2701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine now adds Polkadot address for donations on: March 02, 2022, 03:46:32 AM
What happened to fiat currency? They still can accept international transfer as of now. How will the decentralised money help the government of Ukraine they do need a mechanism to convert it into USD as that is the accepted global currency. Do they have one? Does anyone knows how it will work or this is another way to fill the pocket of corrupt politicians.

They could have put th necessary tools to convert crypto to either their local currency or USD to buy things needed in war specially medical supplies. And this donations to Ukraine has been set up for months already, prior to the war, it just caught up right now because they are really at war. The thing is that not only Ukrainians can take advantage of crypto donations, even Russia can accept it as well.
2702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: March 02, 2022, 03:16:48 AM
Shakur Stevenson's defensive strategy is unmatched, let's see what Oscar Valdez does to destroy it and take advantage of his powerful punch. From the look of it, Oscar Valdez has the upper hand here but his skills will not be counted if he doesn't land any powerful punches to Shakur. He needs to some up with a smooth strategy and it won't be easy for an ordinary boxer but I know Valdez with his experiences can execute it well.
And yet Oscar Valdez is the underdog in this fight? So are gamblers putting defense first against a powerful puncher? Nevertheless maybe Stevenson could be a defensive puncher, but he can also dishes out some good punch output and can counter Valdez in this fight. So we will see which one is going to execute their strategy to the perfection in order to win this fight.
In boxing both things must occur in a boxer to be integral, Valdez's technique and experience is something that cannot be denied, besides that he is a boxer who for me is complete, we cannot say that Shakur does not know what his opponent is like , I'm sure Shakur already knows how to fight against him, and yes, Shakur may be stronger or maybe he looks a little stronger, even so I wouldn't know how to say that he's worth more here'? The experience? Strength, maybe defense? but in boxing it is usually like soccer, the one who scores first has a great advantage, Valdez is very complete and I would bet much more on him for his punch, but if Shakur knows how to fight him well, things change in a big way, and he can give The surprise.
I would agree that Stevenson might be the stronger dude in this fight, after all this is his natural weight and Oscar is going up, although he has fought 2x already. But he do look small in this division but he has power specially in his left hand. On the other hand, Stevenson is a defensive fighter as I have said, and good body puncher, but the odds doesn't do any justice for Oscar Valdez as he is also a champion.
2703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 02, 2022, 02:56:19 AM

It is is all under Garcia's camp because he's under the Golden Boy Promotions, but what I meant is that Garcia himself picked Tagoe and not Oscar De La Hoya because that's the work of the promoter to find a match that could be good for his boxers. Garcia have won his recent match against Campbell but he also got ugly because of that fight that's why they need someone to make his name fresh again.
Garcia was tough in his previous fight, though we witnessed how he got knock down but he was strong enough to come back and beat Campbell. For me, I believe that Garcia learned a lot from that experience that's why I expect him to be more careful in his next fight.

But Tagoe is still a mystery for me.
Don't worry about that, Garcia will solve that mystery for you. Smiley
He was really tested by Campbell, although the majority of the rounds was his, he was not careful and just walking straight to Campbell and that's when he was hit. The good thing is that Ryan has a good chin and his recuperation time is very high.

Tagoe is a mystery because we haven't seen him fight before, but since he will be in the limelight against Garcia we will see if he has what it takes to upset Ryan or not.

I strongly agree, Garcia's capabilities was really tested by Campbell, he let his guard down while he was controlled by his emotion because Campbell managed to take him down first that is why he was eager to knock out Campbell. Unfortunately, he didn't succeed but Garcia have won the match via TKO but that match have ruined is career that's why he needed this win before he will face Kambosos Jr.
Yes, and Tagoe has the tools to really test Ryan, but not to the extend that he will get knock down again. As other commented, this is a cherry pick fight for him, so he will really look good in this fight and we can see the old Ryan Garcia. Not sure if he can go and fight Kambosos Jr after this one. I will like him to see against a technical fighter like Haney first, who also hold a belt so that is enough incentive for Ryan to fight next.
2704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 01, 2022, 06:59:27 PM

Just keep his focus and be at his best each game he will play.

Ja' is still young and has so much talent. I remember in him the young DRose, speed and skills the kid should prevent himself
in any major injuries and continue to dominate inside this league.

He's really bringing his name high and making his own path, Memphis again, making this franchise very competitive.

I also have a high hopes for him as the next face of the NBA as well as Luka Doncic. But Ja is on a different level.
He is more efficient than DRose or AI. These was both an elite and explosive PG, but Ja is better than them.
I hope he's not going to have a major injury, I'm kinda afraid of his high flying abilities, he has no hesitation to put you on a poster. That poster dunk against Poetl is jaw dropping.

Yes, injuries can kill anyone's career in the NBA, and hopefully with Ja's case it won't happen to him because we wanted to see him more and mature as a player and give us highlights every game. He was hit in the first quarter and I thought it was serious. But he just shrugged it  and then continue to play and score 52 points. And he is one of those players that is hard to guard and if he improved his jump shot he will be a total package.
2705  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 01, 2022, 06:34:09 PM
^^ Most likely ordinary people are flocking into the bitcoin market specially Russians to:

[1] save their wealth by moving their rubles to bitcoin
[2] trying to escape the war and sanction by West

And yes, as others have statement, it was really surprising a massive spike to $43k, looking to break $45k price for this March and this could be a conservative goal for the market despite the war.
2706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH and BTC deserves the biggest space in our crypto portfolio on: February 28, 2022, 11:13:44 PM
The problem is that many investors specially newbies thought that bitcoin and ethereum are not a good investment because the returns is too slow and you have to be a long term investors.

As compare to many coins that has a lot of promises, so they investment their money on them thinking that they will be instant millionaires. But majority of them didn't even reach have of their dreams because the coins they have invested are either pure hype or simply just a scam.
2707  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: February 28, 2022, 10:47:05 PM
I also like the sentiments so far, so a yes for me.

Actually we have reach at high as $41k, it's impressive that from the start of the news about the war the market plummeted by now has recovered what we have lost and then gain some. And we have seen that if a whole number resistance is broken, it will continue until like the mid high. So this might be the case for this month and I will not be surprised if this spike could go $45k.
2708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Estrada vs Gonzalez Trilogy - March 5 on: February 28, 2022, 10:12:55 PM
The thing is that Martinez is moving up in weight, so the question is, can he bring his power to this division? I highly doubt it so I'm not seeing him knocking out Gonzalez even if he is old and could be out of prime. Martinez just grab this fight because it's a perfect opportunity for him, but it could backfire if he losses this one. And if he losses the fight, what will happen to his unification fight with Sunny Edwards? Big gamble on his part for accepting it, but we will see.
I guess has you have said, the opportunity is there so why not grab it and see how it goes for him?
He seems to be too confident if he says he can knock out Gonzalez because no one has yet beaten him by knockout. So I don't think that Martinez has something specially in him that he can just do it to the great Gonzalez. On the contrary, he could be the one getting knock out here for all we know.

There are some circumstances where the replacement dominated the favorite one of this is the Ugas - Pacquiao, Ugas the replacement beat Pacquiao by unanimous decision, and everyone was caught by surprised, Gonzalez should not underestimate Martinez he still has time to adapt his strategy to Martinez style, if Gonzalez plays it right he can beat Martinez and we can have the trilogy in the future.

Yeah, but this circumstance are rare though, and in the Pacquiao vs Ugas fight, it was just weeks before the fight that Manny knows that Ugas will be the one fighting him, so he didn't adjust his training. But in this case, Estrada's replacement is known to Gonzalez so he has ample time to re-adjust his training and can shift it to Martinez style.

That wasn't his excuse when interviewed after the fight, the excuse was he got a foot cramp that's why he cannot move a lot and it was taken advantage of by Ugas. Well, maybe the sudden change of opponent could also be another factor that resulted in the loss of one fighter, but it's not really the main factor in the case of Pacman.
It could be, but I have a feeling that Pacquiao can't adapt to the style of Ugas early on their fight and that's why the cramps sets in.

Anyway, since we've seen a upset in the Ancajas fight, I was just thinking that it can happen to Estrada as well. The chances though are very slim because he has been in boxing for many years and have the experience to overcome if he has problems early with Martinez style here.

If anyone though is interested on the fight: https://www.ticketsmarter.com/4990959/matchroom-boxing-martinez-vs-chocolatito-iii
2709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 28, 2022, 09:45:35 PM
Harden definitely does bring a lot to the table. I am not saying that they are already champions or anything like that, obviously they will need to play a lot more games to see if it will go on like this.

Harden is known MVP and diva, Embiid is the best player in that team, right now Harden loves passing and sharing and being happy with his teammate, but when people start to see Embiid as the reason for championship possibility and leave Harden aside, that is going to be different.

If Harden could reel in his ego, then we are going to see this team win a championship either this year or next year. They are certainly one of the best in the league.

We are seeing a great start of the Sixers, isn't it good enough to think that this team really has a chance to be the NBA champion this season? Harden is no doubt in his MVP level, what the Sixers need currently is to maintain or improve their chemistry, and it seems to me that the current team is better than the previous, so I'm hopeful that they'll succeed this season, nice trade by the way.

They did get a little bit better but I think losing Seth and his 3 poit shooting kills some of the spread they had going for them.  I mean they struggled against the Knicks and took a big 4th to pull away.  Still not convinced this is gonna work out for them.
Maybe someone from the Sixers really need to step up and become their outside threat? Danny Green could be their next big 3 point shooter or maybe Harris as well. Because they've beaten a weaker team and needed a burst in the fourth quarter to win. But what if it is one of the best team in the East, they might have problems as you have saying. So we will see if they can continue their dominant run or not.
2710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: February 28, 2022, 09:16:31 PM
...
I believe, Canelo knows what is at stake here. Because going up the weight division is indeed a risk for him as he may not be comfortable with the added weight.

I don't think Canelo will have problems with the weight, he has a really heavy punch to know out any contender and that's what we will see in this fight.

My bet will be for Canelo, without a doubt this will be one of those easy money bets.
Exactly, maybe this is Canelo walking weight for all we know. So he doesn't have to adjust to the weight at this division, he can eat what he wants and then come up at 175 lbs. And he has campaign once at this division as well, so there is no risk as he has done it prior. And he is a former champion at 175 lbs, he just go down to 168 lbs and clean it up to become undisputed.
2711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: February 26, 2022, 07:46:52 PM
We will see, there's a lot of noise right now that if ever GGG won here, he will get Canelo next. But Canelo will definitely have a dance partner this Cinco de Mayo and that the speculation that GGG will be next in the table for him in September, Mexican Independence day (which previously Dela Hoya holds that fight week). So still up for GGG to win big here against Murata and then go home and wait for Canelo.

If GGG won here, I don't think that's enough to make Canelo willing to fight him for the 3rd time.

Canelo already has a set of targets this year and the first one is in May against Dmitry Bivol in a Light Heavyweight Match.

GGG just needs to focus on his future matches. He doesn't need to make a noise about wanting a fight with Canelo. If Canelo is not interested, then so be it. Let Canelo come to him instead of him trying everything to convince Canelo.
If he do pushes more then it do shows that desperation until into that point that he do looks not appealing into its fans on trying to force out something which couldnt be possible

GGG is nearly on his retirement since he's already 39 years old as of this moment. There are really things which boxers do really have that ego on achieving or getting something
that they do prefer which i couldnt blame him off about being wanted badly about that Trilogy against Canelo.
But there is an open book that he needs to settle with Canelo before he retires. So this is an extra motivation for GGG now to push himself and beat Murata in their fight because he is looking for a potential Canelo meet in September. So this is a great opportunity as he has axe to grind against Canelo because their two fights are very controversial that most of the fight fans wanted to see a 3rd fight.
2712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine is now accepting cryptocurrency donations. Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT on: February 26, 2022, 07:10:24 PM
Yes, it's two fold, there could be some entities trying to take advantage of the situation and this is not the first time that we've seen criminals in the crypto space. Even during the height of the pandemic, there are a lot of fake donation address too, so I would be cautious as well. Unless the Ukraine government did acknowledge that it belongs to them, just saying.
2713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: February 26, 2022, 12:26:04 PM
I'm interested in the 2nd part, a GGG vs Canelo Trilogy if he wins this fight.

Well, in terms of chances, I guess GGG and Canelo has a high chance of beating their respective opponent, so the fight that is almost impossible is going to happen soon, hopefully this year.
Same here, I think majority here wanted to see that trilogy between GGG and Canelo.

They are the favorite to beat their respective opponents, and barring and upset, they could really set up everything in September for all that important fight on their careers. It will happen this year as per the report, so Canelo is not shying away from the 3rd fight, maybe just waiting for the right time and money in the table.
2714  Economy / Speculation / Re: ₿ not going below 40.000 (probably) on: February 25, 2022, 07:10:58 PM
Bitcoin price has surged in the past week from a price range of $38k to $45k. However, this price did not last long, even now the bitcoin price has dropped back to the $38k range. I thought maybe the bitcoin price would fall back below $35k.
At the moment the market isn't stable and it needs good momentum to push it above $40k. Somehow bitcoin took a fast move and broke $39k range but it wasn't able to move the same way. The price failed to break the $39250 barrier and now trading down to $37k. This is a big time for traders, because the volatility has made a massive difference in the price in short time. Precise prediction will let the user buy low and sell high.
i'm sure many traders take advantage of moments like this (buy low sell high) how fast the price changes occur, an observant trader will definitely make big profits.  in the next few months, i don't believe the Bitcoin price will go past $40k, we will definitely see a price range at $30k++ till next few weeks.
I disagree though, I'm a bearish person this year, but what we have seen today, the growth itself, convince me that the price could touch $40k again, it's just a question of time. I think the relative strength of bitcoin could settle around $43'ish and that is the price that we could see bitcoin stablised for this year and not below it.

^^ Phoenix Suns at -7.5 odds, I think with the way they place last night, they might cover this one against the struggling Pelicans. Even without CP3, they made it a easy game against OKC.

For the Utah vs Mavericks, a lot of players are questionable of the Mavericks line up, so yeah, why not go wit the Jazz in this game.-6.5.
2718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine - Russia war crisis. Will Bitcoin be legalized soon? on: February 25, 2022, 01:30:17 PM
I don't discuss about geopolitical issues or war here. Let's consider about what is going on and will happen with (against) Russia.

They under the dictatorship of Putin, really invaded Ukraine and ignored all international standards. They are punished by massive sanctions on their bank system and many areas. Because we do know Bitcoin is peer-to-peer, borderless so will Russia do something like North of Korea, trying to use Bitcoin as one of their last resorts?

With Bitcoin, they can avoid traditional sanctions against them. To do this, will they legalize Bitcoin in Russia soon?

Let me say, I hate war!
There are conflicting reports as whether Russia will go on bitcoin to circumvent the sanctions, one school of thoughts say yes, but on the other side, the argument is that since bitcoin is not really accepted they why would they go full blast on BTC.

Anyway, the price of bitcoin has increased and we've recovered what we have lost from the news. So maybe Russia has started to invest or at least hedge their wealth on bitcoin.
2719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 24, 2022, 12:44:52 PM
Ryan Garcia talking about his split with long time trainer Eddy Reynoso:

Quote
“Eddy didn’t have the time to work 100%. He’s a very busy trainer, and I understand,” Garcia told ESNews. “Sometimes you have to make your change for the better. It’s nothing against him. He’s a good trainer. I won five fights with him by knockout, so there’s nothing wrong. I’m going to another level, and I need a full-on, 100% [trainer]. It was never bad blood. It was about dedication and time, you know?”

https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-opens-up-about-split-from-reynoso-he-time-work-100--164252

What's your take on this? He said that Eddy doesn't have time for him.

But on the other hand, Canelo himself criticized Garcia in public saying that Ryan doesn't not give everything in training.
We really don't know what the true story is, maybe Canelo is telling the truth here because he have seen Ryan grow. On the other hand, Eddy has so many stable of boxers to train, he has Oscar Valdez who is fighting Stevenson next. And now Ryan enters the picture, so Eddy doesn't have time to train Ryan 100%. So it's only right that Ryan hire someone that can train him for his upcoming fight because it's only a big one as this is a comeback fight for him.

As the saying goes "don't fix it if ain't broke", Garcia and Reynoso has a good relationship. They have been winning 5 times already all with knock out. But when Canelo goes to the public and expose his training ethics, he suddenly bolted out and move to other trainers? I think Reynoso gives time to his boxers because if not then they are not going to win, like him, Canelo and Oscar Valdez and other up and coming fighters.
Maybe this is part of Garcia's mental problem, and perhaps he and Reynoso despite winning fights has somewhat in a disconnect. So Ryan decided to go back against to Goosen, his previous trainer. This might not sound good to Canelo and Reynoso but they can't force themselves to Ryan. So if Ryan win then good for him, but if he losses this fight against a cherry pick fighter then he will be criticized for switching trainers.
2720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 24, 2022, 10:50:19 AM
^^ It's too early to say what will happen to Casimero, but yeah for sure he will have this in mind and could be a nuisance for him specially if media from the Philippines are going to interview him because for sure his subject will be brought up. He is not guilty yet so let justice go on its proper course. Maybe the girl is telling the truth or not, its only the judge that can decide base on evidence and facts presented.

The process will take time, the fight will be finished first in most instances, this accused will be processed.

Knowing the justice system it will take time, it might affect him inside, but the focus on his boxing skills i doubt Casimero
will allow it to disturb him.
Not sure how the justice system rolls in the Philippines. But as I have said, it should be based on facts.

Hopefully, Casimero will not allow this negative news to disturb him. But we really don't know how some individual deal with his allegations. I mean this is sexual in nature, so definitely your family will also be affected by it negatively.

It's just an accused till the process takes place, when the judge order if there's ground about this case, though even there's
valid accusation Casimero's camp can still challenge it and another proceeding will take place.
I have nothing to say about how long the process will take, my point is that the judge should be fair.
