2641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Machine Learning truly predict Bitcoin's price? on: December 13, 2021, 12:53:01 PM
Or maybe, we need to buy and use one of these AI/machine learning in order to evaluate its performance. This is gonna be the best solution and to prove something, I think.
It's useless and it could be wasting your time and money, there's no such way to predict the future price of Bitcoin.
But one thing all we know is that Bitcoin price was always ended at a high price.  Even though this machine has an AI algorithm system that can able to predict but I think it isn't accurate.

What kind of machine it is?
If so, there could be a chance it will use in an automated trading bot, and this may be the perfect tool in trading.  But yes, for sure the performance doesn't have a guarantee that it has an accurate result.
Indeed, a waste of money and time. And there is no way to predict the future of Bitcoin and I think, we've done with our own market analysis and TA which I think we don't need such machine.
I don't know how the invention is made and how it proves that it predicts the right price. We keep thinking about the volatility of the market which makes these predictions and any form of predictions will never be perfect or even too close to it.
2642  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 13, 2021, 12:05:18 PM
There are a lot more stronger boxers than him that is natural to their weights even in crusierweight like Makabu. So that leaves him only 2 options, it's either CW or LHW, no more higher or lower than that division.

Per https://box.live/world-rankings/cruiserweight/. Makabu is actually number 2 in ranking, so he is really a good fighter in his division, but look at the betting odds, he is an underdog against Canelo, so I think there are not many quality boxers in cruiserweight division.

Araneta tickets have been already shown how much they cost. The patron A will cost 375 only.
They've put down the prices so that everyone who wants to watch it live can afford it. I thought that they would be making the prices too expensive for them to recover but I was wrong with that expectation.
I still remember the time where we went in the MOA Arena for the first time to watch PBA game and that is SMB Vs. TNT. If I remember correctly, the price of ticket at that time is around 400-500 and we are at almost the uppermost part of the arena.

I think making the price of tickets cheaper will attract more people to watch the game. Its a win-win situation for both the PBA and the audiences. Since we are slowly recovering financially because of the pandemic, its understandable that there are some people who can't watch the games live because of the expensive tickets so to solve this problem, PBA made the tickets affordable for those people who wants to watch their games live. Well, I just hope that cheaper tickets will attract more people to watch live and I hope that I will be seeing more people in the arena than the previous years where there are only few people watching for some reasons.
Yes, it's actually a good decision from the PBA management to have it cheaper. There will be more fans that can avail it since everyone is starting to get up from this pandemic. It's really a 'we win as one' package for them. And on the other league, in the MPBL. It's now an official pro league, they'll be also having their games with an audience. So it's a total win for all of us basketball fans. We can go and watch any of the two if we happen to be closer in the venue.

What do you mean by pro league? Are they not pro league before? I'm just curious because MPBL is one of the popular basketball leagues in our country but I'm not so super sure about their status since I don't watch this league all the time.
2644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can $SOL rise to $1000? on: December 12, 2021, 10:48:48 PM
I just take a look at the current price of Solana and it is quite to say that it was following on the downtrend like others.

I may be saying it was a good project and really has the potential but that wasn't enough to push its price to be in the rally unless if there is a hype that someone's created. But for now, it was just hoped, and maybe it comes to reality. We never know exactly but as being said, never expect much.
2645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: December 12, 2021, 08:37:44 PM
What a big win by Donaire, that fight showed Gaballo that he is still not at Donaire's level. He KO Gaballo with that sweet body shot, maybe he work on it because I saw that before, he may be still thinking that Inoue used a body shot to him that hurt him so badly, the reason why he slowed down in the later rounds.
I love how Donaire had an impressive fight, since Casimero is out, nothing can stop the Donaire vs Inoue rematch.

Today is truly a big day for Donaire this man shows no sign of speeding low in his performance against Gaballo and I think he 's just recharging his same strength like his younger version at age of 39. I want to congratulate him and to all who bets for Donaire today is your big day too. I was expected that Donaire will going to win this fight and since Casimero is out on the possible match for Inoue yeah I think and I believe that Donaire has a big chance to rematch against Inoue, let's just wait for future announcement.

Gaballo is not a technical fighter, he is very predictable and he relies heavily on his power, but Donaire just shows his class, he shows to the young undefeated fighter who is "Flash Donaire", and that punch was very well executed that finish Gaballo, it's a liver punch that ends the fight, same style Inoue uses to KO his opponents.

This is the problem of most younger boxers, technicality is not their cup of tea yet. But didn't expect that Donaire will finished this fight early. I am rooting for him but I thought this one will go the distance. Maybe, he really did plan to finish it early because it would be harder if it goes the distance. Now, I hope we will see once more the Inoue-Donaire fight again. And let us see if the outcome will be different this time.

Why would you expect it to be a long fight? If Donaire wins, it's usually coming from a KO.

Look at his previous fights, most of his KO wins happened in less than 6 rounds.

Gaballo has learned his lesson in this fight, he should work hard in order for him to be a champion, not the end of his career yet although that he is undefeated no more.

Donaire seems slowly fulfilling his dream to be an undisputed champion, this great win of him is his ticket to Inoue's fight and he could try to beat Inoue again, so if that would happen, it could be his last fight if he losses but if he wins, he could go for Casimero's belt to finally get all the belts and be a unified champion.
2646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 12, 2021, 08:24:17 PM
Last time Derozan took a team to conference finals or closer, they got eliminated and got swept, dude is not a great playoff player. Bulls could be looking good so far, but I feel like they won't be as great when it is time for the playoffs and they will be eliminated very quickly, either first round or second at best. Let's see how they will do without him in order to make a better decision.

That's not a problem for most of the fans for sure, one step at a time, at least we will see the Bulls going back to the playoffs again and that's already a great improvement, and you can't make a conclusion that DeRozan would not be able to carry this team to the NBA Finals as he is playing with a different teammates, we don't know what's going to happen, so instead I'd enjoy watching them and don't expect a lot.
2647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play2earn games on: December 12, 2021, 12:43:30 PM
How good will Play2earn games be that someone can rely on them for daily weekly or monthly income? Axie infinity was a blast but now it's no more a easier option for people that are struggling because the requirements to play the game is highly costly, are there free to play crypto games available?
It cost a lot, honestly. But some people made a way to make it, they made themselves as a scholar to someone who offered it. I'd never see any crypto games that offered free, yeah, we still need to spend some money for this. Maybe it was not a problem for us if we are willing and very interested to try. This is an opportunity for the gamers to earn some money while playing, I think it wasn't hard if we know how it works but it serves as our advantage and most likely, we earn more.
2648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Machine Learning truly predict Bitcoin's price? on: December 11, 2021, 10:46:12 PM
I've watched a lot of YouTube videos and read a lot of articles that claim that you can predict the Bitcoin price with Machine Learning and artificial intelligence like using some algorithm. Truth be told it is both intriguing and almost at the same time confusing. Personally, I don't think any ML or AI tech can make any price prediction now because we have a lot of whale manipulation (because the market size is smaller than any other market). Well, while I may be wrong I would like to know what you think. Have you ever gotten a satoshi richer by following the prediction of an algorithm?
These machines are programmed to make predictions, then it's possible they could make it but the question is if that is realistic? I don't think how reliable it was, we know these machines are not too good compared to the human brain and we know that nobody was able to predict the right/exact price of Bitcoin, so how much more for these machines?
Or maybe, we need to buy and use one of these AI/machine learning in order to evaluate its performance. This is gonna be the best solution and to prove something, I think.
2649  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we talk about airdrops? on: December 11, 2021, 10:09:18 PM
Just leave it alone if the airdrop tokens you got needed payment like minereum wherr you have to pay to be able to send your minereum to sell or trade whatever you lioe but the truth is you won't be able to do that. In short, it is a scam attempt where they send you a lot of tooens then you must send a fee as explained earlier.
It doesn't make sense actually if that he needs to pay more for the fees moving to the exchange more than the token he has.
I really don't think how these airdrops are worth participating with. They are almost 100% worthless and scam things. Yeah, you may receive a 1mil token, that was really huge but the price is $0, not even listed to any exchanges, that seems useless.
But in the first place, we could think also who would like to give that? Who would like to give money freely? That is why we never have to expect airdrop to gain value but just only $0.
2650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata December 29 on: December 11, 2021, 08:58:37 PM

All fights, regardless of sports, that will happen to Japan this month are now postponed due to the new virus variant called Omicron.

There's no date yet when will be the next schedule but obviously, it's next year, 2022. It will give more time for both boxers to train and prepare for the fight especially Murata as he needs as much as possible time to practice his techniques against GGG.

Let's just hope first that the new virus variant will not create global havoc again. If everything will go smoothly, we can possibly see this fight being re-scheduled right away in the 1Q of 2022.
While I understand why this is happening at the same time it is so sad, almost two years have passed since the first variant of this new virus appeared and yet it is still causing a lot of issues around the world.

I hope that scientists can determine how dangerous is this virus and I hope it is not as dangerous as it was speculated so we can go back to this new normality, that even if it was not as things used to be it was finally tolerable.

It's a new variant and they are making prevention of this virus not to spread, so the decision is understandable. It is probably just postponed as they could still fight again once everything settles back to normal. Lots of fights are postponed or cancelled due to our current situation, but it's not new to us, so let's still get positive and continue hoping that eventually it will be realized in the near future.
2651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 11, 2021, 08:29:35 PM

I don't think people are concerned with getting infected with the virus, if the government did not impose restrictions, we might still see a number of people going to public places despite the increase of virus spread. Now, that the audience is allowed already, expect that it will be soon the same as the NBA where the crowd is not anymore doing social distancing and wearing masks because they are confident they won't get sick as they are already vaccinated.

Knowing how hard-headed pinoy was, it's no surprise if after PBA allow live audiences we might not see proper implementations of safety protocols maybe from the gate they will show respect but after getting inside wild crowds if there's still interest will break those rules, just look how politicians are breaking the safety protocols.

Sorry to drag them here but I just showing example of how crowds are unable to control when excitement is already in them.

Hope for the best regarding to this decision. Smiley Wink

Hope that the vaccines are effective enough to prevent people from getting sick by the virus. As the virus will stay and vaccine will only improve our immune system, so it will still spread that's why it's encourage that everyone should take the vaccine so we can go back to normal, and here, we are already seeing an improvement that we are going back to normal.
2652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should i buy? on: December 11, 2021, 02:18:31 PM
What do you think are good and potential coins, that you should have to choose. I guess you need to see this https://coinmarketcap.com/ for more information and to see what coins are worth buying. I would not be going to recommend new coins as they are likely no use case projects, less potential (or nothing).
The top coins in the market seem to be the best option. However, it was going to see that hyped projects are profitable as well but of course, there is a big risk investing in them and we need to be careful.
2653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: December 10, 2021, 11:37:25 PM
I don't care if this triggered by anything , Bitcoin will return to what the momentum recently .

Buy bitcoin guys this is our chance to take more Bitcoin.

Buy and Hold.

Let's take this opportunity guys , Please ..
In the current bearish bitcoin price condition, we should be able to wait until a reversal point appears. Well, that's when you start buying again. However, even though the bitcoin price is currently falling, it doesn't mean it's a wise move if we put all our money to invest there.
That you need to act wisely and never rush on it unless you are willing to wait until the reversal point comes.
It was very common that people are buying during the dip, I'm also doing the same but of course, we can't just set aside doing TA if buying today is a good time or have to wait for the signs of recovery. Well, it was a choice that everyone does. Everyone has their own market understanding and I think, we make decisions based on that. That is why, if we got wrong then have nothing to regret, just move on...nobody is perfect.
2654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if governments make Bitcoin centralized? on: December 10, 2021, 10:57:12 PM
I think that this is far from it. But I see that Bitcoin is already a very effective tool for influencing
This is definitely far from reality. Why would a government end up centralizing bitcoin? Knowing bitcoin is decentralized, so it can never be fully controlled by the government or any group or entity. But once its centralized, the government will all have the access on it. But take an example from China, they have created digital yuan which is definitely centralized in the first place, so they started banning bitcoin so that its citizens will stop using it and focus on their own digital currency. Maybe that will also be the case of other countries' government and they would not waste time on adopting bitcoin anymore.
A reason why many would like to keep Bitcoin over fiat is that because the government has no control. But, it was to see that they are taking steps to get through it and possibly will control cryptocurrency someday. And if this going to happen, we don't know what will happen next but I think that these crypto investors and users will still invest in them. I don't think that they will stop this stuff but rather continue it under their control coz what they want is these users and holders will pay tax.
2655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 10, 2021, 04:40:26 PM
As of now, Philippines is starting to gain back to normal and no reports of this new variant.
For that, I think the schedules will be intact and people are really excited to watch again, including me.

That's great news, we should be optimistic that one day the PBA will be allowed the audience in the arena to watch the game so we can finally say we are slowly going back to normal....

and just read the news. a really good one.

PBA to welcome back fans next week upon return to Big Dome

Quote
THE PBA is headed back 'home' by next week.

The pro league was finally given the go signal by the Quezon City local government to play its Governors Cup games at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, where fans will also be welcomed back to the games.

Commissioner Willie Marcial made the announcement on Friday night after the Alaska-San Miguel game at the Ynares Arena in Pasig City, which had hosted the first two weeks of the import-flavored conference.

Games will be played at the Big Dome starting on Dec. 15 until the end of the year, including the final leg and grand finals of the PBA 3x3 tournament.

So disappointed, I was expecting this fight today and found out it will not gonna happen, and the worst is that Casimero will be stripped of his belt because of this. I don't know what team Casimero is doing, they probably have not prepared for this fight well.

look at the betting odds, it's still up though the fight may not happen.

2657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it good to penalize airdrop hunters? on: December 09, 2021, 10:49:03 PM

...
Do you think it's a good idea to penalize airdrop hunters? Will this do more harm or good to the adoption of crypto/Blockchain tech? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
Even we think that airdrops are just a source of major scamming incidents and these hunters are blindly participating and promoting them but to have them penalized, was too much and inhuman. And it finds not a way to solve this problem as these scammers will find a way to make it possible and succeed in their plan. Might be these hunters are tools to help spread their fake projects and got paid, well, that also for the investor's responsibility to have researched before investing, unless if they are also blind about it.

Thank you ROS for winning the game and I won my bet as well.

I took the ROS to win 11+ when they were down in the 1st quarter, I'm glad they score the last seconds in the 4th quarter to secure the win of my bet.
Guys, ROS has a great import, Walker is an old PBA import who really did well in his past team/s.
2659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 09, 2021, 11:19:19 AM
Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trail Blazers game was also a nice one. Since Lillard got injured, Portland haven't been performing very good. And we understand this from their current form as their losing streak has increased to 4 games by this one. GSW destroyed them by 104-94 even though Curry didn't play that much impressive. But I guess there are not too many people who are surprised by this result.
Not only Lillard was injured, CJ also did not play in that game, so the Warriors have all the reason to beat the Blazers. But lucky for the Blazers, they cover the spread as the Warriors only won by 10 points. The most surprising game last night for me was the Nets vs Rockets, and that was a big upset as not only the Rockets won, they also dominate the Nets.

The result of the Rockets - Nets game was really surprising for me also. But Kevin Durant was rested and didn't play in this game. This could be the main reason why Nets lost this game like 114-104. Harden tried to carry his team against his old team here but it wasn't enough for getting a win. Harden was nearly making a triple-double btw (25 pts, 11 reb, 8 ast).

But there's Harden who can also carry the team, and not only that, some of the players on the Nets are veterans, they know how to win games as they were star players before when they are still at their prime, it's just that the Rockets are getting better and they continue their win streak to 7.
2660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and it uncertainties on: December 08, 2021, 11:28:31 PM
In general, if a trader has chosen trading for work, then it should be understood that this is just an unpredictable option for making money. The market can change very dynamically.
Yeah I dont think choosing trading over work is a wise choice to make. A day job will give you a fixed income per month or per week but trading does not guarantee you any such earnings, the graph is more ups and down than a stable line.

It is a personal choice though. I know many professional traders making a living out of it, but we tend to forget that such people are only a handful and they usually started trading a long time ago. One cannot just start trading today and leave their job at the same time and not go bankrupt, it does not add up. So if one wishes to trade, keep it as a side hobby and gradually grow on it. Dont sacrifice your stable income for that, that is a foolish thing to do.

Lack of these insights is the reasons behind going "rekt" and ending up in debts.
That is the way to go, it is almost impossible to become a full time trader right away, at first you are going to need to do it as a side job, then once you grow your capital through the years by saving the money you get from your job and the money you get from the markets then that is when you can consider leaving your regular job and begin trading, also I will say that this is way easier to do if you are single as you can easily reduce your expenses, but if you are married this is going to be way more challenging.
Trading is very challenging at the start, you'll never know exactly what to do especially when emotion tried to change your mindset and sometimes a reason for losses. I've tried trading as a part-time job but sad to see that ain't working well until I do it to spend more time than usual and to see a lot of changes happen. That I realize that trading needs more time, it has become more profiting if you are focused on it as a common full-time trader does. But if this is not meant for you, I'm still sure nothing gonna happen even you spend 24 hours on the computer.
