2681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: tax on the bitcoin in USD on: July 27, 2017, 02:36:38 PM
Hello
Is there a tax on the bitcoin or any new law that entered  regarding tax on selling and buying bitcoin? ( if i have profit )
Or as a Miner is there a tax?

thank you for your help!

it depends on your country mate, some have tax other not, but if you sell and have a capital gain you must pay in any country afaik, for mining if you don't sell your bitcoin or altcoin, you don't pay anything but otherwise you pay tax on your income
2682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Manual mining possible??? on: July 26, 2017, 02:59:01 PM
there is no need of HI speed internet
Can you guide me please??? My friend told me that mining needs high speed.I am new to cryptocurrency world.

We're not completely sure what you mean by "Manual mining," either.

I mean mining without any hardware etc.

no lol it's stupid and will never work, because you need tons of people to make it somehow on the same speed on the lowest cpu, while using many people to do it that need to be paid, which will cost you more than the electricity to run a single rig or more than one rig, just buy a used gpu
2683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins with low market cap + active development? on: July 26, 2017, 02:57:42 PM
Hey Team,

What are your sleeper pick coins? For example a coin with under 2M market cap, but with active development + community?

I like hush (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/hush/). They are building a secure messaging system on blockchain + have very active development.

Which coins in this category are you excited about?

machiencoin is one, and the new skunk hash algo coin, named signatum is good,t he dev is very active and the roadmap is good, it's still new the value isn't that high but it has big potential
2684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoin are you holding for Aug 1 on: July 26, 2017, 02:56:11 PM
rain condensate and netko, are good altcoin, because they have strong pos, and people like free money so they are buying them like crazy, inf act they are among the few coins that increased their value when allt he other were dumped, i'm also holding nexus and spreadcoin, because spreadcoin have the free HLM swap
2685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BURST vs STORJ on: July 26, 2017, 02:55:05 PM
stay away from burst. its flawed and can be exploited via NXT exploits.
there is no scalability of the network, and all the people who had any technical understanding and capability had left the project.
the community is split apart and this coin is slowly dying.

id say go for sia and storj/maidsafe

sia can not be mined with hdd though, it's a gpu coin, despite being used for storage, so your suggestion doesn't make sense, and storj works with cloud storage, burst is still not bad for pure profit without looking at the project, you can earn something with a few TB
2686  Other / Meta / Re: Countries that banned bitcointalk.org on: July 26, 2017, 02:51:20 PM
I saw a post from reddit that bitcointalk is banned in China. Are there other countries that banned this famous bitcoin forum? Also, what are the reasons for banning it?

are you sure? what is your source, and if it's true how it's possible that we have a chinese section then lol?, china is not banning bitcointalk, they can freerly use it, or maybe they are bypassing the banning with vps, someone must be wrong here
2687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can money lose with Bitcoin?? on: July 26, 2017, 02:49:46 PM
Money is Rothschild and Bitcoin is Satoshi Nakamoto...Bitcoin will be a future money and how about cash???will people use cash at future time???

i don't think so, perhaps in small country, but fiat can not lose against bitcoin, because the government will print forever their scam, bitcoin will work good as a side revenue for the government, nd help people to choose more option
2688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What happen to mining profitability? on: July 25, 2017, 03:01:58 PM

i think not only about difficult, but also about the value, that was dumped on all altcoin, because of bitcoin chain split or hard fork, diff is indeed higher, because now even kids and their mother are mining, but the investors dumped a lot of money to take profit
2689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1070 vs 580 on: July 25, 2017, 02:59:46 PM
I have the option to get 1070 Founders Edition for around 400-450€ while 580s are sold out everywhere. Does someone know if 1070 is equally good or better in terms of price/performance. Looking to build 6xGPU rig fow now.

Also, what about other coins (not ETH) and dual mining? Any cons here in regards to 1070 vs 580?

nvidia is better now, because of two things, amd have a clearly disadvantage because they can mine few algo very good, and on the other they are bad, also their new cards hash 30% less thant he old one on ETH, nvidia is better generally at new launched coin like signatum
2690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do Altcoins not gain when BTC lose ground ? on: July 25, 2017, 02:58:20 PM
This is something i cant understand. Why do coins seem to follow BTC price. Look at ETH ,Ripple most coins move according to BTC. One would think if the trading pair doing worse a coin would get stronger ,but its not the case. Seems fake

because if they dump bitcoin they want fiat, so why they should buy altcoin? it seems stupid to me, because when i dump bitcoin i want to exit crypto momentarily, and buying altcoin, is only possible with bitcoin, and if i don't have bitcoin because i dumped them i can not buy altcoin
2691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: July 25, 2017, 02:56:46 PM
Where is airdrop rules?

It's not actual airdrop. If you hold bitcoin on 1st august you will get equal amount of bitcoin cash if you hold your private keys.

but how can i transfer my btc cash to sell on exchange without transferring also my real btc? because if i put both wallet in two different client, i woudl get bitcoin and bitcoin cash right? same amount, but then if you do a transaction, the coins vanish from both party, so you also move your original bitcoin

When you will have private keys of wallet after 1st Aug. You can import those keys in BTC Cash wallet and you will get equal amount of btc you hold 1st August.

Before you import keys in BTC Cash wallet be sure that you moved your BTC from  wallet so there is no risk involved.
Yeah. Sure. I totally will give a BCC wallet access to my BTC (!) private keys.

Oh, sorry, there was a "bug" in the BCC wallet. Sorry, all your BTC or gone now!

Can't you read or you just want to spread fud. I clearly written move your bitcoin before import your private keys in BTC Cash wallet.
Better learn to read before write.
Yeah. Sure. I totally install a BCC wallet, a wallet developed by BTC haters on my computer. That surely will be safe. Not.

Are you sure you are in bitcoin since long time. Don't you know how and where download wallet if there is even little doubt.
Just buy VPS in 3-5$ and install wallet there and import keys and move your BTC Cash to exchange and delete VPS.
I don't trust my keys on a VPS either.

If you don't trust anything then why you are wasting your time here just ignore Bitcoin cash and move on.
No one forced you to split your coins. You don't need to do anything. You will have your Bitcoin happy with that.

so if i move my coin from the wallet, then i can still be able to claim the bitcoin cash? how this is work exactly? like claimcoin? where you import the wallet.dat that is empty and based on the amount you receive the reward?
2692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Paid your taxes ? on: July 25, 2017, 02:55:25 PM
no lol, there is no law that said that you must pay anything if you don't exchange your altcoin, i'm not exchanging for now and i don't need to pay, but if i need to exchange a small amount i would probably not pay either, for bigger amount it's different
2693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to create my own crypto currency? on: July 25, 2017, 02:53:24 PM
I am also interested about creating cryptocurrency. How much money we need to create normal cryptocurrency and where I can make my own pool? Also how many blocks, transaction fee,and other things connected with that cryptocurrency should be to create new potential bitcoin?

you don't need any money just some skill and patience, you need to follow some guide on how to compile and make a clone of the bitcoin and an hard fork of that, altcoin are hard fork of bitcoin or litecoin, pool the same thing, there are some guide like this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=959583.0
2694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: July 25, 2017, 02:51:31 PM
Sigt has surpassed chaincoin for #1 in volume on cryptopia.   This is just insane.

yeah but the value is not 100k satoshi like it was for chaincoin, i admit that is the peak but still 3k versus 100k lol, you can't compare, but also it must be said that chaincoin have 20M marketcap, this have 6 times bigger market, but for now the circulating coin is only 25M, chaincoin and went boom only because of masternodes

are some features coming for this coin? the dev should be really more active, it had a good start but then everything went down quickly the and the coin is dying, can you not add some feature like masternodes?
2696  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: July 25, 2017, 02:46:15 PM
probably they are preparing for the upcoming chain split/hard fork, i think many exchange will stop around 1 august to accomodate that thing, but btc-e is notorious for being an exchange that need many maintenance, i remember it was many times down
2697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcore - BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - CORE 0.14.1 -106000+ BTX Claimed on: July 24, 2017, 02:01:12 PM
If I buy BTX from an exchange can I receive 3% airdrop to an exchange account?

No, you need to have it in a bitcore wallet to be able to get the 3%.

also keep in mind you need a minimum balance of 10btx per address

i have 125 bitcore how can i claim my 3%? is it done like the last time by linking by bitcoin address or this si a different thing of airdrop?

Do you keep your coins on your local wallet? If so, just expect a 3% charge on your amount.
Check that the balance of your wallet is correctly displayed on the site: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx

yeah on local, but how can  i get this 3% there is no pos in bitcoin core, so who will give me that? everyone will just get it?
2698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What and how should I mine? on: July 24, 2017, 01:45:14 PM
-I have access to free electricity and a couple dozen Windows pc units. I'll post the specs at the end.
-What I want to know is, what is the easiest or most profitable cryptocurrency to mine?
-I do not have any money to buy any extra equipment or do any upgrades.
-Please point me to a guide on how to mine whatever you suggest.
SPECS.
CPU: i3-3110M 2.40GHz
Ram: 4GB
GPU: https://ribletjorb.tumblr.com/image/163358130871

you can't mine with that, to ancient, you need to buy either a 500 series from amd or the new professional gpu from amd, or a new nvidia like 1060 or 1070, 1070 si very expensive now because there is a shortage, perhaps go to 1060 or even 1050
2699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Too much overclocked? How to determine which GPU did fail? on: July 24, 2017, 01:42:18 PM
Hi,

in one of my rigs I have 1060s from different manufacturers, but all with 6GB and Samsung memory.
Now I am trying to find the correct overclocking settings for MSI Afterburner.
With following settings for all GPUs ethminer sometimes fails:

Power Limit: 65%
Core Clock: +120
Memory Clock: +750

I know from prior tests, that some of the cards can run at memory +950 without problems, so I think now, that only one or 2 specific GPUs in the rig can't run stable using the +750 setting.
Is there any way to find out which GPUs did fail, when ethminer stop working?

Then it would be easier to lower the settings for that specific cards and raise for the other, stronger cards more.

if the miner crash there is no way because all the gpu shut down, but if you can test one 1 by one you can find it easily, it should crash very quickly if it can't handle that speed
