281  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rand Paul: We Must Demilitarize the Police on: August 16, 2014, 04:59:05 AM
Demilitarize? Good luck with that.

Look at all the notable riots. People are opportunistic and there's no better environment to loot and steal than during chaos.

When the benefits stop the leechers will attempt to take as much as they can by force.

The ultimate hedge against SHTF is not gold, silver or bitcoin but weapons, ammo, food and shelter.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: August 15, 2014, 07:57:52 PM
Core, blockchain.info, mycelium

These work well for me.

Can't believe accounts are actually bought and sold here...

I cannot believe that mods allow this to happen. This is one of the reasons bitcointalk sucks.

Why would anyone want to buy a forum account other than using it to scam newbies?

Wow, impressive that you got your starting bid! This is pretty cool though :-)

Not that impressive considering the rarity.

don`t understand what does this paper have to do with bitcoin...some article? can`t see it..

Satoshi referenced this issue and the main headline article in the genesis block.

288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Govs are secertly at war with crypto? on: August 15, 2014, 08:14:13 AM
Theory:  Govs do not want to lose their unjustified insane power.  The bought up crypto 2012/2013, hyped it in late 2013, no are pumping out FUD like Fiat money and are starting to dump coins in hopes to kill crypto.

Sounds a bit like a conspiracy theory if you ask me. It's only one of the ways they could destroy or harm Bitcoin. They could also just render the network useless by unleashing >75% hash rate that totally ignores all rules.

Sounds like a conspiracy?

The US government killed leaders of other countries for trying to bypass the $ for selling their resources.

They secretly funded terrorist groups for trying to destabilize other countries.

They created the NSA and other government agencies which bypass democratic ways and spy on basically everyone on the planet.

I'm not sure what would be needed for the slaves to wake up...sorry, I do actually know...as soon as the frontend for TPTB goes bankrupt the benefits will stop and all the plebs will riot on the streets wanting "change".

289  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I can not decide to start or not on: August 14, 2014, 01:13:27 PM
Buy btc instead.

I've been mining since 2011 (out of passion), but it always made more sense to buy bitcoin and hodl.

Less risk, less hassle.
290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone is panic selling their BTC on: August 14, 2014, 08:18:44 AM
And nobody sells on this forum??? Angry

I'm happy to take the "fallin' knife" at bitstamp rate.

PM for enquiries.

291  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying BTC - UK bank transfer on: August 14, 2014, 07:48:41 AM
At what rate and how much do you want to buy?

I'm ok with bitstamp rate (eg. last price).

How many have you got for sale?
292  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying BTC - UK bank transfer on: August 14, 2014, 07:39:09 AM
Bump - Nobody wants to sell? What if the correction won't stop at 528?
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Govs are secertly at war with crypto? on: August 13, 2014, 08:16:23 PM
I think no, they still think that crypto's threat is still very minimal and still under their control. Most of them didn't even know the concept of crypto.

You can be sure that they wouldn't have addressed it on all official levels if they thought it's not a serious threat.

Bitcoin really is freedom. The most evident example is the rise of darknetmarkets, and bypassing banking blockades (wikileaks).

I would also bet that the proposed regulations are intentionally strict (basically they make no sense) just to gauge what reaction would it cause.

the ongoing scaremongering and propaganda is just the beginning. Wink
294  Other / Off-topic / Re: What current BTCT user(s) is Satoshi currently using? (if at all?) on: August 13, 2014, 06:21:58 PM
he only knew about the accusation against dorian by watching TV,

I think that nobody who has access to the internet watches TV especially news...
295  Economy / Currency exchange / Buying BTC - UK bank transfer or EUR SEPA on: August 13, 2014, 12:57:04 PM

296  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 17000 sign up to lawsuit against Facebook for supporting NSA spying on: August 13, 2014, 08:07:46 AM
Fundamental problem is the crook we elected in place.

Solution would be vote out every politician that support NSA, CIA and FBI.

All the politicians are crooks and serve the same circles. Elections are only an illusion of choice for keeping the dumb slaves in their place.

297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin BULL/Rally Forming? on: August 12, 2014, 07:45:31 PM
There's a speculation subforum...

298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Grow BTC Without take a BIG RISK ? on: August 12, 2014, 07:00:21 PM
when you dont like risk, you should not be here  Cheesy

It's not about liking risk or not. Bitcoin is risky in itself.

Altcoins and crypto stocks currently function only to rip off newbies or naive people.

Hopefully there will be legitimate ways to crowdfund / invest bitcoins in the future.

299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Grow BTC Without take a BIG RISK ? on: August 12, 2014, 06:46:10 PM
Avoid crypto stocks and altcoins. People tend to lose money on these schemes.

These are like penny stocks or often even worse.
300  Economy / Auctions / Re: The Times - 03/01/2009 on: August 12, 2014, 04:00:08 PM
At the risk of being "one of those guys", I'm gonna get things started with a lowball.

BTC0.075

Do you mean 0.325? (starting bid is 0.25) Wink
