281  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: From today; 28.02.2024 - How low do you think the coming BTC dip will be..?? on: March 03, 2024, 03:00:10 PM
I'm actually worried about what would happen with the altcoin market after everything because you know the cycle is usually like this

BTC -> ETH -> ALTS -> NFTS -> RED MARKET

This is just what I have observed and I think we are back to the cycle and I can't wait what is in store for everyone here.
Altcoins rallied a lot recent days and the capital flow above is true. I think if Bitcoin continues sideway, altcoins will continue their rallies when investors will move their capital from Bitcoin as its boring sideway, to altcoins.

However it will be very last green days for altcoins before we will witness a massive correction in cryptocurrency market, starts with Bitcoin, Ethereum and blood will be everywhere. Corrections will be very bad for people who gamble with leverages get liquidations but for the whole market, corrections are necessary to continue the bull market.
282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 03, 2024, 01:49:52 PM
When Thomas Tuchel took over as coach of Munich in the previous season, Munich's performances were erratic. We all thought then that Tuchel needed some time to adapt to the players in the new team. But Tuchel failed this season too. If Dortmund had won their last match last season, Munich would not have been crowned champions. Leverkusen has been performing well this season, so there is no chance of Munich winning the title with such erratic performance.
Their situation last season is much better than this season and they fluctuated at the first position and second position. They did not have big difference with Dortmund last season and it is very big difference than this season.

In this season, they don't have chance to come too closely to Leverkusen and they are witnessing the gap becomes bigger and bigger when the league is counting down to a final day. Leverkusen in this season is like you said, they are performing far better than Dortmund last season. Their stability actually gives Bayern Munich a kind of fear that they will not be given too many dropped points from Leverkusen and the Bundesliga title is nearly on hands of Leverkusen. They are counting down week by week to have it.
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 03, 2024, 02:33:28 AM
I don't mind if this match liverpool was struiggling to get points but i think this will be different in the upcoming game. Didn't you aware how nottingham forest was always creating the wall? The low block team is the most difficult team to be beaten caused by they were playing passively without even caring what result they will get.
This serious defensive strategy can cause difficulty for many clubs, not only Liverpool. Good signals from this match are Liverpool created many good opportunities and it shown their attacking system works well.

There are bad signals that Liverpool players did not shot well enough and in this match, Darwin Nunez rescued them in very last seconds but in future, they must avoid such situation. If this continues, Liverpool will lose points in future because they will not always get a late winning goal.

A draw will affect their competitiveness against Manchester City and Arsenal a lot and they must avoid losing points to weak teams.
284  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto's networth ever being rated? on: March 03, 2024, 02:24:30 AM
Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney).

When Satoshi announced the first release of the software, I grabbed it right away. I think I was the first person besides Satoshi to run bitcoin. I mined block 70-something, and I was the recipient of the first bitcoin transaction, when Satoshi sent ten coins to me as a test. I carried on an email conversation with Satoshi over the next few days, mostly me reporting bugs and him fixing them.
Satoshi Nakamoto is not only early Bitcoin miner, Hal Finney is one of them.

Jameson Lopp wrote that Hal Finney was not Satoshi Nakamoto with some of his analyses to prove it.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 02, 2024, 03:12:05 AM
AS Monaco FC 0 - 0 Paris Saint-Germain FC

This was a complicated game for PSG because of their next game in the European Champions League, I thought the PSG coach was going to rotate players, but from what I saw, most of the main players were playing and still weren't able to score against Monaco. which is a team that doesn't have a very strong defense, in the last game PSG played against a top opponent and also failed to score many goals, at most they only scored 1 goal and also tied the game, so PSG has 2 draws consecutive and knowing that this is the last season with mbappe, I think the coach should start thinking that he needs to make the other strikers score goals, they were hired to score goals and they are not doing so. about Monaco, congratulations, they left that game without defeat and with that they are in third position which allows them to go to the European champions league next season
PSG have good advantage for their first match in round of 16 and I guess because of this advantage, they decided to use their main players for a match with Monaco. However their main star players did not show best and they could not beat Monaco but it is not nightmare for PSG. They already created good differences against other clubs in Ligue 1 but this draw is like a double edge for them.

I still believe it will be better if PSG let their main star players rest in this match to be fully ready for a round of 16 second leg match. If PSG have problems in that match, we will return to their decision today for more discussion.

PSG performed much better despite the defensive mechanism employed by Monaco, I'm sure Monaco will at this point be proud that they were able to contend such a big team and we're able to not concede a goal or suffer a defeat in this game Monaco didn't have the kind of performance that would have been a barrier to win especially with a full squad .
Perform better but could not win and get three points, it is a failure for PSG especially when they used some main star players for the match. It might not affect their chance in Champions League in round of 16 but they lose 2 points that can help them to finalize Ligue 1 sooner a little bit in future.

287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC profit taking strategies? on: March 01, 2024, 04:03:33 AM
Technically we also have to look at how the weekly candle closes, whether the candle is bearish or bullish. I think it's true because there is a desired target, meaning you range and consolidate before the market decides to re-enter the market. When we see bitcoin going up, selling pressure kicks in again and pushes the price of bitcoin down. in this sideways condition, we can make a short trade to take daily volatility to make a profit. In the long term, we have to be patient and wait at least until the end of this year to get even better profits.
Weekly candles are better than daily candles but sometimes we need to zoom out more, with monthly candles to see a bigger trend.

With latest bullish movements of Bitcoin and lasts for about six months, people are thinking of corrections and I see two scenarios.

Bitcoin can continue to rise, make Short squeeze before it actually goes with a correction.
Bitcoin can have a correction, before climbing higher.

With not clear resistance above $64,000, Bitcoin potentially can easily break $69,000 that is 2021 all time high and when it breaks that range, moon we go until a Long squeeze happens.
288  Other / Meta / Re: Should Merit-Sources send merit based on their feelings or quality of the post? on: March 01, 2024, 03:07:26 AM
Each source of merit has gone through a selection and in my opinion they are qualified to consider a message good or bad, each one has their own way of “working” and distributing their merits.
They were assigned as a merit source, applied as a merit source but they are free to retire as a merit source.

Some merit sources were disqualified by theymos and theymos even rollbacked some wrong merit transactions.

A merit source after appointed does not mean it will take that role forever.

Quote
One truth is: the more you chase merits, the more the merits will escape you... let things happen, participate in the forum normally, always be here, the merits will come naturally.
Merit comes naturally to good posts. Not all your good posts will receive merit but if you consistently make good posts, you will receive merit.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether Confirms Extensive Collaboration With DOJ, FBI and Secret Service on: March 01, 2024, 03:03:09 AM
Correct, but Tether influences the Bitcoin price more than anything else, at least that has been the case so far, it remains to be seen to what extent Bitcoin ETFs will eventually outstrip it. But the fact is that Tether has played a decisive role in every Bitcoin bull run, so it doesn't matter what happens to Tether. A confiscation of Tether could trigger a tsunami in the cryptouniverse.
Because to lift Bitcoin price, new demand must exists, demand must be bigger than supply and to buy Bitcoin, people need stable coins and Tether is a biggest stable coin.

They have other options like cards, cash but stable coins are most favorite choices for Bitcoin investors. There are many stable coins but Tether is a biggest one and has a good ability to maintain its peg. At least USDT did not lose its peg in 2022 after Terra UST and FTX fiascos.

290  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Common misconceptions about cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) on: March 01, 2024, 02:58:56 AM
And rightly so, because Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency, the most appreciated and trusted; the one that is most widely adopted and accepted by individuals, businesses, institutions, and even countries; the one that is truly decentralized.
Bitcoin is unique and Bitcoin # Cryptocurrencies # Altcoins.

Quote
I guess some Bitcoin supporters started to dissociate Bitcoin from cryptocurrency during the time when the crypto market has grown big and wide and already includes all kinds of centralized shitcoins that are actually a disgrace to the technology.
Many developers created their altcoins and said their altcoins are Bitcoin killers but after one or some years, there "Bitcoin killers" cryptocurrencies are dead.

Cryptocurrencies Historical Snapshots with many top altcoins in the past now are dead.

Quote
But Bitcoin is the genuine and original crypto. The rest should be the ones to be called with a different name.
A warning that Bitcoin forks are not Bitcoin. They are altcoins but want to borrow Bitcoin as part of their names to attract investors.

How many Bitcoin forks are there?
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 29, 2024, 01:26:45 PM
Napoli played way better than I expected from them yesterday.  Grin  I still got what I wanted from that game after betting on both teams to score.

I must admit that a 6-1 win is really incredible for Napoli. Especially in a time period that they are having tough days. Osimhen (3 goals, 1 assist) and Kvaratskhelia (2 goals, 1 assist) had an amazing game at the same time. But even this huge win could be tricky about Napoli's possible recovery.
Napoli are back and not only from this winning but some previous matches. They are on fire and this big win is very good for them to prepare for a second leg tough match with Barcelona in Spain. They will have to get a draw there and pull the match to penalty shootouts or have to beat Barcelona at Nou Camp.

The excellent combination and performances of Osimhen and Kravatskhelia will help Napoli to boost their confidence before the match. Barcelona have problems with defense in this season and their defense system is no longer good like a past season. It will help Napoli to get opportunities at Nou Camp and look for a win there to join quarter finals.

Last season, Napoli stopped their adventure in Champions League after quarter finals and they will do best to join quarter final round again. Then aiming at semi final round that is what they failed to achieve last season.
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 29, 2024, 01:21:01 AM
Don't point blaming fingers to Xavi Hernandez, instead follow up the team's board and president that have failed the club, really one of the huge mistakes made by them. Barcelona have been suffering crucial challenges right from time. There's specially no other means of resolving their problems of hefty debts place on the burdens of the team. I'm quite aware of the financial crisis in the club and I must say, it's huge embarrassing to see an elite team like Barcelona not able to sign the prominent players on their Rader, rather they keep making forceful moves that sometime are spotted by FIFA and brings another punishment for them.
Three seasons ago, when Xavi came to Barcelona as their temporary solution, they did not expect him to help them winning La Liga but he did it with them last season. After success in past season, they expect to win Champions League this season and honestly it is not fair for Xavi.

Barcelona play worse than the last season and nearly fail against Real Madrid in La Liga this season but with many young players, many injuries, Xavi did not have best squad for Barcelona to perform best. In addition, young players need time to grow and to strengthen their mentality to deal with pressure. It is easy to sack Xavi but it will not guarantee that a new coach will help them to gain better success. We saw what happened with Barcelona after Enrique, they struggled some seasons before Xavi came and helped them to achieve La Liga title.
293  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in a crypto bubble? Is a possible correction coming soon? on: February 29, 2024, 01:10:20 AM
As we approach the end of February, BTC is reaching new all-time highs not witnessed since 2021.
It does not make a new all time high which is an important point.

When it breaks out from 2021 all time high, it will create massive FOMO.

Quote
However, the increasing trading volume and the influx of inexperienced investors driven by FOMO, leading to hasty buying decisions based on the expectation of reaching new price peaks
People are FOMO and if you are fearful of correction, take profit and exit the market.

In a bull run, there will be many correction like 15% or 20% but price will soar more after a correction. You must know that halving will happen in April and Bitcoin Spot ETFs will bring more capital into this market in coming months. They are only at beginning of loading bitcoins for their Spot ETFs.
294  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitForex halts withdrawals, stops responding to users after $56.M was moved on: February 28, 2024, 01:14:07 PM
Centralized exchanges, online platforms are not your friends and not trusted custodians for your bitcoin. If you have bitcoin, store it in your non custodial wallet, be your own custodian, be your own bank.

People learned hard lessons in 2022 with Terra, Celsius, Voyager, Three Arrows Capital, BlockFi, FTX and paid expensive costs.

This accident is another warning that "Don't repeat their mistakes in future. "

Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts.
295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of Bitcoin hit a new all-time high? on: February 28, 2024, 09:57:14 AM
In Bitcoin history, it always makes a new all time high with a halving.

You can count that so far there are three halvings in 2012, 2016, 2020 [1] and Bitcoin makes its new all time highs months after these halvings. If you believe in history, you will believe Bitcoin will make a new all time high with halving in April 2024.

The more interesting thing is will Bitcoin make its first new all time high before a halving. It has never happened with past three halvings.

296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 28, 2024, 09:48:24 AM
Last season which also happened to be Erling Haaland's first season as a Manchester City player, he had a very great performance and scored a lot of goals that saw him break so many goalscoring records in England and Europe but despite scoring 17 English Premier League goals in 21 games, the Norwegian hasn't been as prolific as he was last season in the English Premier League.
He is a beast goal scorer and in his first season for Manchester City in Premier League, he created big surprises for many coaches and players. In the last season, we saw his scoring rate began to slower in second half of season and this season is a little bit worse. I believe coaches and defensive players in Premier League did more forensic analysis through videos of Haaland matches so they have been able to control him better.

Quote
Since he returned back from injury, he's struggled to make impacts during Manchester City games but that wasn't the case last night when Manchester City travelled to Luton for the English FA Cup game.
Injuries require players to be away a long time and they need time for recovery, get back to training and actual matches. It is normal if they, includes Haaland, can not get back to his best performances after an injury.

Quote
Erling Haaland was simply in his beast mode last night as he scored four goals in that game but that wasn't the only goodnews for Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola as his midfield maestro Kelvin De Bruyne was also on fire last night as he provided the assist for three of Manchester City goals.
If this performance marks a return of a beast, many teams in Premier League and Champions League will not like this fact. They will have to face with a stronger Manchester City with Haaland is on fire. More than that, the performances of Kevin De Bruyne is another dangerous attacking support for Manchester City. One of best attacking midfielders is back and provide more attacking power for them.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 28, 2024, 02:27:57 AM
Bayern Munich would be going home trophyless this season because they have failed to put in the energy for brilliant results, instead they keep settling for lesser results. Bayern Munich board are just confused in my eyes, the went ahead without hints. They teamup and appointed Thomas Tuchel because they thought he was better Julian Nagelsmann, unknown to them that Thomas Tuchel will become this very worst manager in the team. Thomas Tuchel have express his motives and have also apologized to the fans regarding the poor stats circulating the team.
Thomas Tuchel has more experience than Nagelsman and he is older than Nagelsman too. It is reason Bayern Munich decided to sack Nagelsman and signed with Tuchel but so far, a second half of  last season and this season, Tuchel failed to work with his players and in Bayern Munich, internal conflict still exists that is barrier for them to show their best strength.

A team only can perform its maximum power if a coach and players can be united and work for a same target. It does not exist in Bayern Munich in this season and rumor is their star players want to kick Tuchel out of his coach position. I don't believe in rumor but on field, there are some signals that their star players did not follow Tuchel's requests.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 28, 2024, 02:23:58 AM
The development of his quality continues to show improvement and his hat trick in that match made his name discussed again. Paulo Dybala does have good instincts for scoring goals and I agree that if in the past or now Jose Mourinho and De Rossi wanted to pair Paulo Dybala with Lukaku, maybe now they could reach the top four in the standings. But each coach has a different view and maybe they have a view that is relevant enough to not give them the opportunity to play together in a full match.
Dybala has sensitive body and in the last season, he got many injuries and it's part of reasons Juventus did not sign a new contract with him and let him go as a free player. Roma with Jose Mourinho convinced Dybala to join their project but he unluckily failed to have good fitness in last season. In many situations, he easily got injuries by not too serious tackles from opponent defenders. It is different in this season, as he got less injuries and needed less time for recovery.

With Dybala and Lukaku, surely any coach will try to combine them as they have skills to support each other and cover each other weakness.

Quote
The public initially doubted De Rossi because he did not have a record as a successful coach and slowly he began to prove it, although so far he has not been optimal. De Rossi's task is not too difficult because it is a temporary priority until the end of the season so that the burden on him is not too big and he can improve his abilities to become one of the best coaches in the future.
With De Rossi, Roma tends to play more attacking and this tactical change is reflected in total goals they scored so far under De Rossi era. However their weakness in defensive line is still there and it needs to be fixed. Roma will need a stronger defense to win Europa League and to win as many matches as possible in Serie A to join top four or more specifically to get the fourth position.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing on: February 27, 2024, 10:57:51 AM
I can understand the skepticsm and I reckon it is correct for the community that we should be skeptical. However, what do you speculate on what might happen after if Trump is elected president? Will he become traitor and join the grandma Elizabeth Warren on her anticrypto campaign or will he do what he has said and he will live with it one way or another?
Politicians are liars and they almost don't keep their promise after they were elected.

Notice that if Donald Trump will be elected as a next President, this will be his last four years as the USA. President. What he is saying can be his words to attract US. citizens and gain support for the next election. He is smart to know that cryptocurrency market is growing and the US. citizens love it so if he shows his stance to against this market, this industry, he will lose a lot of vote.

Elizabeth Warren shown her fear that her position is challenging by John Deaton who is the lawyer helped Ripple won the lawsuit against SEC.
300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Arbitrage Trading (Market Inefficiencies) on: February 27, 2024, 10:50:35 AM
Is there like a free scanner/tool to find such opportunities?
No free lunch and if there is a free tool for it, it does not work effectively for your arbitrage trading. Many other traders will have same interest like you, use that tool like you, the market is limited, chance will not be only for you.

Many people join the free lunch hence no free lunch at all.

Arbitrage trading is for people who can code and have their own trading bots too.

Quote
Also does living in a different time zone affect you spotting or being notified of these opportunities?
It does because each cryptocurrency will have different user base and different market makers.

Rather than looking for chance with arbitrage trading, you can wait calmly and patiently for chances to trade in Spot market.
