Yeah, the real gamblers knows the difference between shady places losing your money and legit places that cost you some money. Bitvest is as legit as it gets and has been around for years and there was just one mishap which is fine and could happen honestly, not a big deal for me because I know in the long run I will recover (and in profit anyway) and will continue to make a profit in the long run as well.

Not really. I still wouldn't trust 100% some places I gamble a lot at, especially the anonymous ones where there is absolutely no protection against an exit scam. I trust them, only because I've been with them long and they've honoured payments, etc. I'd even recommend them, including Bitvest. But I'd never ever say to people you can trust anyone 100%. It's just irresponsible.
Well, it is not really all that difficult to know the difference between a shady losing money and legit losing money. In one of them your money is gone, like totally gone and never coming back, look at betking for example, your money is gone if you had any on their website or if you ever invested in them, you are not getting that money back in no means at all.

However in legit places you lose some money because of some whale ending up winning, and you will get it back overtime, maybe it will take years before you can be in profit once again but that doesn't change the fact that you will make some sort of profit eventually. That is a very very clear distinction in the end, not like it will have any type of similarity between them, just because you lost some money doesn't make them similar.
1782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 24, 2020, 06:49:21 PM
Yeah, Bundesliga makes a bit more sense, I have said before that Germany wasn't having the trouble some other nations are having and if they can find a way to avoid travelling a lot (like have all teams play at one stadium for example) it would be actually fine, they do not need to travel because there will no zero viewers on the stadiums anyway so it makes no sense whose "home court" advantage it is.

Plus if they do this now, they will have a lot more time to stay at home and isolate themselves all summer, think about leagues that are not even remotely close to opening, all those players are still waiting and trying to hope they will get over with it as well while Germans will just be over with. Anyone has any idea what they will do about players who are not in Germany right now? Airlines are all closed so I don't know if any player who is not in Germany can actually come back or not.
1783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 24, 2020, 05:51:20 PM
I guess I would understand the logic though, think about it Lebron was playing with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love as his star teammates with Ty Lue as the coach versus a team of Kevin Durant Steph Curry and Klay Thompson and even Dray as a team plus Steve Kerr as the coach, when these teams are facing each other there is no need for Lebron to beat them in order to be considered best player, he carried that team all the way there and he fought really hard to beat them as well, by his last year at Cavs dude was basically too tired to make that work and gave up eventually, maybe if JR didn't do that idiotic last second thing we could have seen Lebron beasting once again, but after that he just called quits.

So, Kevin maybe wanted to the same, go to Brooklyn, get Kyrie, and if they can actually go to finals that would show the world he is as good as Lebron.
1784  Economy / Economics / Re: returning to normal on: April 24, 2020, 03:59:01 PM
Talking about human beings won’t be able to interact with each other’s as they used to do; if the virus ends today and there is no more cases being reported, does that mean that you wouldn’t hang out with your family? Hug them, kiss them, and all that? You’re going to do that, and by doing that, you’re still interacting with them and there is the possibility that they or you would shake someone else. I don’t think there is any thing that’s going to change the way people interact with each others.

Everyone is just being careful right now because the virus is still circulating and they are all trying to stay safe so they don’t get infected with the virus. So when this is over, I don’t see any changes taking place.
1785  Economy / Economics / Re: Collapse of crude oil prices on: April 24, 2020, 03:07:21 PM
This has been a huge challenge this year. But I know for sure that it’s not going to continue forever and the price of Bitcoin will not fall forever, it is just a matter of time and all these things will pass and things will get better and go back to how they used to be before now.

Oil seems to be what’s being mostly affected in this situation right now, it kept crashing and reached to the extent of what we least expected would happen. The price of reduced to a negative $37, and some people have been asking whether this is going to be having any effect on the price of bitcoin, but I don’t really believe that one.
1786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Ethereum Wallets on: April 24, 2020, 06:45:03 AM
Ledger Nano X is a very good wallet and it supports Ethereum and all other tokens on the ETH chain. That’s already choice if you’re going to be making use of it, it’s already enough. This upgrade is easy as the S ledger, and carries Bluetooth and battery, quite a good upgrade. I have used the ledger Nano S, but I would say the X is better because of the two features it has led to an increase in mobility.

I am interested in making use of the Trezor wallet, would love to know how it compares to the Ledger Nano. Atomic is a good wallet, same thing with Exodus, but I prefer Gurda, the white interface is really cool. In the case of mobile wallets you have mentioned here, I have used all except imToken wallet. As for the four I have used, Trust wallet is better for me, it has a simple interface that looks better than the others.
1787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making Cov-19 as excuses on: April 24, 2020, 06:11:21 AM
Do not be fooled, Cov-19 doesn't disturb new project from launching, few new projects are using Cov-19 to make excuse, good quality projects don't see any reason to hold because of the pandemic, any project that do this should be considered as Controlled by weak team
A team that is still new to cryptocurrency might not know what to do at this kind of time. It’s true that the cryptocurrency market has been affected in some ways by the covid-19 pandemic. Ever since it started there has been an increased difficulty for projects to raise capital. Things have changed a lot, and some businesses are finding it difficult.

I do know that a lot of people are at home now and they are all surfing the internet and looking for ways to spend time and have fun, but is investment really part of it? Investment might be, but not much, the concern for most people now is to provide for themselves and their family, unless you’re someone from a rich family. An average or poor people will find it difficult to invest any money now.
1788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just think privacy is more important with financials. on: April 23, 2020, 07:38:33 PM
For the government to be able to be able to trace you depends on the exchange that you’re making use of. If you make use of centralized exchanges to buy cryptocurrency, the government are going to know about it for sure, they are a centralized exchange and they are going to report everything that is being done on their platform to the government.

But, when you make use of a decentralized exchange I don’t see the possibilities of the government knowing what you’re up to. They can never know because they don’t control over decentralized exchanges and DEXs do not report anything to the government.
1789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has gone up the past week. on: April 23, 2020, 06:24:29 PM
It has gone up around $800, do you think they could run it up and then I would come down before January 1 before the new year. Or they will not come in to play?  I’m waiting for some money to clear to buy some. And I don’t know right now is the best time to buy
Did you still buy the coins or not? Can’t remember what the price was as at when you made this post, but I believe things are getting better, though there was a bit of challenge when the price dropped due to the Covid-19 pandemic. People were afraid to buy Bitcoin when it dropped to $3800 or so, they felt that it’s going to continue crashing. That wasn’t the case as the price later bounced back up and I’m looking forward to more growth from here.

Anyone that invests now is still not going to lose, because there is the possibility that the price will go further up and they will be able to make profit from their investment. A lot of technical analysts has been predicting a bull run, we don’t know when it’s going to be, but it will happen.
1790  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♦🎮🎲💹 NITROGEN SPORTS | Simulated Games, Poker, Casino, and more! ♦🎮🎲💹 on: April 23, 2020, 03:55:22 PM
Quite interesting to see, maybe this is a prime example of showing how the trust system could be abused in bitcointalk as well, I mean we are talking about only a handful of people putting the trust rating to test and global moderator shows up to warn people not to play here and the topic is not flagged as well as the account.

I mean this is the same place that has been running properly for over 7 years now and people are still playing there, there is no substantial proof of them stealing anyone's money, only confiscate it whenever they think there is a rule breach and even with that in mind they usually pay it back. I doubt nitro will do anything extra just because there is a flag going on, I think they are already rich enough with all of the thousands of people like me who play here without a problem, none of us would really care about this issue at all.
1791  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 23, 2020, 03:13:45 PM
^ Lol yeah, whenever a big name does something like this, it must have some sort of surge at the website as well, I didn't know roobet became so big that even the big name youtubers with 100k+ views was playing here, that is a big promotion if I have seen any.

I don't know if it was paid or not, sometimes casinos pays people money to their bankrolls to gamble there, whatever they end up winning will be kept and whatever they end up losing was basically free gambling for them anyway and the video itself would make them money anyway (considering dude probably made hundreds of dollars from just this video that ain't bad).

Or maybe it was organic and he really wanted to play himself without any promotion, I don't know how he ended up playing but I know it must have helped roobet a lot.
1792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 22, 2020, 06:34:11 PM
Technically speaking that still could work if they do the math right and not risk any injury at all. Think about it, if they start the new season at around September (early September) there is about 20 games left for each team right?

So, 60 days equals 2 months and 20 games would be 1 game on each 3 days, that’s cool enough I suppose, they could even make it a lot shorter as well. Well playoffs usually take about a month; they can even short that and make it a 5 game series to make it quicker as well.

I see this as like 2.5 months at worst 3 months thing. That puts us at November, they can take a break however much time they have left and restart on mid December. That doesn't mean they have to start the playoffs at April next year neither, they can start it at June or July, all comes down to 2022 to be played on regular period without any changes at all if they do it like that.
1793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough of bounty scam, you can help to stop it too. on: April 22, 2020, 04:00:12 PM
Yep, grammatical errors used to be one of the ways to dictate a scam, because they are usually careless in their spellings or they are just dumb. But that’s not the case this time around, scammers now take their time to create their project lol, and they make it look more professional as possible as it could.

I have seen a lot of scam projects that people fell for recently, and I noticed that they all looked perfect enough to deceive people. As for the other points you have listed, they are all perfect and can really help people to dictate when they are working on a scam project. People really needs to be wise these days and avoid these scammers. It can be heart-breaking to spend time and a lot of effort working on a particular project only to end up being scammed. So it’s better to find out early and quit.
1794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best project for investing in 2020? on: April 22, 2020, 02:09:14 PM
Tron is a good cryptocurrency to consider. The platform has been growing and they made an acquisition of Steemit and BitTorrent, and despite the challenges they have had with these, I still believe that they are one of the best options for anyone to consider. You already have Bitcoin, another cryptocurrency you shouldn’t neglect is Ethereum. It’s the second biggest cryptocurrency in the world, and most of the times it’s a good choice for any investor.

Another good cryptocurrency to invest your money in this 2020 is DASH. A blog once hinted that Dash might still benefit , despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, because people might start adopting it for transaction. I am not sure about that, because I have always expected people to adopt Bitcoin and no other cryptocurrencies.
1795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is your expectation still high on the halving on: April 22, 2020, 12:41:23 PM
We have a lot of expectations in the halving in fact our expectations are very high before this pandemic especially those new in the market and the first time to experience halving, now is your expectation still high in the coming halving even if we are in the middle of a pandemic.
Right from time my expectation has not been high. I’ve been cool about this halving, and I am not really much expecting any bull run to happen. The way I usually see it, there might just be a bit of an increase and the price might stay at a stable rate quite for some months before the bull run will start.

I have been here before the 2016 halving and the halving that took place in 2017; I joined this is community in 2014. If it’s going to be the same thing that’s going to happen now, then we shouldn’t be too excited, because there are still more months to go before anything bull run, unless it’s going to be a different case this time around which is what I want.
1796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 21, 2020, 06:49:23 PM
Yeah no insurance for this covid-19.. But Australia trying their best for this Aus vs Ind series and not ruling out any possible window with even empty grounds.

Good article about CA current situation.

CA will explore creative solutions to stage India series

Well... I trust CA when they say that they'll explore creative options. Anything is welcome, with the exception of "virtual" BS... I can't just tolerate all these virtual stuff going on these days. Cricket Australia was the first board to use stadiums with retractable roof for international cricket matches (please correct me in case I am wrong). So I guess we can expect something similar and innovative this time as well.
I guess there is nothing going to be innovative as they have already tried playing behind closed doors. It means cricket Australia may host India without admitting any audience into stadium. Already they did this for the match against New Zealand just before the covid19 outbreak started. So, I guess they do not need to think hard if India will be agreeing to play behind the closed doors.

Before that, Sri Lanka may host IPL by May month if BCCI agrees to host this 2020 edition of IPL behind the doors but in Sri Lanka. I guess BCCI must be studying such a possibilities as news agencies confirm about Sri Lanka's proposal to host IPL this year.

Casinos could still make a loss as well, just because it has a house edge doesn't mean that they will always profit forever and never lose any money, there is a reason why some casinos go bankrupt as well.

If we were talking about unlimited amount of money to cover for all the losses any casino would make a profit in a long enough period however casinos do not have unlimited amount of money neither, most of them start this investment option because of that because thousands of people getting together to bankroll the casino is something quite important for the future profits of it.

However when a casino has limited bankroll, and some whale comes in and plays the max constantly and ends up winning a lot, it sets you back, just as you start to earn small by small like expected, another whale could come in and destroy it, few of these in a row and casino will run out of money to pay before they could actually profit.
1798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the first reason why fraud projects are increasingly rampant? on: April 20, 2020, 09:25:22 PM
I always complain about ICO projects not just because of rewards? but because of the increasingly rampant project fraud!

on the other hand the first reason why we find it difficult to know about fraud projects or not, because almost most ICO projects look real !!
and this is very unexpected, that there is a site that offers services to create an ICO project complete with ERC20 Tokens!
with only $ 50 a person can make millions of dollars from the results of fraudulent projects HuhHuhHuh

https://www.fiverr.com/wedowo/create-your-ico-website-and-erc20-token

imagine if this continues, then the rich will increasingly become rich !! scamers
I guess you may create an ERC20 token even for just $10 as someone offered dead cheaper coding in our services board if I remember correctly. I guess, just having a new ERC tokens will not be enough to kick off a project and to scam this community in the name of ICO. They must be needing lots of other set up to show us like a highly legit project.

It means I guess just spending 50 will not be enough to launch a scammy ICO in my opinion. Also, when the cost required to run an ICO increases then the chances for new ICOs for scam intentions may get reduced somehowe right?
1799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which projects do you hold? Which ones do you believe in? on: April 20, 2020, 05:25:43 PM
When you are making investments by believing into someone's project and their promises about future developments, why not invest into a company's stock in your country instead, because when you deal in stock there are plenty of chances for not getting scammed (making profits will be possible only we are sure about not choosing a scammy thing) as they may have a real business unlike how most alcoins/tokens doing in this crypto space.

ICOs had changes crypto space just like stock investments/trading. But, I guess it would be much better to invest only on bitcoins rather than investing ICOs based coins. If you look for ICO's big promises of enormous profits then investing in stocks could be a btte options rather than struggling in crypto spaces.
1800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we are not having more sites like freebitco.in[unique cases of freebitco.in] on: April 20, 2020, 04:18:42 PM
Well, while some casinos offer you nothing even if you lose all your money, there are some platforms out there that let you at least have a little fun with free faucet claims. Using the earnings to entertain your customers even more is a smart tactic to make your customers deposit even more.
Yes, this could be the reason why freebitco.in is surviving for years along with their unique features. They allow us to claim faucets even our balance is not yet emptied. It means you may keep on playing with them even with additional money to keep going if you are profitably gambling which is not at all possible with most other crypto casino. When you are supporting your gamblers with unique ideas then obviously they will keep depositing which could be leading to huge success after years.

I don't think Satoshi is/was behind any of the existing platforms.. it just doesn't look to me like Satoshi had much of a financial interest when he created cryptocurrencies. He launched BTC and just let it grow like a little child. Smiley
But, looking out the site's statistics, anyone will doubt about Satoshi's contribution on such business. Because, with still running faucet feature of this site makes why they are doing that unless otherwise it is not about spreading bitcoin awareness to new people but also for attracting gamblers.
