2621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance CEO Zhao Is Worth $96B Excluding Crypto Holdings on: January 11, 2022, 01:38:24 PM
He's such an inspiration and still doesn't see anything have changed from him. I saw how binance started as a project and I just ignored it but him and his team worked hard for it until they've reached success until now.

He saw the falling of other popular exchanges and learned the lesson from here and there so he can provide the best features to his exchange. So that he won't be ending the same as them.
2622  Economy / Economics / Re: Is PayPal plannning to Launch of Own Stablecoin? on: January 11, 2022, 11:43:32 AM
Few Paypal users over the years.
I wouldn't say few, there's still a lot of their users. They've got an estimate of 390 million users worldwide and that's ain't few.

I'll compare this possible launching of their own stable coin to Facebook's Libra that has failed. They're both planned but not executed so let's see if PayPal will just remain on their planning stage and might end up the same as Libra's.
that's very true, paypal users continue to grow even though currently transaction activity on paypal is decreasing because of the many competitors

I agree with @mk14 opinion, paypal is just trying to explore what happens if they execute their plan above, will many support!

the possibility that paypal coin will become "the next failed libra" is also very large
One competitor is bitcoin and even they've just adopted cryptocurrencies, the number of their competitors are growing and that's why instead of beating them, they've joined the game.

We have to see it go first but that comparison of the failure of Libra, it's from a big company but didn't push through. That's why the thought of having that failure is no different from the first projects that have tried it.

Even it is PayPal, they're not exempted of failing with that plan.
2623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Teaching your kids to gamble. on: January 10, 2022, 07:50:54 PM
That may be sound weird as we're gamblers and we don't want our kids to gamble. But that's the reality, we want the best for them and we know the implications once they become introduced to gambling. They might not control themselves and they're still kids and where they're going to get their money to gamble? from us, parents.

I think it's okay to voiced out gambling to them once you see the signs that their curiosity is also ticking about it. You tell them about habits, the effects of it and based from our opinion, good and bad.
2624  Economy / Economics / Re: Euro zone inflation hit a new record high of 5% in December on: January 10, 2022, 06:41:52 PM
The omicron variant can possibly make it even higher or worse. We don't know if it's the last variant but there's the other one that's been found in France, the Ihu variant. And every country and region is affected of it which is mostly large countries that are also taking precaution from these variants of concern.

It will depend on how they'll deal with these variants and if they're going to implement lock downs. For sure if more lock downs are being implemented, it'll cause their economy to be slowed down and likely to increase inflation.
The Omicron variant is certainly making the situation worse, however, I highly doubt it that it's going to be the last one. On the other hand, due to its extremely high transmission, experts are believing that it's the beginning of the end. No more lockdowns are going to happen, only a few of them occurred in Europe, but austerity measures are going to be imposed, as an effort to control the pandemic.
These mutations are going to be endless and I think that's for sure. But hopefully, the last mutations would be not that strong anymore but it seems that they keep on upgrading from every variant that it becomes.

I doubt that these variants of concern are the signs of the beginning of the end. We're not yet there and that's for sure, one variant might end into a certain country but it would become a vital and concern to another country.

Yes,@sunsilk what you think is right, the IRS page is fake one. IRS was not do Investigation for that website/company.
The idea was originally brought by jerometash and he seems correct with that.

Good point.
The first time I was transferred to a government site, it always was a message hanging on website.
However, as far as I can remember, they were always agencies from the United States. I think this is the first time I have experienced such a situation in the UK. Is it possible that this is the procedure in the UK?
It's possible that there's a procedure like this but if they do, they have to give some notification or warning on what they did for a certain website. Just like what jerome has said, whether it's from IRS, FBI or any investigative government website. There should be a note telling that they're now in control of the website.
2627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you have a chance to become a VIP what casinos will those be on: January 09, 2022, 07:43:31 PM
I know what it takes to be a VIP and will require us a lot of money to wager and even lose them. I think the idea is good to experience the treatment of how's it like to be a VIP.
You're right, becoming a VIP means you're not just an average gambler and reaching that point just shows you also wagered a certain amount but in return you'll enjoy the perks of being a VIP of that particular casino.

Anyway, I will just choose the casinos that I gamble frequently and thats Rollbit and Duelbits. Im not a VIP and still very far from that level but im contented with my position now as a small time gambler. I can still enjoy my gambling habit and not doing anything that can make me become addicted.
Yes.

You've got to choose whether to remain a VIP and enjoy the perks or be cool with it and choose to control yourself of spending that much again as you've reached that membership status.

Well, it all ends that as long as you're enjoying with a casino. And you're very much satisfied with the games that they offer, that's the most important matter and being VIP is just a plus as you stay there.
2628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CAN YOUR BITCOIN BE STOLEN ? on: January 09, 2022, 12:46:38 PM
Without exposure of your private keys, can your bitcoin be stolen ?
No.

In the opposite, if you happen to unnoticedly exposed your private keys into different apps or place where it can be found by anyone then you're going to be surprised that you've been robbed.

That's why how you're keeping your private keys is vital and make sure that you're not storing it into anything that can be hacked or robbed easily.

Keep it in a safe place like no one would ever think that you've placed it there.

There is a lot that is better than them and I understand the reason why you chose them because you're confident that they're from the UK. The website is totally gone and when you access them, it is going to direct you to the IRS website.

This: https://www.irs.gov/compliance/criminal-investigation/how-criminal-investigations-are-initiated

I think the government is on them and your report has reached them already.
Just wondering. Could this be the scammers playing mind games by redirecting the site to www.irs.gov?

As far as I know, whenever a site is seized, there is always a warning showing that the domain has been seized and is under investigation by law enforcement bodies
Actually, you're right with that. On their website, it doesn't show any warning that they've been seized and the website is now in control of the IRS.

It's possible that these scammers are the ones that have done it to make it look like they've been captured by the government so, the victims won't chase them anymore as if they've been already caught by the government with their shady business.

Very possible, I haven't thought about that.

I know what it takes to be a VIP and will require us a lot of money to wager and even lose them. I think the idea is good to experience the treatment of how's it like to be a VIP.

I know how it feels when someone is a VIP and you're likely being prioritized by the casino that you've chosen to be. But I'm good and the current status that I've got is already normal and having those privileges may sound good but I let it pass to the others.
^ One of my friends told me that if you have become a VIP at a certain time on a gambling casino you should watch out for yourself because you will become prone to gambling addiction. We know how many promotions and good bonuses when we reach the level of VIP in a casino and it required a high wager and of course a capital also. But I don't like to be addicted or super obsess with gambling, just a normal gambler would be fine to me, and never dream that one day I will become a VIP since I have also a limit, it should the amount that I can afford.
Yeah, it's like that you're obligated to make use of that VIP status that you've acquired and that makes you think that before it expires, you have to maximize the use of it.

I guess this goes the responsibility of being not just a gambler and as well as being a VIP of any casino that you're in. Make use of the benefits of it but make sure that you're also carefully watching out yourself.
2632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 08, 2022, 10:42:30 AM
It's better to be planned well again for the reschedule so that they'll maximize the profit for this match.

I do agree that it's better if the match will happen in the US so that there will be a lot of fans that would certainly watch the match whether live or with the PPV.

That's where money is flowing through PPVs since we're still in the pandemic and US is currently experiencing a surge. Hopefully, we get the update that we're waiting for this match the soonest.
PPV + tickets would be the most normal way for them to get more revenue which is understandable that they should really maximize possible source of it but there are circumstances which
it cant really be avoided on which they would needing to be postponed due to new variant or would be having some change of venue or some sort in related with delays.
Thing here is that the fight should really push through no matter what.It does only sucks when you do need to wait for more months.
They do make a lot of money from that.

And the situation is giving that advantage for the PPV because everyone wants to watch the fight while sitting back relax at their homes. To give an example how much revenue could be in PPV. Although it is incomparable to Pacquiao fights but let's just do it for the sake of idea.

Pacquiao vs Broner earned $30M just for the PPV. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manny_Pacquiao_vs._Adrien_Broner
2633  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or altcoins on: January 08, 2022, 09:02:43 AM
Back to what you want to achive in this crypto world. Let me give you some parable, if you want to make money shortly as a trader, maybe altcoin is the best choice, because the price is not too expensive like bitcoin, and manycoin you can collect as a trader.
If you are an investor, maybe bitcoin better than altcoin for a long time, because most of the price of altcoin, determined by bitcoin price.
Long term = bitcoin

Short term = altcoins

This is what you're saying with that example but it's not a parable. It's true that there are too many cheap altcoins that could make someone rich eventually without realizing that they did the right thing.

But I've seen people who invested with altcoins that just pumped, they didn't know about it nor did any research, they've just bought it because they think that it's a good buy. Other than that, most of those analysis that made them buy altcoin is really due to the cheap price and likely the potential of it.
2634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trust Wallet or TokenPocket? on: January 08, 2022, 07:39:00 AM
Trust wallet one of the prominent exchange. Very secure and trusted. Huge people use trust wallet all over the world. So you can choose trust wallet. Have you know another exchange binance? Binance is the biggest crypto exchange. So you can also try binance.
Trust wallet isn't an exchange although it has an integrated exchange service inside its wallet.

As you've mentioned Binance, they're the owner of Trust Wallet. And that's the actual exchange and for the purpose of a wallet, why use binance which is an exchange and if you're just aiming to hold?

You should have just use Trust wallet.

Unfortunately, there are still no updates on the fight. And maybe yes, both parties are negotiating another venue and hopefully it will be in the US as we all know that it is where the money is as far as live gates and PPV and I think this will go on a PPV as this is a championship fight. So just wait boxing fans, I know that everyone is excited to see Casimero in the ring again and hopefully retains his belt so that a Inoue class is imminent.

2637  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: January 07, 2022, 07:57:59 PM
Everything is possible.

But the problem is with those who bought at the peak, they're problematic about the current price of bitcoin. Normally, holders won't see it as a problem even it goes down to $30k.

As it goes down near to $40k as its support, you have to think of any possible thing that may happen for it. Remember, bitcoin is volatile and it can go as high as it can and go low unexpectedly.
2638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: staking is a type of mining? on: January 07, 2022, 11:52:13 AM
Hi all,

When it comes to staking what is the risk?
The risk is the fluctuation.

I am new to crypto and holding coins for the long term so is it worth staking certain coins?
It is worth it if you're just holding it and you have nothing to do with it. But in return, you're going to allow the platform to hold your coins for you unless it's a wallet that gives you the keys. The higher the stake, the bigger the profit.

I would rather earn something while I am holding coins but want to be aware of the risks first.

Thanks
There are wallets that allows you to stake, I'll choose them if I'll stake and won't stake into an exchange.

I've tried to look at your concern but it seems that it's not there but it could be a browser problem. Use another browser or go incognito and see if that's going to work for you.

If there's still no help and solution, post it on their sub-reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/NiceHash/
2640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Average gainer gambler on: January 06, 2022, 08:36:03 PM
In my locality maximum people are losser. A few people has  gained in gambling. But who has entered in gambling never give up actually. In anyhow they manage money and placed bet. Actually how many percent people overall gainer in gambling? Betting sites day by day gradually getting richer. The Owner of bet365 is one of the top richest person in England.
Casino is a business and that's why it's obvious that many of the casino owners are making a lot of money.

But there are also gainers but do we need a percentage for it? If you're a statistician, well that would require you a lot of time to survey and take those numbers for the percentage.

As normal gamblers, we understand that we can be losers and winners at different times. We gamble for good, for fun, and for gain. To say that a few people gained gambling, there are actually many of us.
