2761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My wish for bounty projects that seem impossible on: February 06, 2020, 10:39:37 PM
This is just a wish, I hoped for it and asked around but yet it seem impossible, the best thing in ever wished for on this forum is bounty projects should start paying in bitcoin or stable coins to bounty hunters, doing this will avoid dumping their tokens buh .... I guess its not going to work since most new projects have no money to do so. they are better off paying hunters in their very own token, damn!

If this is your wish then do something to make it come true! For instance you could stop accepting shitcoins for your work.

This is not an explanation that projects don't have money. If they don't have money for promotion they should wait until they get some, apply for croudfunding or get sponsors.
Try to start a real business and tell employees that they have to work for free because you don't have money Cheesy They will laugh at you and leave.
2762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coronavirus & quarantine & effect on BTC Difficulty. How Bad/Likely? Poll! on: February 06, 2020, 10:19:14 PM
I think that it will have no effect. The virus is more of a scare than a real threat for the country.
You can check statistics here https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

There were only a little over 500 deaths worldwide out of which almost all were in China. There will not be an lack of workforce as the Virus kills weak and old people, usually recovering from another form of illness, just like other types of flu used to do.

If you have some immunity problems, like you have AIDS and you get a normal flu you have hgh probability of dying but nobody will make a big deal out of it if it really happens. Now if this is a new mutated flu everything changes. Now you're part of a completely new statistical group.
2763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun had a dinner with Warren Buffet! on: February 06, 2020, 10:05:12 PM
I don't like TRX and Sun talks like a scammer most of the time. I just don't fdeel like this guy is someone whose advice I'd follow. I used to like Charlie Lee before he dumped his LTC, buty at least he was honest about it.

Has anyone noticed that all these rich guys have very poorly made suits? I'd expect to see something like this worn by a school teacher, but these guys are millionaires. Most of them have far too long pants and Warren's shoes look pretty worn and dirty.
2764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tom Lee: bitcoin could soar nearly 200% in the next six months(new) on: February 06, 2020, 09:52:41 PM
If Tom is predicting this then it's going to happen, just like all his other predictions.

Statistically speaking your probability of getting a good short now have increased 10 times Cheesy

Also, I don't get why he's always so overly optimistic. A normal trader would expect a 20% gain before the halving. Tom is always in the hundreds.
Bitcoin looks like it wants to correct after reaching 10 thousand not go 200% up to a new all time high.
2765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whoa, Ethereum breaks the $200 barrier on: February 06, 2020, 01:55:49 AM
ETH suffered when the ICO bubble started to deflate and IMO BTC halving is helping it recover.

It's very probable that if BTC goes to new highs ETH will follow despite no ICOs this time.

It's still to early to say that the altcoin season has started but it's back to what we could call normal.
2766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most of ALTCOINS are dead or worthless? on: February 06, 2020, 01:48:19 AM
Don't blame ETH for ICO scams. It's not the fault of ERC20 tokens that people fail to see them for what they really are (mostly just a way to donate to devs). Nobody is making yo pay for those things. It's not the fault of a rotten apple or the guy selling rotten apples, it's the fault of the buyer!

Most altcoins are worthless because they have no use. People were making them to gather money or just to make something different. Different doesn't mean useful.
2767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is digital gold good? on: February 05, 2020, 12:04:10 AM
If you mean by digital gold "btc" you should know that this is very risky and 40% is too much.
If you are talking about gold based tokens or other things like it you should know that you did not actually recieve gold. This may be a problem for you but this can be traded much easier than real gold
The potential gain is much highetr than risk. How much can Bitcoin go up? 10 times? 50 times? It all depends on the adoption rate. Some people projected that 1% worldwide adoption would already give us a million dollar for 1 Bitcoin. What is the risk then? That it will dump 20% in a day? Then you will lose just 20% that's not a lot compared to a possible 100% gain before the halving and 500% gain in the next 2 years.
2768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Chain or Binance DEX hype is gone! on: February 04, 2020, 11:51:35 PM
Last time I checked those exchange tokens were still catching fairly high prices, pumping even.

ICO and IEO market is kind of dead

We are seeing project raise funds in traditional ways now and i think this will ensure more quality projects and less scams appearing in the industry

For example look at TemTum - raised 10M USD, built their mainnet and apps before launching, now trading on two exchanges, good volume and an MOU with a nation state to run a digital currency for that country - i dont think this would have been achieved from a traditional ICO project as they dont answer to investors in the same way and see it as free money

I agree can't wait to see TemTum go to the moon!!  Smiley

You shill accounts couldn't be more obvious.
2769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Methods that fraudsters use to scam people on: February 04, 2020, 11:45:10 PM

Bitcoin scams

What is a "bitcoin scam"?  A scam where someone promises to pay you in Bitcoin but doesn't? Cheesy

On topic
The most common scams are the ones where scammers don't really have to do anything like stealing from you or bruteforcing your password. They just make a site or just a thread and wait for naive people to send them money. They buy domains that look very similar to the real ones and change a few things so that instead of sending money to a casino or a mixer you're sending everything to them or they offer you an investment with 500% yearly return and you send them crypto thinking it's a real thing.
2770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing 1$ every day in bitcoin over the last five years on: February 04, 2020, 11:33:59 PM
This market is one of those that favour strong hands and dedicated investors.

For those of you who complain about Bitcoin not even being worth 10 thousand dollars after reaching 20 thousand 2 years ago, you could make a small fortune in 2019 and early 2020 by simply buying and holding. Bitcoin gave uyou so many opportunities for that by staying below 6000 dollars for months and then going close to 10 thousand on multiple ocasions. If you were lucky you could even catch that 14 thousand pump and triple your money!

2771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US marshals seizure of 4000 btc being auctioned, will start dump/run this month? on: February 04, 2020, 11:24:25 PM
No. This was discussed multiple times times!

There will be no dump.

In recent times, these police auctions haven't seen the BTC being sold at much lower than spot rate.

Coins are auctioned off at a premium. In the past those who were buying were paying more than they would by bying on a regular market. It would be stupid for them to lose money trying to sell. Obviously they want to avoid exchanges and that's why they're choosing to buy in bulk and pay more. They aren't going to run to Binance, do KYC there and start dumping at a loss.

Read about fresh minted Bitcoins catching premium prices. People are ready to pay more for unused Bitcoins so they're also ready to pay more to avoid shady exchanges, especially the Chinese ones.
2772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Bitcoin: Internet’s Native Money or Asset for Speculation? on: February 04, 2020, 11:10:01 PM
They need to look at numbers and not take facts out of their asses. If Bitcoin is not a good store of value then how come all people who bought before Winter of 2017 have more than they had in terms of real value?

If you bought a car in 2013-17 with your fiat and someone else bought Bitcoin that other guy can now buy 10 or more of similar new cars. To me that's an obvious case of growth and that's more than I need from a store of value.
2773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins do you Hold ? on: February 04, 2020, 11:05:17 PM
I used to hold more altcoins but I grew out of it and learned that differentiating doesn't work well in the crypto world.

At the moment I have mostly Bitcoin with a little bit of ETH and BCH that I didn't claim and sell yet. I sold most of mY BCH but there's still some left. I have some ECA and Waves that I'm staking but that's less than 1% of my portfolio.
2774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A clue on how to make them see that bitcoin isn't a scam on: February 02, 2020, 11:07:41 PM
The basic psychology of talking to someone about the things you wantthem to see in a positive way is not to bring out negative connotations. You just don't use the word scam until they do and divert them from the word as quickly as possible.

If they ask they heard about bitcoin scams you just say that the number of these scams is still much lower than the ones done in the fiat world.
2775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Win a Presidential plane... on: February 02, 2020, 10:59:50 PM
Selling it wouldn't be very difficult. Many private companies need jets and I'm sure you'd be able to find a rich collector who'd take it of your hands.

~ if I am from Mexico I'll definitely going to buy a ticket.

Maybe you forgot about the price of one ticket, which is $25. As far as I know, not everyone in Mexico can easily afford to lose that amount of money. And since the chance of winning is 1 in 6 million, buying a ticket almost equals to throwing the money away. That's why the price for a lottery ticket in more economically developed countries is around $2-$3, not everybody can afford spending more than that on a ticket even there, let alone in Mexico.

This is true, the price is very high for a lottery ticket and the prize isn't as good as the money. You can spend money at any moment but a plane is a burden you'll have to sell or find another use for it like a tourist attraction.
2776  Economy / Speculation / Re: Start buying on: February 02, 2020, 10:52:36 PM

¿WTF? .. I'll answer that.

6000 yes
7000 yes
9000 no (wait, this is artificially inflated)
8000 yes

I bought in every low. I just registered in this forum. So actually this is one of my firsts topics. & many agree that at THIS TIME, buying that dip was a good move. It will be difficult seeing low 8k or 7k again.

So there you go.
Next time try to make questions a little bit less easier, so it's challenging.

Not that difficult to sell at 8 or 9 thousand Wink Looks like this time you were wrong.
Does it mean that now we are in a level that is artificially inflated? We are over 9 thousand. What if we fall from 9400 back to 9000 will it still be artificially inflated no buy zone for you?
You're being silly. The value obviously is at 10 thousand and the price is drawn to that lavel but people are to scared after 2 years of bear market. There's nothing artificial about 9 thousand!
2777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You own a decent amount of Bitcoin, How would you increase it on: February 02, 2020, 10:43:18 PM
But my question is why do you want to keep increasing your bitcoins? I use bitcoin as a flowing water. It keeps coming and going. I earn money in bitcoins, I earn profits through bitcoins, I sell my bitcoins, I spend money on comforts and this keep on going. What is the fun in holding coins for indefinite period? You may be millionaire one day and may lose 30-40% of your wealth the other day. Ask Chris Larsen about this. He became world's 5th richest person when the price of Ripple crossed $3. But what about present? He's once again out of top 20.

So better keep spending your cryptos rather than accumulating them. Enjoy your life and maintain the decorum of cryptocurrencies as a currency.

Seriously? You don't see the benefit in holding? Bitcoin's value continues to grow which makes it an ideal thing for long term investment. If you keep spending it you'll miss out on all the potential profit. I had my BTC when it was worth $1 thousand and I had it when it was $20 thousand. This is an insane growth in value and spending wouldn't allow me to profit.

You can lose 30% of your wealth in one day, but only if you buy at the top of the bubble. Don't compare a centralized shitcoin that XRP is to Bitcoin. It's apples and oranges.
2778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: February 02, 2020, 10:31:25 PM
I gamble when I feel bored or it comes to my mind and wakes up that drive. It's like the need to eat something. Sometimes you want a normal dinner and sometimes you want to eat some fast food. For me gambling is like that fast food you eat once a month or twice a month and forget about it.
2779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The profitability and effort put into different ways of earning bitcoin on: February 02, 2020, 10:23:42 PM
I believe that each participant in a company’s signature invests their time and labor, even if this is not the equivalent of money, then it still has a certain value.  And if you consider that most of the projects in recent years do not show good results, not to mention of course fraud, then this activity for the user brings minimal income.

Writing for a campaign isn't a very labor intensive job Wink It takes time, but can be done while listening to music and drinking a beer. I wish other jobs were as relaxing.

Idon't know what you mean in the second part. I'm talking about signature campaigns not some ICO investments. If you write for a campaign it doesn't matter how the project does in future you'll still get paid daily or weekly for your effort.
2780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The profitability and effort put into different ways of earning bitcoin on: February 01, 2020, 08:16:06 PM
You're not taking an important factor into account which is the investment.
A signature campaign doesn't need any investment to begin! This means that it may earn you much more than trading if you're only trading with something like $500. Also it doesn't put your money at risk at all it's always pure profit. You're wrong in so many things in this diagram. HYIP is not high risk. Scams don't count!
