I care not to comment on the demographic deltas that emerge from this metric. It speaks for itself.

You can't force people to be smart with marketing. Quite the contrary; marketing only works on stupid people.

Simply making people aware is worth it, tho. 99.9% of your hits will fall on deaf ears, but that 0.1% is always worth it.

Bob: Unfortunately that’s a misconception many people have. Bitcoin is secure in as much as you can’t double spend but your transaction history is completely open for all to see.
Jane: OMG… There would be riots if everybody was able to view other people’s bank transactions…
Bob: I know, and can you imagine when Bitcoin is used more widely…. Companies will start tracing their customer’s transactions and merging it with other information they have to find out what they have purchased and how much is in their account. Services will pop up inviting you to track your partners’ transactions and much more. Not to mention what criminals will be able to do with such information… To me this is very scary.
Jane: It sounds scary to me too… What can I do to protect myself?
Bob: I would recommend you use an anonymous coin, such as Darkcoin
Jane: What is Darkcoin?

funny, I finally got around to setting up a cron job for my masternodes, 'cause my brain is totally dead... anyway, it was so easy I didn't think it would work, so I rebooted, and guess what?  It worked!  Wow!

If you don't have a cron job set up to restart your masternodes in case of reboot, just do this:

cd /etc/cron.d

crontab -e
2 (for nano)
at bottom of newly created file, insert:

@reboot /usr/bin/darkcoind  to start masternode (or wherever you have your executable

Also, for some reason, the instance I did not reboot, I was able to update bash with sudo apt-get install bash and I now have the latest, but the instance I rebooted won't update.  It says I already have the latest, even after sudo apt-get updates.  So... maybe they pulled the repository (probably working on it still)  I guess we'll all just have to keep checking to be sure we get the latest updates!?!

It's interesting to see the muted market response. DRK is fluctuating, but not as volatile as any of the other coins ranked within 10 positions by market cap. It's even more stable than BTC... Even at low volume... Even with BOTed markets...
