2721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 24, 2022, 10:21:30 AM

Yeah, for sure he has somewhat move on and positive on his next journey to the Nets and willing to be taught by one of the best shooters we have in the league. Maybe just a few tweaks in his shooting hand an form like follow through and others. And after that, confidence might build and he could attempt more shots and hit his free throws in crucial times.

He needed to adjust and learn how to listen and turned negative criticism into positive views.

If he will continue acting like a kid, he might find himself moving again to another team, with Kyrie playing with him
it's a tough call knowing that the other guy also has some attitude issues.

But, I hope KD will be able to build a good relationship with him and let the kid grow and learn how to be mature
handling all those negative auras about his career.
I think both have different issues though, and it seems that the Ben Simmons saga could be fix just like what the Nets are doing, getting Kyle to help Ben in his shooting.

For the Irving, it's really personal, I mean he doesn't want to get vaccinated. So he cannot play the whole remaining of the regular games.

Still boils down to KD, he will be the glue if the wanted the Nets to move to the playoffs.
2722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World War III & Bitcoin on: February 24, 2022, 09:37:17 AM
I don't think there will be WWIII though, it's an exaggeration. US is not that stupid to go into war with Russia, they could together with NATO find a solution thru diplomacy. If Putin is not interested then financial sanctions could be impose. As for bitcoin price and speculation, for sure the market has been affected as we might see more drops to even lows of $30k. But it doesn't mean it's the end though, we would recover that's for sure. It might take months or years, but bitcoin will not die with this war.
2723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was tempted to sell off altcoin on: February 24, 2022, 08:54:45 AM
I will say that the 4 year cycle is still in effect, so base on that, I will say that we are indeed in a long bear market that could last 2-3 years.

As for your portfolio, if you haven't heard, Putin started to mobilized his troops and attack Ukraine. So the war has started and all the financial markets have been hit by this news.

So it might be good for that you sold off because of the uncertainty surrounding this event.
2724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: February 23, 2022, 07:33:05 PM
But as far as the odds, Spence seems to be a sure winner.
Sorry, I disagree, for me, it seems like the odds is not the only way to determine that the fighter is  a sure winner.
If I'm not mistaken, the odds of Pacman vs Ugas is pretty much similar to this fight, but Ugas upset Pacman and retain the belt.

And I agree that a money line bet doesn't makes any sense. Much better to go for a per round winning on him.

But I don't think this will be an easy fight, Ugas might be a good underdog here. He also wanted to show that he belongs to the elite of welterweight after beating Manny and been talking even a fight with Crawford in the future.
If I can see the odds for per round, I would certainly choose it over a ML bet, that if I will bet on Spence to win.
Remember that Spence was also inactive for a while, so the edge is only Ugas.
Upset can happen here, and I think both of them are in their prime. We all know that odds are sometimes not accurate as we have seen upsets like in the Manny vs Ugas and recently Kambosos vs Lopez. So there is a possibility, might be slim but there are chances that Ugas can pull something here. And if by chance he did and someone here bet on him, then it will be a good win.
2725  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $100k? on: February 23, 2022, 06:42:48 PM
Yeah, I think majority here predicts that $100k is not going to happen this year. We have touch the all time high already for this bull run's cycle. So 2017=$19k, then 2021=$69k.
No one knows for sure what price bitcoin will reach in 2022. We know that $69K is the 2021 high, but we really can't resist another ATH if the demand for bitcoin during 2022 increases. The price trend in the last 3 months seems to be down but we can always expect a recovery even if FUD continues to hit the market.

So we do the math and see what will be the next all time high around 2025. So looking ahead, we should start saving BTC again and not think of it as reaching 6 digits this year. At least we will not be disappointment if it does (although myself is already prepared for the worst).
Experienced investors are certainly more patient with surviving the years of volatility in bitcoin price and therefore they have the opportunity to earn bigger than others when bitcoin hits ATH. It's about the opportunity to collect more bitcoin on a dip, but not recommended for those who can't take the risk.  $100K there is always a possibility in the future [this year or the next few years].
I'm talking base on the past historical logs of bitcoin, it's all over the place, after halving the price seems to grow tremendously, for sure you know this one and you can't deny it. I agree that we don't know the price in 2022, but again we can look back as how it moves on a bear market.

That's why I said be a smart investor, everything here is base on risk, if you can't take it maybe bitcoin investment is not for you. Be wise and smart and for sure you will be good here specially if you are keen for longer investment, or simply be a holder.
2726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 23, 2022, 05:49:51 PM

Checking those lines, I'm eyeing for GSW, but I'll wait. ML and Handicap seem not interesting.
Maybe during live game it will change up, going to wait for something that will value my money. Tongue

The handicap is +7 for the Blazers,.. I think that's too high to cover considering the Warriors are not yet pretty dominant in the past games, but if you will take the ML, it's still not attractive too because they are -7, so most likely that will only be 1.20 or 1.30.. but you are right, get them during live, just hope that the Warriors will be down a double digit early so you'll get a good odds.
Curry though might have gain so much confidence with his shooting that we might end his worst shooting percentage for a month so I'm thinking that the Warriors can cover the spread.

Plus we all know that the Blazers are in a disarray right now, and still no Dame.

Of course, we love to go bet on live, lots of advantage, but a handicap might be good for Warriors to cover.
2727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 23, 2022, 11:54:59 AM
^^ It's too early to say what will happen to Casimero, but yeah for sure he will have this in mind and could be a nuisance for him specially if media from the Philippines are going to interview him because for sure his subject will be brought up. He is not guilty yet so let justice go on its proper course. Maybe the girl is telling the truth or not, its only the judge that can decide base on evidence and facts presented.
2728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: February 22, 2022, 01:40:28 PM
No matter how high crypto coins go bear market is unavoidable it's just the way the market survives, many people are brainwashed with present market condition that they already forget what bear market is, no amount of money can stop bear market from happening, don't say I don't warn you be prepared.
Only those who believed that the price are going on a parabolic rise are either delusional or just a newbie in crypto market. And if they haven't seen the last bear market which started in 2018-2020, then obviously they haven't experience it, thus they think that there is no such thing as bear market. But it good that they are going to experience and feel it the first time so that they will be hardened by it and next time they will know how to react.
2729  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $100k? on: February 22, 2022, 12:46:05 PM
I think it's very likely that bitcoin price will hit $100k at least mid this year. If we remember November of last year, it seemed like only a matter of time the Bitcoin price would hit $100k. Right now I see bitcoin price movements slowly starting to rise. Therefore, the $100k price level seems to be within reach, which means we are closer to the top this year.

Looking to see bitcoin price chart this year very interesting. Now very difficult to predict market situation is contusion. This year similar time bitcoin touched $64k+ and now bitcoin price $44k+. I hope bitcoin price will be more increase this year and bitcoin price will hit $100k+ in 2022.
Wait mate, what? this year similar time Bitcoin touched 64k? when was that? can you put when this happened because i never find it there.
Bitcoin reached 68k last November 2021,  and not 64k , and in February last year the price is even lower than what is the price today.
so sorry if i missed something?
also there are chances that bitcoin may touched 100k in 2024-2025m but not this 2022.
Yeah, I think majority here predicts that $100k is not going to happen this year. We have touch the all time high already for this bull run's cycle. So 2017=$19k, then 2021=$69k. 2730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 22, 2022, 11:08:57 AM
Casimero is a champion, I think he can find a good gym to train. He is into a big fight so the team will certainly invest on that, besides, Casimero is the favorite, so most likely he will win the fight and would have a chance to fight Inoue if the monster will accept the challenge.
That's very likely. About the training, they won't just go to a place without the best gym to go to. It's all been planned and they have a game plan to follow.
We're just waiting for the day that Casimero will win against Butler. It could be hard as what the others are thinking and Butler will give him a good fight. But in the end, most of the speculations are into him favoring that he'll win this match.
I think the hardest thing here for Casimero is to get on the right weight, but about the fight, I guess he will dominate as usual. Butler is just an aggressive fighter, Casimero would not have a hard time using his timing to hurt with this counter punch, I can see that kind of scenario that's why I'm confident.
There's still enough time for him to get the right weight and I'm sure that his team is strict on it so that when the weigh day comes, there's no problem by that day.
About the possible outcome of the actual fight, we still don't know but what we're all thinking is that he's going to win the fight no matter what. And after that, maybe a few months after his fight and recovery, the next match is in.
As long as there is some expert in this team, a dietitian to control his weight and what he eats then there will be no issues. The problem is, as stated above, is that he has some problem with the financial support. He still have some time in his side though, adjust his diet and make the weight cut and rehydrate after so that he can maintain his power.
Who would support him? I think he already made money in the past and that for sure if he manages his funds properly, he will be able to prepare for this big fight. I understand that we are still in a pandemic now, but it's their responsibility to ensure that they are fully ready and therefore they have to prepare for it and do all the necessary things to achieve it.
We really don't know if he has the financial capacity to sustain himself, of course he has money from previous fight. But we all know how Filipino are, they are not only going to support their family, but their immediate relatives as well. I saw one video of him gifting his brother with a Macbook and 2 Iphones if I'm not mistaken. So that is big amount of money in the Philippines already. And the total purse for this fight is not that big, then minus the trainer or whoever in his team and then the promotional company that he is under now. So there is a lot of financials that enter the picture here, it's not that he is getting millions of dollars in every fight. And how many Filipino boxers goes broke after they have their time and won for their country, majority of them didn't save when they retire, just saying.

After Kobe's death, it's not as enjoyable as it used to be, even though he's not playing, I wish I could watch him in the stands and be able to see him Sad
That's a bit scary if you ask me. Yes, I'd love to watch him play again, but not as a ghost, it would be better if just in my dreams.  Wink
I just recently watched the 75th anniversary with all the greatest being called and when Kobe was introduced it brought tears in my eyes. He was so young and could've helped more young players in the league but it was all gone just like that.
Somehow, other great players putting effort to appear at Cleveland made me happy again specially for the old ones. It brings back good memories.
There were even reports that the GOAT, Michael Jordan might not attend the 75th Anniversary Ceremony at All-Star because he is with his The 23XI Racing team, which he co owns.

But after the race, which his driver finished 2nd if I'm not mistaken, he had to board his private jet en route to the NBA All-Star. And that's what we call the best move, trying to beat the clock again.  Grin
2732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 22, 2022, 09:32:21 AM
I'm currently looking at the next game between Phoenix vs. OKC. This Suns will be without CP3 due to injury but I think Booker and the rest can still manage a win against a struggling OKC. I'm just wondering at what spread is the most likely outcome? It sounds easy to take Phoenix (-9.5) @ 1.83 but teams at the bottom are unpredictable. OKC (9.5) @1.96 could be covered as well. Thoughts?
It will be very difficult for the Suns to covered the spread in my opinion without their great point guard. But they could win the game against OKC though. And looking at the odds of +10.5, its around 1.83 against -10.5 of 1.93. Clearly the betting public know that it's better to bet on OKC with that spread than to risk it with the Suns wihout CP3.
2733  Economy / Speculation / Re: The long term way is down on: February 21, 2022, 09:55:35 PM
I'm not confused that BTC will reach a new ATH this year anymore since we entered 2022 every recoveries are not strong, on the long run the way is always down, what do you think? I'm i wrong or right?
We are already in a bear market, so with that, we will not see anymore all time high for bitcoin this year. And it shows that we are still in a 4 year cycle, 2017 bull run and then we have 2021. And after that epic and massive run, it's time for the bears to take the market again for 2 years. So adjust your trading strategy and buy when bitcoin is on a dip.
2734  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Crash in The Next 2 Weeks? on: February 21, 2022, 09:03:06 PM
Someone wrote this on Twitter, how true is it?

Quote
Biden's regulation will knock it out the next 2 weeks. Stock Market crash will intensify the pain in March. After that, I'll buy.
Nobody really knows, although the price is is experiencing another downside on the last couple o days. I saw it went as low as $37k, but now recovering to $38k.

And if it the news has negative effect on the market so be it, we've seen bitcoin crashes before, but it's not the end of the world. Bitcoin is so resilient that it has the capacity to bounce back, (and thanks to it's speculators and traders and investors).

That was a nice All-star game

Ya, it was great. Curry put on a shooting exhibition and the guys from Cleveland all had great games to the delight of the hometown fans. LeBron finishing off the game with the winning shot for his 5-0 all star game team captain record. It was Curry’s night though. One of the greatest all star game performances I’ve seen. Makes you think he should be shooting the ball from half court a lot more often. He deserved the MVP.

The great all star game made up for the terrible dunk contest. Until next year…

The upset brought by the dunk contest has been covered up by this amazing all star game result and indeed it was a great night for curry, he deserve those trophy and no doubt that he is the best shooter of all time for sealing that up in all star game. For sure many GSW fans has been hype up for the result of the game.
Yeah, at least the game didn't fail us, there are a lot of highlights in the game. But definitely, the video game mode of Curry was enough for us basketball fans to go crazy everything he shoots the 3 ball. Even James admitted that Curry was not of this planet with that kind of shooting. So let's see what it will do to Curry after the break. I mean he has the worst shooting slump of his career and for sure with the way he shoots tonight, he will somewhat get confidence again.
2737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 21, 2022, 10:36:29 AM
Ryan Garcia talking about his split with long time trainer Eddy Reynoso:

Quote
“Eddy didn’t have the time to work 100%. He’s a very busy trainer, and I understand,” Garcia told ESNews. “Sometimes you have to make your change for the better. It’s nothing against him. He’s a good trainer. I won five fights with him by knockout, so there’s nothing wrong. I’m going to another level, and I need a full-on, 100% [trainer]. It was never bad blood. It was about dedication and time, you know?”

https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-opens-up-about-split-from-reynoso-he-time-work-100--164252

What's your take on this? He said that Eddy doesn't have time for him.

But on the other hand, Canelo himself criticized Garcia in public saying that Ryan doesn't not give everything in training.
We really don't know what the true story is, maybe Canelo is telling the truth here because he have seen Ryan grow. On the other hand, Eddy has so many stable of boxers to train, he has Oscar Valdez who is fighting Stevenson next. And now Ryan enters the picture, so Eddy doesn't have time to train Ryan 100%. So it's only right that Ryan hire someone that can train him for his upcoming fight because it's only a big one as this is a comeback fight for him.
2738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 19, 2022, 03:31:06 AM
So here are the odds as per sportsbet.io

Ryan Garcia - 1.08
Emmanuel Tagoe - 6.60

So there is a huge gap as far as the odds goes. And it seems that Ryan Garcia is a sure win to win this fight.

No other betting options available though, might be better to bet on which exact rounds will Garcia will win, or the range of rounds.

There will surely be more betting options available in the coming days. For now, the opening odds are limited to money line betting. I also checked the odds days ago and they are quite discouraging. Although I could place a minimum bet for Tagoe for the sake of the high return but I really doubt he could defeat Ryan. But who knows what effects Ryan Garcia's more than one year of inactivity has to his boxing power and skills? Somebody might think it is worth the risk. For me, I'd rather wait for more options.

For a long shot, a Tagoe bet will be really be attractive, maybe he could upset Garcia. But as you have said, this is Ryan's comeback fight so for sure he wants us to be impressed with him again so I doubt that he will allow an upset from a relatively unknown fighter. So as I have said, for us who are not a whale but smart bettor, we will rather wait for other options so that we can get bang for our money. And if ever we lose it's not that huge amount.
2739  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC over 50k? on: February 19, 2022, 02:51:30 AM
Nonetheless, experts may seem to predict the current situation and that bitcoin will likely experience a steep drop in the upcoming months.
But is it really possible for bitcoin to achieve $50k by march? Given that the market is currently declining.
What are your thoughts on this?
With so little time remaining during this month this seems like something difficult, the price is now very close to go back to the high 30k levels and this could create some panic, after all a great deal of people were convinced that we had left those levels behind for good, but now it seems as if soon enough we will see those kind of prices again, so for the time being I will forget about bitcoin reaching 50k and instead concentrate on whether or not bitcoin will remain above 40k for the time being.
^ The price of BTC now could be predicted by the fundamental which is depend on social media news, when there is a ban happen or rejecting BTCyone will get panic and sell instead BTC did not affect, it will create a massive dump because of the naive seller which is don't know how to hold their assets. BTC possibly will not go down far beyond $40 this month, I have a strong feeling and I believe BTC will go to the moon this year probably in the middle of this year.
But we go down for a brief moment and then the bulls regain $40k again, but it's hard to see if they can defend it or not as the news sends shockwave not just for crypto market but every other assets like gold and oil, (although gold has a quick rebound).

So we might see ~$40k in less than 24 hours from now, not that I wanted to sound like loom and doom but it's better to anticipated that we might enter another bearish trend starting next week.
