Don't forget your picks!
Guardiola gave a statement yesterday saying that City medical service is to thank for Haaland being able to play every match. Then he added that he will be rotated for sure at some games. On the other hand I am sure he is chasing many records and wants to continue.

Will be making my picks later today, club football gives us so much more than national games. Really spoiled for choices.

Ah, so all this while Dortmund's medical team were the ones who were at fault for not helping Haaland to play all season? For me that's always good news when players who are known to be injured all the time suddenly find a way to be fit again. I wish even there would be some type of network that allowed clubs to use each other's medical facilities to get all players healthy.

Imagine you play for low leagues and get injured, so what are they supposed to just be injured because they have no good docs?

Anyway, I'm so happy for Champions League!

It is good when we are participating in different pools, this way we are never bored during the weekend and also midweek days when usually the Champions League is.I think it is to early to put the predictions,I will do so tomorrow near the start of the games as I need to know a lot more information regarding each team, players, injuries and alike before making my picks. Not that by doing so gives me an advantage because I am doing poorly so far in the pool but at a psychological level it sure helps me a lot in instilling self confidence to do better in the pool.

Indeed my friend I feel like my life is happier even with all this football, and imagine, I am not even watching most of them but waking up and watching replays later feels good in my own world, too. Plus with Champions League I do try to stay up for Barca, however if they lose then I have a bad day and zombie eyes lol

Good luck to you, we can all do better.
2662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 04, 2022, 07:32:59 AM
Leicester clean sheet, amazing!

On inplay, the only option I consider is HT under 1.2 or 2.5.
@10 and most of the time @1.15 odds for English Premier League games, then HT 0.5 for Championship games, but it's a waste of time; the best thing to do now is ignore Liverpool.

HBP; High blood pressure.   Grin

Ah lol high blood pressure got it. Here we just say "tension" it's like a favorite word to cover football stress, and second favorite word is "frus" to mean frustrated, which I guess is common for most teams except City.

Seems to me betting live is good odds for when comeback teams go down goals like City and Liverpool (though this season Liverpool only came back once to win so far).
2663  Other / Archival / Re: Don't worry, bitcoin is cyclical on: October 04, 2022, 05:54:38 AM
Definitely I think you're missing at least one other type of "investor". There is also the speculator who thinks he's investing but really he is gambling. Unfortunately I believe this to be the biggest portion of everyone active in this space.

It may seem as if there is irony, hypocrisy and various internal contradictions with other members that appears to be gambling rather than investing and telling others to do something different from what they are doing, yet the situation of people are different.

Each of us should be attempting to tailor our bitcoin investment approach to our own circumstances, and actual view of bitcoin's anticipated price performance as compared to where it is at is ONLY one of the factors, and may well not be a big factor in terms of inabilities to really assess it in the short-term anyhow, so in that regard, the other factors become much more important.. and maybe I should just list them out in order to be more specific to my references.

Individual considerations include but are not limited to cashflow, other investments, view of bitcoin as compared with other investments, timeline, risk tolerance, and time, skills, goals (investment/lifestyle targets) and abilities to strategize, plan, research and learn along the way including tweaking strategies from time to time to consider trading, reallocating, use of leverage and/or financial instruments.

Accordingly, if I have been into bitcoin for nearly 9 years, and I spent my first 1-3 years building my bitcoin position, then I have way more flexibility than a newbie because my average cost per BTC may well be below $1k, so even if the BTC price drops from $69k to $19.5k, I could be telling the newbie to be buying the whole time, even though I might be buying and selling.. depending on other considerations that i have.  I am not dumping on them merely because I might be selling when I am telling them to buy.  If the newbie has no bitcoin or very little bitcoin, but s/he has a lot of value (an investment portfolio) in other assets, then it is quite likely the best thing for them to "need" to get into bitcoin, when I am either flexible or even considering that it is o.k. for me to reallocate which might even mean that I am selling at times that would be great investment prices for anyone who is either a no coiner or a low coiner.

I think that part of the reason that in the real world, I am almost always giving similar advice (to the extent that I would concede it to be advice) to no coiners/low coiners no matter the BTC price is because I am frequently talking to no coiners/low coiners, and the advice is to get started and figure out how to get some kind of a BTC allocation, and then once they spend years establishing their BTC accumulation levels, then it may well (or at least should) become more clear how to manage that allocation and figure out if more allocation is needed, are they in a maintenance stage or have they moved into a liquidation stage... and we may see ourselves moving back and forth between these kinds of stages depending on our circumstances an maybe depending on how solidly we are able to build our BTC holdings in order to feel that we have flexibility in regards to what to do.. even though right now, it does not seem like a great time to be selling bitcoin, even if any of us might be in 20x to 100x profits, but we would still have more flexibility to decide whether or not to sell any at these prices if we have been in for a while and we have built our bitcoin stash in order to help to bolster our flexibilities in terms of potentially having a variety of options in terms of choosing which assets to spend from to cover our monthly expenses - whether they are discretionary expenses or not.

Thank you for taking the time to make such a comment. And yes when I read back what I said, I know I said it with some sort of malice to the guy I was responding to, which I find is something I should not be doing too much on this forum, moving toward negativity just because of conditions.

You are right that everyone does have different circumstances, and that's why the only real advice to give is to understand what your needs are, and to use Bitcoin in a way that suits your needs. And in giving true personal experiences, rather than picking up some "strategy" and commenting on it without a way to reflect from experience.

Basically, like almost anything else in life that involves financial risk Smiley

I definitely agree that for newbies we can't be telling them to buy all the time UNLESS we have also to give them perspective (and buying all the time is not same as dumping every spare money into BTC), in fact, if people really push me for advice, it's the same principles. Don't invest what you will miss. Think of it as many years of waiting and a test, to wait 5 years at least so you are not a newbie and can make up your mind better. Don't lose your day job, meaning, don't waste time trading and figuring out market.

Sorry about missing your bet buway, but Real are like Liverpool, even if they drop points, losing is quite impossible to happen at home!

Real Madrid lost first points at home right ? As this is the first draw for them in LaLiga.  Shocked
Not just lost points in ordinary way, Real had a late penalty and Benzema managed to miss it. Too make things even worse they had numbers advantage that last 15 minutes as well.

Sociedad was the match of the day in Spain for sure, never would have thought there is any chance for more then 2 goals on that game. If we take into account all the leagues, Manchester derby was a bit better, higher profile of clubs made it my to go match and it didn't disappoint.

It's even more amazing for the circumstances of that game for sure! I was just mentioning yesterday we had such a good goal difference, and usually when I hope for Real to drop points, the outcome goes against it, at home too, and against Osasuna of all teams.

I have not been happy like this in La Liga for such a long time. I know it won't last but we can all dream Smiley

We are all spoiled, after weekend of crazy games we get to see more games in Champions League! I am specifically going to bet on Haaland hattrick again because now he has to make records fall while he is fit, right?

Don't forget your picks!

I am quite sure I am missing info for 2018 or somewhere around that for one more extension. Did not have the will to spend more then 2 minutes searching Smiley Pattern is clear, he gets new contract every time he gets in the last year of previous one, as it should be.

I didn't see this until very late and trust me, Real Madrid are not the type of club to not give extensions to the players that perform, even they are not to the level of my club Barca (sad to say this) at the way they mistreat their players! So definitely igehh giving wrong information it seems he gives a lot of weird news all over the place, bad sources? lol

Can't believe I only managed to get 1 exact score this round, but somehow managed to stay in position, 11th, although of course with a rather small group it was not possible to move around a lot with many scores more or less expected except Monza scoring so many, who would knew that right?

Juventus also finally managed to win comfortable, what's wrong with them this season?

2668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 03, 2022, 06:01:00 AM
Liverpool didn't and that is enough to destroy a lot of points.I think Arsenal ended like predicted and I got a close result there together with West Ham which also got as expected, then in the end I got Chelsea correct score.I was expecting a Brentford win which it didn't come and also a draw in the Southampton game.So yes most likely half of the games ended like expected from the strong ones well except Liverpool which besides losing points to many in the pool I am sure has also ruined many bets that people had made on them.

Liverpool are now Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs. Do not trust them, do not put them on your tickets, or at least bet against them.

Any team playing them to score first seems to be amazing value this season too Wink

I'm not even close. being content, man! I lost $50 because of that game, I added Loserpool to my acca to increase the odds of my perfect four fold of Arsenal, Chelsea, AC Milan, and Loserpool for the weekend, I had to endure the agony of both Loserpool and Chelsea losing at the same time, equalized at the same time, Loserpool went ahead with 3-2, then I had my mindset on Chelsea to get the winner and then boom! Loserpool conceded again immediately after Chelsea scored the winner. Angry Loserpool are so bad, Loserpool fans must be going through hell, I had HBP cheering for them for 90 minutes.

Live betting does seem to be great for Liverpool though, they have been either winning or drawing from losing positions, according to some article from last season they have been the team to get the most points after going behind first in all leagues!

What's HBP? Smiley
2669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: October 02, 2022, 12:47:21 PM
I just realized we have a very good goal and defence, but the best was to keep a clean sheet, maybe only now to work on our bookings as we still ended up getting 4 yellows last night (I did expect many as usual).

Now Valencia is the one keeping us on track for another 0-0 game lol.

I don't think Barca will have an easy game tonight. They have lot of injuries: Depay, De Jon, Kounde, Araujo, Bellerin..... and most of their players were away for national duty. On the other hand, we have Mallorca that has been in training these whole 15 days preparing just for this match.

Yeah it didn't turn out easy even though Lewandowski scored early. But I'm happy for the win anyway, and can still hope as a dumb guy for Real to also drop points Wink

Strange to see so much comment about my single hand lol.

My assumption was right. Lol, I will do the same as yours if that is really the case. It's normal that it will receive comment because we are assuming only your real situation to apply the Blackjack standard hand table. It will surely create an argument if someone assume the other way around like what you see on the previous comment.  Cheesy

I just finish yesterday securing my loyalty level. I was planning to do the wager with the weekly promo but it seems that @Joel is still not finish the transitioning of work.

Yeah, I know, but strange to see so much comments anyway, it's end of the day a very regular bet, wasn't even for a big amount, I'd expect many others to have more serious "big bets" lol but anyway, I'm looking forward to the next wager promo too, I also have a few other things to look at for my new account (like the cashbacks) and it's already October!

igehhh must be really happy his team took all 3 points, while Liverpool supporters will be unhappy they lost 2 points in the final times. I couldn't watch any matches at all, I saw a bit of the Arsenal one as it was dinner break watching, but I think we can safely say that half of yesterday's games went as expected?

Saints destroyed me for sure Sad

I don't know why people keep letting themselves get disappointed Smiley

That's just one part of the equation, you let your self disappointed in this market, and if so, what will be your plan B? for sure there's none for them. They are going to be disappointed though, as the market is going to fall because of the world recession, not just us, but other markets like stocks, which shows that we are interconnected after all. So once those investors got disappointed, they can't just say that they will shift to others because everything is going down.

I don't know but most traders I come across, or rather I would say close to all of them, they all think they have Plan B but none of them really want to seriously think about it. It's as if they enter markets, with full knowledge that majority of people lose money (regardless bull or bear) and then they still get surprised when they become part of the majority.

Trading without stops, without limits, it's all a sign of no real thought for Plan B.

So not even a single person went for a draw. Can't believe I thought it was going to be a close one, so I only put 1 goal win, then they of course went to go 4 goals. Had a feeling for a lot of goals in other games but that was a sign for things this weekend I guess? Let's hope so Wink

Can't share bet right for Betbuilder and can't access imgur so my Betbuilder is Barca leading HT/FT, win by 2+goal, over 3.5 corner, both teams over 19.5 booking points Smiley = 5.55 exactly!

Man I'm not sure if I'm the crazy one or OP is. I also looked up the game and it's just a 2D game shoot them up. Developer is InterAction.

Why would a casino publish a game that doesn't have any betting element on it? I know in the past some casinos designed their own games, and you collect points to convert into cash, but... asking why casinos don't have chicken invaders is like asking why they don't have Pacman or Call of Duty.

Exactly. There are websites for those kind of games.

"Damn, I just lost $1,000. Perhaps I should play Chicken Invaders to feel better."

Lol yeah that's sort of what through my head yesterday thinking of this. Gambling guy wants to play funny game. Usually I feel way too sad/down/angry to be even thinking of surfing memes or fun. But whatever, anyway, I really think the gambling section of the forum has become even weirder than the altcoin sections nowadays.

Lots of amazing posts, but lots of terrible shitty ones too.

Hey Flavio, I hope that you enjoyed the time as much as we all did, I only managed to come here towards the later end of your time but still had a lot of fun. Hope to still see you around, maybe make an account and join Bitcointalk personally Smiley

And of course we welcome Joel here, better, higher, further, as they always say right?

It depends on the faced up card of the dealer if you will double down on soft 17 or not. Remember that Slaman didn't mention the faced up card of the dealer and you just assumed it was small. I'm assuming that dealer faced up card was 7 to 9 when I made the comment above since Slaman still hit at soft 17. Slaman provides only the data that the dealer total card was 11 and when the dealer hits 6 to make 17 which means there's a chance that dealer faced up card is around 7,8,9 too and not only 6 below that's why I'm checking this info to him on my above post.

Yup, Face Up was a high card, which was higher than my 17. And I felt it would be lousy feeling to lose with an Ace, I'm not sure what the dealer card was now but either 8 or 9. I would have stood if it was 7.

Strange to see so much comment about my single hand lol.

2679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educating people on Bitcoin for free on: September 30, 2022, 08:32:52 AM
Educating ordinary people to be more familiar with cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin can increase people's interest in using crypto, they will not hesitate to make Bitcoin a long-term investment asset because its value is increasing from year to year. Another reason that drives people's interest in Bitcoin is because it was initially introduced to the public without value, now Bitcoin has a fantastic value and is the target of many investors.

Dudes like you just keep posting all kinds of nonsense, you're not helping people at all. Awareness and education is not about to make them "not hesitate to make Bitcoin a long-term investment"... especially if you're saying the value increases from year to year. It clearly does not, it clearly has not. From 2017 to 2018 to 2019 it went down.

Education is about moving away from investment and speculation and understanding the true value and lifechanging possibilities of Bitcoin.

So maybe before we go forth and educate we need to learn ourselves?
Lol, are you sure of what you just said, there's no way El Salvador would adopt bitcoin if there wasn't a growth in value. Now let's look at the price of bitcoin when it was introduced and compare it to the price of 2022, don't you think that's an increase.

2017, 2018, 2019 Bitcoin experienced a very sad period, after what happened, Bitcoin was able to break through a new ATH. I think you need to re-examine the flow of bitcoin journey from its first introduction until 2022. Only then will you draw conclusions on my post, is it nonsense or not.

Dude I'm 100% sure of what I said. Check what you said: year after year price goes up = wrong. Price does appreciate over the LONG TERM, but long term means many years, not annually. You need to reexamine what you wrote, if you think education and accuracy is important.

And you really thought El Salvador adopted Bitcoin? Lol Just because a dictator who abuses humans rights and murders his own people, but sits on the toilet Tweeting out that he bought Bitcoin with his people's money, doesn't make El Salvador an amazing Bitcoin paradise. When your own people are protesting, and had no choice in choosing Bitcoin but are forced to use some corporate wallet etc., that's something seriously wrong.

Yeah, the technology is far more important than the price itself but unfortunately, most people think bitcoin in terms of price and how they can make money out it.
No one really cares about the blockchain technology behind the crypto and all this stuff. People are more interested to know which year would be the possible next bull run  Huh

That's why I think education is much more than price. And in fact not even about technology... I talked about possibilities, how to change things in your life, what new windows open for you using Bitcoin, that's all.

See what I mean about real education and awareness? If you educate people about Bitcoin, they're not going to fall over buying BTC blindly just because El Salvador dictator did.

Haha nice going on Spain slam, and don't forget we resume league action this Friday, I'd put all my picks in and worry about them later. Meanwhile, El Clasico's confirmed for 16 October, a packed month for Barca (9 games), Real looking like to postpone their 30th Oct game.

Injuries though, so either they're a good club to make money on next month if they get inspired to do a clean sweep, or they collapse.
And there is no good news for Barcelona. During this break Araujo, Depay, De Jong and Kounde got injured. This is why I don't like international breaks. Getting injuries in meaningless friendly game.. And when we have such intensive October, worst timing.

Yeah, but we're used to getting injuries anyway I guess, Depay actually has been on and off our team but I'm not worried as we actually still have a good hit man at the front, even though I wish we found something to be able to keep Aubameyeng.

Araujo bad news is surgery, you never know what's recovery from that.

Players bodies just never get the time to cool off.
