There are 3 options:
They are completely incompetent to run a sportsbook
It's a scam
they don't have BTC to payout anybody
Either way, do not use this sportsbook! I will edit this post if found untrue. With newer books it's sometimes best to get out a claim without a thorough check. With an established book, the claims are checked prior to an accusation or warning. Another reason for posting this today is that the NFL conference championships are today and they are giving away a 20% bonus with a 2x rollover. DirectBet - Here is a recent problem. I realize that the problem is with Dark Coin wallet but this doesn't help the player. I too have experienced this sort of thing ..

DB seems to offer better odds a lot of times. But overall which sites are better for odds ?
Nitrogen is one of the best books as far as margins are concerned. DirectBet is one of the worst. Nitrogen, Betcoinsports, Casinobitcoin and Cloudbet are all reduced juice shops. Ive been using Directbet for quite a while now n havent faced any problems yet. Could you tell me y is it one of the worst? I have used Nitrogen before..!! they take ages to grade games. Quite a lot of the time I see on chat users asking mods to "please grade xyz game". But I like Nitro too other than that. I generally have seen better odds for favs in directbet than nitro. the only complaint I have on Directbet is that they hardly worked on their look. It looks like some amateur made that site. Why don't give it a try on BetBTC? Our events are automatically settled (graded) when event finishes. The only inconvenience at the moment is that as we are a new site, we still don't have many liquidity. However as we work as a Bet Exchange you can ask the odds you want (price) and your unmatched bet will eventually be taken by another user, turning it to a matched bet at a good price for you (like on betfair)! We would like to get some feedback about betbtc on this topic If anyone is playing at BetBTC, please post experiences to help with an initial rating. |

Posters here at Bitcointalk are tech savy. They understand bitcoins and alt coins and like being able to bet with them. Posters here also like the free small contests. Ignoring the gimmicks and solely evaluating DirectBet as a sportsbook, they come out as one of the worst. There is a Las Vegas sports forum that will soon be posting the rating's guide used here. If a poster there asks me for my personal opinion on DirectBet, the below would be my reasons for not recommending DirectBet. 1. Under no circumstances should a book be able keep a bet open without accepting/rejecting within a few seconds. Some books delay action a few seconds to prevent accepting steam plays. With DirectBet, it's not that unusual for bets to be held for an extended period of time. This alone would keep me from recommending DirectBet to any gambler. 2. The theoretical hold (margin) is above industry standards. 3. The live betting is almost non-existent in American markets. "Negotiate" is not putting up a line. 4. The interface is one of the worst, fiat or bitcoin book. |

This was posted a little while back They are tough to rate since some say they are the best and others say the worst. They have more problems and complaints than any other book. It's tough to recommend a book with Directbet's high theoretical hold.
Many guys like getting free bets. Those betting higher shy away from a book that can hold your money without being able to cancel a bet. It has taken longer than 20 minutes for Directbet to accept/reject a bet . Since they are a non-deposit book, you're at the mercy of your wallet, DirectBet's wallet and software problems on the part of Directbet. They have more down time than any other book.
DirectBet was asked not to spam this thread or he would be deleted from the ratings. He continued to do so with the handle "DirectBet and ghost account "Legend" forcing the first thread to be closed at the request of others frustrated with DirectBet clogging the thread.
The only rule for books when posting here is that they only talk about their own book. Books are welcomed to post any information on their own book since most books are professional enough to not abuse this privilege. This is a players thread and we can praise or bash books. Books are disallowed from posting negatively about another book. Allowing book vs. book fight is unwanted. DirectBet refused to abide by this rule continually trying to discredit competitors.
Most posts are deleted concerning DirectBet since he can no longer reply. DirectBet topics are the only topics censored here. Since I'm letting your post stand as well as my reply, in fairness to DirectBet, they can post one reply |

hi i have been using nitrogen for my bets and i like them alot, have also used directbet some and no problem with payouts yet, but didnt see them in your list. are they safe for me to use?
There haven't been any payout problems at DirectBet. Their biggest problem is with their odds (high theoretical hold). After that it would be their downtime. Another problem they have since they are a no deposit book is that bets can be caught up in limbo without being able to cancel a bet. Quite a few bets have been held longer than 10 minutes. |

btcbook takes forever to grade anything. NFL still not graded but he is here posting on the forums. Why does every bitcoin book have to be so unprofessional?
What they are doing is unacceptable with grading and payouts. I hope they make it since the owner seems nice enough and the margins are to our liking. It's best to wait on this book until after the Super Bowl. Sweat the game, not the payout. |
