2621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 04, 2020, 03:59:39 AM
After a disappointing ODI series where Australia completely dominated in the first two matches the T20 starts today, India has a good team who performed really well in the IPL and i would like to see Sanju Samson getting an opportunity and i wished to see him playing the ODI but he did not get the opportunity. Expecting a run fest just like the ODI and i expect the team batting first will have the advantage.
2622  Local / India / Re: WTF! with this board? on: December 03, 2020, 04:40:41 AM
One thing I would like to ask is I have noticed few times that posts reported in this board often goes unhandled.
I had reported few posts earlier but I guess those are still unhandled. This discourages me to report posts. It should either go good or bad.
I can tell from my experience, i have 10 unhandled reports overall and those unhandled reports are from years ago and that too from topics that were created during the initial stages of the forum and other old posts and the rest are taken care. You should not discourage from reporting spam and you should not worry much about good or bad reports as it is not a competition and the reason we are doing is to clean the forum and nothing else.
Doesn't unhandled reports mean mods were not sure what to do with post so they left it as it was?
Yes, if they are unsure with what to do with the report they usually leave them unhandled, which can happen if you report very old threads prior to 2014 and for me 10 of these unhandled reports are from the very early threads in local boards which i thought should be removed to archives rather than cluttering up but the mod thought otherwise   Grin

Mostly those unhandled reports are really old reports and hence i forgot the exact threads but mostly those were threads where i asked them to move to archives and all the old threads which i thought was spams were taken care.
2623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Notorious Coinbase holding my bitcoins in name of 'Review' | Be careful on: December 02, 2020, 06:41:09 PM
The problem is that any ban should mean they will not provide any exchange services to you but should allow you to withdraw or at the very least send coins to an address they came from. That second option would suck for people who used coinbase address to withdraw from other services like online gambling sites but would be at least partially fair.

Stealing client funds is never the right way. I stopped using them a while ago after reading of people who had similar beefs with them.
If an account is banned you will never receive the funds and all of the services hold on to that funds until there is a scam accusation against them which forces them to do what is necessary and logical and we have seen that instance several times and there are situations when we provide all the documents necessary and it will take a long time to get our funds or the accounts unlocked. The only solution is to identify all these sites that have bad policies and avoid them altogether.
2624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 02, 2020, 09:51:53 AM
It was a good entertainment in the end, if not Australia would have reached the total without much struggle Wink. I was expecting India to post a huge total when they won the toss but they failed to do that but to build the score from 5 for 152 runs to reach 302 runs is a huge achievement.
Australia is creating many dramatic scenarios in this match as India is picking wickets at regular interval Tongue.

Australia lost their 5th wicket and if India is able to pick one more wicket then the match is in India's control and i want to see India win the match rather than surrendering the series by white wash.
2625  Other / Meta / Re: [PROPOSAL] Partial reset of airdropped merits on: November 30, 2020, 12:44:45 PM
We already have a decision from theymos regarding this. Inactive users would not be demoted.

Adding UI elements is very "expensive" in the sense that it's something to which every member constantly has to devote some brainspace. So I can't see adding any kind of split merit score or other UI element, since that'd be a permanent high cost as a result of a one-time thing in the past.

I also can't see decaying non-airdropped merit scores.

I could see decaying airdropped merit, though I'm not convinced of it currently. If it was done, it may be best to do something like this:
 - Your current activity score as of <whenever this change would be done> is recorded, which I'll call EPOCH_ACTIVITY.
 - Your merit score is defined as max(0, AIRDROPPED_MERIT-(CURRENT_ACTIVITY-EPOCH_ACTIVITY)/7) + EARNED_MERIT.

So you'd already have had a lot of time to earn merit, and you'd get an additional 7 "activity-days" per point of merit to get back even more. Inactive users wouldn't be demoted.
2626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊[Boxing] Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Junior [PPV on Nov. 28] on: November 29, 2020, 08:50:13 PM
This fight was good and thankfully he is not hurt at all due to his old age Tyson was unable to knock out his opponent like he used to be in his prime. Overall the fight was amazing and I will the replay of the fight cause I haven't seen him fight for a long time. Hopefully, this is not his last exhibition fight for he can still box like the best professional boxer.
There is a major difference doing exhibition fights and doing it professionally and you cannot expect any fighter to return professional after 50 years of age let alone get a license to fight, you might see Mike Tyson doing a few exhibition fights and you should not expect results in exhibition fights and what surprised me in this fight is that Roy Jones gassed out pretty fast because of the heavy body shots of Tyson.
2627  Economy / Economics / Re: Is corona virus crisis changing economical equations around the world? on: November 29, 2020, 07:25:13 PM
Some major countries are facing crisis created by corona virus, meanwhile few others have controlled it successfully. Can this pandemic change economical and political status of countries?
The pandemic has changed the economic situation of all the countries around the globe, many people are struggling to stay afloat and majority of the small scale business have shut down because of the economic crisis they are facing, you cannot force a shop owner to shut down their store for months and expect him to open and continue the business. Countries like US are printing trillions of dollars to boost the economy and mostly they are printing those to hand out free money and it will affect the economy.
2628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 29, 2020, 04:52:43 PM
It is unfortunate to hear these incidents but good to see that these issues are brought to light and there were much bigger scandals in the past especially in Olympics and anyone who does these should be sent to prison for a long time so that we will not see any exploitation in the future.
The biggest scandal in Olympics was the Dr Larry Nassar case where he was accused of molesting gymnasts for over two decades and the US Olympic association did not take any action against him until many women came out in social media and started revealing their horrifying stories and he was finally prosecuted recently in 2018 and he will be spending the rest of his life in prison and hopefully criminals like these will be brought to justice.

2629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal is sending the wrong message on: November 29, 2020, 03:09:18 PM
Sad!
So those frauds bitcoinDOTcom, Paypal are using the name of Bitcoin to stay in the completion with their business?
It is true during the initial stages as PayPal did not provide any clarity on how they are planning to carry on with the business but once reports came out that PayPal purchased 70% of the mined coins in recent times it is clear that they will be allowing the option to withdraw BTCitcoin sometime around next year.

PayPal started allowing BTCitcoin to stay in the competition and we will see many platforms accepting BTCitcoin in the future and the only problem with PayPal is their business model of blocking the account if you are dealing in huge amounts and i have seen complaints regarding a BTCitcoin trader who got his account frozen and as far as i understand it is a long process to unlock the account.
2630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 29, 2020, 07:36:52 AM
Australia batsmen trying to tell Indian bowlers that its going to be very long and painful series for them.  Grin Every batsmen knocking them out of the park and ridiculing them.  Tongue
The Australian top 5 players scored half century and Smith scored his second century of the series and we have many more to come, i was expecting Australia to put a total of 400 runs to chase and it looks like the Aussies are adamant to see how well Kohli can chase huge totals  Cheesy. The same repetition of the first match and today India should score more runs than the first match and improve their batting average rather than going for the target  Cheesy.
2631  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC tx accelerator works really? on: November 28, 2020, 09:25:28 PM
As per the suggestion by bL4nkcode i tried antpool accelerator with a lower fees to try whether it is working but i did not see any difference.
How did you check to see if it works? If you expected to receive a confirmation as soon as it shows your TX under the "accelerated transactions" then that's not how it works...
- You still have to wait for them to mine a block or two.
Even if it took 6 hours to get the confirmation i will not claim that i did not work, i made a transaction with 27 SAT/B when the fees at that time was over 250 SAT/B and i added my transaction to antpool accelerator and it got confirmed only after the fees came down below 27 SAT/B after waiting a couple of days. That was the first time i tried using antpool accelerator after the recommendation, may be some other time they would accelerate the transaction but it did not happen when i tried.

2633  Other / Meta / Re: The rise of the sports-streaming link spammers on: November 28, 2020, 04:51:20 PM
I say spammers, and not bots because a new account posts this stuff in the same threads some other user from their group previously posted it in before getting banned.
It is a bot attack as they are posting it simultaneously with different accounts and until all the registered IP are black listed it will continue with the same flow.

These posts are removed really fast.
Not all the time Wink.

Respect to all the mods and the users who report these trash Kiss
2634  Other / Meta / Re: Any Forum rules against racism or racist terms ? (official or unofficial) on: November 28, 2020, 02:15:49 PM
these people usually aren't worth your time and if this sort of thing offends someone they should just utilise the ignore button and problem solved. This whole cancel culture trying to silence anyone who says something they don't like is getting out of hand and it's a very slippery slope
The cancel culture is just stupid as the other things, they go after all your old public post even if it is 15 years ago and then the witch hunt starts until your image is tarnished and your job is affected, people does not understand jokes anymore as they are even going after stand up comedians and wants to censor them Cheesy.

We do not need any specific rules here and if you think someone is not appropriate to have a conversation a$ hilari mentioned ignore them.

I think most of us can generally accept that racism is bad and slavery was horrific, but unless you're out marching in the streets screaming Black Lives Matter some people will still call you racist, but you have to remember that these are the sorts of hypocritical idiots you're dealing with:
It is a major issue that started in campuses and now spreading to other countries. What surprised me is that the identity politics groups are able to influence major government offices to bend the law so that they could compel anyone to address words according to their dictionary or face legal action which is stupidity.

The only instance i had any sort of argument in this forum was with kenzawak, while talking about a fight in the forum thread he DM me and said he will fuck me up in real life and added some words along with it  Cheesy. I usually avoid getting into any confrontation online as it is meaningless but since he kept on poking all i did was invite him sending my location and never heard from him again and a few months after that his account was hacked Cheesy

2636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 27, 2020, 06:11:23 AM
Australia will win the match easily and the start they got, 156 runs opening partnership and still going strong and i am hoping Australia could score well above 330 runs because they have wickets in hand and they have some clean hitters of the ball.
Good timing, Australia lost the first wicket finally  Cheesy. India had a bad start but if they are able to pick wickets then they can bounce back. I am not happy with the Indian batting line up and if there is a huge total to chase i doubt these players could chase.

Hardik Pandya is in the team as a batsman and not an allrounder. He did not bowl a single ball in the IPL and how can you expect him to be bowling in today's match.
He is injury prone and if he bowls that could put him in the shelf for the next 6 months Grin.

The odds are heavily favoring Australia and after looking at the playing eleven India have included all the inform players in the recent IPL and the pitch looks flat.

2638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WOMAN WHO CREATED A FAKE BITCOIN STILL ON THE RUN. WILL THE POLICE GET HER? on: November 26, 2020, 06:33:39 PM
OneCoin was a really special case in my opinion. It's weird how this one scam is said to have collected a massive 4 billion USDs, without seeming to even hit the radar of Reddit and Bitcointalk(not 100% sure, but I haven't seen a single post about OneCoin from 2016-2017). Just comes to show how much scams are out there that haven't even brought to light.
There is a huge scam market outside our forum and the mainstream way of social media, i have personally filed complaint against 23 companies that were scamming people in the name of cryptocurrency locally and when i started filing the complaints back in 2014 it was very difficult to get any results as the police nor the authorities had no clue about cryptocurrency and then i forced them to file a case in the name of Ponzi and collecting money without necessary documents and permission from the RBI and SEBI and till now only 8 people were convicted and brought to justice and some of them collected over hundred millions and majority were able to game the system and till now never faced any legal actions.

The recent case that had my involvement was a case from Kerala a few months back and the police nor the authorities did anything when i approached them, i personally hired a private investigator to collect his source of income and activities and then submitted all the evidence to the authorities and hence they took action and he is in jail.
2639  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in Freefall, What to Do? on: November 26, 2020, 06:04:02 PM
So bitcoin is down $3,000 today and it seems to be getting worse.  Do you think this will be like 2018 again when it went to $18,000 then tanked and went to as low as $5,000 in the next year or so?  What would you do in a situation like this now or in the future?
It is simple, catch the falling coins and have the patience to hold for a few months, the market will recover and i am sure we have not seen the rally everyone is expecting. There were huge institutional investment that rallied the price and what do you think they will be doing, book the profit and then reinvest again and there is nothing to be surprised here.
2640  Economy / Reputation / Re: Copycat Signatures: Chipmixer and Wasabi on: November 26, 2020, 05:00:35 PM
EDIT2: and second: give me a prove that the other service is fully trustworthy and not a government honeypot for later usage. I know this might not possible until to reveal the identity of the owner or operator of the service which will be dangerous for them. so again you have to trust them in any case and the deep pockets of them are for me a red light of attention. but everyone should decide for themselves. time will tell probably.
When Chipmixer started they were not giving the highest payment, your argument would have been true if they started as the highest paying mixer. I was part of another mixer campaign and it was paying double what they were paying during that time.

Your convictions might be true but just saying what i know when they started the campaign and if they want to corner the market they would have started with a bang with the highest pay rate since they get government funds Wink.

If you're going to tag theymos, don't forget to tag satoshi too, he's the one who put theymos in charge
When Satoshi left Sirius was the admin and then he handed it to Theymos if i remember correctly Wink .
