Technically, I didn't know what is the reason that your IP address becomes evil in the forum, it might you are using public Wi-Fi that has someone already registered on the forum.  AFAIK, if someone enlightens me with this, you have only two accounts to create using the same IP address, and beyond that, it will become an evil IP address and need to pay a small amount to able to post here in the forum.

However, if you really want to engage in discussion here in the forum you can pay with that small amount and in return for the knowledge that you could get.  Or else, you will remain as a guest.
2622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deleting crypto wallets with contents? on: January 24, 2021, 11:38:53 PM
What if I delete a crypto wallet that still has a bit of crypto in it? For example, will the Bitcoins left in a wallet I would delete disappear forever, never to return into cirulation? (I actually did this a few times already, except that they were accounts of crypto faucets....)
Yes, you can delete your Bitcoin wallet whatever you want but it will never delete the address that you generated on the blockchain, it will remain there, and also your balance will be traceable on the address that you have generated.

I tend to agree above, this is like burning coins that never access or something you forgot the keys and never access, or when the owner will die and the wallet can't access by anyone.  This is the same scenario.

If you're afraid of being hack or afraid that you are using crypto, you can delete your wallet but if you want to get it back, you can keep the key and password in any place that you can have access, time will come if you need it, you still have access.  Of course, a wallet that has the open-source feature.
2623  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 'BuyUCoin exchange' data breach on: January 24, 2021, 10:59:12 PM
Commonly problem of a most centralized exchanger.

There's nothing to panic about if there's a BuyUcoin user here, you can simply change your password or if they are using emails they must also change this too.  Once it is breached, it easy for hackers to send emails or trying to log in and get the fund, but as an exchange said, users are protected with 2FA verification which is much better to protect their account if there is a transaction that will happen just like transferring of the fund.

Anyway, thanks for sharing here, probably users of this exchange will get alarmed too with this announcement.
2624  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is this recoverable ? on: January 24, 2021, 03:41:55 PM
..now today I done one new thing Electrum is much better then blockchain.com so I am trying o use this now I have one question today I try to send few bucks on my own address for option send to many but its not working as its need to do can you guide me is there any special way or I have can do this easily on Electrum.
It's a good choice of using a wallet, Electrum is the best and free download wallet because that is an open-source wallet that you have full control over the key not like the web wallet that you have mentioned above.

But a little bit curious about what you mean.  Why you choose the option Pay to many, of course, it will not work because you have only one recipient address.  Unless if you input too many addresses for a different amount that you have sent but at the same time transaction.  Just choose to option "send" and input your recipient address, the Pay to many options isn't necessary if you intend to have to transfer your fund to one address.

Isnt $1 per hour too low for a teaching job?Huh That doesnt just requires patient, it includes knowledge and skills. $1 for me is too low
It's an online teaching job and as I heard, some of your clients give a little amount of tip.  Yes, that is a small amount maybe if you're not in the third world, but if you are here in my country, that's a big help and you can buy 1 kilo of rice with that amount.  But ain't have a talent for teaching stuff, ain't fluent to speak in English but for those who have that passion for that will probably worth it for them to have an extra income(not your source of income).

@uneng, I think OP it's good if you will lock your thread if you're satisfied with the answers of the earlier post.
2626  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: -what are the best Bitcoin wallets? on: January 24, 2021, 02:27:33 PM
So far you are safe with Binance because they are one of the largest crypto exchanges and the most reputable one, so probably you're safe for a while.  They also promised their user to have a SAFU service.  But it doesn't mean that you are safe forever and I don't think it is good to hold Bitcoin on an exchange where you didn't hold the private key.

This has been always reminded on the forum, "Not your keys, Not your Coin".  Better to choose an open-source wallet that supported not only Bitcoin but also altcoin in one wallet.

Heads to this [BIG LIST] Hardware wallets (80+) and do research on your own, and if you wanted to use the Custodial vs. Non Custodial Wallets - "Not your keys, not your coin" Explained you might also know the pros and cons, its better safe than to say sorry.
2627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How about a currency with expiry date...? on: January 23, 2021, 11:57:19 PM
If there is validity or expiry for every currency same as day to day life needs, then people will make use of it and exchange to new currencies at the right time. This way everything can be made to be in circulation rather than getting accumulated for years. Here black money can also be avoided.
How can everything be in circulation? You just change old paper with new paper, that's all, it has nothing to do with the circulation. If we think about something like spend your money or it will expire, then it's a terrible idea because with that law, investors won't exist (you have to collect money before investing in something).
I tend to agree, just might replacing the physical money with a new one or phasing out the old design and must put a new one.  That isn't an expiry date of a currency, because if any currency that has an expiry date will become unacceptable to the community, what if they store old currency and they forget to exchange it with the new one.  It seems the same here in our country, but people still can exchange their old currency directly to the bank with the same amount.

And I think, that isn't a perfect way to combat black money, individually can use the currency without knowing by the bank or any financial institution that declaring the transfer of fund.
2628  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Individual Investors vs Whales/Institutional Investors on: January 23, 2021, 11:38:04 PM
Who holds more bitcoin combined? Individual investors because of their sheer number or whales/II's because of the amount that they own and can buy.
It seems hard to predict since we don't really know who holds a big amount of Bitcoin nowadays.  But based on this article, Top 5 Bitcoin Investors stated that most are institutional companies who invested in Bitcoin, based on the media reports they invested billions of dollars worth of Bitcoin last few years I think when Bitcoin is on bearish in the market.

If your question related to who owns the biggest amount of Bitcoin, I must say, the FBI.
NBI's control and probably held thousands of confiscated Bitcoin on their own wallet.
2629  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I need help with my problem HitBtc on: January 23, 2021, 05:19:35 PM
Damn!  That's too many documents they'd asked but it ends up nothing.  That exchange was really horrible support about KYC and it seems they are very strict about that and you're not alone, there are too many threads here discussing relatively topics of yours, as you can see in the link given above.

I have doubt that you've violated the TOS in terms of third party service since you mentioned you are using Paypal.
Are you sure you already read this?  https://hitbtc.com/terms-of-use

I recommend not to use this exchange by next time, instead, choose a proper crypto wallet for your coin.  Crypto exchanges aren't good to put big money especially if you aren't having trading activity, or it might your account was wake up for a long period of inactivity and suddenly have a large transaction.
2630  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Practices for sending to exchange on: January 23, 2021, 05:00:16 PM
Thanks for all of your thoughts. To those bemoaning my paranoia I say that my paranoia is of the healthy sort. I trust my local process and I trust the exchange I am using, but these processes have risk. I'm not worried about copy/paste issues or exchange fraud. I am worried about program crashes, errors stemming from my own ignorance, and especially things out of one's control after sending, etc. If you read the t's & c's of any exchange they acknowledge this risk and disavow responsibility. Of course the probability is low, but something could happen despite one's best preparation. For anyone working with transactions an individual feels is "high value" some paranoia is warranted IMHO.

I understand your sentiment and you're not alone here, I feel the same as yours when every time I have a transaction from exchange to my main Bitcoin wallet, I'm always careful and it should always have have double or even triple check on the Bitcoin address destination.  So far, I didn't have any problem because I carefully doing this to ensure my funds are safe and not to have errors which we know that the crypto transactions are irreversible or we can't undo what we have done.

Good to see people like you asking even this basic question rather than those people asking for help because they'd stuck their transaction due to ignorance.  IMO, knowledge has a great advantage to avoid possible errors and mistakes that can't revoke.
2631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to buy and to store bitcoin on: January 23, 2021, 04:11:47 PM

If you don't want to buy on any exchange websites, you can buy them directly from the seller, I'm not sure, but there might be some peeps here in our forum who are doing bitcoin trades. You can also buy them on your local bitcoin ATMs, or if you know anyone who sells bitcoin, why ask them directly and try to start the trade.
Store them on a hardware wallet, 1 bitcoin is a large money in equivalence.

I feel it's best for OP to buy elsewhere or at least from a high liquidity exchange before purchasing from here (if he ever does). It's gonna involve lots of filtering and middleman unless someone's willing enough to actually deal patiently.
Person to person online should use a third party or a trusted middleman.  This means to ensure for both parties are safe on their fund held by the middleman but make sure it is trusted enough.  Alternatively, I tend to agree to use a most trusted exchange platform, if you can't buy directly to the exchange, they had also a P2P transaction and the platform itself act as a middleman, AFAIK, that was a Binance platform.

Regarding storing your Bitcoin, this is very techy, you should understand first before decide to hold Bitcoin.
Always use an open-source wallet or even a hardware wallet, remember this common line always.  "Not your keys, Not your Bitcoin".

2632  Other / Meta / Re: How about locking some ANN threads that are from proven scammers? on: January 23, 2021, 03:40:21 PM
IMO, it's a good proposal but I think this censorship will take too long for the MODs to investigate before they will take an action and lock the thread, it's better to report to them and delete the shills or shilling posts that we suspected so that they will never continue doing bumping their thread.

DT negative feedbacks and warning flags were introduced to this forum to combat the fraud activities that showed on the profile's scammer and even guest can see a warning on the thread and it's clear to avoid before they will dive in into such a project.  IMO, that's enough for now.

There's can be instances if MOD's can moderate scam will become biased by judgment.
2633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why kids born in 2140 don`t get a chance to mine rewards? on: January 23, 2021, 02:57:15 PM
I dont think to guess that far away, it can be tricky to answer since we don't know any of those developments that can be made in Bitcoin protocol, but on the other hand, you're right.  Estimated that the Bitcoin last can be mined by October 8, 2140 (just an approximately guessing).  As I can say, it will remain unpredictable and no one knows what will happens ahead.

Some people believe about Bitcoin stabilization near in the future, still, use as a currency.  Just like similar functions to fiat that regularly use by people and miners could earn in all transactions be made.  But at this point, I'm afraid that the decentralization of Bitcoin will become centralized since as of now we have big institutions that adopted Bitcoin altogether with (whales) big players in the market.

It can also increase the price forever that makes inflation towards dollars, sounds like following the global mankind GDP increase.

2634  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If i send someone btc, can they see what kind of wallet i use? on: January 22, 2021, 09:26:35 AM
All posts above are true.  So far, there's no way to determine what wallet software use and you can't determine only by the Bitcoin address used.  Though, not all Bitcoin wallets support different types of Bitcoin addresses format.

Determining what wallet format it is through the address starts with a bc1, 1, and 3, AFAIK.
Not all types of addresses are compatible with each other on all wallet platforms, there are instances a wallet platform didn't support bc1 addresses.

Determining all types of address are:
  • Compatibility Address Format --> this address start with 3 or known P2SH.
  • Segwit Address Format  --> this address start with bc1 or known Bench32
  • Legacy Address Format  --> this address start with 1 or known P2PKH
2635  Economy / Exchanges / Re: No Identification to verify my account please help. on: January 19, 2021, 11:57:15 PM
Or look to someone here on the forum who lives in the same country and accept bank payment try this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0
If OP will choose this forum for the P2P exchange don't forget to always use escrow service, since MOD's here aren't able to moderate scam.

There are too many alternative ways, you can also use the Bitcoin ATM machine if you want to sell your Bitcoin directly to your bank account, you can locate it here https://coinatmradar.com/.  However, if you dont like ATM machines there are decentralized exchanges that don't require KYC like, Hodl Hodl and Bisq.  Just do simple research and you will find out how to have a proper procedure.
2636  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Got Hacked From My Wallet on: January 19, 2021, 11:31:20 PM
I will try again using a computer.  So far I have been using my iPad trying to reach them.  From what I heard on this thread, it seems like they don't respond even if one is able to submit the question. I will keep you guys posted.
Yes, this web wallet has horrible support, they will barely respond or will never respond to their customers ' concerned.  Just try and try re-submitting your ticket, it might you get lucky and they will soon reply.  There are a ton of complaints against them and almost the same problem, I don't think they are worth it to store your Bitcoin.

If they won't respond, there's nothing you can do is to accept the fact and move on, but next time, never use that wallet.  Instead of using a web wallet, just use an open-source wallet that you hold a private key like Electrum.
2637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dont stay in crypto too long on: January 19, 2021, 11:01:53 PM
Ok what if one day SEC will ban all bitcoin ?

They can ban exchamgers like binance to deal with btc
They can ban all the mining activity.
The kyc they force on people are all ready bad

Its dictorship faschist nazi control now !!

I think China was already doing this but nothing happens, you can't completely stop people from using Bitcoin, they can hide and becomes anonymous and protect their privacy.  SEC has nothing to do with it, even IF they will ban Bitcoin but there is still an alternative way to hold and own Bitcoin.

SEC in the US and SEC Chairman Jay Clayton explained how they regulate Bitcoin.

2638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I accidently factory reset a Galaxy S9+ with 0.5 BTC on it. Can it be recovered? on: January 19, 2021, 02:50:48 PM
If you don't have any backup files in your wallet, there's nothing we can do is to find a Samsung mobile phone with third-party recovery software. (at least those are trusted ones but I don't know who it is).

Those third party services are offered to recover deleted text messages, videos, audios, contacts, documents, files that came from your internal storage.  And there are features that you can transfer files to your PC upon recovering those lost files that contain your wallet information.

But it should be this is your last option of recovering lost files.
2639  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you combat your weaknesses in trading? on: January 19, 2021, 02:29:14 PM
Op has given 14 basic options that traders must know and to avoid these emotions and I think, if you have these weaknesses at least 4 of them, you're not truly traders.  Since start when you are planning to become a crypto trader, you should have a game plan and all of these were a part of it.  Trading isn't an easy task or job, it required skills, knowledge, and most importantly strategies.  So if you have weaknesses, you aren't ready for trading.

The most important to note is not to be too excessive and overwhelmed by the trade, not every trade will bring profit and as a trader it is better to understand it and know when to call it quit especially when you are having a bad day, nobody is perfect, trade with what you can afford to lose and have a positive mindset even though it will not always be a smooth ride.
I tend to agree with this, there are no perfect traders out there.  Even them were possibly encountered losses, even though they are trying to avoid their previous mistakes but it will keep repeating due to some reasons.
2640  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: hold btc for 2 years with Electrum on: January 19, 2021, 01:41:38 PM
i dont like to use  Bitaddress.org and cold wallet[/i]
I suggest not choose this as your cold wallet because it is very tricky to use and might have an error if you are a newbie and might vulnerable to hacks.
If you created your paper wallet properly you might safe but if this your first time, try to send small amount if that is work.  Alternatively, hardware wallet is also good but you need to purchase and spend a few bucks for this.

i want to hold btc for 2 years or 3 years !
i want to use Electrum Wallet
Yes, it considered as good.  As people say above, it been years too I'm using Electrum wallet, so far so good and I don't have encounter any problem, as long as you downloaded correctly and properly created your wallet, you're safe.  As much as possible keep your private key in a safe place.
