If I'm looking at it correctly, we've got a new ATH on multiple exchanges!

Coinbase, Binance, Biftfinex and Bitstamp so far, hopefully more to come soon.

Yep we saw $19918 on Bitstamp. Wondering if we see $20k this year ....  Roll Eyes

Dunno I'm not wondering it's clear as day, it's inevitable.. Shocked

You are going too fast for me. With you, I mean all of you plus corn.

Well, buckle up bud.

2021 is 2013 on steroids...  Cool

People/friends started asking about investment in bitcoin.
I tread carefully. The problem is that they always first ask about bitcoin and few months later it turned out that they changed it to something else.
You cannot teach someone a life experience.

Same here... why would I invest in BTC if BCH (insert any shitcoin here) has grown 5% and BTC only 2% they keep asking...  Cool

20 k coming up

21k. soon to follow

Looks like 25-30k by new years.

then Jan-Feb correction to 14-16k

then the real bulls get loose in fall 2021

50k is reasonable by dec 2021.

I own a dec 2021 $50k call.

Doesn't really matter who owns it... BTC will reach $250-$450k  in November-December 2021...

And that car will be a house in a few years.
Get a Maybach and it could be.

Minor question: For those using systems like Kraken, are you keeping your coin there, or just putting some pennies in every month for the auto withdrawls?

A concern is starting to grow in my mind: That exchanges will start considering bitcoins transferred from/to private wallets to be "suspect" by default.

Kind of like how email evolved: It used to be following standards, but these days Google mail will only trust mail from other large centralized mail systems (MS Mail, Yahoo, and Google) with everything else being treated as "spam" by default.

Then fuck exchanges and sell via OTC...  Grin

For European residents, I can vouch for Kraken. Been with them since 2015. No issues. Deposits and withdrawals have gone through (although withdrawals were for very small amounts—don't know what will happen if I request to withdraw a lot).

There was a time (around 2016-2017 IIRC) when their servers were slower than a CASIO calculator, which actually protected me from selling some corn by failing to execute a string of sell orders. My current stash would have been much smaller, had those orders gone through—thanks Kraken!

For Europeans,
The tentacles of Kraken,
Work kind of OK.

I agree. I have also been a customer since 2015. I have made monthly withdrawals since late 2016. Never had a problem.

Thanks for the reply. My Kraken withdrawals have been minimal—only a few times for a few hundred € each time. Everything went smoothly, no questions asked.

If it's not too much trouble for you, what are the approximate amounts of your monthly Kraken withdrawals? Hundreds? Thousands? Did you have any issues with your bank (i.e., being asked "where do these monthly deposits come from?" and having to explain about your crypto, etc.)?

I don't think answering the above poses any OPSEC issues, but if uncomfortable, please ignore this post. Thanks!
The amounts I have withdrawn monthly is between €1000-2000. No big sums, but they have never failed me. I've had some problems though, but it has never been problems on the Kraken side (like when when Revolut/TransferWise blocked transfers from/to Kraken).

Just to add that I have been happy with Kraken too.
I made a few medium sized withdrawals of around 30,000 euros (used to pay off mortgage) no questions asked and no problems either.
Would deffo recommend.

I'm worried about my local banks more actually. As a transation of ~$10k USD/EUR raises a huge red flag for almost any bank. Get ready for the questions they're going to ask. Although I have heard that UK banks are somewhat more tolerant (or simply have higher red flag limits?).

Anybody ordered (& received) Binance's VISA card? Could be a great replacement for a Coinbase debit card? Cool

Meanwhile: we're over $18k again!
No, but thank you for the tip. Good to know when/if my current btc debit card fails to work.

I've used a numerous of bitcoin debit cards over the years. The first one was the ANX card back in 2014. I also used the Xapo card back then, but they both failed to work after WaveCrest suspended their services. After that, I've used card such as Revolut and TransferWise, but I stopped using them after they blocked SEPA transfers to/from Kraken. Right now I'm using Wirex.

I used Wirex too and it was awful. Their card had lots of downtime. Finally they blocked my account without mentioning the reason.  Grin

It's one thing to play by the rules and report to IRS which is required, but it's a different ball game to actively sell tracking software to governments, why are you funding this again?

Use gemini at least the Winterfloss twins are pro bitcoin

I remember I checked it and Gemini had huge fees... so what else can you suggest if not Coinbase? Kraken? Binance? Ol good Bitstamp? Cashout time is getting closer HODLers need to be ready...  Cool perhaps OTC is the way to go?

OK, it's Altcoin season again.

That's why Bitcoin is a bit stale in the last few days.

Shouldn't take too long before Altcoins get dumped again and the money flows back into Bitcoin ;-)

I think it's the other way about. Alts are going up because bitcoin is a bit stale.
Don't forget to take your profit before it's end Grin

Yeah thats right. Don't forget to take your profit in December 21 at 400k... Grin

I think I can maintain continuing to be poor and wageslave for another 4 years..

Thinking about the same.

But don’t want to miss the grand cycle either (selling at a major top and getting back in lower).

Was considering the same but.... There was a good post on this by 600watt if my memory serves me well... in short, his assumption was there might be no ~80-85% dump anymore after a blow-off top. So hodlers who would sell right into the fake dump won't have an opportunity to rebuy back lower, instead the price will continue to rise...  so I'm not so sure anymore...  Cool

I doubt it $13k is going to happen anytime soon (ever?). And also according to your graph we're going to recover in around February-March 2021? Also straight line to the moon looks improbable. IMHO we're going to ~$50-70k top then down to $25-30k and then to the moon November-December 2021.  Cool

a good as prediction as any i think    these are just 1 sigma soma doodles on a chart to give peoples something to stare at as we await carolina

i dun know nothin

A good point by El Dude earlier today - what would a noob (just bought $500 worth BTC on Paypal) think upon seeing $13k in a graph on what he considers to be a trustworthy BTC guru forum? F*CKING SELL! RIGHT NOW!  Grin Grin Grin

Until a couple of days ago, I was expecting some kind of swing action between 14.5k and 16k, possibly until the end of the year. Now I see similar patterns on the hourly, the 4 hour and the daily: higher highs, lower lows. Nothing exact, of course, because she follows her own rules anyway. So it's strictly SOMA, but this could be the bull run we've been waiting for a while. I don't mean the ultimate bull run (will there ever be one? I suspect and hope not), but something echoing 2017-2018, with unexpected* highs in late December/early January, and a sensible correction soon after that. We'll know soon enough I guess: as soon as the past ATH is broken, it's going to be FOMO all the way.

* speaking from a normie POW

Well I could buy this one... if we'll break ATH FOMO is inevitable...  Cool

I dunno...$18k-$19k seems to be a top retail price for most. Seems most dont want to buy at higher prices.  Just institutions sucking up all the mining supply.
Anyway..best guess on a possible correction pattern.

There was this member called Eddie
Claimed he'd taken up with a new reddie.
He regaled us with tales
With many likely details.
But we all knew Eddie's reddy was his teddy.

Did I mention curves?

Wow perhaps we should do a wo gf ass challenge? A woer posts a pic of his gf/wife (bf for Bawb) ass with BTC price written on it and also write a username of a woer he challenges...  Grin
