2681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] ETH Gas Prices on: September 02, 2021, 02:30:42 PM
Since the technology is quite new in a sense compared to other modes of payment, there is still more to do with the current updates especially when it is becoming even more mainstream now. There's no doubt about it and having that kind of opportunity to have L2's that come along with it is not bad as well. We all know the problems that can occur like what OP has included in the post, but still, we are discovering something that is saving our current financial worries.

I'm worried about the Gas fees a lot and checking the Ethereum Average Gas Limit Chart it's at a steady pace of increasing. It's getting harder and harder to use ETH.
2682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the last quarter of 2021, prepare for the profit coming. on: September 02, 2021, 01:59:54 PM
The time is so fast that we didn't notice that it's already near Q4. I think that's where you are pertaining to. With this in mind, a lot of people can get more money from different sources, whether it's from their day jobs and bonuses, for sure it could lead to some increased money flow towards crypto.

I agree with you that you can still profit from the projects. I'm just thinking about BTC and ETH. I imagine people who bought at $3k and seeing $50k now with BTC have sold it at such a low price feel. It's just pretty weird for them but I guess it's best to have that belief in a project that you will HODL for the long run.

The best strategy is to buy continuously and average down your bought price.
2683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: xxxxxYou think which will be the new NFT series? on: September 02, 2021, 09:04:23 AM
I think the best NFT that are going to be hyped and highly valued are nouns. The idea is excellent, and producing daily NFT forever is making the market scarce and somehow having them is an elite status if you have those kinds of NFT. It's not going to be easy to obtain something like this, but the pooling of funds is being done now, IIRC.
2684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we do what China did to gaming with gambling? on: September 01, 2021, 03:45:31 PM
I don't think that business owners will agree to that, knowing that they will have fewer players and less playing time. It's not going to be gone entirely, but the chances are that they rely on people who are always playing and not those who just go on it to try and have fun. I think having mandatory breaks on the actual game would be more helpful than taking breaks because some don't care about it. If it's a mandatory one, maybe it could reduce the addicted people and increase rage in people. Perhaps it can be a  choice for the players.
2685  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: P2P Crypto Trading - Which Platform Do You Use & Why? on: September 01, 2021, 02:14:19 PM
I'm always using the Binance P2P because it's a safe approach towards converting your assets towards what you want, whether you are buying crypto with fiat or vice-versa. I'm using it mainly because it's one of the most convenient ways to do actual trading. I mean, in Binance, you could easily buy a variety of coins available in the exchange and probably HODL it there. Making sure that you can afford to lose it since you know that anything can happen, whether it's getting hacked or something.

Most people would probably stay away from it since it involves KYC, but if you think it outweighs the trouble, why not?
2686  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] Cryptocurrency Spoofing/Wash Selling on: August 31, 2021, 04:10:11 PM
This term is new to me, and I didn't know that whales are using it. It's exciting to me that you were able to show us this. I like your topic here.

Anyway, this is not something applicable to liquid pairs like USD-BTC or something of the like. I don't think it would be fast to cancel orders right away because many bots are probably being used in that specific exchange as well.

Are there arrests done in different markets already? Probably they get away with crypto exchanges.
2687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Difference Between Farming & Staking? on: August 31, 2021, 11:50:02 AM
I always have thought of it as the same, so I did a quick Google on this to find out the differences in general. We are comparing Yield Farming to Staking.

- Yield farming or liquidity mining, you temporarily lend crypto assets in a permissionless way.
- Staking is you lock up assets and act as a node, and there you confirm blocks in the blockchain.

Yield farming has higher risks but has bigger APY, while Staking has lower APY and has lock time.

I guess that's where you can compare the two. For a better investment, it depends on the money you are going to use. Is it going to be set aside and not needed right away? Or something that you need to liquidate right away? I think that's the better question.

2688  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might be ready to pump similar to December 2020 on: August 31, 2021, 03:55:36 AM
This is what I'm confused with, with this type of analysis. It's a trend line showing almost 30-45 degrees pointed upward, and it's already concluded as the same. I'm just not convinced right away, and this is not to offend you, OP. I'm just curious how it's considered with just that line.

Anyway, based on the pictures you posted, it looks comparable, but the previous price action from 2021 is different from the last action price from December 2020. So I guess we have to wait out what happens before December 2021, and then the chances of it being the same from 2020 will be determined whether it will go higher or lower. We will see it soon.
2689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Friend borrowed 4 digits money from me, saying wait until BTC rises on: August 31, 2021, 02:16:44 AM
First of all, you took the risk of lending him your money. If you know him, you should've taken care of how much you will lend him without any risk for yourself and how much it can affect your lifestyle. Hopefully, this doesn't affect you much

If he ever traded on the account, you should've been updated on the progress because you are the one who funded the operation that he has. I think you should be the one handling the trading account to make sure he cannot just use your funds with that. It's going to be hard to validate if you don't hold or control the account used. In this way, you can verify all the trades there and see if they are used correctly. He cannot hide anything from you with that.

I think you should ask him for verification of the balance. Depending on where he is holding it, you should still be updated on it. I hope you find a way to be okay with it. Sometimes, money is what destroys friendships.
2690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wallet that doesn't link transactions sent? on: August 31, 2021, 01:37:20 AM
I'm thinking of the problems that could occur with your inquiry. The first is that you need to have balances on separate addresses to have a different fund source. It would be another step to have an internal transaction first before sending, so it may be straining for you. The second is that having a web-based wallet can be prone to hacking. It's better to have a more secure wallet for that.

Maybe develop something like that. Automatically send it as an internal transaction first before sending it out, etc.
2691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trends for altcoins in September on: August 30, 2021, 04:22:51 PM
It will be all the craze—the NFT space. Many opportunities are showing up, like the play-to-earn type of games, making it one of the most players that could come and possibly be more robust in 2022.

Some altcoins that I think will boom are those DeFi applications that have something to do with trading and making sure that there are fair factors with everyone in the crypto space—being involved in those things.

With the recent price actions, I think it will be ADA. This is not a piece of financial advice.
2692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Affiliates (Paid Streamers) - Fair or Not to other non-paid gamblers? on: August 30, 2021, 04:17:22 PM
I think the paid streamers are earning from those who have used their affiliate links and deposits in their new account in that certain casino. I think it's both a win-win situation for the streamer and the casino itself because they are being exposed to the audience of the said streamer.

Those who have a different situation, like those using the casinos' money and who are there for them to entertain, have a different agenda. It's to show how credible the site is and how they can "earn" money from playing there, and from that point on, new people can be hooked or something. It will be difficult to justify how much they can do on a certain casino, but that's their benefit from being a streamer. It's just like that.

When I read this, it seems like they have the power to make "volume" and "activity" on the site, so I guess it's for show entirely unless it's a reputable site already or something.
2693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think this is the last four year cycle? on: August 30, 2021, 06:54:22 AM
I think if we have this in mind moving forward, it would entirely depend on a couple of things
  • Demand towards BTC
  • How many miners would sell their stack
  • Supply that people are willing to let go

If there are many people HODL-ing and many people have decided to HODL only, then there would be less supply, and it's going to be a matter of time when you are going to make this a point of change. More people want BTC or Not.

I would always want to have more price action towards BTC as it would rise so much. The most significant effect is where people are more involved, and more people are buying cryptocurrencies. Having the majority of coins in mind, it will have a higher rise in price since there is less left to be purchased or minted.

All of this is always speculation.
2694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Think twice before making a post on: August 30, 2021, 06:44:29 AM
People have mostly had the first instinct and post right away without doing any proper research first. It's just that people want to be spoon-fed immediately and wait for the replies. It's not that it's not encouraged, but most people don't want repetitive questions and can easily be searched, just like what the other members said.

Thinking before posting would be helpful, and make sure that there's no same topic about it. Plagiarism is a different kind of thing because you can only do that if you just outright copy-paste and never created your topic on it. It's not just like that. I think it's always going to be different when it comes to how it manifests. It's either you are a copycat, or you genuinely want to post about it, and you would never copy someone but only reference it.
2695  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading skills on: August 29, 2021, 06:21:05 PM
I do suggest that newbies check out different trading tools like Gunbot because it might accelerate your learnings with trading and automatically apply those kinds of strategies that you are looking into. I think that's one of the best ways to make it faster.

But sure, there are many free resources about trading, and I think it's pretty easy to search for those things.
2696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My friend wants to buy ETH for Axie Infinity, but I said no and here’s why…. on: August 28, 2021, 07:13:52 PM
I thought there's something to the Axie Infinity that you won't want it or something. It made me confused about the title, but I guess it's just because of ETH. That's always bound to happen. Imagine people when BTC reached $60K? Those who sold at $20k etc.

Anyway, at least now you know you want to HODL more on ETH. Any particular aspect of the London hard fork that you think is making you so bullish?
2697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high fees in ETH? on: August 28, 2021, 02:44:10 PM
If you check any gas fees websites, there's still a high fee whether you are just depositing or transferring ETH or swapping any coin you will utilize. Most of the ERC-20 games that use many fees are unreasonably hard to play because it's going to eat a lot of your ETH. I hope they fix it because it's highly unreasonable to use ETH for transacting many transactions.
2698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 3 sites for cryptocurrency lovers on: August 28, 2021, 12:06:55 PM
Top sites that I use for cryptocurrencies are
  • Bitcointalk.org
  • CoinMarketCap
  • Cointelegraph

I think these are the most valuable sources of news, projects, credibility of projects, etc., when it comes to any cryptocurrency-related stuff. For sure, the forum is my top 1 for anything. They are making sure that the facts are straight and the sources are viable.
2699  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which timeframe do you use for day trading? on: August 27, 2021, 07:51:48 AM
It's good to see how others are approaching trading and making themselves more efficient with the use of bots. I use Gunbot for my trading necessities, utilizing it as an exit tool and complete automation.

It's good to test out different parameters, but we know that the market is unpredictable at the end of the day, and the results can vary continuously on other setups.

Anyway, for my day trading strategy, I usually use 15 mins for that. Whenever I think of day trading, it's okay for me to hold a position for a day and not longer than that. Right now, my focus is on market making, though.
2700  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hacked account? "Donator" selling account under his/her own name? on: August 27, 2021, 06:28:25 AM
I think his reaction to having that account to sell is probably a "wow" factor. Obviously, he didn't know anything about how the forum works with anything about accounts, he was too happy or probably made a mistake using that actual account lol.

How many more is there? To have those kinds of accounts.
