2741  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New asic Avalon miner will come soon on: June 20, 2013, 09:59:34 PM
Greaterninja sent me a really rude PM claiming I didn't know what an SMT was and how I was so stupid. Then he blocked/ignored me so I can't even respond and explain myself.

Out of all the assholes I've met on these forums, this guy takes the cake... what an ass hat.

Of course I know what SMT does, as I've said three times now to your greaterninja, this can be used for their future generation of miners on a smaller process node and not a Batch 4....
2742  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New asic Avalon miner will come soon on: June 20, 2013, 09:34:54 PM
Sigh.. yes I read what you said in this and the other thread, but you obviously didn't read what I said.

"The equipment can be used for their second generation of chips based on a smaller process node.."

Of course they MIGHT make a batch 4. They also MIGHT <insert anything they could possibly do here>.

You think you're being some kind of prophet or something, when in reality you are stating the obvious that everyone has already thought of themselves.
2743  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New asic Avalon miner will come soon on: June 20, 2013, 08:43:27 PM
http://support.avalon-asic.com/support/tickets/new

They should put other in the drop down.  The survey, Yifu's survey response, SMT machines, and this screenshot of them leaving the drop down selection of "Fourth Batch" on the helpdesk site tells me they plan to have a batch#4 and possibly much more than that.

Stop spreading this misinformation. Bitsy com himself stated that there may not be a batch 4.

The equipment can be used for their second generation of chips based on a smaller process node..

Your "evidence" is based on a drop down menu on their support page, which BitSyncom confirmed is an easy way to filter out the questions sent to support about if there is going to be a batch 4 or not.

I'm very sorry to hear this CrazyBlane, it is quite unfortunate.

Good luck finding the perpetrator.
2746  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon's New Factory! ;D on: June 20, 2013, 01:58:41 AM
Everyone (or some people) ITT are forgetting that Avalon wants to develop a new chip on a smaller process node.

Certainly they can use all this fancy equipment for Avalon v2 production and assembly.
2747  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recieved 50GH BFL Single Today! on: June 20, 2013, 01:26:53 AM
Slok: Oh, wow... ya I missed that.

I retract my previous statement.

I can't stand people that have multiple accounts.. so shady...
2748  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recieved 50GH BFL Single Today! on: June 20, 2013, 12:55:14 AM
It seems Garr's hands are tied behind his back, cut him some slack.

He cannot refute the claims for fear of his orders being cancelled. Cancelled orders would not only hurt him, but his mining company (and investors), and people that have purchased some of his orders.

Stop being silly insisting he explain himself... maybe after his orders are delivered, we can revisit this issue.

But until then, it is heartless to insist he explain himself with the possibility of his order being cancelled if he does.
2749  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recieved 50GH BFL Single Today! on: June 19, 2013, 08:15:20 PM
I was actually going to order 100-150 BFL chips, but after realizing they will cancel orders because of complaining... no thanks. I'll give my money to someone else.
2750  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recieved 50GH BFL Single Today! on: June 19, 2013, 03:21:45 PM
Has anyone else received one? Deciding if I should upgrade to the 60GH unit.

Not that I know of
2751  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recieved 50GH BFL Single Today! on: June 19, 2013, 05:33:27 AM

This kind of angers me... BFL gives promoters the items out of line.

I have the absolute first SC Single order (#1656), and not even a shipping notification yet.

How come on http://bfl.ptz.ro/ you entered your order as a Jalapeno not a Single?

There are 6 singles on that page with earlier paid dates than the one you entered.

People also pay with Paypal so Bitpay records are kind of meaningless.

Either way... ASICs were delivered to puppets that will post about it on the forums and/or write a news article about it, in front of paying customers that paid before the puppets..

We still end up with the same outcome...
2752  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recieved 50GH BFL Single Today! on: June 19, 2013, 05:26:10 AM
Sorry for modifying your quote.. no harm intended.

Your frustration is completely understood by me, I would be the same way.

Good luck going forward.
2753  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recieved 50GH BFL Single Today! on: June 19, 2013, 05:07:47 AM
This means that BFL is shipping units to people who promise to promote their products.

Duh...

This wasn't apparent to you a month ago when codinginmysleep, et al... received their Jalapenos before paying customers that ordered before them???

+1 impressive

It is too bad you don't sell your products to the rest of the world though... you allow lucky Russian citizens to charge huge mark ups for customers wanting to buy your product in the rest of the world. If they are going to ship worldwide for a profit, why not charge more and ship worldwide yourselves?

I would have bought some units, but honestly I didn't want to order through some sketchy Jr. member. I trust you Bitfury, but not some random person that is reselling your units for profit...
2755  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] First 500Gh/s BFL unit up and running! on: June 19, 2013, 04:34:12 AM
Ok, so one customer got a single.

And one customer got 1/3rd of a mini-rig.

While that is still not what we all want ... it IS a start.

And hopefully BFL can ramp up from here and finally give us our orders!!

At least BFL customers are wising up..

Re: "We're shipping!!!!! Honestly... Seriously, I'm honestly being serious that we're shipping... honestly. (I'm totally honestly serious.)"
2756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin FPGA! on: June 19, 2013, 04:31:41 AM
Increased efficiency against the hashrate:price.

hows it turning out so far?

30% so I think its a good start.

FYI: 30% price to hash rate... I'm still interested. I'll save it in power costs over a year.  Wink
2757  Other / Meta / Re: Custom Hardware Organization? on: June 19, 2013, 04:19:57 AM
Thank you guys!!!!

We can now discuss custom hardware options without the clutter of group buys for them... perfect.

Thanks again!  Smiley
2758  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] First 500Gh/s BFL unit up and running! on: June 19, 2013, 03:35:35 AM
Well. They exist.
That is much better than yesterday (and the preceding 12 months).

Am I wrong or am I right?

I guess we will wait and see, however they also shipped their first Single... to one person.

They also now shipped their first mini rig... to one person.

Lets see if they can deliver multiple units to different customers, not puppets they delivered to and requested they post a review on the forums (like the first single receiver admitted to and like gigaVPS was requested to do by assumption because he's one of their biggest mini rig customers/supporters)....
2759  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] First 500Gh/s BFL unit up and running! on: June 19, 2013, 03:28:21 AM
BFL is finally shipping significant hash rate! Hopefully, they get the singles and mini-rigs out to everyone in 2-3 weeks so they can get some of their BTC back before Avalon and KNCMiner (possibly) deliver.

Oh, the irony

Well, if they string it out over 90 days...some people are going to get wrecked.

Honestly I think this is more smoke and mirrors by BFL.

They are shipping BOTH mini rigs and singles, honest, honestly, they honestly are.....

(the rest of the suckers that ordered singles and mini rigs can wait weeks-months, but this shipment is mainly to produce more preorders.)
2760  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Block Erupter USB owners won't make ROI??? on: June 19, 2013, 03:24:37 AM
Anyone considered the re-sale value?

The only people that are going to make money on Block Erupters are ASICMINER, their shareholders, and the resellers...

Of course people have thought about reselling them... that's the only way to profit from them from the outside looking in.
