2721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is risky, be conscious on: February 15, 2023, 11:54:49 PM
One major reason why one needs to be very careful while trading is the emotional hallucination involved when there is a loss. Many people believe that during trading, risk is one major thing that one must take, but when the risk taken finally materialises into reality and brings loss, they suffer heart pressure which sometimes make them lose their mind and sometimes cause depression.
Risk is always involved when we trade and when we invest, that's why it will never be one and is always present. And when we say about risk, there's a tendency that you really will lose and at the same time, you'll get some fine chances to profit.

It is therefore good to take note of the fact that failure is part of success, because Everytime that one fails, there is an experience gathered, and that experience makes them do well in their next trading.
That's so true, no success person that didn't go through with failures in the hustle that they make. Learn from failures and mistakes and those losses incurred treat them as your enrollment ticket fee.

A rumor was said by Shams that no team wants to pursue Russel Westbrook.

2723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alts Blood Bath for Feb? on: February 15, 2023, 10:56:42 PM
I am also not sure what's happening but the most recent, bitcoin and eth pumped and then we all know what's next with these. Most of the crypto in the market was up again.
Although it's common to see those losers every day whenever these two movements, we're all sure that everything is doing fine. But just like you, I don't know what's the reason why there was a sudden push a while ago.
While after this push, I am now expecting that we might see some bloods again on the weekend.
2724  Economy / Speculation / Re: How was your belief formed? on: February 15, 2023, 10:28:16 PM
But to be honest, I personally also sometimes feel doubtful for some time but I'm always reminded of the initial purpose of investing in bitcoin and why I believe in it.
It's like having guilt because the results aren't yet there. I guess this is normal for everyone to think of when we're thinking of what we've done and if we invested correctly.
Just think of the actual purpose at all times so that you won't be feeling guilt about your investment. That's something to be dealt of as an investor because this could be a reason for us to start selling in a panic when we're emotional within that day. It's good that you're always being reminded by that purpose as why you bought bitcoin.
2725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 15, 2023, 09:57:58 PM
Going to jump in for Gilas at this moment, what can you say that Kelly Williams is offered to play for the team? He's already added to the pool though. He's one of the best PBA players that I've grown up with but at his age, do you think that he'll be able to make and play his role while we know that he's already aged?
Did a quick look on the 24 man pool of Gilas that is in center position and it seems like they only got June Mar Fajardo and Raymond Almazan on the list. Kai Sotto will likely miss out the games while Japeth and Kouame are injured. LINK

This is the reason why they contacted Kelly Williams and offered to play for the team. I don't know, but they might try and get Mo Tautuaa as well if he's available. Overall, Williams' age might affect his performance, but he's playing well still in the PBA so maybe he can be a good back-up center for the Gilas, but with limited minutes I guess. They can't afford to do small line-ups as well because PH players are smaller than those of other countries that they are facing with.
Yeah, most of the big men will be absent on the next window and that's why they even added Williams on the pool even if he's too old enough to be part of it.
I do agree that Mo is a good addition to be considered by them but maybe, they really have considered that but Mo or his management didn't agree with to their wishlist.
2726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is suitable and reliable for staking? on: February 15, 2023, 07:41:32 PM
AFAIK, Kava is one of the highest APY out there. But if it's going to be the choice, I've done it with BNB and even if I'm not that stacked with it, I'm happily earning as I stake it.
Yeah, there are risks with staking all of them in any platforms that you don't have the keys and that's why choose the wallet or platform where you're holding the keys of your wallet.
2727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Signs of a better year for btc investors on: February 15, 2023, 01:02:19 PM
Still not bad news and bad economic global this year and make Bitcoin keep stable in higher price, I don't think for next month keep bitcoin stable or have good progress back again to higher price and give positive impact for all investor have waiting longer time seeing Bitcoin back above $30,000 until $40,000.
We do really crave to see it back and up by $30k+ but we have to be patient at these times because whenever bitcoin is stable, that's when the unexpected movements come.
But I'll just take and agree that this year was a great starter for bitcoin and if this continues up to next year when the halving is scheduled to happen. This progress will show positive results.
2728  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding could be better on: February 15, 2023, 11:27:06 AM
There are different types of investors in this crypto market, many of them are interested in short term profit and there are many who want to stay away from it all. They are long term believers. A holder always get the highest advantage from all the aspects in crypto currency investment. But for this, he has to be patient enough. Holdings are relatively low risk and hassle free investment method. A large part of crypto investors are just trust holdings. Those who hold the appropriate coins will be benefited. But as easy as it seems to hold, it is not easy.
It's not just the long term holders or investors get the high advantage. Short term investors get it as well as they're taking advantage of the market and if we're too stable for quite a while, they're trading within timeframes that they're comfortable with and sees the profit from it.
That's why both really are profitable but you have to choose on which side you're more profitable, on this case, I'm more profitable by being a long term holder and sees the advantage on it.
2729  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: February 15, 2023, 10:22:02 AM
2730  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: February 15, 2023, 12:49:42 AM
Tama ka at more bondings to come pa sa kanilang dalawa.
2731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB & BUSD Under Attack on: February 14, 2023, 11:59:02 PM
I'm still looking at it and good thing that it's not that much on my portfolio. Whatever comes in this situation and if it will be worse then I'll quickly act on it to convert it to another asset that I have.

But as per the CZ's recent tweet, "Ignore FUD, fake news, attacks, etc." it is clear that both BNB and BUSD will recover the price soon.
We get this all the time from these CEOs even if there's something that's really happening into their fence. But will still consider that as he's the one who has opened the idea about FTX however, it doesn't mean that he can't get f***ed with his things.
2732  Economy / Economics / Re: In your country, today is money the real root of all evil? on: February 14, 2023, 11:28:45 PM
It is not money that has two sides but it is the person that uses it. And that's why there are corrupt people because they're thinking of something evil for which they'll use the money for that purpose.
We're using the money for things that we need and if that's the purpose and use of it then we'll not see a bad use of it. But as I've said, the two sides of it is going to depend to the person's intention of using it.
Its the person who uses the money and this is where intents could be applied and money had been blamed up all the way which is really very wrong.Money could be evil if its been used on the bad way but we

do know that it is really just a tool on which we've been using for us to live and make spending. Its been used on daily transactions but there are people who do make this transaction into those evil deeds and doings
which it turns out that it do took the blame.

Temptation because of greediness is common.Who doesnt love money? None. but when you are on the situation where you are aiming for more and do go past up with limitation
then it is already that wrong.
Greediness is there and that temptation should be avoided when you know what's best for yourself. It's not going to bring you any good and having it as a habit will change you a lot from your personality.
Experiencing the good and bad things in life will certainly hit you badly and you might be ending up with the conclusion that it's one of the solutions that yo have to come up with. But when you've been past with years of life, you'll see the importance that someone has to come up and find their happiness in life and it's not just all about money although we admit the importance of it as we can't buy our necessities without it.

2734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth staking stablecoins? on: February 14, 2023, 10:33:30 PM
Every gain that it gives is worth it. But most of these platforms have their own risks based on the security that they have. If it's for these De-Fi apps, they're mostly being targeted and sometimes, a bug can be seen and abused by users.
When it happens, the funds are being sucked by those abusers and then if they're hacked, you don't expect something in return through a refund because, at most times, they don't have a reserve. As for the other options, the best possible other options you can make is to convert it to bitcoin.

The fact that there's no way to claim stolen/hacked funds alone, makes me quite skeptical about "De-Fi". But adding a third-party to help solve this, would greatly "De-Fi's" original purpose of "being your own bank". I guess that's the cost you pay for decentralization and censorship-resistance. It will be up to you to DYOR regarding the "De-Fi" app you're willing to deposit stablecoins into, before regretting yourself in the long run.

If the code of the smart contract has not been audited by a reputable security company, then the risk of losing your funds would be extremely high. Even those smart contracts that are audited, have their own set of issues (nothing's perfect anyways). I'd cash out my stablecoin profits as quickly as I can to help prevent losing it all in an instant. Who knows if "De-Fi" improves over time until it becomes a "force to reckon with"? Just my thoughts Grin
What's wrong with these auditing firms is that they're not even accurate at all. I remember news from Binance that they've been audited and somehow it tends to be an inaccurate audit.
Well, with all of these news and hacks from De-Fi, I don't really give an interest on them and that's why when someone thinks of investing or wanting to take their share there and talks to me how optimistic they are, I'm telling them already the disadvantage of it.
2735  Economy / Economics / Re: In your country, today is money the real root of all evil? on: February 14, 2023, 09:48:41 PM
Money, of course, has 2 different sides, it can be a devil or an angel, but for now what is happening in my country is more of a devil, this is because many people do anything because of money, the poor can rob money, the rich can bribe the government to commit crimes such as clearing land, burning forests, and so on, nowadays many people are not ashamed when they are caught in corruption cases, when they have money then the law can be easily bought.
2736  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to sell bitcoin before the next bear market starts? on: February 14, 2023, 09:16:25 PM
There will be times when you need to cut loss. Setting a limit will help you cut those losses before you entirely wipe out your balance based on the market's move.
And knowing when to sell your bitcoin, you've got to plan it out. As we approach to another month and we're already half of February, there could be a lot of changes in the pricing. Sometimes we think that we shouldn't sell when we're at a total loss but that's okay when you manage to cut loss when you're unsure to avoid further losses.

Setting a limit can under some circumstances also be a strategy that is prone to mistakes. What about a situation where some unexpected event creates huge positive price momentum but you set a limit? I think that everyone is well advised to keep a close eye other investments and relevant microeconomic and macroeconomic events as much as possible. Not everyone has the time to nonstop watch their investments and analyze everything and then setting limits is the least you can do. But especially when we are talking about Bitcoin there are so many things that can happen and that have an impact on the price that taking a bare minimum of time to analyze some content of the most relevant industry sources is advisable.
Yeah, that's the drawback of setting a limit but it's a better thing if you only set the limit for cut loss and you'll just have to monitor it about the price increases and that's what I'm taking about so you can mitigate your losses instead of your profits.
I know that there are traders that would set a price for selling so that it will be done automatically for them and that's the satisfying part that they wanna do. And if it's profit then, that's the goal whether you get low or high of it.
2737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 14, 2023, 08:44:57 PM
I've also read that thing about CP3 telling that Suns should also acquire Melo. It's written in some articles and sports publishing websites.

I think it's quite reliable enough to consider that Chris Paul indeed asked the Suns management to acquire Carmelo Anthony in the free agency as this news has been spreading throughout almost every sports outlet. I mean, we couldn't blame the man because he is indeed feeling that this might be his last chance to get at least one ring before he starts considering a retirement as he's already approaching his 40s as well.

And I don't view Melo as a liability because the man can still provide good contribution coming from the bench and while it's evident right now that the Suns is lacking role players before they gave a big portion of the roster just to get KD.
Yes, he can contribute to the team by any means that he can. Not just by playing but also by being one of the backbones of the team.
Since they're jam-packed with good players if they ever acquire Melo and are added to the team. They'll for sure going to give him some space and playing time as well.
But then, as you've said he's not going to be a liability but they have to consider on how much contract they're going to offer him.
2738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners with Alzheimer's. How do you work it out? on: February 14, 2023, 08:16:44 PM
I don't want to be diagnosed and I don't want to consult any help and I think mine's condition is still manageable.
Well, this is a dangerous decision and to say the truth, an egoistical one too, because it's not only about you, but also about close people who will have to take care of you, in emergencies or diseases' situations. They also deserve to know what is going on with you, so they can assist in the best manner as possible, guided and advised by professionals.

There is no reason to avoid seeking for help. There is no shame on it. Each of us will have to seek for help at some moment in our lives. Nobody is self-sufficient and unbeatable. By doing this, you will be showing love and respect for yourself (your welfare) and also for your beloved ones.
I'm still good though and even if I experience it, you know that there's this fear of knowing the truth and being diagnosed with something that I may have a hard time accepting. And that's the reason why I'm just ignoring it for now. I've already told my immediate family that my memory isn't like before and I'm easy to forget things but so far as I've said, it's manageable. I'm scared somehow as I see stories like this but yeah until it becomes too much for me, I'll just enjoy things while I can.
