Why are you so worried about getting banned? Have you done something that is worth banning for? Anyway, forums are made for discussion so if you are an expert of mining cryptocurrency, you can just post there continuously because that's what you want and you create topics for the community as well. There's nothing wrong with that.
2662  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Cryptocurrency a Good Investment? on: June 23, 2021, 04:07:57 PM
It will always be good to spread out and increase your investment diversification with different assets like cryptocurrency, especially if you don't have that yet. It's a great deal to have crypto, but first, you should not expect to profit early and invest a significant amount in crypto if you are not willing to lose it. Many people have been burned towards that, and it's sad to see them hate BTC or crypto in general because they didn't do the right thing to research.

The coins you mentioned are in the top currency in CMC. I think those are great picks as well.
2663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many great things are banned, censored or restricted in China. If China wants to on: June 23, 2021, 05:12:02 AM
I believe their mindset is at "if they can do it, we can too," so instead of utilizing another service like Google or any other social media platform out there, they would create their own and focus on that if they are not that open towards having that type of collaboration with neighboring countries or even those helpful to them in economics.

They are a force to be reckoned with. That's why I believe they can do those things without anybody's help.

2665  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Possibly exposed email data from hacks/leaks being used to register in Coinlist? on: June 23, 2021, 03:36:55 AM
I've never experienced anything like that and haven't registered on coinlist at all and some email checks don't show any incoming messages about this, but I've seen the same thing as you before, received an email from the coinlist and told me to verify it even though the person concerned has never registered and is asking the group on Facebook, but there are those who suggest not verifying if you have never done anything that is feared there will be phishing that continues to spread through many media.
If there is a data leak, I still don't get clear info about this.
Thanks for sharing this. I wasn't aware if there are any other people who had this experience as well. The connection still seems bleak but there could be a connection with regards to where they got the information.

Email spoofing makes it possible for scammers to use the exact display name and email address so this may not be coinlist at all. Copy the link and paste it to URL redirect checkers (e.g. https://wheregoes.com/) to see if it redirect to something else.
I never knew there's a tool like that. Thanks for sharing this. I did check it and it is Coin list, so I think it's safe to cross that out that it's not a spoofing method.

Otherwise, they could be checking if you have an account there to see whether it's a brute force candidate or not. Make sure tied important accounts have strong passwords and if possible enable 2fa too. They could be doing the same thing with other websites, who knows one day they might hit a website which you have an actual account.
This is my theory too. I do have strong passwords and don't have the same passwords on different sites. I think this has reassured me that I'm still safe.
2666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is moving mining out of China a bad thing? on: June 23, 2021, 03:08:41 AM
It would affect all the users of BTC if the hash rate drops. It would likely result in an increase in fee when that happens and it would be logistically hard to do as well. A lot of people have set up their mining farm there and they aren't going to move that easily and it's not going to be easy to stop them as well. If you are one of the miners, I doubt you would want to move where you have set up already.
2667  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Possibly exposed email data from hacks/leaks being used to register in Coinlist? on: June 22, 2021, 04:44:17 PM
There could be some, but it heavily depends on what sort of data was included in the data breach...
- Most of the time, it's not a big issue since it's probably just usernames or emails, but if it includes passwords, credit card details, home addresses, and similar stuff, then you should definitely do something quickly.
That's the worst case scenario but I guess it wouldn't be that hard to prove that I was fraud or something. I'm actually hoping that the verification that websites do, does it job and verify that I didn't do anything about it, or register in the site.

Anyway, thanks for your inputs on this one. This is weird for me because I'm paranoid with this lol.
2668  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Possibly exposed email data from hacks/leaks being used to register in Coinlist? on: June 22, 2021, 03:33:18 PM
Just finished checking my emails and luckily, there was no such a thing on my end.
Good for you. It's quite nervewracking to think that it's being used though. I mean, is there any consequence to that if I didn't do anything about it?

You might want to check that email through a service like "have I been pwned?" and see what type of result you'll get [just to be sure].
I have notifications about it once it detects something. I also have a dark web monitoring thing with my password manager and the most recent one is not cryptocurrency-related. The last occurrence that is crypto-related is from Ledger, last 2020.
2669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding and taking profits on: June 22, 2021, 03:20:47 PM
Where is the expertise on this? I don't think you need to be an expert to be profitable or getting greedy. It's just a missed opportunity, and you need to look at the bright side and see if you have done the right things for the market right now. Everyone now smells fear and doesn't want to buy in because of the current situation. The fear that everyone feels is real, but those who are rational and feel like they know what they are doing are the ones who win with the profit situation.

Back to the point of the topic. This is probably one of the dilemmas that traders and hodlers face every day, but those who know when to hedge and when to hodl are the real winners.

Then let's get some facts. Most investments and assets grow in time, and that's especially true towards stocks and assets. It's just that we are focusing on the short-term and forget what the long-term is holding for us. I think this is the case in the long run. We will always reach higher highs, and we should be aware of when it's happening.

For me, it's better to be both and take advantage of the market. (not financial advice lol)
2670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China's regulatory measures are becoming stricter on: June 22, 2021, 02:44:58 PM
I wasn't aware until now about this. Is there something relevant to the decline of BTC prices today? Everything is a disaster right now because of this. After BTC reaching $29k, I think it's helpful to be prepared with this kind of happening, and knowing what to do will be beneficial for us. IIRC, China has banned cryptocurrency multiple times, right? Or it's just a ploy to get more BTC? Lol.
2671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Michael Saylor owns 0,5% of Bitcoin Supply on: June 22, 2021, 01:07:49 PM
There would always be someone who has the majority of something. That's what life is and we cannot compare those who have been here earlier or the ones who have the capacity to buy a lot of it. The real problem here is not everyone is getting the opportunity that BTC holders have and some cons that transacting with BTC is expensive right now.

i know that here we have some of the Bitcoin holders since 2013 but that doesn't change the real problem, Bitcoin is a millonaries game right now, retail investors can't do a shit about that.
What should retail investors do BTW? What do you mean by that?
2672  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Possibly exposed email data from hacks/leaks being used to register in Coinlist? on: June 22, 2021, 10:31:59 AM
Just try to remember very well if you have used the email before on any website that can lead to phishing attempt. I have never heard about this before, but the best you can do now is to deactivate the email which you know its login details has been exposed another person. Likely you have used the email on some sites before that can lead to phishing, and hackers were able to access the details for login later. This should not pose a concern anymore after you have deactivated it. We really need to be mindful of the site we are filling in emails.
I doubt I had input this email in any phishing site. It's probably caused by the hacks like the Ledger leakage or something. I'm not sure but this email is not that connected much with sites but oh well. I shouldn't just click the verify and they don't have a link to which I'm not the user that register though.
2673  Economy / Scam Accusations / Possibly exposed email data from hacks/leaks being used to register in Coinlist? on: June 22, 2021, 08:09:25 AM
I have recently received an email saying that I have registered in Coinlist.co and it's from the legitimate email they are using. I did compare it towards the actual email in which I verified it, and it's the same. But the email that is used there was exposed with data leaks. That's why I'm concerned with this because it's being used for registration that I didn't do.

Has anybody experienced the same thing recently?
2674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global adoption — A ridiculous term on: June 22, 2021, 07:58:04 AM
This topic made me think about how much every person benefits when they are the first to establish or acquire it. I guess it's the same for everything. When a person develops or builds a company, it could go the same route. Many people use it, and they could go public and be speculated by people about their value. It's always going to be centralized somehow, and you cannot go and justify being equal because they did the hard work initially. They usually deserve it.

With the part of global adoption, it's going to make it even more scarce. Increase in value, essentially. I guess the better word for that is "selfish." Self increase in wealth in which almost everyone in the world wants.
2675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about Monero from a Bitcoin maxi on: June 22, 2021, 06:55:37 AM
I think the degree of technicality of transacting it is what makes it hard to adopt everyone. Of course, every coin has its pros and cons about its features, but usually, it's always the use case of the coin being accepted by everyone, making it a use case crypto. The only sad thing about BTC is the fees, but it's being worked on. Specifically for Monero, it's not going to fail, like all the OG coins. Comparing to all the meme coins that are popping up, it's not going to be like that.
2676  Other / Archival / Re: Are shorts much easier for speculative trading? on: June 22, 2021, 06:35:18 AM
If I were to choose a Long or Short position, I believe the basis for me is that I check on a higher timeframe to make sure the trend is your friend, as they say. Going with the direction is efficient in terms of having winning trades. The PnL ratio that I had is good with it and primarily focused on a single pair.

The majority of my trades this month are short positions, and I'm still profitable.
2677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Auto Deduct System on: June 22, 2021, 01:00:51 AM
Wouldn't you just lose everything on that wallet? It depends on the game that you are playing. Dice games are a bad idea. If it's in a lottery, it's good because every time you deposit something, you automatically buy a ticket. You would really have to be freaking lucky to win in that game though but if you are just willing to lose money on it, why not right?
2678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's now the good time to buy some $MEME when SHIBA lsited on coinlist? on: June 21, 2021, 03:32:15 PM
Even if you buy the most updated ones, the time of meme investing could be up to a halt already. Most of the upcoming coins focused on being a meme coin are not being invested on or probably finished the scheme they have, pump and dump. It's just that you have to be available at the start to make the most out of your investment in those types of coins.

I hope next time you find something worth investing in, like what Coinlist offers to its members.
2679  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it possible to lose all your money invested Bitcoin in 2021? on: June 21, 2021, 03:23:41 PM
Unless you are trading futures markets that could liquidate all your assets and your portfolio, it's not possible. You could be wiped out of ~80% of the portfolio value if you don't take stop losses or hedge with the right asset, but it's technically hard to lose everything in the spot market.

I don't think there's anything valuable information that can be given to you that you don't already know. It's common knowledge already.
2680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are all the celebrities promoting this new PABLOINU coin? on: June 21, 2021, 02:51:02 PM
That's just going to be another pump and dump scheme to take investors' money and they could run away with it. It's sad that those that are promoting it are not being held to their responsibility upon instilling what they think is a great investment. That's why I always take it with a grain of salt to be careful in what I invest in. Anyway, it's just a combination of probably Pablo Escobar? and Shiba Inu?

I just visited their site and I was correct. It's just that meme aspect of the coin lol. To the moon? Shocked
