1721  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull or bear November? on: November 01, 2022, 09:23:16 AM
Yeah, I would  say that we are still in the bear season, so November might be the same just like the rest of the month. Prices could be just around or in the average of $20k. But I guess that it's good indication that we might not go lower or see lower lows this year.

But 2023, could be different, going to be another roller coaster ride. And with that, just stay focus and continue to accumulate as much BTC as we can at the end of the year. The opportunity might not present itself again.
1722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is there such a thing as "elevated", "premium", "xyz" wallet? on: November 01, 2022, 08:49:08 AM
A friend told me that he has an "premium" bitcoin wallet.  sometimes he called it gold level wallet.  what does this mean?

does it mean he has shit load of bitcoin in his wallet?
Gold level wallet? nah, I don't think there is such a thing, it's either you have custodial or non-custodial wallet.

And it's up to you how your are going to protect your wallet even if it has shitload of bitcoin or just .0000001 sats.

Maybe your friend is just bullshitting you or he doesn't know what is the different kind of bitcoin wallet. And it's good that you have asked the community, so that you will be corrected in the very beginning.
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 31, 2022, 09:15:52 AM
https://www.sportingnews.com/us/boxing/news/manny-pacquiao-dk-yoo-watch-hologram-press-conference/c57ednnk2xhfemgamrsptirc

And with that, there are 3 judges in that fight which ironically score the fight by a draw.

So who knows, this could be the same outcome, no winner, just for fun.

I see, there are judges and this match might have a winner. But I think that judges are just part of the entertainment and the result might be a DRAW.

Wonderful show and Pacquiao just put a funny part on his legacy. Nothing wrong though as he really loves boxing although not fit for a professional fight now.

Another big money on the making with a few minutes of exposure. Smiley
Yes, that's really possible, a draw, but I guess we wanted to see Manny's hand raised in this fight even though this is just a exhibition match?

I don't know, maybe we are used to seeing Manny takes a win and if we are going to look at it, his opponent is no match for him.

However, this is just an exhibition match after all, to to give entertainment at the end of the year.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 31, 2022, 08:38:09 AM
The vienna atp was as promised a competitive one shapovalov managed to win the first set against medvedev but couldn't finish him off on the second, medvedev corrected the mistakes and made adjustments which led him to victory its been a while since he won a title congrats to him on a well deserved win.

I didn't have any bets on for these two but for me the two expected players won.

Medvedev seems like he took his play to another gear.

Felix AA is on a roll, 3 tournaments in a row and got the job done in 2 sets!

Medvedev has qualified for the ATP finals and with 2 tournaments remaining Felix
is in a strong position to take a spot.
My expectation was on Holger Rune. The experience of Felix Augur have made him strong against Rune and win the match 6-3 7-5. I haven't watched the match between Medvedev and Shapovalov. The match could've been interesting, because Medvedev have lost the first set and then came back into the match winning 4-6 6-3 6-2. The last two sets have turned to be one sided.
Even if Rune is on fire in this tournament, it seems that Felix is really playing the best tennis of his life here.

Yes, it could be the experience of Felix and he has the momentum when he won against Alcaraz in the semis. Another record is that he hasn't broken in this tournament, that is an amazing feat.

And he has a good chance to enter the Nitto ATP Finals for the first time in this year end.
1725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 31, 2022, 08:06:13 AM

So finally they had their first win, good thing I didn't bet on this match, thinking of betting for the Nuggets to win by handicap. So far the fans of the Lakers team, this is a relieved seeing them getting their first win this season.

yeah, good to see they finally have a win, but hopefully we will not anymore see a losing streak after this week. It wasn't really a dominating win, they still showed their weakness, but of course, a win is a win, and congrats to them. Next, they'll be up against the Pelicans, that's a tough team, sure it's not gonna be easy for them.
Yep, good to see that they finally have a W in their score, but it's just the beginning for them.

And yes, Pelicans just beat the other Los Angeles team, so they want to get a back to back win here. And Zion is back so it will be a tough match up for Davis if he will go against him in their games.

Still the microscope is on Westbrook, he still need to produce good numbers and not commit a lot and costly errors.
1726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Could such a thing be possible? Crypto Triangular Arbitrage on: October 28, 2022, 06:49:53 PM
Not sure if arbitrage trading is still a thing of this era.

I mean if you talk about 2017-2018, maybe arbitrage is very good strategy as it can make profits by taking advantage of price difference from exchange. But I think exchanges have evolved as well to combat it. And then the era of bots comes along 2019 up to this day. It could be possible that there are still traders who are into this kind of arbitrage but definitely with a help of a bot. But the question is, where and how to find the correct bot to help you do this? And for sure it might cost you big money to begin with.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The High Rollers and The Plebs - Who Wins The Most? on: October 28, 2022, 08:15:41 AM
What does this tell you?
Does this mean that the higher the amount we wager at a go, the higher the chance of ending up profit at the end of the day?
This could be true, until probability catches up with you. As you can see in your experiment, you did have some good run, but eventually it settles down, like the first one wherein you only have $5 capital.

Or do you think it is all based on luck?, that is to say that the account with $5 on it wasnt just lucky today and thereby was unable to make any profit no matter how small?

What do you think about this ?
Mostly based on luck mate, and that is the most important factor that we can't really control in this kind of experiment. What if in the $5 you will have successive wins, and on the contrary the $100 roll turns out to be series of losses?
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 28, 2022, 07:49:35 AM
We talk about the Lakers far too much on here lol.  I know they've got the second greatest player of all time (Jordan is number for those of you who don't know any better  Cheesy ) and he's quite polarizing, but I for one am excited that there's other teams besides the LA Lakers who are looking exciting this year and have a lot of potential who normally don't year after year (like the Lakers).
It's  because of the drama from last year that has spill over, specially the case of Westbrook, their new coach, and definitely Lebron James. So the spotlight is on their side.

Good game between the Nets and the Mavs, it went into OT, Irving and Durant has a monster game. But Luka takes this game with a triple double performance.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 28, 2022, 02:07:43 AM
Tyson though has one exhibition match against another legend in Roy Jones.

So who knows, perhaps we will do it against Holyfield just for the sake of entertainment. Initially that was the plan, him and Holyfield, but it didn't happen and Roy Jones was the replacement.

So hopefully Mike can recover the soonest and see if he and Holyfield will just have one exhibition fight. For sure it's going to be another sold out tickets, just saying.
1730  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next big bull rally expected to begin in 2023 Q2 says Mark Yusko on: October 28, 2022, 01:41:54 AM
I'm not familiar with Mark Yusko to begin with.

But I will have to disagree though when he predicted that there will be a big bull run in 2023. For all we know, the market will still be very bearish that time and the only catalyst for a bull run is halving which will occur in the early part of 2024. And with that, I'm still expecting the worst in 2023, so it is still the best time to accumulate bitcoin from today thru DCA, until you have the capital to invest in this bear market.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Realizing the value of holding cash on: October 27, 2022, 06:11:30 AM
This is common experience which anyone out there might likely face because in crypto is basically planning and targeting, if you don't plan well you might end up not having a dimn when the time comes and you might have a cool time to buy some trusted cryptos with potential but at then no funds to buy either.
Well there is old strategy which is DCA if you wanted to buy and invest in crypto, but obviously, you will have cash in ready like every week to buy and that's why it is always valuable to have cash ready in our hands.

So in bear market, you simply but with your cash and hold. But if there is some event that you needed more, then definitely you can sell some.

But the best time to sell is really on the bull run when the market is green and the price is going up, revenue is gong to be good.
1732  Economy / Speculation / Re: There will be more down - bearish on BTC on: October 27, 2022, 05:53:04 AM
We don't know if next year will be a bull run or a bear run but at the moment, we are still in a bear run, even though the bitcoin price could now reverse direction and be at $20k. Maybe the bull run moment will come next month or at the end of the year and hopefully, that will happen.
I will say it's better not to expect something big next year, and so personally I will treat it as still in the bear market even if there will be some spike in the price in 2023.

And if we guess that a bull run could occur before the halving, we still have to wait more than 1 year. But for the future, the price of bitcoin can still rise higher than the last ATH. And we all certainly hope that after this month, the price of bitcoin can rise and provoke a bull run.
History repeats itself, so I will hold that the next bull run will occur only after the bitcoin halving It has been the catalyst ever since. And so I doubt that it will be broken or we could be seeing ATH prior to this activity. So it's a long way to go for us and we could still buy cheap bitcoin, just saying.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: October 27, 2022, 04:39:49 AM
Yes, it's clearly a duck on Crawford side, Ennis could be a good test for him, has power in both hands and rising in ranks.

I guess though he is just looking for a fight that will make him busy this year and not really to defend his belt against worthy opponents like Ennis and Ortiz Jr. Most likely the negotiations with Spence could be back next year after this fight or if Spence will go to the same route of having a get busy fight as well.

He has been talking about Ennis if I'm not mistaken, but maybe he doesn't want to give him the fight right now.

So he took an easy route to fight David Avanesyan and see if he can persuade again Spence to have a fight for next year. If not, then maybe he will have to look at this two in the future or maybe move to 154 lbs and not give them the chance to beat him. I'm not saying that Crawford is afraid of the two, but career wise if he wanted to cement his legacy, he could be moving up next to get another belt.
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Crypto Gambling this year? on: October 27, 2022, 04:10:00 AM
I would understand if the post was made by a newbie account but this one was not.
I also did look at the account, it seems that it just woke up.

Better watch out though, he might promoted those sites in the future for whatever reasons.

As for the list, obviously, it was quite a surprise for us because majority are not even well known from most gamblers here. And again, no links and we even though know what the criteria are for the men's magazine to come up with this list.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu - Jan 28, 2023 on: October 27, 2022, 03:37:34 AM
I do hope that Tim Tszyu won't be like Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. He only have the good name but when he step up and try to fight top rated boxers, he lost.

So this is the chance for the younger Tszyu to become like his father or at least became a good champion from Australia. But Charlo is one scary dude, that power, the way he knocks out Castano in their second fight is brutal.
1736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it right time to invest in Cardano? on: October 26, 2022, 08:31:29 AM
For every project that you believed in, this is the right time to invest? Why, it's very obvious, the price is at a discount, whether it's BNB, ADA, ETH or any other coins that you are looking for, like the hype in Metaverses, then this is the best opportunity for us.

But for backers and supporters of ADA, they are happy that it nose dived in this brutal bear market, yes it's very painful to see that way, but they are banking on the future of ADA to make them huge return so it's an easy decision to invest right now.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 26, 2022, 08:20:20 AM
Anyone else watching this Suns golden state game.  For game 4 of the year its super chippy.  Klay and Booker were talking shit all quarter to each other and klay finally got chucked.  I know it's insanely too early but if this is what it's gonna be lime I need to see a 7 game series with these teams.

I am. Klay was having an off night and ended with 2 points. Booker seems like he likes to rub it in whenever that sort of thing happens. I can’t imagine the Suns are going to enjoy their next meeting. It looks like Golden State might be throwing in the towel now. I wouldn’t be surprised if they met up in the playoffs.

No Zion and no Ingram but the Pelicans still pulled out a win against the Mavericks. The Pelicans are going to be good…

Yeah pels are deep.  Book has it going this game and don't blame him got under klays skin.  It was a tight game until klay got booted then the Suns blew it open.  Smart move honestly.  Can't wait for the next one.  Don't know if there will be a more fun matchup to watch than these 2 squaring up.  Memphis mid year shoukd be a good one too.  This game didn't feel like an October game.  Seasons gonna be good.
Yeah, and Booker has been giving it out and at the same time, receiving the end of it. Remember him and Luka trash talking during their series last year? When you thought that Booker will be the one of top, Luka raises his game and then they were upset that time.

So I agree that this is the competitive spirit of this players and for sure Klay Thompson won't forget this one. I'm starting to believed that the Pelicans could be a real contender this season specially the way they played and with Zion back in their future games, they could be in a run here.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 26, 2022, 04:37:28 AM
Now, such fight is far from happening as Casimero has no more belts to boast for.
And as he is in the new weight division, let's see if they will still cross their path.
A lot are saying that Inoue was really scared of Casimero, but I don't think that was the real deal before.
If only the fight happened, we should have known now the level of Casimero as compared to Inoue.
This is why it is so disappointing they did not got to fight each other, because even if I think Inoue would win a potential fight between the two of them, we also know that anything can happen in a fight and a single punch is more than enough not only to change the trajectory of a fight but even of a whole career, however while I do not like champions losing their titles over the table Casimero was given enough chances and he simply wasted them, so I cannot say I disagree with the decision.
Casimero will still have the opportunity to have a crack against Inoue but it will be in the next division. But it might take some time because he doesn't have the belt and he has to go a lot of fighters and maybe his height could be a disadvantage in this weight class. What a waste of opportunity in this career, he trash talk his way and almost got the fight he wanted against Inoue, but his own issues bring down the fight.
1739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will This Habit Lead You To Chase Your Losses And Addictive To Gambling on: October 26, 2022, 03:26:49 AM
Do you think it's unhealthy to always post your winnings on social media and forums because this habit will lead you to chase your losses and bet more so you can post your winning, I find this habit forming and this is bad especially if people are following you and always looking forward to your winning posts.
Posting your own wins isn't bad on its own and it's possible that it could encourage you to chase losses but I don't think it's always the case based on the winning posts that i've seen. Others post their wins as a way to promote the site then there are some that post their wins so they could share their experience. Every winning post doesn't always show how much they've lost before hitting that win but I just think it depends on the person's mindset for example if they require themselves to post their wins in every session.
Yes, I do agree here, sometimes you need to share your experience and post your winnings and your bet before hand. But I don't think it will led to gambling addiction. Maybe the gambler itself is already addicted that's why he keeps posting.

But for those who are not, I'm sure posting will not be an issue for them. And I don't think that they are also going to chase their losses, it's just the experience that they are sharing.
1740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could 17.5k BTC actually be 13-14k pre-inflation? on: October 26, 2022, 02:23:55 AM
So i'm basically just thinking out loud but with inflation going rampant and last 2 years everything went up at least 20% in price and value do you think that 17.5k
(which could be a bottom in current bear cycle) BTC could actually be 13-14K preinflation and 17.5k as of now a bottom adjusted for inflation?
Possible, but what is the point of thinking it that way? I mean prices is going down, we are in the bear market, it went from $69k to $17.5 or whatever price you think. So that's basically what happened in a long hard and grind bear market.

We will definitely have to bottom in this cycle, right now it's $17.5k. Maybe next year when the market is still in the negative in could be in $13k-$14k like your price pre-inflation, but it doesn't mean anything to bitcoin investors.
