Could bitcoin prevent crime?

I believe Bitcoin transactions via online wallets could prevent crime. People are going to use Bitcoin for legal and illegal transactions, however criminal transactions are susceptible to crime as cash is used for the transaction...which encourages theft. If bitcoin were used for these shady transactions, perhaps with escrow, there would be no opportunity to steal currency - couldn't this prevent crime? (Aside from the original criminal transaction of course!)

it works for honest people, but for those who do criminals, I think it will not work. why? because they sometimes do not want to use an escrow. I've ever seen a campaign (if I am not mistaken) or a service thread asked people to do something without an escrow, then a few people trusted it, and finally it was a scam. so even we have escrows, it does not mean they can prevent criminals.
2742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you remember the very first time you sent a Bitcoin transaction? on: January 29, 2017, 12:51:53 PM
I was afraid of sending to wrong address because I saw a friend was so sad when he sent bitcoin to a wrong address, so I checked a few times the address before sending. you know, I almost memorize the address because I saw it many times. haha. that was so funny actually.
2743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing bitcoin is not that easy on: January 29, 2017, 08:57:35 AM
Yesterday was a research forum of thesis school project and I actually did introduce in our system about using bitcoin as a payment processor aside from paypal, visa, bank transfer or whatsoever. I actually do assume it that no one actually cares so expected things did really happened.

However there is this one jurry stated that bitcoin is really prawn to money laundering and he ask if how would a certain business owner risk it and that made me realize that he is somehow right and that leads to other quedtion about the exchanger sites which follows KYc policies to prevent or atleast minimize the risk of money laundering however it violates also the main feature of bitcoin which is the anonymous transactions

I wonder how you explained bitcoin to them. I think they misunderstood, but there is possibility that you explained bitcoin in a wrong way. I just want to ask you, in what language did you explain bitcoin to them? your native language or English? and what did you emphasize about bitcoin?
2744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a crypto enthusiast? What has driven you into becoming one? on: January 27, 2017, 11:45:39 PM
when I firts knew about bitcoin, I just did not trust it. in my mind, internet money is scam. but then my friend proofed me that it worked. so I tried to collect some pennies. and it worked. in the first time, I just earned very little amount and then as time goes, I can earn more.
2745  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Restaurants accepting bitcoin! on: January 27, 2017, 11:31:32 PM
that is a nice site. I see they offer map to the restaurants, and there are some names of cities where the restaurants are there. but sadly there is no country of Asia on the list. I hope someday there will be Asia on the list.
2746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy a car with bitcoin on: January 27, 2017, 11:19:30 PM
I never heard about that site before. I just even see someone claimed that he bought a car by bitcoin, but a few people was doubt about it.

well, does the site have kind of testimony of people who have bought the car by bitcoin? if it does, then I think you can trust it.
2747  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The most interesting Bitcoin topic articles you ever had read? on: January 27, 2017, 10:57:51 PM
the most interesting thread I ever read is about bitcoin paper. it was said that OP of that thread never read that paper before even he has hero member account.

besides, I also like thread about the list of signature campaigns.
2748  Economy / Services / Re: looking for signature on: January 27, 2017, 08:29:40 AM
I want to joined in any signature campaign who accept me   Undecided
i will change signature code once accepted.

You can check this thread with almost all the signature campaign existing on the forum.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

it would be better to look for signature campaign through the link rather than create a thread like this because you are the one who need the job. the dev who runs the signature campaign does not need to look for thread like this, but they just wait until people register in the signature campaign thread.
2749  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What are you looking to buy in BitcoinTalk Marketplace? on: January 27, 2017, 07:57:56 AM
I visit marketplace section just to see what kind of stuff people here sell. I am a little bit interested in bitcoin t-shirt but sometimes the sellers are from the other countries. but if I find a seller from my country and I agree with the price, probably I would buy it.
2750  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: signature campaign vs social media campaign, which is more effective? on: January 26, 2017, 10:31:50 AM
It is both effective to be honest. Doing signature campaign and Social media campaign are just contributing something on the success of a project of a certain coin(the Cryptocurrencies), but in different aspects and ways. In the Social media campaign like twitter and facebook, this way, people that have no idea about Cryptocurrencies would be inform that such thing exist, since most of the people right now only knows cash, while in the signature campaign the people that they are informing are those people knows cryptocurrencies and the ones that do social media campaigns.

when you do social media signature campaign, it means that you need to explain a little about cryptocurrency or bitcoin. even there are many rich people on social media, but probably they do not know cryptocurrency. however, it is good to promote cryptocurrency too. but I prefer signature campaign on this forum. it is more effective.
2751  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to be a signature campaign manager? on: January 26, 2017, 10:04:29 AM
If you don't know anything about it, maybe you're better off not being one.
(This might sound harsh, but actually, it's the best advice I can give you.)

thank you for your reply Mr. Lutpin. it's good to get an advice from an experienced signature campaign manager. I think when you first learn about this job, you knew nothing. I just want to learn. If I think I cannot do it, I wont.

Being a campaign manager is quite a lot of work. You have to keep track of all users, count their posts, disqualify low quality posts, look through user applications to accept/deny bitcointalk members, and keep your users stats updated in a spreadsheet.

There is also probably much more, I'm speaking based out of assumptions as I've never managed a signature campaign.

If you're good at staying organized and being efficient, you could look into being a signature campaign manager. However, you will need to do a lot more research.

it will take more time to qualify the posts of users because when you are really want to pay those who post constructive posts, you need to read it and the thread too.

however, keep learning and that is right to ask those signature campaign managers who are experienced.
2752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Filthy scammers, cheats, hackers, thieves, conmen, fools and protestants. on: January 26, 2017, 04:35:28 AM
fiat is no better

bank thefts
blackmails
murders for hire
pickpockets
card cloners
nigerian price phone scams
phishing for love 'my love i need hospital bill paid or i die next week
sugar daddies, girls marrying old guys just to get name on a will
corporate money laundering
the list goes on

the only difference between fiat and bitcoin is there is less (never zero, but less) chance of knowing who the other party is to slap them with a wet fish/court order.

so never trade with anyone you dont know anything about. unless you can slap them with a wetfish/court order should they do you wrong, dont trade.

AKA.. rule 1: stranger danger

that is right. in order to get money inclufing bitcoin, a few people take bad ways. it exists in all currency, not in bitcoin only.

so I think, why this happens is because the users theirselves. however here in my country, I do not find that high amount of criminals of bitcoin even fiat.
2753  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BITSANE.COM Cryptocurrency Exchange Platform Is Now Live on: January 24, 2017, 11:04:24 PM
I cannot say I have traded using an exchange's API before. Can anyone give me a step by step in how to use it? It would be nice to automate things when I need to be away from my computer. Or sometimes automation could be useful to take away the emotions from trading.

I never use API too before. I think you need to google it or ask the other traders personally because I think here is not the right place to ask.

well, congratulation for bitsane to add API feature on the platform. the development is going better. I hope it will be better and better.

2755  Economy / Economics / Re: What influences the Bitcoin marketplace? on: January 24, 2017, 10:36:13 PM
Bitcoin marketplace is influenced by government regulations, supply and demand, FUD, hype, Adoption News, development and Market manipulation.  We all know that there is a possible whale controlling the bitcoin price.  Whales can easily make Bitcoin price up or plummet it, depends on what is beneficial to him.

it is right. we can say that all points you mention is the factors that influence bitcoin, but the factor that we can see the most is demand of bitcoin. I think demands of bitcoin increases since the price was so high. beside that promotion of bitcoin users to another people also influence bitcoin use.
2756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fiverr no longer accepts Bitcoin on: January 24, 2017, 10:20:32 PM
Did they give a reason why they are not accepting btc anymore?

Yes.  They said it was because Bitcoin is now dead.

then fiver was wrong about bitcoin. bitcoin is still alive. so I think they have the other reason.

well, that is nice information. at least we have the other website that offers freelnace that accept bitcoins. so thank you for the link too.
2757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started? on: January 24, 2017, 10:14:22 PM
when I first started to earn bitcoin, I joined a signature campaign even the income was too small. then I tried to post, but a few of my posts were deleted. then my account was banned. I asked my friend what's wrong, then he said that I posted out of topic. then I learned and learned, and finally here I am.
2758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin related businesses do you own? on: January 24, 2017, 02:54:25 PM
I just buy watches from my bitcoin earning and then I sell it again with a higher price to my college friends and my family. I do not accept bitcoin yet as payment, but I want to accept it soon. I just do not know to whom I should offer the watches because I do not know many bitcoin users in my area.
2759  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Legit Bitcoin Doublers? on: January 24, 2017, 02:43:50 PM
Hi I have been doing online business for awhile now but I'm fairly new to bitcoin and I've been paid 0.01000000 btc for helping in advertising on social media. Now I've seen some adverts that offer to multiply your bit coins for twice their value for 24 hours but I dunno if they are scam.
I suggest you not to trust this kind of service. I heard most of them are scams. so stay away from them.

to double your bitcoin, holding them and wait for 2-5 years is better and safer than trust them in a dobler service.
2760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Easiest way to convert money into BTC? on: January 24, 2017, 02:33:29 PM
I think I know easier way than the way you mention. we can convert our bitcoin into fiat by selling those bitcoins in a local online exchanger like vip.bitcoin. so the money will be transferred into your friend's account. rather than sending messages to bank.
