2761  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] First 500Gh/s BFL unit up and running! on: June 19, 2013, 03:05:36 AM
BFL is finally shipping significant hash rate! Hopefully, they get the singles and mini-rigs out to everyone in 2-3 weeks so they can get some of their BTC back before Avalon and KNCMiner (possibly) deliver.

Oh, the irony

Not as far as I'm aware.  Undecided

2764  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Avalon mining with customer hardware? Answer is here. on: June 18, 2013, 09:14:55 PM
lol @ BitSyncom threatening to refund for customers that complain.

Like... wtf... how dare you threaten your customers like that... you are no better than BFL when you start doing that kind of shit, that is just wrong.

You realize most of my orders are not even mine? Some people have payed up to 2.5x what I originally payed just to get shares in payouts of the equipment I ordered. Do you realize how pissed these people will be when I tell them that BitSyncom cancelled my order and they now get <however much they payed> divided by 2.5 back?

Not only would they be quite mad, but I would be seeking any legal recourse possible for loss of income, the negative impact this would have on my reputation, and also on behalf of all the angry investors.

Customers have the right to complain, especially in this case because the complaints stem directly from your false promises and inability to deliver.
2765  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Avalon mining with customer hardware? Answer is here. on: June 18, 2013, 03:50:41 PM
IF this is true, it is complete and utter bullshit.

I did not give Avalon a free loan to mine a million Bitcoins on top of the millions of dollars they made from hardware sales when they got greedy and jacked the prices up for Batch 3.

It was a fair price IF they delivered it when they said they would, but they are now over a month and a half late...

Your customers deserve some sort of recourse, especially if you've been mining on our hardware. That is totally unacceptable.

If this turns out to be true, I will never buy anything from Avalon ever again.

I thought they were opening up orders today?

Everything is out of stock.

2769  Other / Meta / Re: Custom Hardware Organization? on: June 18, 2013, 05:35:29 AM
Sections need to be vendor-neutral. What do you think of:

Mining
    Hardware
        [directly in Hardware: ASIC, etc.]
        Low-performance hardware (CPU, GPU, etc.)
        Group buys

I'll move everything currently in Hardware directly to Low-performance and everything in Custom Hardware to Hardware.

Are more sections than this needed?

This sounds perfect.  Smiley

Having a separate sub forum for group buys will clear out most of the clutter. Make sure to put up a notice like in the securities subforum that you don't remove likely scams, etc... bound to be some scammers that pop up in there. Cheers, and thanks!

what's his handle on this forum? I'll contact him too, but the place I sent the files to, didn't complain and said they will provide quotes

This seems to be him.

Who's gonna do it?

There are so so so many options to get Avalon chips assembled... almost too many.

Hopefully at least one of you are planning on doing the same for BFL chips???

Before I plop down $7k on 100 chips, I'd like to know I will have somewhere to get them assembled.  Grin
sent the files to a local place in Chicago here.  waiting for quotes "Quoting quantity for all 3 projects will be: 10, 100, 500, 1k and 5k.Grin
the other projects are Klondike 1 and 16

It seems the files they released are not enough to simply hand it over to a manufacturing company.

"@BFL_Nasser - could you post a zipped project? It would be great to have the Schematic elements as well as the PCB. A packaged project would be ideal.

These files are not enough to build a decent board without a lot of fiddling, especially if one wanted to go to a full production run. It would take about 2 weeks to get a serious Altium project out of this with all of the supply chain and schematic elements in place.

If anyone is seriously working on a BFL ASIC based project, I am an electronic engineer with a decade of experience and an up to date seat and subscription to Altium Designer. I made a quick dump of the final artwork for the PCB, but this needs a lot more 'paperwork' and documentation before it can be manufactured. @BillJ BitforceSC-finalprints-UNFORMATTED-17062013.pdf"

Come on mods... 2.2% say the subforum is fine the way it is.

It is obvious something needs to be done.....

What newmars was saying is that TH is based out of the Bay area of Cali.
The ebay auction is from Portland, and doubtful to be terrahash's listing.

You can check whatever you want in your E-bay preferences.

And, it takes about 30 seconds to make your computer appear like it's from Portland, or Slovenia (nothing against Slovenia), or whatever location you want.

So, while your observation is noted, it still does not exonerate Terrahash.

I would like an official Terrahash response to the question of "Why are they selling nonworking Klondike 16 units on Ebay?", before I request a scammer tag in the proper forum.

The final design has not been finalized by the community designer, and there is no software (to my knowledge) which will run the unit right now.

Again, I'm not flaming anybody. I am simply requesting information and pointing out (potentially uncomfortable) inconsistencies (as a service to the community).

Stop posting before you embarrass yourself further. You are being silly. The Ebay auction is not Terrahash....
