OP I don't blame you. I didn't come to this forum to earn money, I just ended up in a campaign after posting here for quite a while. But people DO come here just for these campaigns and end up writing a bunch of bullshit. And accounts get sold to these idiots, which encourages farming, and the farmers don't make constructive posts...so it's a huge shitfuck all around.
Can confirm that; most of the people I've tagged for posting useless garbage have stopped posting entirely once they were out of the signature campaign. It isn't all bad (with the activeness of the forum and the bitcoin eco-system and what not), but the negatives do outweigh the positives in these cases, at least for me. |

I am surprised that you are just now noticing this. When you access your PMs, SMF will need to query all of your messages, and the server can get bogged down when you have a lot of PMs.
theymos has said that he is willing to prune your messages for you and provide you with a file containing all your (pruned) messages that is compatible with most email software (but that he will only do this once per user).
I am not sure if this will be resolved with the new forum.
You can somewhat resolve the issue by having PM notifications be sent to you via email, just be sure that you don't take any action on any PM you look at via email because it will be much more difficult to check for imposters and to parse what was quoted and what was said by the sender.
