They stated 50 max order on their site . . but for orders larger than that to contact them so who knows what happens / limit / possible discount at that quantity O_O

Interesting. I was able to do 100 from the first offering without any limits. They are definitely not offering any discounts - even for purchases of 100 units right now. The demand is simply too high. Also, I suspect that this batch was simply the leftovers from batch1 that didn't pay. This happens all the time - people add to cart and checkout, but fail to pay and then Bitmain offers them up again on the market. I'm guessing they had 1000-2000 units and a few hundred fell through, hence the same shipping date and price.

I just started a comparison between mining litecoin directly using litecoinpool.org with 1 L3+ and mining other altcoins using prohashing.com with another L3+. I REALLY want to like ProHashing since it's so much more profitable so I'm hoping I have a better experience than you guys did. I've had each miner running for 19 hours 20 minutes and thus far I've earned 1.06ltc on ProHashing.com (auto-exchanging alt-coins for litecoin) and 0.545ltc on Litecoinpool.org.

It's currently in-stock at the same price as batch 1 ($2699) with shipping date stated as Sept 18-25). This is basically an extension of batch 1. Get 'em while they last! They're basically destroying the competition with these puppies!

Looks like Bitmain is getting ready for batch 2 real soon:

Current generation ASIC mining chips are made on the SAME foundry production lines as current Apple, Samsung, Nvidia and AMD (among others) GPU CPU and Smartphone chips - which is why the ASIC mining chip makers have to compete with foundry space vs the "big boys" - and those foundries have been widely reported to be running at full capacity on their 14/16nm node lines for as long as those lines have been running at all.

Interesting - I wonder if that's why Bitmain had a couple months earlier this year with nearly no products for sale (except PSUs).

Also, looks like Bitmain is getting ready for batch 2 real soon:

I'm curious whether Bitmain's 2nd batch will be larger than their 1st batch. Even if it is twice the size, I suspect it will sell out just as fast now that everyone's waiting for them.

Will this miner still be profitable if litecoin loses 40% of it's value because Bitcoin will have segwit too making litecoin just another altcoin again?

I've bought in with some groupbuy and now I'm worried. What will happen with other scrypt coins? Maybe they'll even go up because people switch over from litecoin to others, increasing the difficulty and price.

Which is a good scryptcoin to buy and mine?

Yes, in fact - it seems you can make way more by NOT mining litecoin. Check out hash-to-coins.com or multipool.us. They offer automatic profit switching scrypt-coin pools that currently earn way more than mining litecoin directly. It's A LOT more work since you have to manually trade the alt-coins for whichever currency you desire - but it's worth it.

others good multipool options are prohashing.com and nicehash.com

Thanks for the prohashing suggestion! I love that it auto-sells the altcoins and pays you in whatever coin you select (or USD directly through Coinbase).

He's just speculating, but I do believe they'll probably have an october or november batch by the end of august. Unless they wanna play the asshole game and centralize mining like they did with bitcoin again. God I hope they get more competition soon, or we're gonna end up centralizing mining all over again
It is likely that this model will be released at an accelerated pace to the L3+ as it is seemingly made from existing parts. Also, they are definitely trying to eat their competitions lunch and first and most to market will bleed the others out quickly. Gotta hand it to Bitmain. they have a very dominant position in the market and are full on the throttle.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when Bitmain has internal meetings to discuss release timing and pricing. I just want to know what factors they consider. Obviously they know what their production capacity for the D3 will be, so they probably have a better prediction about the future difficulty than any of us. If their motive was short-term profits, they would have priced batch 1 a lot higher, which leads me to believe they do care about their customers making enough profit to become repeat customers. I'm sure they're also trying to corner the market by releasing the best $/GH miner by a wide margin and subsequently deflate any launch-pad their competitors are attempting to build. It takes a lot of money for their competitors to get off the ground and Bitmain already has the capital and experience needed to scale a new ASIC to mass production. I suspect they will quickly announce a new batch of D3 with an even lower price - but with a delayed delivery. That way, they can suck the future profits from their competitors while appeasing us (the customer) with lower prices while also allowing the people who purchased batch 1 to mine profitably for a little longer. The down-side is that if they eliminate any strong competition, Bitmain will not be free to price the same way Innosilicon does.

Oh man, I just saw that Innosilicon's asking $10k for their upcoming X11 miner... with a minumum order quantity of 3 units  Shocked. This is for a miner that is coming out after the D3 and from a company that has a track record of not being able to deliver on promises - like when they sold the A4 Dominator and claimed it would hash at 800MH/s. By the time it finally shipped, it could barely reach 280MH/s. This market would benefit immensely if someone could compete toe-to-toe with Bitmain. Looks like Innosilicon isn't going to be that someone.

One D3 with 10,000,000 difficulty would make 1.6 DASH worth 222$us Smiley a month .
Given that the cost of electricity for most for that single machine is around 90$/month , the machine will make - soon lol.
But right now it does wonders Smiley)) Not in 2 months. It is more profitable to buy 10 DASH for 2000$us now, that try to mine 1.6 DASH a month and then 0 because of difficulty...

Ehhh, where are you getting 10m difficulty from? The current difficulty is ~400k. even if the difficulty spikes 10-fold BEFORE these come online (unlikely), you be making over $1k per month at current Dash prices. 100% ROI in 2.7 months seems like a really really good deal to me. I'm hoping it's even better than that.
10m difficulty is not only likely but, certain. It would be the equivalency of the BTC difficulty currently on a relative basis. There is no reason to think that anything less would occur. Water finds it's own level and people chase money. The Commercial grade ASIC's have already taken firm hold in SHA 265 and NONE of those protocols produce much more than $350.00 per unit, per month. That's precisely what's going to happen to the Altcoin space. Once these commercial grade miners have filled the mining farms the meat will quickly come off the bone. People seem to be forgetting that the lion's share of the ASIC's in Scrypt and x11 algo's have NOT hit the network yet. September and October will bring a Tsunami of these units to the network. 10M difficulty in DASH?? Yeah, I can't give you the exact date but I CAN promise you it's coming.

Perhaps we're not on the same page. I assumed you were talking about 10m difficulty within the next couple of months. I agree that 10m difficulty will be in the rear-view mirror by next year, but I think there's plenty of time to make a good return before that happens. In regards to btc devices only producing $350/month - it's been 4 years since ASICs started dominating SHA256. Every batch of AntMiners sold between 2013 and 2016 have had enough time to be profitable (in terms of bitcoin) before the difficulty made them too inefficient to run. I believe that will remain true for 2017 and beyond.

Maybe they will. But like 3 weeks ago , they contacted me on skype, and told me with joy that they have their new supermodel at 2000mhs.... at 7000$us..

Badly timed innovation uh Smiley

Baikal is still trying to offload the Giant A+ 2000mhs I got the email today only 7k USD one of their vendors has 198 in stock no sales.

I bet Baikal is sweating right now. I would be. I would guess we're going to see just how desperate they are for sales in the next few weeks when they're forced to lower the price. I would love to see more competition, but this is a tough market to crack.

Dears

this site is safe for purchasing it? Huh Huh Huh Huh
please reply your experience and guide if know safe site

http://bitcoin-miner-store.com

No experience with them, but I'm highly suspicious of using a third party unless it's through Amazon or someone else who can offer me legit consumer protection.

Bitmain just replaced the L3+ image with this for the D3:

" If it seems to good to be true, it is." Folks need to get their feet back on the ground. It's just not realistic to expect to be able to make $80,000.00 per year from these units. Not even 1/10th of that. If you receive these units after October, you will be facing 10 Million in difficulty. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but come on. Think about it. S-9's are netting around $300.00 per month per unit. This is what you can anticipate from these X11 miners. They are "commercial grade" rigs and their effect on the networks will be gargantuan. There will be a lucky few that will get them first but their dreams will be short lived. At least their machines will be paid for in short order.
That's why it's imperative for early adopters of the first batch to mine as soon as they get the miners. During the first few days profits will be very large but will decrease exponentially. Nobody expects to make enough for an early retirement from these but you will still be making good $$$. X11 is currently an arms race and these may possibly become outdated quick, although this may be untrue.

Ahhh, reminds me of the good ol' days when I got my first-batch KNCMiner Jupiter. I was mining 1.5btc/day, but the difficulty was jumping 20-40% every adjustment. It was stressful to watch, but I still tripled my investment before selling the device for a profit. Just like the L3+, the D3 will be a HOT commodity with those mining from the first few batches reaping most of the profits. Of course, anyone who looks at how many bitcoins each S9 batch has mined knows that even the batches that were released 6-months after launch have already earned more bitcoin than they originally costed. People were saying similar things back then about how the S9 would never be profitable past the first few batches.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New Baikal A2000 Giant+ on: July 20, 2017, 05:41:59 PM
It needs only 430 Watt on X11 algo and the hashrate value is 2050 Mh/s on X11. Really good values. Not power hungry like Antminers.  Smiley

I think you may want to check your math... 2GH/s @ 430 watts = 215 watts/GH. The AntMiner D3 isn't even claiming to be the most power efficient and is only using 80 watts/GH.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: July 20, 2017, 03:36:48 PM
I *may* have found an image for the D3. Notice the extended height similar to the L3+, but with 3 hashing boards instead of 4 and with 3 power connectors on each hashing board. It was being used as a thumbnail and I assumed it was just the L3+ image they had been using earlier, but I noticed that the ribbon cables looked different. Unfortunately, the "name" is out of focus and the image isn't very high quality.

Was the D3 available again for a little while today? I wonder if it will go to the Hashnest? Do you think them mining for us is a good option?

I monitor changes to Bitmain's website and see that they re-arranged some stuff, but I don't see any evidence that sales were re-opened today.

I'm really curious how much delay there will be between this first batch's shipping date and the next batch.
