Their website is down, did they go out of business? I Wanted to order a sp10 next week.

Works for me.

Hello.

Has anyone got a unit with sidehack? (Ideally an sp10)

The provided thread link really doesn´t tell me anything about his hosting solution.

Sry, obviously i meant per kW, it was me being all sleepy and not checking what i wrote.

They provide service to bitcoin miners at these rates, starting from only one unit.
It is an all-inclusive rate, so the size of your rig doesn´t matter. They will provide rackspace for it in their 15-20kW racks in Iceland.
As far as i know they also host units that are not rackmountable, but not sure.

Hosting is in a facilty built only for bitcoin miners, so they have some people there that know their way around miners.
If you want to switch pools you most likely need to shoot them an email and they will do it.

At the quoted rate, it comes down to ~160$ per sp10 and month (1,3kW at wall, fully overclocked), which is an okay price imo, especially as they know what they are doing and not some DC staff "what is a bitcoin miner"

Great find then! That's exactly what I wanted from a colocation service! No need to pay extra for rack space, staff that knows what a bitcoin miner is and the price is good.

Quote
Hosting with spondoolies in Israel is sadly only a short-term solution, as their power costs are high and cooling requirements makes a DC in the hot Israeli climate a real challange.
Also, Israel´s power supply is 60% coal and basically the rest natural gas, so around 740g CO˛ per kwh which is not at all effective (98% fossil fuels)
Iceland´s electricity production is 100% renewable, so no harmful CO˛ emissions.

With the sp30, there will be an option for 290$/month long-term hosting in WA, and maybe also in another location, which spondoolies has hinted.

I personally hope that spondoolies will also provide a long-term hosting offer for their "old" sp10 customers, as it shouldn´t be too big a difference wether you put 2 sp10s or one sp30 in the rack, but time will tell.

They have already stated that this is a short term solution and they know that they are located in a bad climate for something like this. Their hosting is just for a short term solution as far as I can remember so no need to compare them because they have different purposes.

As for sp30 hosting the WA DC was hinted by SP-Tech, there aren't 2 locations.

€108 per month for 1SP10 is still a very affordable option. perhaps my next one should go to this, thanks for all your efforts guys, excellent groundwork for us.

Yes I also find the price to be good.

So no news? Collider?
I got my reply concerning cost from thor datacenter (90€ / kwh including everything, starting from 1 unit)
and i don´t think they will provide anything cheaper, unless you own your hosting container and just need them to provide power, in which case my bet would be 5-6ct / kwh

I have not yet received a reply from datacell yet. Might contact them again.

We need to sort something out. The kW vs kWh thing.

QuiveringGibbage has OP in kW which I think it's a different thing than kWh. For example one SP10 needs 1200W which is equal to 864 kWh per month. With the 90 euro per kWh it means that I only have to pay 78 euro per month which is damn nice. If it's 90 euro per kW then I will have to pay 108 euros.

Collider do you mind giving them another e-mail to clarify exactly this? Also ask them if they provide remote support or if they have a bit of training with bitcoin miners just in case we need to change pool or firmware or any other setting. Also this price includes rack space or do we need to pay extra for that? Is there anything else that miners need and it should be asked?

1. Approximate price is about 3000$ for July batch. We will say final price these few days
2. We understand incredulity among customers.
Too many scam companies gave a reasons do not believe newibes.
So, let us to prove, that we are real company and not a scam.
Any proofs required - let me know.
These days we will upload video.
Below is photo of chips

July when? Early? Mid?

So another AM gen3 miner.

540 retest required?

Required for what?

Required to hit a new and bigger ATH!

November Jups are the same boards as FrankenJups. And yes, I started at that setting. Some boards and/or dies just wouldn't get enough juice at that setting so I bumped up the voltage and MHz until they started to run at a decent speed.

Thank you.
2728  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announce. New ASIC manufacturer on: May 27, 2014, 08:21:52 AM
Hey everyone.
We are new bitcoin ASIC manufacturer. XBTec Team was founded in 2012 and specializes in designing and manufacturing Bitcoin mining hardware. Headquarter located in Hong Kong. Engineering team based in Shenzhen,China and Moscow,Russia.
And now, we are proud to announce new bitcoin ASIC miner XBTec Pacific 2000.

What chips are you using?
2729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: May 27, 2014, 05:01:44 AM
Indeed, very scary! I'm taking this very seriously. I've just finished underclocking everything possible. Some of the FrankenJup dies don't take kindly to just cutting everything back -0.1099/750MHz so I have to selectively boost some of the dies up a bit. According to the Advanced tab, wattage has dropped about 150 to 200w per 6 boards while losing ~100GHs.

I've also underclocked my previously overclocked Antminer S1s. I'll do my S2 too if I can find a tutorial somewhere.

Also, I'm changing my pool pump timer to only run at night when it's cooler and less things are using electricity in the house. And I just set the house thermostat to 86 during the day. I just bought a portable evaporative cooler that I can use in my office during the day and move to my bedroom at night. It doesn't use much power and lowers the ambient temp around 5 to 10 degrees.

How do I underclock the Nov Jupiters? Does the "-0.1099/750MHz" work ok with Nov Jupiters?

f anyone wants to sell please hmu!  Grin

Ill sell you my SP10s TODAY if you want them.
TOO loud.
AMEN. The 68 DB that they post on their site can't be correct! Surprised we aren't hearing from more disappointed customers.

I remember that I saw a measurement from a forum user with 70dB so they are correct. Can't remember who was it.
2732  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] 5TH/s BTC Olympus ZEUS Bitcoin Mining Rig Open for Sale. on: May 26, 2014, 10:47:11 AM
It's strange how it doesn't inspire confidence a small batch that was shipped, but other "important" companies, like Hashfast or BFL had your confidence in buying their products that never (or very late) got shipped.

I'm sorry, is not strange, they just tricked customers Smiley

We are on the market since 2013.
We already sold and shipped first batch months ago.
We got photos and videos to prove that.
We manufacture and sell one of the most powerful products on the market.
Except some minor issues, all our customers are happy with 3th/s Poseidon and we are working so Zeus will be received in the same way.

Where are the videos to prove that? Where are the customers?

Where is the proof that you actually shipped a small batch? What happened from the time of the small batch until now? Have you stopped selling units? How hard is to post a 1-2 mins live demo of a miner hashing?

In market since 2013, but it's almost June 2014 and there isn't a single solid proof about your product.
2733  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio - Shipping from stock on: May 26, 2014, 06:18:39 AM
hmm.. is this legit?

Of course. There is a review here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=525469.0 and a GB here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=598502.0 with people that already received their units (check the last pages).

Despite the rise of the exchange rate the price is the same!
2735  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: H/w Hosting Directory & Reputation on: May 25, 2014, 01:59:53 PM
Yes, you have to buy one of our miners and get it hosted for a 2.5% of its hashing power. You choose what and where you mine.

You do not qualify. This thread should be only for miners who would like to move their units somewhere else.
2736  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: H/w Hosting Directory & Reputation on: May 25, 2014, 11:07:16 AM
I would like to see a special package for bitcoin miners "first month free - additional 6 months commitment" in order to ease the shipping costs that miners have to pay upfront.
2737  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] 5TH/s BTC Olympus ZEUS Bitcoin Mining Rig Open for Sale. on: May 25, 2014, 08:36:36 AM

Here you can see some of the videos with cgminer pointed at eligius and btcguild.

http://btcolympus.com/testimonials/

We are LEGIT!

Sorry for shouting Smiley

How hard is to make a video right now? Or point a miner to Eligius? Or make a clear picture of the cgminer screen?

Sometimes i get the feeling, for some, nothing will be enough. Haters gonna' hate Smiley

Warm regards Wink

Well tell me what's enough? Fuzzy pictures of a cgminer screen? No customer review here? Just a unit in various places? Not a single clear picture of the chip?
2738  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] 5TH/s BTC Olympus ZEUS Bitcoin Mining Rig Open for Sale. on: May 25, 2014, 08:13:13 AM
Again not a single video with cgminer or at least a miner pointed to eligius so we can see it. I smell scam as always. POST FREAKING VIDEO OR IT'S A SCAM!

Where are the miners which will make them obsolete?

these are the miners which make them obsolete
 Grin
you're welcome

Thats only twice as efficient. I say" only" because it will take much more to make the miners obsolete. Need I remind you that some people are still making a profit off first gen AM cubes.

I doubt that these AM devices will he flying off the shelves when the next gen < 0.5w/gh miners are out but that won't make them obsolete especially for those with cheap electricity.

I'd guess these machines will run for an entire year before needing to be shut down. (Unless electricity costs are abnormally high)

It's not only about cheap electricity. The filling of the power circuit matters too. If a home miner has 5kW available then it's better for him to fill that with as many TH/s as possible by having the most efficient miners. By having 0.8W/GH the miner can have 6TH, instead of 4.5TH/s. It's an almost 50% more in hash rate for the same power circuit.
