Can't avoid the manipulation, just need to see tomorrow how far down it has gone. I doubt it will go lower than $3700 as there is a lot of support there and even the manipulators don't want it to fall that low or it may not recover

The forked coins are likely to be a scam so people are selling ethereum to avoid the hassle of making them compatible with the new ethereum. They will probably buy back after the fork if all goes well.

EOS is still a speculative investment as it hasn't been fully developed yet. To over throw ethereum it has to be deployed quickly before they sort out the scaling problem. 2019 will be a neck and neck race between EOS and Cardano

EOS is filled with hype buy hasn't actually delivered anything worth 4 billion dollars. They are touted as the ethereum killer and it may well happen in the future but so far there aren't any killer DAPPs and the prices hasn't skyrocketed either. Might happen later this year though, worth hodling some just in case

I have tried to do a buyback at the low point but then the token falls further  I think general acceptance of a failed investment will help to mitigate losses mentally, and then move on to more profitable coins and hope for the best. Airdrops will also help if you can find a good one |

Zcash is impressive because it is a privacy coin that has managed to get listed on the big exchanges. It also proves that there isn't much of a demand for privacy as most people just trade it without turning on the privacy feature. Most dark web users use monero anyway

There are many ways to become rich but you need to find a way that suits you. Some will trade on the stock exchanges because they are familiar with it and read the FT every day. Others may prefer crypto as they are more IT literate and are interested in the technology

The luxury hospitality industry is all about cash which they have a lot of. It is unlikely that they will change to an unknown token, but it is a good idea. It will need a big name backer to make it succeed, like someone famous using it in the real world

Cardano has some potential so i'm going to hodl for a bit longer and wait for the platform release. Not going all in as it's too speculative but worth holding some in case it does deliver something amazing. There is a lot of hype around ADA and it will probably get on coinbase in 2019

It's good to have diversity right now, it is hard to predict which ones are going to succeed in 2019. I notice a lack of privacy coins which you should add to your basket, pivx is good but not as well recognised as the bigger privacy coins like zcash and monero

People need to be aware of the amount of ethereum floating around at the moment and who is holding it. Many ICOs have dumped it and bailed out of their projects, while others are waiting to do the same. This will have a negative impact on the ethereum prices

This is the reason why ICOs have been banned in some countries while others are enforcing regulation and KYC. However, the KYC and other checks needs to be done on the team running the ICO rather than the investor to ensure that the project is legit.

Ethereum is in a strong position as the ICO king. However, as an investment it is best to buy during the early stages before the product is launched. EOS is therefore a better investment as the returns are going to bigger in the longer term

Why are people talking about digibyte here it's just a shitcoin compared to monero. Between the two i'd pick monero any day as it has proven to be the top privacy coin in the market right now, even ranked higher than dash which is a grand achievement

These non-working ICOs are a real disappointment, but i guess we should understand that products take time to develop and that the investments are purely speculation. EOS raised billions and they don't have a working product yet. Hopefully 2019 will bring in the professionals that will drive crypto towards mainstream adoption

We should not assume that the Chinese government will block crypto forever. They ave plans to be a global economic powerhouse and that can't be achieved without involvement in Crypto. NEO is in prime position as it is fully compliant within the local laws and it is product ready, unlike eos and cardano which have released nothing

Even nostradamus would be able to predict where this market is heading. One would expect the BAKKT to lift the markets, but then the stock market is crashing right now and confidence in the markets is low. I think we will see frequent ups and downs in the near future, but long term will be up

If petro fails and you are living in venezuela then the population there will have to rely on bitcoins because their own currency is basically worthless and it is hard to get US dollars. Hopefully bitcoin will save the people from starvation and decay

I don't think they can move the market with their funds, i don't think it's enough, i wouldn't be worry that much only whales can bring down the market and no one else, a single scammer wouldn't be able to do anything to the market.
Everything is not as rosy as you imagine. Recall, at least, the EOS, which periodically sells its 400k eth, thereby affecting the exchange rate of the currency itself. Yes, as for the EOS, we are dealing with a competitor of the eth, who is really interested in this, but it still clearly shows how such a sale affects the currency exchange rate. Now imagine that in the conditions of the market, with small volumes of trades (as we have seen recently), some kind of scam project will sell at least 2-5k ether. And you think it will not affect the course of the eth? You are wrong. EOS is simply waiting for the right time before dumping ethereum out of the market. EOS doesn't have a usable product yet, but when it does and becomes close to toppling ethereum they will dump all their holdings of ETH and sideline them down the shitcoin market |

buterin will never leave ethereum, he is the figurehead of this company and he knows that if he does go then it will simply fall. Perhaps he will sideline himself from day to day work and just be on the 'board' heading some type of community forum
