Some users actually overlook posting etiquettes, they are prolly thinking it doesn't matter, and what should be important is the content of ones post, yes, the content is what is most important, but you have to make it possible for other users to read and appreciate what it is that you have written, you can't just quote in an unreadable way and cluster all of your words and expect people to read it, i am pretty sure they would rather just skip, notwithstanding how good what it is you have written is.

There are also features/icons in the forum that we can see directly above as we are typing a new post/thread, all of that can also be employed to make our post look more beautiful, for example just the way @Lucius used the underline feature/icon in this post to separate the two posts he quoted, i am not saying users should use them always or abuse them, but if employed skillfully, it would make your posts aesthetically pleasing to read.

Finally as regards how to quote properly, users can take a look at this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3749076

Nigeria need adopt bitcoin and they need to do am fast.
If we are to be honest with ourselves do you see that happening in the forseeable future? With what is actually happening on ground, such as: Nigeria has placed a ban on crypto (yeah, i know it it not a thorough ban), but a ban of any sort shows unreceptiveness to the network, again we have gone on to launch a CBDC (E-naira) that is regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria, the handwriting is somewhat clear on the wall, and it is that this present administration doesn't want to have anything to do with decentralized digital currencies (as far as making it a legal tender is concerned).

Having said that, i would also like to bring another dimension to the discussion, our Nigerian Naira is losing value everyday as a result of inflation, the government would be seeking ways to improve the economy of the country which will reflect on the value of the Nigerian Naira, if we are to be honest with ourselves, Making Bitcoin a Legal Tender will not help that cause, instead it will further dampen it by bringing an alternative legal currency; because AFAIK Bitcoin can't help the general economy of a country. Do you really think with what is happening on ground in Nigeria what we need is Bitcoin adoption? If you ask me i think what we need first of all is a viable/stable currency/economy.
2643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Fet.ai a good token? on: May 01, 2022, 04:25:21 PM
I bought it when it cost at 0.32 waiting for it to reach at least 0.40 and now it's worth like 0.27, at some point will pump right? rigth?
I am pretty sure you did your own research before speculating on the price of this coin, well if you didn't then take note that you shouldn't be doing that, it is expected of you to carry out your own research before buying any coin whatsoever. As for this very token, it is not very popular and i don't think speculators fancy it very much. There has to be constant demand for a coin and continuous development from its team of developers to either maintain its price or to pump, sadly i do not think any of that is happening for this token right now; if i am going to be honest with you i don't see this token as having any sustainability in the long term, so since you are running at a loss for now, you can prolly hold it, but it would also be much better to sell if/when you break even or make any ROI. Mind you that it is not an investment advice but just my two cents, do your own research and make up your own mind.
2644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What might occur on the next bear market on: May 01, 2022, 04:04:44 PM
I think we are already in the bear market, and just like in the past, bear market is not something we should panic because it's normal, instead, we have to fill our bags so we will be ready by the next bull run. The market cycle is going to happen, bear market, then bull run, just believe it will happen and you'll be okay.
Are you talking solely about Bitcoin? If you are then you are correct, Bitcoin is a long term project and speculators on Bitcoin do not have to worry too much about correction periods/plunges/bear periods, just accumulate, hodl for the long run and somewhere along the line you would make ROI, but it just has to do with a lot of patience.

But having said that, OP is talking about altcoins, and you know many of them are short term projects/pump and dump coins/driven solely by hype, so you can't just keep accumulating or else you will run at a loss in the long run, most of them dump and do not rise again, quite a lot of them are only driven by hype, and once the hype is gone, so is the coin; altcoins are not meant to be held for too long and it is wrong to continue filling your bags with them, except you are ready to sell them in the short term. But i think you are talking about Bitcoin by the way.
2645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all hacked on exchanges are real on: May 01, 2022, 03:40:02 PM
The perfect theft in crypto is claiming that a project or an exchange is hacked when its all an inside job, the reason why I think about this is I have never heard about other top exchanges helping a exchange that just got hacked to track their funds and get some back at least but if it's a sole hacker from outside they will track him or them down, why is that?.
Honestly your theory would need some backing or the other if we are to go with you, mind you that you prolly might be correct but is there anyway to be sure, a data, link or whatever that buttresses your point. But notwithstanding i would comment on the aspect i am pretty certain about even if it is slightly not in line with your topic, and it is that people should not store their funds in an exchange wallet, they should move their funds to a non-custodial wallet and have possession of their keys/seed phrase (remember, not your keys= not your funds), that way they would not have to worry if exchange hacks are genuine or if it were perpetrated by the exchange itself. Since exchange hacks are quite popular in the crypto network, it is much better to basically do whatever you want to do on an exchange and immediately move your funds into your own 'personal' wallet, even if you are to leave funds on exchange platforms, make sure it is just a very little sum.

Zidane will never coach a team in England. That's just a team in Spain or in France
I am really curious to know your reason for stating the above categorically, has Zidane ever at anytime said he would never coach in England, and if he has then can you help me with a link to it, so i can read/watch it myself. AFAIK Zidane should be open to work anywhere, except of course for a rival to a team he has coached previously (like Barcelona). It would be interesting to see Zidane coach in England, but it will depend on the team and the offer he is approached with. I am not saying Zidane's next job is going to be with an English team, but what i am saying is that you can never rule out Zidane coaching an English team somewhere along the line in his coaching career.
2647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 28, 2022, 08:47:33 PM
The Newcastle vs Liverpool game is going to be another important game for Liverpool indeed. They are still following Manchester City behind by one point right now. They have no choice other than keep winning every single one of their games from now on to maintain their chance for the lead and league title. I believe in Liverpool to win this game truthfully. Maybe it might be a little difficult but they would still find a way to win this game. And they will hope for Manchester City to lose some points against Leeds which seems not very likely to happen to me.
It is going to be very tight down to the very end, i have said it before that these teams (City & Liverpool) are going to switch positions quite a lot of times before the end of the league, depending on who plays first, this weekend it is Liverpool who play first, so they have a chance to go top and wait for City to play later in the day, it is a crazy title race, and no doubt it is going to be settled by the finest of margins.

Having said that, Liverpool and City face tricky tests this weekend, Newcastle are rejuvenated and they have been winning quite a lot of games, Leeds on the other hand need to win in order to get as far away as possible from the relegation zone, it is definitely winnable games for both top teams, but it won't be easy.
2648  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin an angel in disguise also reasons to cry on: April 28, 2022, 08:02:50 PM
Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme, it is a currency that offers freedom and control to its users, is censorship resistant and has an actual utility. It was not created to make you rich per se, though due to its volatile nature and pacy development causing appreciation/depreciation in price one can speculate on the price. Having said that, if you are a speculator it is expected you do your research, cause if you do you would know Bitcoin is a long term project, and thus speculators should expect to make ROI in the long run.
yet it has crashed alot of made men turning them from grace to grass, while many see reasons to merry on their cash out ,some experience sorrow..

2649  Other / Meta / Re: Creting a second account after ban without being caught. on: April 28, 2022, 11:23:49 AM
I don't know why they are so stupid to enroll two different accounts in the same bounty that forbids it. In this forum it is allowed to have two accounts and participate in two different bounties or two different signature campaigns. Or in the same signature campaign or bounty that does not have this prohibition. And yet there are still cases like the one mentioned above.
Lack of patience coupled with avarice, i say lack of patience cause maybe at the time such users enroll multiple accounts in the same campaign, there prolly aren't other campaigns OPEN at that time, so they want to get all of their accounts into the available one, because they lack the patience to wait till there are open slots in other/different campaigns. But it is still a product of avarice, cause if not one would quite reasonably just wait and be patient, rather than breaking a campaign rule (it isn't a forum rule, but an unethical behaviour that users get kicked out of campaigns & receive negative feedback for) all just to make more money, but in the long run lose out on all.
2650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 27, 2022, 03:08:38 PM
Liverpool must be careful when facing Villarreal later in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League.
I am pretty sure Liverpool will not be underestimating Villareal, how can you even look down on a team that knocked out Juventus and Bayern Munich on their road to the semis, it is obvious Villareal is doing something good and they can possibly eliminate anyone including Liverpool. But the thing is this, Liverpool is a team that comes out in full force to win all of the time, it does not matter who they are playing, i am pretty sure they would enter this game like it was a tie with Real, or City, that is how Liverpool play and it is good to see.

Having said that, Villareal have to try as much as possible to stay in the game, with the second leg taking place in Spain, all they have to do is ensure they get a good result in tonights game, make sure the tie is still alive for the second leg, and that way they would have a chance.

We are yet to have our local board, so we have all discussions packed up in this single thread, i know it can make things somewhat messy sometimes, having to discuss multiple things all at once; but we can still help ourselves by keeping it tidy and readable, i am making this reply particularly about quoting patterns, it is unnecessary to quote a really long post/thread just as you did above, it makes your post unreadable and kinda hurts the eyes, lol. So next time you want to quote a long post or thread, just do it exactly as i have done above, you can just clear out the entire post and leave something similar above, there are many other ways to do it, of which i would post a link to, here it is:

Following Karim Benzema's masterclass performance against Manchester City, Ballon d'Or talks begin. There is no one more deserving of the Ballon d'Or than Karim Benzema. It's not just because he scores goals, but because he is the perfect player who leads his team to victory. No player comes close to Benzema's achievement in this individual award. Since the World Cup is still a judge's role, he's a strong contender.
I think it is still a little bit too early to pick who is going to win the Ballon d'or next year, Benzema has been in majestic form, and if he continues this way, wins a couple of trophies, performs exceptionally in the World Cup, then he would be a strong contender for the award, for now he and his team have prolly only secured the Laliga title, they could be knocked out of the CL by Manchester City and that could bring a whole new perspective to the discussion.

But having said that, Benzema has been superb, with the amount of goals he has scored and how well he has carried this Madrid team, he really deserves an awful amount of credit, i would hope he continues like this all the way to the end of the year, he deserves to win a Ballon d'or award at least once before he draws the curtain on an illustrious career.
2653  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: April 27, 2022, 07:35:15 AM
Make I no lie una this forum too wide for me sometimes I no they even know where to start from...
Like i have said before, but i wouldn't mind reiterating, the forum isn't as wide as you think it is, so first thing's first is that you should rule out that mindset, start from the beginners and help section.
I no know where to get good information on how I go prevent being scammed. Last time I report for beginners bord as I was scammed and na Nigeria Binance Telegram group oo...
The thing is this, many people take Bitcoin/crypto to be a get rich quick scheme, so they fall easily for scam and think there is a special way to avoid being scammed in the crypto industry, but the answer is NO, just the same way your protect your fiat currency (Naira), that is the same way you protect your crypto funds, for example, if you receive a text that reads thus "hello sir, i want to introduce you to a platform were you send 50,000 naira to earn 100,000 naira in return in less than a week", would you send funds? The answer is No, but if crypto was to be mentioned or used people would send funds, WHY? Cause they take crypto to be a get rich quick scheme. There is actually no guide per se to avoid being scammed, but since 9 out of 10 people are scammed out of their own folly, we could generalize it by saying one should avoid being 'foolish' not to get scammed, what do i mean by that: whatever is too good to be true, isn't true, do not trust, but always verify, keep your seed phrase/private keys to yourself, avoid telling a lot of people you own Bitcoin, do not clink on random links, avoid storing lots of funds in a hot wallet, if you receive an unsolicited mail/pm, it prolly could be a scam, do not be moved by avarice, etc, etc, the list is endless.
So pls we go need good guide on how to make quality posts, because whenever I see people post, I go they Reason say me I fit do such lost so, but I know we go get guidance here. Thanks senior men's in Advance.
The same thing i said above is applicable in this case as well, i know we have threads on "posting etiquette", and threads that also teach people how to make their posts more attractive and readable, but there isn't a guide that can teach you how to make quality posts per se, it has to first of all come from within, and in an area you have interest in, when you make posts in areas you have interest in, you will obviously write better. Then there comes knowledge, and that isn't something one gets overnight, if you go back in time to the posting histories of most Legendary/Hero/sr/full members, you would see that their early posts were not as good as what they are making now; so what am i saying, the more your knowledge increases, the better your posts, and your knowledge can only increase when you do your research, read quite a lot of things, ask questions, etc. Goodluck mate.

I hope that the Manchester United - Chelsea match is going to be fun. I don't trust Manchester United so much about winning this match above all else. They are having a bad season and nothing has changed about them yet. And I will be expecting another poor defensive performance from them here.
Chelsea themselves haven't been convincing this past few weeks, they have been really sloppy and i do not have a strong conviction that they would win Manchester United convincingly. United are of course worse than Chelsea this season and they really do not have anything to compete for this season, they do not seem to be in the top four race anymore, and Chelsea look to already have secured 3rd spot, so the game is more or less a 'dead' game with both teams not really having any use of the victory, except of course for bragging rights; i would be expecting United to win this game by the way.
2655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 26, 2022, 09:18:41 PM
Manchester City's victory with a 1-goal difference with Real Madrid makes an uncomfortable position in the second leg later, considering that Real Madrid always surprises and can turn things around, especially playing at home.
You're making it sound like City would prefer to be in a losing position coming into the second leg rather than this current situation, i know City squandered lots of chances and could have put the game to bed even in the first half, but the thing is we won, and we have the advantage heading into the second leg, whether it is 1/2/3 goals ahead, it is still an advantage, of course City would have hoped to come away from this one with a better advantage, but it is what it is and i cannot wait for the second leg.

We all know City is not the team to come into a game and sit back, so the second leg is going to be just like the first, full of attacking/end to end stuff. As a City fan i am happy Cancelo would be back for that one (he was suspended for today's game), majority of our problems came from the right wing as both Stones and Fernandinho couldn't cope in that unnatural position, with Cancelo back i don't think we will have too many problems in the second leg.
2656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 26, 2022, 05:39:43 PM
Just a few more hours and then we'll start again. I'm curious how it will go between City and Madrid.
Football is indeed the beautiful game to keep millions of people anticipating, counting down, waiting for a game to start, it is indeed amazing, i am also 'curious', i can't wait to watch my team City walk out to the pitch of play tonight. The thing with City i love so much is that they rarely play a bad/poor game, even if we lose a match, we more often than not play well/better than our opponents.

I am really confident about the outcome of this match, i can't see Madrid defeating us at the Etihad tonight, i think City will either win or draw this one, in this sort of games, the first leg isn't usually as intense as the second, but i am still expecting an entertaining one tonight which will set us up for the reverse fixture at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
2657  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (Merit) what's your best post or topic so far? on: April 26, 2022, 04:39:36 PM
You have earned 21 merits, meaning you have just around 10 smerits to send, i consider that too small to start a merit giveaway thread, except of course if you are looking for more merits from this thread, merit giveaways make sense when they are run by merit sources who have their source merit replenished after 30 days, that way they can give out more smerits and keep the thread active for a pretty long time. So i would advise you look for posts that meet your merit criteria and give merits to them without starting a thread for that.
2. No newbie account is allowed unless you feel your post or topic really deserve merit.
Why wouldn't you consider sending merits to newbies, if many users have likewise mindset then you prolly might not have earned any yourself.
2658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 26, 2022, 03:49:40 PM
The only thing I'm confident about is that Man U won't make the top four.
Lol, yeah i think theirs is all but settled, they never even looked confident to go on and grab that important fourth place that would send them into the CL next season, so i am not surprised, they have four games left to play this season and they are 6 points away from the team (Arsenal) in fourth place having played a game more than them, slim slim chance of finishing fourth.

I would still stick with Arsenal if i am asked which team will finish fourth, they seem to have found their rhythm again. But the decider could boil down to the North London derby coming up in a few weeks (12th of May) between Spurs and Arsenal, that could finally clarify to us who finishes fourth and who gets the final nail in their coffin to end all of their hopes.
2659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to $DOGE after Elon Musk bought Twitter? on: April 26, 2022, 03:28:41 PM
Thanks to Elon Musk, the crypto market is brought back again.
I think quite a lot of investors have been buying Doge from when the rumors started making the rounds till this time that there is now an official statement on the whole matter, i think people believe Doge will pump right after Elon purchases Twitter, it could, or not. But my point is that it is a bad investment strategy to go with when you decide to buy a coin whose pump is solely spearheaded by one man, a lot could go wrong, except you are prolly speculating with the coin for the short term; but if you are considering a long term speculation, then i would advise investors not to do that, a coin has to have an actual utility to be a long term project.

Well no look down on yourselves because some of us take us some months to understand how things dey work here...
Not just a few months, but quite a lot of it, i know it took some people a shorter time than others to get acquainted with things, and that is normal cause people have different levels of assimilation and knowlege, but overall, knowledge about the forum, bitcoin and other whatnots definitely doesn't come overnight, it takes some time, determination, effort and hardwork.
make i tell you truth ehh e no easy at all like this na only here i hide myself so that i no go dey trapped down or get bad name so small tin wey bin dey boda me be say this forum too big and large and person no fit do any oda tin like post another board and tins never clear for my eyes na wetin make i say make i follow up here first maybe if i don stand small i fit push out go another place fit talk tins wit oda pipo.
Well the thing is this, the forum isn't as big as you think it is, so first thing's first, and it is that you should rule out that mindset. Secondly, as for where to get started, Beginners and help section is the perfect place, your post would not get as much scrutiny there as it would get in other sections, afterall the section is designed to get beginners started, thus as your knowledge and confidence increases (which would not take too long), you can now delve into discussions in other sections without much trouble.
