However, I think we are still at the same risk that ultrloa described. If one of our mail accounts is compromised, then all services we have registered with it are at risk (unless we use 2FA).

Unless you used the same password all over the sites that you registered then you are not risk, might want to start using random password generator to help you out in case you need a strong password. Even better that right now because you know that Roobet's database might be compromised, it might be a good time to start using 2FA in every account.
The site security can be compromised any time and it's our responsibility to take necessary steps at our end also like setting up 2FA security setup and no need to have random password but yes different is good and have offline backup of them in case you mess up sometime to secure you then.

Rollbit is surprisingly working in different ways to promote the casino and they are also having some kind of raider giveaway in which they have awarded Rollbot aquired during buy back to users now.

The 2013 High was around $500 and even if she had invested at that amount she got 20 bitcoins out of it

The fact is i am taking highest price consideration at the moment ignoring all the open, close and low levels of 2013 to make some simple analysis for her and to make comparison.

20 bitcoins at $54k is approximately around $1.09 million so does she cares about price dropping even to $40k also? She is millionaire at the moment and is at huge profits taking her investment time and price. But the fact is that we all were not lucky like her to get a chance to invest at these low levels but what are we doing now also? Repeating the same mistake is not going to make you also millionaire.

Suppose you invested at $54-$60k also and around 2025 not going too far the prices are $160k-$170k will this still affect you if it dips around $150k? This is all matter of time and those fearing this dips and calling it bubble burst might not have seen this that how btc rallied from $25k-$28k to $69k in a single year and we all were very happy which is of course usual sentiments but the holders are familiar with volatility so how come we think it will always rise only? Will you call it underperforming if it has rised 68000% in span of 13 years with deflationary nature and what other stocks or traditional asset is capable of providing you such returns and is totally decentralized?

This was just normal example and some of you might have heard about the guy giving YouTube community advice to invest $1 only in Bitcoin and now flaunts his luxury lifestyle on insta and YouTube all because of Bitcoin only.I say we cannot exactly copy them as I am also not a whale or other big investor but a normal resident like you but why can't we stack sats and invest whatever we can and hold it for some years patiently? People wait for 10-15 years in the stock market and you can also check those who have made profits from S&P 500 have invested back in 90's or even back but even in 2000 then also it's 10-15 years gap but when it comes to btc all wants to be rich overnight which makes me surprised.

If you need to secure your future you need to decide that what you want to choose btc or some shitcoin or the one with infinite supply and is mere piece of paper in coming days(dollar) which can't safeguard you. This time will also be over we all need to patient for that and good time will also come.

The Rollbit Boss has crossed $843 million wagered on the casino and that was pretty fast when the last time i mentioned about him wagering with this speed and he has won some similar prizes with $845,000 and going on with betting aggressively on Rollbit.

Instead of Using a dummy email, You could use your own different email created by you. Gmail and yahoo are free services. You can create an email within a few minutes. IDK Why people suggesting to use dummy email for such important things. If you forget your password, you cannot recover your account. Sometimes casino needs verification. it happens often. if you log in from different IP, Casino needs device verification/New login verification Via Email. I think it's very important if you are a gambler.
Always use or have your secondary and third emails as an option receiving notifications, I often use it especially on some finance related accounts e.g. exchanges, gambling sites, non-custodial wallets etc. Using dummy emails isn't a good habit especially if you really the account you're using it will be in used in the future.

Its more ideal to use a secondary email if you don't want too you can use the +1 feature of the gmail which is more good if you want to use multiple emails but in gambling its good to use another email just make a new layer of security like email recovery and secret password incase the primary password won't work, It is not ideal to use a different IP address IMHO because for sure you will get bothered because of the email verification of every time you log in.
This is what i suggested him to have an secondary mail which will not bother him much and he can relax rather than going through all of them and check once he login to that mail but he will miss the latest updates from Roobet.

$50 to get $550 in just four days? Hell no. This is obviously a scam. So sorry, you have been scammed. That is like 200% daily return, which is not possible in any legit business.
Which company, coin is giving such returns in four days unless it's scam shitcoin? Grin

I have came across many such scams but speaking bluntly this is your fault for really believing such fake investing promise that could give you 5x returns in just 4 days? How come you can trust him.He just claims to be big investor and without any proof and investigation you believed him in hope of earning more invested $50 and get scammed which is just obvious. This is what greed can derive us of and we need to be aware of this. The amount was not big although it could be for you but what if you have invested more? So take steps wisely in the market and this is the most common scam which can be easily avoided.

> How about DeFi, NFTs, metaverse
They are mostly built over Eth Blockchain and have ERC-20 tokens as their native currency and you would easily find lot of discussion about them on Altcoin board and if you say each separate board dedicated to all of them as sub-board then it's not possible and logical at all.

Suppose if theymos take into consideration your advice and have such boards then what if the trend is over and no more projects are into the market? Then what delete that board? This is all irrelevant as they are sub-topic of trading and altcoin board as @mk4 have suggested to you.

Having sperate boards for taproot and other technical updations in bitcoin seems right to you?

Others: I have bought electronic gadgets, gaming stuff, cameras and other stuff on this black Friday sale.

VS

Me : I have bought btc at discount of 10-12% on this black Friday sale which was the best deal for me as this won't come up next time.

The btc prices have volatility and people selling is common but those who are selling it at loss are the one's who will later call it scam and all that bullshit but they are not seeing the past growth of bitcoin. Here is the index at each thanksgiving day :

You can see how it jumps from the the low levels and within these years it has managed to reach $56k at current even if we ignore $68k price tags as most of us are doing so but this dips doesn't mean it wall fall to zero? If it can rise when there were not too many supporters so do we believe it cannot rise when all wants to accept and invest in it.You see it your way btc maxamilist will enjoy it their way.
2650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto's Wealth on: November 27, 2021, 09:17:51 AM
Does it really matter? Satoshi jumpstarted the entire cryptocurrency industry in general. Whatever he/she/they are planning with the coins, he/she/they totally deserved it. Satoshi could literally dump it right now and I would still thank him/her/them.
It doesn't matter because in the end we all are Satoshi and he started a decentralization chain in which we all as a community are involved and we should leave this mystery until he wants to resolve it or he is dead no one knows so make it simple rather than more complex.

because the less bitcoins circulating, the more value.
Take his million coins also out and yes less the supply more the value according to simple economics which derive demand and supply rule. This is our main matter and we don't need to make efforts to unveil who is the creator of Bitcoin as there are many self-proclaimed  Faketoshis in the market like Craig Wright and some other but we all are satoshi and he doesn't control the system so be happy.

Somehow he got 2.6 million RLB maybe he bet $2.6 million on x-crash, imagine if the price of RLB is $1 he can become a new millionaire.
This is how it works as you could be millionaire easily or even not with years of gambling also but the token reaching $1 have less chance for some time so he is not getting to be new rich list so easily.Gambling is totally unexpected and you need to be lucky to win big.

Ehi! It's Friday (again)!
It's the last Friday of November. This would be a great day to release the mid-September video!
(expectations are high, I continue to hassle @Cyrus, but in the end I will patiently wait for the release to happen when it happens)
How many Fridays you have cut off the calender till now? Grin .But yes in the end we hope that big surprise is to be unveiled by @Cyrus and maybe he is taking bit longer to cross our expectations this time also.

And it's Black Friday so give him a break, he is probably purchasing on discount all equipment needed for making this video  Cheesy
Maybe we need to start thinking about contacting netflix and making Bitcointalk movie.
Yeah he might be putting on hands to have some really cool video equipments for quality enhancement this black Friday sale.He could find some good cameras and other stuff to buy them at 50-60% discount what you are referring to.

So we will wait for it to be released with patience. Wink
2653  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is cryptocurrency making new millionaires every day? on: November 27, 2021, 07:42:28 AM
Majority of those who get involved in altcoin trading lose a large amount of bitcoin specially since they all hang around too long. For example during 2017 we had a large surge of newcomers who bought a lot of different altcoins because they saw them pumping every day. But they didn't know that it was a "pump" and though it is "growth" so they ended up bag holding until they all lost a lot of money and some lost as much as 98% of their initial investment (left with only 2% of it).
If you want to see them, just search for topics talking about "having patience" during 2018 Cheesy
This is what happens when you blindly invest in these coins just because they are rising insanely just for temporary period of time under some influence but people tend to ignore these facts and just put their life savings on these altcoins which are shitcoins at most and gradually end up losing them all.

In the past few days we saw shiba inu insane rally and whales buying billion worth of coins but what happened when it reached at high prices? The exchange server crashed and people were not able to liquidate their holdings as you could not sell them and then prices crahed. So what's the fun of holding these coins?

Second case of Squid game token which was giving 1000% returns in single day and people rushed to invest in it and later on it crashed 100% to zero because of rug pull and the holders lost all the funds in one go and the owners scammed people with million dollars and ran away. This is what you want to happen with you also by investing in these coins?

This is the misconception among newbies and many others that crypto is shortcut to become millionaire easily of which scammers and shit token owners took advantage and first pump the coins with fake projects background and once people start investing they dump the coins and cash out their profits and latter one is left with 3-4% of initial investment as you said.On the other side they ignore btc just because it's out of reach and having sats is not possible at all(excuse) but they ignore how safe and best btc is and those who have hold it for years are actually millionaires now what they want but this is not how they are looking towards it.

I welcome another market drop caused by covid. Last time this happened you could scoop up btc at around $3500, if you hodl it at current rates you're up what.. 1600% ish? Bring it on  Grin
We have seen the worse than it and now ready for bad also not afraid of it now and yes we will be up if we hold it this time also.Just slight back to make high jumps  Cheesy

I've been trying to jump on the crypto train for a while now, but lacked the motive.

I saw this post https://coinful.net/explaining-bitcoin-so-you-can-actually-understand-it/ which was pretty helpful, but I wanted something more.

Can someone provide something more?
There are lot of resources available online and on forum as well to which can give you accurate idea about how Bitcoin works and you will be sound enough to tell others about them but you have to be keen to grab that knowledge and implement it.The members have already told you some useful links about articles, videos, books and guides which you can go through and have sufficient knowledge to get familiar with bitcoin and how it is changing the world.

Here are some useful links you can go through to help you in that case :

5 Resources to teach Average Joe about Bitcoin

Some Books we need to read

The best is to read Mastering Bitcoin 2nd edition by Andreas Antonopoulos which will take you to Bitcoin journey from scratch to pro even if you lack technical knowledge about it and there are many more which you can take advantage of later on but first of all try these listed resources for your benefit and you will have good knowledge.

Why to bother like this if you really don't like it, just click "unsubscribe" it's done and you won't receive notification emails anymore, you and I still like updates sent by email and we'll find out.
I think what I see Roobet doesn't send emails too often every day, for me every time there is an event, Roobet will definitely notify you via email.
I use the Roobet gambling site, it's been 4 years, the email sent by Roobet is really accurate and real information for me, I mean about betting, that's a positive thing for me and it can remind me at the same time about the bonuses/competitions offered by the Roobet site.

@dittoup.
So, what's wrong with email as long as we need and play gambling there, unless you are no longer playing, maybe you can delete emails, sites etc, that's better for you, problem solved.
That's why I suggested him that he should have used some spare mails or simply unsubscribe it if he is fed up with them but they are not sending away any mail but the mails have some promo codes and information about the site like some events which are useful for players if they get notified about them through mails but don't know his style.Others are liking it and it all goes with majority.
2658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I missed the boat is not new concept.. on: November 26, 2021, 07:29:16 AM
Came here to laugh at the 'I have only 600 BTC...' XD The 'Missed the boat' concept has been around with anything and everything. Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, Gamestop stock... Where there is investing, there will be people barking that they are late. However, I doubt this is the case for crypto, at least not yet. My thoughts are that we might be late when we look at the first couple of waves in crypto, but when we look at the grander scale, this is just the start.
The problem is that you can buy stocks as there is liquidity for them available but for Bitcoin you can't always put the excuse that you did not invest because it was expensive or you thought it will not rise and how long will people are going to give the same old traditional or excuses as if it is an outside matter but until the time they realize that investment is for their own sake and securing future they will have the excuses. Many who might have sold out thousand of coins or lost the hard drives and keys to worth million dollars of btc are are regretting but the most people are still going that way by not investing and keep on repeating that whether to invest or not?

See the price have dipped and ranging between $56-$59k range falling from $67-$69k range which is almost $10k downfall but what people are doing now? Investing or selling? The whales are making the move by investing large sums at dips and other are busy in giving excuses and panic selling. This is not way you can have secured and deflationary future ahead.

I was also reading some sort of these news on social media and according to them the bill will be presented in the winter session in parliament on 29 November and what the government is planning is to build a framework for these Cryptocurrencies and their CDBC. They have stated that they will not go with accepting it as legal tender but they have given hints to regulate it as asset class but still all these are speculations which created FUD among panic sellers and exchanges witness huge liquidity and local prices were down 17-18% according to reports.

There was one post on social media by one of the Indian exchange executive and here it is what he says:

Quote
There are an estimated 100 million cryptocurrency investors in India, with total crypto holdings of around 400+ billion rupees, according to industry estimates.

Most probably they will come up regulatory framework and permit crypto trading as they will have huge revenue from the user's but panic selling is the top most priority of the investors with these news.
