet Republics because in these countries, a lot of people don't had access on PC and internet, there was DSL in most of these countries for a long time and we can say that fiber is new for them.
Also in some countries internet is expensive but at the same time there is a huge bandwidth usage because of pirate websites (multiple upload of different movies, games and etc for each website).

In 2016 the halving was early July. Depending on the exchange, the price was as follows:
May 1, 2016 $453
June 1, 2016 $536
July 1, 2016 just before the halving $677
The price increased about 50% from May 1 to July 1 just before the halving event.
Should we expect something similar this time?
I would say that according to statistics, bitcoin's price was stable before halving and even after that for a while. Actual rise started in November, after 3-4 months from halving it went from 600$ to 700$ and then went up and up, we had amazing rise, this process for me was like a rush of dopamine. Price rise didn't start in May because you have to consider that a lot of things happened at that time, for example hashocean had scam exit and believe me a lot of people had invested there, because of this scam everyone thought that they would sell their coins in a hurry and price would decrease. There were still a lot of moments to remember from previous halving. Personally I would say that we will see clear picture after some months from halving, not right now or not right the day after halving. |

Personally I can say that in Development & Technical Discussion section achow101 has never left me without full answer, I appreciate that.
I have also seen one newbie who was receiving merits like rain because of his very, very high quality posts, he gained attention in the beginning when merit was implemented, can't remember that user. So what I want to say is that idea is still ok but it won't push newbies to try to rank up. Shit poster = shit poster, no matter what. You can't make child intelligent by giving chocolate if he/she gets good marks cause he/she prefers to put less afford and be left without reward.

Bitcoin is silently pushing up for the past few days, what could be the reason, could it be because of the halving coming up later or that the bulls are back in town.
It's very, very hard to say exact reason because as you see in past we has rise from 7-9k to 13k but finally what we got is fall up to 7k and we are stuck in this price. I didn't know if price went from 7000 to 7800, just got it from your news but personally I don't feel optimistic right now and can't say this is the start of bull run or that's happening because of upcoming halving cause in past, we always had rises after halving, not before that (on last halving price was stable 600$ for a while and it started rise after 1-2 months of halving). Do you mean virtual walk similar of Google' Street view? Or do you mean camera that goes on and on and shows you what happens in 24/7?
That idea is great for educational purposes but I highly doubt you'll find investor, the best thing is to get such thing done via collaboration with government cause usually they are seeking for similar projects and are willing to invest in it.
What you say is unprofitable so hopes of finding investor may be wasted, no profit - no interest in project. When you are looking for investors, you have to make him sure that this is the right project to invest and this project is better than others, this will bring better profit than other one. But in this project you can't make sure investor that it will bring profit because in reality this project is unprofitable and can be released only for educational purposes.

Imagine if Theymos would just reset everyone reputation... All the 'dt fun talk' would be gone along with red and green trust  It is like taking all the toys from kids  That "fun" would be gone but at the same time what about a lot of people who were tagged for scams? Those feedbacks mustn't be removed or it will be chaos again and I would forget trading there (but luckily I remember name of a lot of trustworthy people). Remove all negative trust 2. Remove all positive trust 3. Remove all trust But now imagine this: We removed all trust that means people have to build trust from zero.
