2661  Economy / Economics / Re: LIFE GOES ON. on: November 21, 2018, 02:16:30 PM
Life has ups and downs so as with bitcoin market price. So, to whatever happen with bitcoin we must go on and follow the flow. Quitting in bitcoin should not be an option if you truly like the bitcoin system. Anyway, the system is always here accepting new investors and we will going to find out later on what will bitcoin going to happen in the next few years of its existence.
2662  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy high sell low! PRICE BTC 3800 eur. How? on: November 21, 2018, 01:42:21 PM
Well I do not like to speculate anymore for market price prediction is really hard to predict. However, there could be some good things that could be done during the market price down and that is to hold or if have some extra money it would be the good time to buy but not the way that you need to put all your hard earn money. This system should not be considered for gambling where you can possibly loose lots of money.
2663  Other / Meta / Re: Trust Feedback without reference on: November 20, 2018, 03:16:27 PM
I’ve left a few people +ve trust without a reference. I don’t think it’s an issue, you can always change the feedback to neutral or negative if they do something untrustworthy.

This explains OP's question about leaving reference. Actually reference are useful. This will help user that you had giving positive or feedback to keep them motivated if is positive response and to avoid doing things if they commit mistakes. This is how I think admin has viewed about the trust rating. There is nothing wrong also LFC_Bitcoin stated that he leaves +ve trust without stating the reference. It is actually an option wether you like to write the reference or not.

Trust rating is working good so far however there could be some things that will needed to change in the near future.
2664  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I bought my 1st BTC 2 weeks ago for $6 500 ("Lucky"). Pls recommend next steps on: November 20, 2018, 09:32:18 AM
How do you consider yourself lucky? I did not understand your post actually because you are showing that you bought butcoin @ 6.5K USD and see Bitcoin now thatbhas been drop to 4.6K USD. You're doing it the opposite way. You should buy now because market is really good for buying or wait for more dip and then buy. Bitcoin has been struggling for now but mind you that not all market has like now that always falling for it will going to rise up sooner or later.
2665  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Terms in the world of cryptocurrency. on: November 20, 2018, 08:34:11 AM
You mean crypto lingo?
Cryptocurrency Lingo/Slang
Nice thread and it has look like a dictionary already. I can always go back on this thread seeing some terms that I might actually apply in posting. This is one of the helpful threads I have been reading so far in this forum. I had so much about statistics and merited post but could not even understand what all those statistics for all about. It was highly technical and only them are quite had some understanding when it comes to the data they were presented though I bet that those post are very helpful for the forum and for future references.

As to users with limited knowledge on technical aspects here in the forum. This one presented is one thing I need to learn in this forum. Thank anyway for this. I will be having a lot of fun reading this later on. For sure, I can now understand some terms that are being used in this forum instead of searching them in the google.
2666  Other / Beginners & Help / Beware telegram malware, virus and phishing tools! on: November 19, 2018, 03:29:48 PM
I came across all over my telegram channel and seeing users posted malware in it and name with different title. The titles were being made is very tempting to bounty hunters and token holders. I was even thinking about checking but as soon as one users replied to the message saying it is a malware then I directly exit in that channel to avoid hitting the malware. This malware is to be found in almost all telegram channel with differrent titles like spreadsheet, distribution of tokens, List of.ICO big time holders.and so many more.

Now, the problem is how to.avoid those message in telegram. What do you think is it possible for a telegram channel block some malware known? It is very risky especially to the huge token holders in that channel.
2667  Other / Meta / Re: Cyrus! Account Stolen(Signatue provided) on: November 19, 2018, 11:49:32 AM
OP you can still had some hope to recover your accounts once admin will begin to implement and develop the new way to recover account. Just wait for now because it is still in the process and posted here by theymos https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0 (Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords). For now, just use your alt accounts to get an update with the forum and for cryptocurrency discussions. I bet you can have a good information here especially the new trends. Bitcointalk.org is created by Satoshi an individual known to be the founder or creator of bitcoin whose Identity is not revealed.

Besides you can rank up again OP using this account. Since you were here in this forum ahead of us then you can shared great ideas and information about cryptocurrency. Good luck OP hope you can still recover your account before theymos will implement the new ways of recovering account in this forum.
2668  Other / Meta / Re: Now Apriand isnt me on: November 19, 2018, 11:16:03 AM
It will be hard for you to recover that account OP. I bet DT also will have difficulties to tagged your account for negative trust because stories could be made up. We can't really figure out the whole story of the account because there might be another version for this like you just sold your account to that someone and wishes you can get it back by posting here in this section.

If I were you OP post more evidence to convince the DT's around that are also reading your post like provide screenshot of  the conversations being made from the one who let you borrowed money from. A screenshot also for your loan on Parodium so as to prove your story right that you have been to a loan with that user. Gather it all here and post in this thread you made. For sure there could be a high chance that your account will be recover by letting that account tagged with red trust and you will have to deal again like paying that someone you owe with interest might help him/her to push through the deal. Just make some effort so that you can take back your account. You have a good rank in that account but sad to say it is in the hands of the other user.

Good Luck OP, hope you can recover your account here.
2669  Other / Meta / Re: What is this forum for? on: November 17, 2018, 03:16:19 PM
OP knows what he/she violated in the forum rules but still could not move on the results as getting ban. Probably he/she knows how hard to get merit to rank up again into that position as a member of the forum. In my few months of stay in this forum reading lots of post in meta section seems like theymos has only responded few users but not with the topic about ban appeals. It is bias to tell that theymos will definitely will not respond to this so OP if I were you go have a SIP of beer and make yourself happy for you were being part and earn on cryptocurrency through this forum. I still consider you lucky for reaching that rank of your ban account whereas comparing to other lower rank users that has never been into that position and still fighting to earn merit and to rank up.

Just be positive OP you can still joined other forum aside from bitcointalk. But, if you will ask me which forum does better about cryptocurrency discussions then I am 100% for BITCOINTALK.ORG.

2670  Other / Meta / Re: To Admin : Pls check the copper membership. on: November 17, 2018, 10:17:09 AM
Probably you did not select the copper button and then wear it. If you are new buying with copper membership then try to follow other user posted on your thread. Good luck on wearing copper member for it has good feature to which theymos has provided for the new comers that would like to post images. Well Goodluck mate on venturing the forum. Hope you are not buying copper for wearing ICO signature and spam.

2671  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do we have a bitcointalk app? on: November 17, 2018, 04:22:26 AM
Thank you for the info guys. I had already enough answers and will going to lock this thread. It is indeed very risky to download bitcoin app if there is any for sure it is a phishing app.
2672  Economy / Speculation / bitcoin still dipping. What should we do? on: November 17, 2018, 03:13:17 AM
I often visit https://coinmarketcap.com to check bitcoin market price. And to what like other had said that the bitcoin has made some dip. The problem with the current market on the investors will worry the investors and will do panic selling. Still, FUD's werr getting worse as they had tried to pull over their claim was true and for that they said that its better to withdraw investment now or one will regret later. This is now another problem that made me confuse. Now, I had continue checking the market price movement and checking also the chart. I had made a screenshot of the chart. See the image below:

Please let me know so that I could also made some adjustments.
It still continue to fall. What should we do now? Do you have any plans for bitcoin investment now?
2673  Other / Beginners & Help / Do we have a bitcointalk app? on: November 16, 2018, 09:05:49 AM
Hello guys! I would like to ask politely if there is a bitcointalk app available for the forum?

Due to the love of this forum I am looking if there is an app for bitcointalk to download. This will help me to access the forum easily by just using icon to tap when accessing the forum.
2674  Other / Meta / Re: Flaws In The Merit System. on: November 16, 2018, 07:26:03 AM
Which is absolutely untrue and then you wonder why nobody gives your merit when you "stand up" with false statements. Roll Eyes If you are offering any proper service here, i.e. you have the actual skill-set required to do a proper job (unlike >90% of the people offering services around here), then neither trust nor merit nor rank is relevant.
This seem true even newbie rank could offer service just by buying the copper membership to enable newbie to post images and pictures. This will not limit one user to offer service to earn. I do not believe that rank and merit has to do with earning in the forum except for signature campaign. You need merit to rank up to join signature campaign and this is a problem of the common users complaining in the forum about not getting merit.

Like every system, this forum has been hijacked by these members who have reached the top and are now dictating the terms on the forum. The sad part is if someone tries to stand-up he/she is literally mobbed by the entire gang.
I read OP post and even saw that he had a concrete evidence on some users that has merited with just a word which is shown in the images. Maybe we should ask those users then why they had done meriting such one word post. If I were to guess it since both the merited users were possible merit source then probably they were just transferring more smerits to another user so that user could distribute it to other users that are having a quality post. theymos has consider this giving huge amount of smerit of a merit source to another trustworthy users to look for posts that are worthy to be merited.

However, many were still complaining about the inequality of not giving merit and envied the high rank users because of the merits they receive from co-high rank users. Still we need to consider that many of this users had posted quality post and worthy to be merited. Probably they had given a protocol to reward merit to someone is not copying and pasting of posts by the other users or copying and posting without the acknowledging the owner of the articles or blog being copied, checking their posts history for some were spammers and other considerations like constructing a post with bad English skills.

So, before they complain of not getting merit/s they should make sure to check their profiles and posting habit if they were worthy to be merited.
2675  Other / Meta / Re: Merit against spam: reward spam reporters & punish spammers on: November 15, 2018, 01:31:15 PM
Now imagine this:
-bots create 10,000 accounts
-bots start spamming "great project" with 10,000 accounts
-1000 bots start reporting the other 9000 accounts
-1000 bots turn Jr. Member and continue spamming with signature
-Mods run away screaming
Is it really possible that bots could make into this forum? I do not understand what is the purpose of captcha if bots in the forum could still make it to access in the forum. Indeed it will be really difficult for the admin to take on this bots one by one considering a huge numbers of bots in the forum. If really this does excess then OP's post about reporting will be useless. It is not tha easy though to report users that are spamming in tge forum. Anyway, I do believe that admin are acting on this already so it will be just a matter of time that these bots will going to dissolve.

For now, helping one another to report spam post and the plagiarist users would be a great form of help for the forum. This could not be easily done with few users to attain a good discussions for the forum. I can be a help of this too OP do not worry tine will come that the reporting habit will make a way cleansing the forum.
2676  Other / Meta / Re: Is there no fix for the triple question mark in trust on: November 15, 2018, 02:28:34 AM
Suchmoon- 28
philipma1957- 10 (Rating is older than 10 months = 10)
cryptodevil- 10 (Rating is older than 10 months = 10)
Vod- 8 (Rating is older than 8 months = 8
I see. So I better always stick in this section for more learnings and understanding about the forum technicalities. I was assuming that I knew about trust rating that I even state my opinion which is relatively wrong. Anyway, the explanation above was a simple terms for the trust rating of a user and it adds also how to compute the following on getting red trust qouted below.

Only ratings of the members of your trust list (or DT if you don't have a custom list) and yourself count in the score. Negative ratings have an exponential effect (2 to the power of number of negs) so in your example the score is 6 - 2^3 = 6 - 8 = -2

Detailed formula is linked in the post just above yours: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1066857.0

Whoever implemented this idea has a brilliant thinking and in fact the trust rating in the forum works well. I saw more users in the marketplace with red trust and that obviously means that I have to stay away or be careful to do trading with them. Hoping for new comers to get with this discussions and for them to have clarified about trust rating.

Up for this thread.
2677  Other / Meta / Re: Is there no fix for the triple question mark in trust on: November 14, 2018, 03:04:16 PM
I have never fully understood how they trust ratings actually work.
This account for example, Koshgel. The user has +6 rating and -3 which I believe means 6 positive ratings and 3 negative. S/hes trust rating is red (-2).

Does the trust rating of some DTs count more than others?
How are members in my trusted group rated?

Base on my understandings DT has given the privileged to give negative trust rating to a certain user if found out to be not trusted especially in trading. And on the contrary only DT also has the privilege to change negative trust rating to positive trust rating. I think this is how things work here and about the positive feedback given to other users that are not DT's are just a basis or reference for a users trust rating. Anyone could give a positive feedback to a certain user with just intention is to promote trust and confidence to a certain user but not the trust ratings because again only DT has the privilehe to do it.

Like to what you say that the positive feedback given to the users has nothing to do when a DT has given his feedback that for sure will record the user's trust rating. There are many DT's that you can PM to check on someone's activity if you think that they are scamming or promoting something that is scam. I bet they are attentive for this because they were users entrusted by the admins.

Nevertheless, if all of my understandings are right then one must be careful in trading with users with red trust rating because they are evaluated already with the DT to be not trusted. This is why their rule in this forum on evaluating trust rating for the users were very important. Thanks to them!
2678  Other / Meta / Re: Why is Meta growing fast but serious discussion and ivory tower dead? on: November 14, 2018, 12:51:12 PM
Not only signatures were responsible for this because there are other concerns also that has to be published here. I have followed in this section and you can see most of the open topics were ban appeals and merit discussions threads. Others are doing statistics in the forum that were relevant also for the reference in the update of the forum. This section has wider range for topics to be discussed and that includes the technicals in the forum, forum guidelines and the direct source for admins new change and implementation of a system.

It does not conveys that this growing section is an indicator of something bad for the forum. I do believe that a user could learn so much here. So, in my opinion this is a good indicator that a growing numbers of users in this section will be a help especially to the admins to relay directly things that admin wants to happen. If users will not come to visit here then they will not know the probable mistakes they were doing and will just continue to do it in other sections especially in the SMT. So, for me growing fast in this section is not a problem unless we can sense that most of the replies of the user are just for spamming.
2679  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happen to bitcoin in this coming year end of 2018? on: November 13, 2018, 05:04:44 AM
Seeing a less friendly situation and it seems that the value of bitcoin is declining today makes the holder may be a little worried, but this has become commonplace, just a month away hoping that in December bitcoin will have a good price and will improve in the coming year.
Well the speculation starts at October for bull run to happen. And then October had passed but no sign of bull run except there were few market price pumps for some altcoins in the market. Then the thought came next that the bull run will be possibly this coming November. So, we are now in the month of November and the market price still low and no signs of bull run. I know it is not about the speculation that move bitcoin market price instead it is the demand of the its investors or contributors that consider bitcoin as an asset, investment or etc. Now seeing the market price bull run will be possible this coming December? Well one should not expect it to happen. We have predicted it in October and it prove we are wrong. We have predicted also that it could in the month of November and seeing market price for bitcoin probably it will still fail. So, this coming December, bitcoin market price bull run will never going to happen.

you just posted a screenshot of coinmarketcap.com and then concluded that price is going down?!!
well, good luck trading in this market if that is the way you speculate it. i can see a lot of big losses in your future if you keep this up.
Yes, of course the graph has being posted because it has something that could be used as reference. If the graph is credible then we should ask for coinmarketcap.com to remove that graph. As you can see the graph has relevance to market price movement. We may not be an expert when it comes to speculation but mind you that even the experts had failed on their speculations even with their expertise in finding good basis for their claim. You should know that trading is not all about how you speculate it is also about how patient you are and you know the basic. Buying bitcoin when market price is low and selling it when market price increases. And I am only taking fragments not all bitcoin should be traded at the same time.
2680  Economy / Speculation / What happen to bitcoin in this coming year end of 2018? on: November 13, 2018, 02:32:41 AM
I have visited again the bitcoin chart and thought of many times what could be the graph will do to make any conclusions on what will going to happen on bitcoin this year. Take a look on the Image of chart below taken from https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#charts.

It seems like the graph stating that the bitcoin market price will turn back down. The chart has also implied that bitcoin has already reached its fame and it will just become a one hit wonder. Again, this because of the negative happening that news, FUD's that always keeping bitcoin agitated and struggling. If only people will tend to understand what is the purpose of bitcoin and why it was been created then probably things like this will not going to happen. As we all know that bitcoin has showed some benefits that a certain organization could integrate the system to make an easier, transparent through blockchain, p2p exchange, and no third party involve that could brought up huge transaction fees depending on the agreement.

However, the bitcoin system is still developing. This maybe struggle or challenge for the bitcoin system. In this year 2018 will be one of the basis for the possible outcome of bitcoin. What do you think of this system? Will Bitcoin achieve another milestone of achievement this year or will not? What could really happen to bitcoin before 2018 year end?
