So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?

Number one biggest tip I can give is not falling to the biggest screw over emotion of all and that is FOMO. Whether it is FOMO on the way up or FOMO on more profits and you don't sell, FOMO is the #1 culprit of all bad trades and I would advise you get a hodl of this emotion before it drains your account faster than a New York minute.
FOMO is like a sharp two edged sword and it can cut into pieces if you are not careful. I think that Bitcoin can approach this year to the mark of 27 thousand. In July, the price of 20 thousand, this is quite real.

You are absolutely right, a lot of icos are taking advantage of investors nothing to offer no prospect.Everyone knows the Ico scams happening.I think it will take a few more years for the market to stabilize when the cap is higher and equal to other financial markets like stocks and forex.
And the funniest part is that investors are not really even helping matters as they really do not give a damn about digging more on a project and the greedy nature has caused a lot of people to just invest in any project and giving the scammers the chance to see gullible ones to tap from. If I do not have confident on one project then definitely I will not engage myself into their bounty campaign. Yes, I always prefer to hold the bounty rewards for some time so that I can get the maximum benefits but this will be subject to my cash needs. If I will be having plenty of money in reserve for my needs then I will definitely will not touch bounty rewards.
