A bootstrap is a concatenate version of the blockchain. Once placed in your %APPDATA%/NavCoin2
It will read blocks from the disk and syncing should be pretty fast and minimal use of bandwidth.
So if I try a full sync again, I can use the bootstrap instead of the downloaded blockchain? Start with an empty navcoin2 folder on appdata having only bootstrap, wallet.dat and navcoin.conf? Would you be so kind as to take note of how long it takes to complete the bootstrap? It does not need a precise measure up to the second, even a crude measure would be helpful. The time can also vary according to the hardware in use, so it would be useful to have data from different users to aggregate. After 40 minutes right now I'm at block 45270. It's sure taking its time. Downloading the blockchain and syncing the old way took less time. Looks like I'll have to leave it unattended before it finishes because it will take another 2 hours if it goes like this. I hope it doesn't make a mess again with fake stakes With the bootstrap file? Hm it is the complete blockchain in it. I don't understand why it needs to download. When you look into Appdata. Is the bootstrap extracted? Remy? Soopy?  |

I did a full sync on the latest wallet, with the downloaded blockchain
It synced but still kept crashing after 15-20 mins and did not seem to be getting new blocks.
At some point it started staking like mad again so I shut it down.
All this time I am full of connections whereas the previous days (without problems) I had 3-4 at most.

NAV mobile wallet is now live!
Dear NAV Community
We have created a mobile wallet for Nav Coin which uses our own custom version of electrum. This wallet is now live and ready for you to put some NAV in your back pocket and take a stroll down the waterfront, all without draining your battery.
Our NAV mobile wallet can hold Bitcoin, Litecoin and Nav Coin.
We chose the electrum server because it doesn’t download the entire block chain on your phone just the header (light block chain). This lightweight solution is what we are all about.
Also looks like we are world first again. In launching this project we have created the world’s first mobile wallet for an X13 coin.
We’re super proud of our purple and blue currency!
Here’s some other cool info about our new mobile wallet:
It has improved battery and data usage because of its light chain (the data use is near zero.)
It is always on and ready to use, as there’s no need for the block chain to catch up.
The entire wallet takes up 6MB of space, which is 1% of what other wallets use.
It is ridiculously secure; all the keys are stored on and never leave your device and your wallet can be encrypted with a password to prevent malware and thieves stealing our coins.
You also won’t need to stress if you lose your device as the wallet also has an easy back up, and you can retrieve your coins with a simple twelve-word mnemonic.
The other thing we really like about our new mobile wallet is it’s capacity for growth. Our open source code for the Android Wallet and the X13 Electrum Server will be available on github for anyone to fork or extend.

i have some problem, items in settings menu do not working. wallet crashed after i click on "show recovery phrase" or "transactions fees" or "exchange rates".
We have added these errors and will fix in next release with updated graphics and so on.. |

Is exchange on mobile wallet supposed to work? All I get is
Exchange Error
no supported accounts found.
Do I need to add a 2nd coin first?
Exchange is only working for bitcoin at the moment, since this is a coinomi fork for X13 navcoin,we kept this option inside the app. We did send shapeshift.io a mail to add navcoin. They said the support tean is taking a look at it, but.many coins are incoming with the request to get added daily... Don't know if it fasten up when they get more requests... |

ok with bootstrap It's very fast & even instant Thanks for reply and helping me to stop to pull my hair .. Cheers.. Have a look at the name. The download for nav1 is name Navajo-... Since we have a name change, the new file is named nav-blockchain.zip. But watch out! The downloads section only shows nav 1 blockchain. I have just uploaded as I saw your post above. I am sorry for the problems you had. We are taking a look at that. |

Not trying to spread FUD, in fact I am hurting my own investment. But I am fed up with things not working right. I found a way to fix the wallet, but it is not right that the users have to spend their time fixing software that should be working correctly out of the box. Not to worry, have nothing more to say.
