What happened to the backwards "C" in your sig? You inspired me to start that, and then you abandon it? I'm not impressed...  Tongue

One of my devices couldn't show up the font.

I'm still waiting for you to find someone that can create a new font  Tongue

But on many devices, your sig looks slick and carries the brand values 100%
Oh, that makes sense. I'm totally running with that angle, though, in my PR! It is brilliant.

Working my way down from the market cap Ripple, Stellar, Bytecoin and Paycoin. Most of these are completely pre-mined with the exception of Bytecoin which had a massive hidden pre-mine. I am not saying these are all bad projects, though in terms of fairness of the initial distribution these are all much worse then DASH. Sorry to point my finger at these other coins, you did ask for this information though. Smiley

Yes I agree. Ripple, Stellar, Bytecoin and Paycoin are orders of magnitude worse than DASH when it comers to the fairness of the initial distribution.

It's still not clear why Monero promised an emission curve that closely matched bitcoin, then without notice actually released an emission rate that was almost the exact opposite. Something like 80% pumped out in the first 4 years. People down the line won't be that impressed. But that's off topic. Sorry, everyone.

Sideshow clowns, this is the real world where real investors pay attention, not this little walled forum filled with people that have delusions of grandeur.

There is a real world out there, and you don't make one iota of difference to the people I talk with on a daily basis. Unless you do this for some perverted pleasure, you're wasting your time.

Except, Tao, that I don't know anything about coding, and although I could basically see what's happening in the code....sometimes.... I'm glad there are people out there reviewing it and asking questions.  Without such people, there is no point to being open sourced.  Though I'm always amazed when Evan drops in to answer a question!  He must have little mice here to alert him or something, LOL.  I'm not one of 'em at the moment, LOL.

So anyway, honestly, even if the reason they're combing through the code is to find fault and even if they were aggressive about it, I'm really glad they're there.  They may even find a problem, which I have no doubt Evan could fix quickly.  It's super great to have such people.  They help the coin!  Smiley

So thank you very much industrialcoinmagic!

Right you are! I'm all for real problems that are objectively brought up. Although the "problems" they find are usually blown out of proportion by our resident trolls, and those were the ones I was referring to in that post. I was pointing out that there is a big world out there totally beyond their sphere of influence, where most people make the important decisions.

Yes, IceBreaker, the dev. How's that devving going IceBreaker? You dev up some dev recently?
Are you another sideshow clown? I'm not referring to the head clown, I'm referring to these two:

I was holding off on dropping a new Windows wallet build until I could include the escrow manager.  If you want a build sooner let me know, I can do one with the I2P stuff.  The code is already up in github.

The issue with darksend is that there is a hardcoded collateral address in there, which I find a little scary.  I want to look at it and evaluate it before making that stuff visible in the UI again.

jase there are a couple of ways to achieve connection encryption like that.  We use something like that under the hood for the escrow orchestration and market infrastructure.

Glad other devs are finally addressing this, havent really ever seen it be discussed. There is some very sketchy stuff going on in the depths of the darksend code, I suggest all you investors dive deeper and take a look
I'll give you one more chance to stay off my ignore list...

I'm assuming we're referring to addresses:

Xq19GqFvajRrEdDHYRKGYjTsQfpV5jyipF
y1EZuxhhNMAUofTBEeLqGE1bJrpC2TWRNp

With the first not having activity since July 31, 2014 and the latter with no activity. I could be wrong, but these could be part of the legacy DS before all collateral and fees went to the network.

If you're referring to something else, I'd love to know where.

It used to be used for DS collateral transactions, but I thought it was a better idea to pay collateral to the miners in the form of a transaction fee. I didn't remove the actual key though, because it's used to check masternode inputs to make sure they're valid.

Here's the only two places it's referenced in the code currently:
https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/master/src/masternode.cpp#L265
https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/master/src/masternodeman.cpp#L674

Once those two references are fixed, it can be completely removed.
Once again, a perfectly valid explanation by a respected dev of an overblown issue courtesy of the sideshow clowns...

Bitcoin's looking like it's starting to break the trend of 2014 and early 2015.

THe 1-week chart's put in quite some green candle.

This would be nice to see, for all of crypto.

Is this a start of a new trend, a higher BTC-e price than the others?

Hello Monero community.

I've refrained from posting about this issue here, but now that I see that this bickering has caused you to lose a major investor, I've got to say my piece.

Granted, I am a Dash investor, but I am one of the more moderate posters in our community. I occasionally tweet about other coin's news, and I pride myself on having an open mind. You will not see me trolling in another coin's forum.

I hope that we can all agree that this type of behaviour is ultimately self-defeating. I have a vested interest, not only in Dash, but also in the greater crypto community. This is the same kind of thing that caused the Dogecoin dev to leave crypto, and quite frankly, makes the whole crypto community look childish at best.

Please, end this now. This has been going on for weeks, and has anyone gained? Dash is losing value slowly, and Monero is plummeting. I think we can all agree that this campaign by a few is not having the desired effect.

Is Dash perfect? Absolutely not. Is Monero perfect? Absolutely not.

Let's respect each other. Just like there is Pepsi and Coke, and Apple and Samsung, there is room for more than one crypto in the future.

Let's use our time going forward to add value to our own cryptos, rather than trying to cut each other down. No one wins that battle, everyone loses.

Maybe then, we will win back lost investors.

I get what you're saying, but at the time of posting, no mention had been made of anyone doing anything at all. Sometimes you need to let them know you're out there, and you're not going to put up with their BS. If they are not going to do their due diligence and let some obviously biased trolls sway them into labelling a coin falsely, they need to be called out on it. You guys know that's my style. I cut to the chase. Tao being Tao!

Cheers.

Retweeted plus commented that I don't blame them because I guess they got trolled bigtime.  No harm though, it's a big mistake and they made it - pre-mine means some of the mining wasn't decentralized or open to the market, it' not rocket science...the core team in question i trying now to get CMC to change their definition of 'premine' to include 'instamine' so both Dash and Bytecoin (wtf) can have a single mark to mean "both scams!!!" so Monero can be the only 'anon coin' (they didn't get the memo that 2014 is about *instant* anon coins) - CMC need to fix their sh*t, not cool when one well-known troll group get any mileage doing this...premine lol (although i'm pretty sure this will be fixed soon....)
Yes, I hope so. Thanks for the RT, and I agree that it is a minor deal if it gets fixed in a timely manner.

Tao you need to be more careful with this kind of thing, this can be resolved as a mere misunderstanding as their admin has been offline since he acted prematurely and we are seeking an official answer. But this does not help, we need to be more prudent please and a little patient as everyone is in different time zones.
