I have followed a number of threads on this site regarding the Callisto airdrop. The speculative price varies from $0.10 to $5. Hard for anyone to make a decision on such a range. I bought ETC both for the airdrop and to diversify my portfolio.

I tried forkdelta for first time today.Managed to transfer 0.003 ether for gas and an ERC-20 token to do a test. The ether and token were received in the wallet without any problem. Had problem transferring into exchange area at top left as it kept saying I did not have enough gas. When I returned to try again later it had transferred but 0.002 ether has been used which I thought was high. No problem as I am testing.
 My concern is that the trade expires after 10000 blocks. What happens if trade is not concluded? Do I lose my 0.002 ether? Is it possible to change the number of blocks before placing trade?

I have not heard of exchanges supporting this airdrop so I am storing mine on myetherwallet. If you have your own wallet with private key you should get them.

Bitcoin is not a HYIP. A HYIP is a scam from the start. It gives a high dividend to attract investors. Once enough money has been obtained it closes. Bitcoin does not give dividend and one person does not control bitcoin to close the system.

After recent fall in ETC against other cryptos I bought today. I moved them into myetherwallet so should get the airdrop but not sure if the new coins will be worth much. Really bought the ETC to increase my portfolio range.

Just had a look at etherflyer exchange. Although it has a good listing of ERC-20 tokens there does not appear to be any volume. Is this a new exchange?

ETC is showing a drop of over 4% against ether on kucoin. Seems a good time to buy for the fork and recovery.

I think it is hit and miss. You receive ERC-20 tokens with airdrops. Some have value while others are not worth the cost of exchanging.

I am holding the main coins,btc,litecoin,ether and neo. Looking to diversify away from them. Which exchanges list cardano as it sounds interesting for future holding.

I would not suggest you sell. At the moment you have a paper loss but if you sell you will realise that loss. Is it possible to change into other coins that may increase faster and above the price you paid? If you believe they will not drop further then if you do not exchange it is probably best to hold for recovery. Many investors in stocks would buy more after a crash to lower the average price paid so recovery price would not be so high. Only for the brave though.

I saw the rise in NEO today. I thought it was just a reversal of recent price drop. There is an airdrop due to holders so perhaps this has increased demand for a few days.

NEO had a good rise today against most coins including bitcoin. This is in reverse to a drop in price in the last few weeks. I am still holding NEO as  I believe it has a good future.

There are many good and well established alts in the market at the moment that can hold their own against fiat or bitcoin. The biggest risk,or biggest potential perhaps, are new or less well-known coins.

IOTA could have a good future but it needs to be on more exchanges. I use a number of exchanges and only one lists it. Needs to be in the crypto news more.

Stock market is obviously more established and better known than cryptocurrency investment. As media spread news about crypto more investors will join. Cryptos are much more volatile than stocks.

I do not think paypal will accept bitcoin as there is too much risk of cashback claims. Paypal will not,at the moment,accept blockchain transaction as proof of sending payments.

I recently updated electrum wallet on my laptop which uses windows 7. There is a security problem with older version of electrum so try to update. I have a similar strange problem with my spare laptop. It does not recognise captcha input so I cannot access any site that requires completing a captcha for access.

It should be remembered that almost all coins are down from their 2017 peaks. Bitcoin fell to half its highest point. Ripple is part of that fall. If cryptos recover a good rate then ripple will do same and may outperform.

The main problem with airdrops,apart from not receiving the tokens, is that the cost of the exchanging them to other coins makes them almost worthless. Finding more than one exchange listing them can also be a problem.
