281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: All my money in 1 altcoin - Too risky? on: June 15, 2018, 02:20:53 AM
Hi,
the altocoin market is so variuous and there are dozen of interesting projects that can be supported.

But  i'm a little investor (500$) and i'm seriously thinking to put all my money in only 1 project I think is very good which curretly is in the top 40 of altcoins. I don't want to say the name because my topic wants to be very general: what do you think is the risk  by doing so? Should I invest in 2 or 3 coins instead?

Thanks

I think your move can be consider not risky if you choose the best coin in your solo investment like Ethereum which is the best choice for an Altcoins investment but if you choose coins that the potential is uncertain then better not to put all of your eggs in one basket this is to minimize  the risks of losing your money.
282  Economy / Economics / Re: Which Asian countries have the greatest influence on bitcoin? on: June 14, 2018, 09:18:33 AM

Countries with large amounts of virtual currency transactions such as China, Japan, Korean and India with the increasing trend of many brands continuing to expand their payment operations in Bitcoin, this currency will rise to a peak of $ 20,000 in 2017.
However, recent bad news from Asian countries Bitcoin price is going down very fast. Yesterday bitcoin price continues to fall deep down to 8,200$ and possibly more.
In particular, China and India have a great influence on the BTC currency because the number of bitcoin traders is huge

I don't think India will have that much transaction and influence on Bitcoin to think that the government of this nation is not supporters of Bitcoin investment. If they truly support Bitcoin then they should think twice on banning this investment https://ambcrypto.com/bitcoin-btc-banned-in-india-reserve-bank-of-india-releases-an-official-statement/ so that the Indian people could fully support Bitcoin existence. Japan is the best and the most popular in Asia as Bitcoin user as they use Bitcoin capabilities at its fullest.
283  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are You Afraid of KYC? on: June 13, 2018, 09:25:17 AM

I can see that soon almost exchanges and even ICO programs will be requiring us to do the KYC procedures where we are required to pass copies of our legal documents before we are granted entrance or the use of the services or programs we are interested with. This can be as common as having a password or 2FA.

Now, personally I have no big problem with it though just like anybody else am also concerned that my personal information can be divulged to anybody or a group that might use it for any illegal purpose. This is one risk we are facing once we are actively living in the online world. Evil people who can be thousands of miles away can now be just one click away.

What are your apprehensions about the KYC procedures that will soon be as popular as noodles?

I don't have arguments about KYC because as long as we are a legit people and the project ICO is a legit investment then there is nothing wrong with KYC requirements. Just make sure that the project is for real to ensure that our data will not be easily stolen because we like or not we are required to comply with the law if we want to join this crypto investment.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how do you choose Altcoin .. ?? on: June 13, 2018, 06:26:05 AM
How do you choose Altcoin...??!
And how do you choose a bounty project ... ??!
Please give me your opinion, because your opinion will be very useful for me who is still as a beginner ..

In investing in Altcoin i make sure that the commodities are feasible to the masses because good projects will surely attract people to invest on this ICO and in talking of bounties i choose the bounty managers that have good reputation and experiences of handling the bounties because a good bounty manager will ensure that the project is good because their reputation is at stake.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs in 2018 not same as 2017. on: June 13, 2018, 02:04:51 AM
this is my own opinion but it may help others.

I have found that all the ICOs i have invested in have launched at almost the ICO price but in a few days dipped below the ICO prices by half or 5X for some.

With this i have discovered its better not to invest in an ICO but wait for the launch and the DIP to buy it at the corrected prices made by market forces.
Its just too hard to tell the real or recommended value of a token in an ICO these days.

Hope this helps to the new investors thinking of ICOs

I think its still so early to judged because we are stll half a  year before the overall this year performance of all ICO will end. I have observed that last year good performance was start in 4th quarter in which most of the ICO become successful therefore i suggest to wait for the last quarter to finish before we compare the performance of the 2 years.
286  Economy / Speculation / Re: 800 Days Left before BTC Raise Again on: June 12, 2018, 08:56:10 AM
According to this guy, we need to suffer for at least 800 days .
Before the price came in. rofl

We can't see the picture please replace it with the link but anyway i don't believe that we will still wait for as long as two more years before the bullish mode of Bitcoin. If the guy is an expert but i have knew more famous experts than him saying that Bitcoin price will reach the ATH of $20,000 again this year therefore who is telling the truth now? I suggest we don't easily believe in some predictions especially if this is a FUD but better we just keep on holding our Bitcoin then lets wait and see because who knows the bullish market is just around the corner.
287  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that a whale moved 8k BTC? on: June 12, 2018, 02:55:03 AM
Hello,
I heard that there is a whale that moved 8k BTC to an exchange and that what caused the price to go down in addition of Stop-Losses being triggered. Is that true? What do you think? If it's true I consider it to be a big problem as we clearly see that whales manipulate the market easily which is harmful.

No! This time the big whales has nothing to do to this current price falls in which the report say it just a normal thing for the holders to sell their Bitcoins but it create panic to some investors and also it says about Coin Rail hack in which it makes some South Korean Bitcoin enthusiast to panic too. Here is the link to the news https://www.ccn.com/cryptocurrency-market-falls-25-billion-overnight-as-bitcoin-drops-6-factors-and-trends/.
288  Economy / Speculation / Re: The coin that will not die. on: June 12, 2018, 01:09:50 AM
Think about it, $7500 after everything that has been thrown at this market? LOL, the manipulators have only proven how strong Bitcoin is. Saddle up, 25k BTC and overall market cap 1 Trillion coming this year.

Even Bitcoin is now reaching below $6,000 today still i'm very optimistic that it will bounce back to reach the $20,000 mark for this year because for many years Bitcoin already encountered many obstacles just to bring it down but they are all failed that instead Bitcoin reach the ATH of $19,800 by last year. Therefore i believed Bitcoin will be forever and will not die.

290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Perfect Time to Buy! on: June 10, 2018, 02:04:39 PM
With all the good news coming out in favor of bitcoin like Expedia accepting bitcoin etc it's time to buy with the price going down. You will not be so lucky next week. I strongly believe it's going to reach $700 by end of next week!

How i wish that i was on this year when the price is just $700 because if that happen i will buy Bitcoin as much as i could even do a little bias by now because we knew already that how Bitcoin become successful of today in which many people become rich by now but still its perfect time to buy this current market performance in which Bitcoin is in dip again so better to buy the dip now as who knows that after several years from now the predicted price of $20,000 to $50,000 will come true.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: June 10, 2018, 11:26:23 AM
Well obviously no one knows... or very few people know (I still think that there are a couple original bitcoiners on this forum who are 99% sure that they know who Satoshi is).

Whats your favourite theory?

Mine is that it was John Nash   Roll Eyes

Please provide some proof for your theories. Would love to look into them!

I think this guy is not real or not exist at all because his identity and where about is still uncertain that even the Japanese did not see this guy so i believed that this is just a name in order to create a history of Bitcoin in which the real creator of Bitcoin and the block chain will not be known by everyone. If Bill Gates and Warren Buffett are known billionaires by everyone in this world then there is no reason that security is the reason on why this Satoshi guy is not revealing himself.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Leaving Your Job is The Worst Idea on: June 10, 2018, 06:32:01 AM
I ever heard that people choose to quit their job for doing some crypto job. Whether it is trading, mining, or bounty. But I think that's the worst idea. Maybe they think that kind job like that can earn many profit but they doesn't looking at the risk and keep do it. Look at the market, they stay red and it will hard to get profit from investing or trading. GPU price is more expensive as well as a lot of capital to be spent when starting mining. Also Bounty Hunter has bad condition right now with too many SCAM ICO which caused some of them just wasted their time and doesn't earn anything.

How they can earn money for daily need if only depends on the crypto?

Very true, its a big mistake to leave the job over crypto currency investments specially if they are not yet earning enough to support their family needs. Maybe except if their job is not stable and the wages are below minimum suggested salary then it OK to quit then but if they have stable job in which the salary is above minimum then better not to quit it and just consider Crypto investments as another source of income until they can build their own business  that enough to quit their existing job. Business and crypto investments are perfect combination towards success.
293  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Big Banks are so Nervous About Bitcoin ? Why ? on: June 10, 2018, 01:07:37 AM
this happens because bitcoin uses blockchain technology, which is able to overcome the main problems of customers ie financial or nonfinancial transactions. so the bank is afraid of losing customers and fear if the customer will withdraw the money then switch to bitcoin for investment.

I think not anymore except banks of those few countries that declared Bitcoin investments is illegal. Central Banks in these countries like USA, Japan, France and Germany including my country are supporting Bitcoin existence in which we could use their cash out facilities anytime and anywhere. Also, we could see the increasing numbers of Bitcoin ATM around the globe which are own by the banks. With these progress i could say not all banks are afraid of Bitcoin but only to those countries that ban Bitcoin currency.
294  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN price in December 2018? on: June 09, 2018, 02:03:22 PM
According to some bitcoin analyst bitcoin will break all previous record in December 2018!

"BITCOIN WILL APPROACH THE $15,000 MARK BY DECEMBER 2018"
LINK : http://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-price-prediction-expect-price-to-double-by-the-end-of-2018/

What you guys predict for December 2018 related to bitcoin price??

Last year was $19,800 so i guess your prediction will not break last year ATH because you said only $15,000 but this value is better than nothing because to at least to hit the $10,000 mark again is already a great achievement in which it will make most of Bitcoin enthusiast more happy.
295  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Not Declaring Bitcoin Income on: June 09, 2018, 12:06:27 PM
Here in my country which is now an upcoming tiger economy (though we are still classified as a third-world country), we are free to participate in Bitcoin both buying and selling as the government is treating Bitcoin just like any other foreiign money.

However, I am sure that only a very, very small fraction of us are declaring our Bitcoin income. It seems to me that the government is not that interested to get strict with individuals as long as they can tax the Bitcoin exchange provider for the service rendered.

I am then wondering the situation with other countries. Can your government really be able to track if you never declared gains made from Bitcoin transactions?

In my own understanding about taxation thru local exchanges in which it will always depend on how much Bitcoin you will going to convert to fiat therefore no need for income declaration because once you convert a certain amount of Bitcoin to fiat then the Bitcoin tax was already included together with the service charge which is the same regulation policy with other countries including ours.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you know its time to sell your altcoins? on: June 09, 2018, 05:37:09 AM
the "formula" that i usually use is mostly looking for at least 20-30% profit whenever i invest in an altcoin. but that is not set in stone and it changes quite a bit.
for coins that are hot and are getting pumped pretty hard, i aim for a higher percentage and for those that are not so hot and have little potential of pump i aim much lower. it is of course depending on the market and the situation too. sometimes coins can get pumped real hard but other times they may have harder time even having a small rise.

Agree, it is true that its tough of when to sell our Altcoins in a right time moment because of prices is fluctuating that even you set a price limit still it is mostly difficult to hit. For me it will be time the to sell my Altcoins if i really need money for spending in which i will sell the most highest earning but if i don't need money i will hold it as long as it was always healthy in the market.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is hodling alts dangerous? on: June 09, 2018, 03:35:35 AM
Last year alts rise a lot. I dont know the average percentage. But when I check coins in the market at year 2013 lots of them dead now (too low ranks). probably new tech coins won them (like peercoin, namecoin, ixcoin etc)

Also we are following new ICO s and most of us expecting too much gain from new coins which are not at the market. If our ICO expectations will happen, when they added to market, current market coins will go down. kind of paradox  Huh

This is case to case basis as you can see the word Altcoin did not represent only 1 coin but it has hundreds of them therefore it is unfair to say Altcoins is dangerous investment. Their are lot of Altcoins that belong to top ranked because their products are feasible in the market so if you choose the Altcoins that belong to the crap then of course your investment will be in difficult situation so choose your Altcoins carefully to avoid losing your investments.
298  Economy / Economics / Re: So many cryptocurrencies ! on: June 09, 2018, 02:01:09 AM
There are 1624 currently active cryptocurrencies and more than 100 cryptocurrencies exchanges working right now in 2018.
With so many cryptocurrencies in the market Without regulations I feel there should be some body to legalize only a few , since its not like the more the merrier!
It just increases risks of any Fraud.
Small companies often are at a risk of shutting down with so tough competition.
The reason why the percentage of market Bitcoins dominates isn't exactly because they got less investors now , it's just because with so many currencies around the globe it's getting saturated and distributed .
Only some of them would be successful like 10-20 but with this tough competition it's risking people's investments and both these small small exchanges.
I strongly believe that a regulatory body should tackle this and then make a decision.
I think is negative in it's own way.
Share your opinions below , do you think it's positive ?

Yes, ICO regulation is much needed which should start on the country on where the ICO was build and originated. Like in USA in which KYC is very strict and also in CHINA then in Japan. That is why we can see very few ICO were created on these countries because of strict regulation was applied that if this will also be consider in other countries who support Crypto investments then for sure ICO will be control specially the scams.
299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has now gone 173 days without a new high. on: June 08, 2018, 11:47:34 AM
"Bitcoin has now gone 173 days without a new high.  Longest streak ever was 1,176 days (from Dec 2013 to Feb 2017)." So I came across this fact on twitter, and checked obviously (always DYOR haha) so what do guys think this says about BTCs current position, or what it does for the much anticipated bull run. We know that Mt. Gox "helped" make that previous streak a reality, and current conditions are not even similar, there is much more awareness and players. But do you think the the overhype that took it to 20k and its followed drop for the past 6 moths (which caused major disillusions) , will make it more difficult for BTC to reach new highs?

At least Bitcoin price is healthy at $7,000. As i remembered last year we are waiting for a very long time for the Bitcoin price to reach the $5,000 value so if we compare the performance of today from last year then still this price is still considerable and stable. Its just happen that the price of Bitcoin is high as $19,800 last year that most of us are really eager to hit that mark again but better we should use to this current price while we are waiting for future progress of the Bitcoin value.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and altcoin: Who will take control of the market? on: June 08, 2018, 09:28:52 AM
In times of volatility and uncertainty, investors tend to favor one particular crypto that has high liquidity and is stable. At the current time, Bitcoin price trend still dominates the market trend.

However, Bitcoin leading position seems to be doubtable as Altcoins have recorded a stronger rise recently and the market is less affected by Bitcoin. Instead of following the general price trend of bitcoin, many cryptocurrencies also start to follow their own “trajectory”.

This week, the altcoin works much better than both Bitcoin and Ethereum. The added value of the ERC20 tokens and the increasing demand for small cryptocurrencies of investors in the global market has proved that Crypto investors are more confident in betting their money on this market.

Saxo Investment Bank from Danish, with its aim to focus on online trading and investment, has announced in a recent report that the capital inflows from organizations to the Crypto market will lead to a rise in prices for most of these currencies.

I'm sorry to disagree but How can you say that the crypto market is less affected by Bitcoin that in fact and i have observed many times that if Bitcoin start to crash the Altcoins will follow and when the Bitcoin start to rise again then the altcoins too which mean that every movement of Bitcoin it will always create a domino epic to most of the Altcoins. Market performance will always depend on Bitcoin that even do how many altcoins you will keep but in the end it will be traded to Bitcoin to earn more fiat.
