1741  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive SpondooliesTech SP30 Setup [HD] on: August 27, 2014, 08:14:23 AM
The site says 2x1200watt power supplies and it's drawing 1500w from the wall.  But here is the kicker.. It says 3000w nominal power.  So does this machine operate at 2400w or 3000w at any given time?  Thanks

The machine will operate at 3000W. The PSUs can do 1200W, but they can be overclocked by 10% which would make them run at ~1320W. This is the power they feed to the chips. The power that they will draw will be 1500W per PSU.
1742  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 27, 2014, 07:38:42 AM
Happy now?

Of course not. You can't start hashing today with the AM Tube and you won't start hashing with the SP31 on 26 Ocbober. But please stop trying. The sales will speak for themselves. Do you think that you will receive any dividends in September?
1743  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 27, 2014, 06:41:07 AM
I mixed up the power consumption, it should be 1.09 w/gh not 1w/gh when overclocked. It's fixed now and the tube is still the most profitable. It's ~$1700 more profitable than the sp31 in half the amount of time.

Each tube is ~0.96 btc each and can be overclocked to 920 gh/s at 1000W. A modded server PSU is ~$25 per miner.

Except that you can't buy less than 10 units for that price which makes your calculation impossible to get that hashpower for that price. You need to either raise the price or lower the speed, but I'm used to your misleading information.

where is he being misleading? is what he posted not fact?

In order to get the price that he posted customers will need to buy at least 10 units. Trying to get only the stated hashrate will give you a higher price.

With that said I challenge anyone to show me a scenario where an SP31 is the best option.

From where can you buy AM Tube at that price?

Order #127X.
Got my tracking info.
Hope they get to Washington by Friday!

Same here, just received confirmation from Sponds that my GB machines have shipped along with tracking info  Grin

Estimated delivery date Wednesday September 3rd -_-

On what continent do you live?

You guys are so predictable. Someone launches a mining asset that clearly can not yield a long term profit if it does what is described in the prospectus. Expose that and you get labeled a paid shill/troll/whatever.

Once it becomes clear it will indeed not produce that profit, even though the asset issuer has done exactly as promised in the prospectus (okay, except for the p2pool vote), they get labeled as scammer.

Cryptx didnt scam you. He provided what he promised. And what I predicted. If you lost money on this, you only have yourself to blame for it.

Good job and nicely said!
1748  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will anyone buy a BTC miner now? on: August 26, 2014, 11:04:15 AM
Just wondering if anyone now will buy miners to mine. Considering the price... Cry

Got myself an SP31.
1749  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 26, 2014, 10:46:34 AM
And added to this how long will it take to get this refund , and what about the reservation fees those just went poof I guess

Yes, but Sean's Outpost, ckolivas, etotheipi and me thank you for it.
1750  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 26, 2014, 09:00:55 AM
OK caught up on that part...full refund means full refund on product...as to the GB hosting is that included in this refund option? (again unsure of my position on all this
just trying to get the facts) if GB hosting is a no refund option then no having no unit makes no sense.

thanks and again roadstress and to all involved in answering my question..I appreciate it....again just trying to get all the right info/facts.

Searing

Well just as you said. It makes no sense to refund only for the unit and not for the hosting so the hosting refund is mandatory.
1751  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 26, 2014, 08:47:11 AM
This is full refund in the sense that it is for the order itself as well as the compensation for the drop in speed from 6th to 4.5th? Just trying to be clear here the thread
keeps talking 'compensation' ..just want to make sure it is for the full price paid for the unit and not just the diff in speed compensation

Ok I'm intrigued....fine the GB can get fully refunded if that is the case above for the works..but does that include the GB with the hosting option? (I find it unlikely as it probably sits on a pallet to the Titan DC center!)

er also if a person did decide to take the refund route...who is contacted and when would such refund be sent out more or less?

Searing

Compensation and refund are 2 different things. Full refund means that you are getting what you paid for the unit.
1752  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 26, 2014, 07:24:44 AM
Your joking right? You ever heard of opportunity cost? I could have put that money to far better uses than an
Interest free loan for sp-tech.   I could deal with the lower hash rate and higer power use but this late

Shipping was just the icing on the cake

I am not joking, but first you complain about not getting a ROI and when I presented you the option to get your ROI you complain about different things. I don't like the late shipping either, but  you have 2 options available(refund, compensation+delivery) and you don't like any of them except for the one that is not possible (6Th/s and delivery 2 weeks ago).

That's the single most important issue in this situation.

Just as a closing point, why not show us all how clever you really are by demonstrating how an AM chip based system will make any ROI, comparing it to an SP30? I'd love to see it, I'll bet a lot of other would too and you've obviously got lots of time on you hands. If it's too difficult for you I'd be very pleased to help.

I admit that I think that the most important issue is the situation, but I will not go into details because of my "SP-Tech shill" status. I am glad that I am not the only one to see this.

As for the AM miners ROI don't forget to add 1 extra days for the countless screws that you have to mount.
1753  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 26, 2014, 07:01:52 AM
Of course I've seen that post, but it really tells me nothing,
The compensation I was offered is insufficient , like I said late shipping +
Less hashrate

Three months to ROI is not to short, my inital calculations based on the original 5.4 th and 2500 watt usage along
With a middle of August delivery had me making ROI in three months

Currently there no way I make ROI  in less thank 5  six months now which I unacceptable

It tells you that you can ask and get a refund if you are unsatisfied with the compensation plan. Even the full refund is insufficient?

Even after you have been fully refunded  + extra with no skin in the game, you continue to complain ?  You would have more than likely committed suicide by now if you had went with the Neptunes from KNC or another company.

Some people just like to complain...
1754  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 26, 2014, 06:07:18 AM
So honestly why would we not just get refunds at this point , with the current diff plus hosting costs its not really possible to break in less than three months , and who knows what the diff will be by then.  The big problem is we need

Not sure if bad intended or just missed this post

I know that you've been waiting patiently from April and I appreciate it. If you feel unhappy with your purchase, please contact sales@ immediately for a full refund.

Our main focus right now is to make sure all units are shipped in time and that each and everyone is contacted regarding the compensation preferences.
I'll be away from the thread for a few days, but you can still contact me in a PM. Please allow a few days to reply.
1755  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 26, 2014, 03:57:01 AM
I almost at breaking even point on ROI on 4 antminer s3! Bitmain u rock!

It's all gravy from September 2014 and onwards! This was the best purchase of mining hardware that I ever done!

The last line contradicts itself by my opinion and helps me to prove my point that after ROI the S3s will be useless.
1756  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 26, 2014, 03:48:26 AM
Anyone who invested in AM has already been paid back their original investment of 0.1 six times over.
The reason I want to know the final compensation is because it will influence my opinion on how the company handles a major fuckup and whether I will consider buying from them in the future.

I must ask, how can you have absolutely no shame? You sold ~200 overpriced miners which will never turn a profit (unless your SP-tech) and you deem it a huge success.

I think you mean anyone who invested in AM at IPO price. That was 2 years ago. The ones that bought at higher prices (4-6 BTC comes in mind) got no ROI because same as mining the ones that get in early get the most return.(hint: that's why I overpay for faster delivery). So stop comparing your AM experience with the others because it's not the same.

I sold nothing. Spondoolies-Tech sold the miners and as Guy previously said there were considerably less than 200.
1757  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 25, 2014, 09:41:46 PM
So how much is the final compensation? $1500?

Since you clearly aren't one of their customers ('cause then you'd know), the answer to your question is:

None of your business.

You should ask him about his AM dividends...
1758  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 25, 2014, 08:59:21 PM
So how much is the final compensation? $1500?

Is math that hard for you?

0.69*4500=3105

4500-3105= $1390

Is $1390 correct?

You are assuming that all GB members joined after the 6Th/s announcement, which is wrong. I told you in the past and I will repeat. Around half of your amount seems a decent compensation for me. I have no words on what's official.

Aww, Stress - you make me seem like some kind of fraud!  That sucks.

I guess there will be no problem then for Spondoolies to give back all the money I paid - right?

Of course. They just posted that.
