Starting bid seems way to big. It should have been like .1 I expected a couple of posts like this but yeah, I do think that I can get a the very least 0.4BTC. It is coin 6 out of 10000 coins. I do think that's pretty cool, even if others don't. And it has a great grade for a brass. I have also sold multiple ungraded random number brass tenths for 0.35BTC. Heck, I'd pay 0.4 for it, I just didn't get a chance to see this in time. Well he didn't get any bids so in theory he would be willing to sell it to you for .4 BTC if you ask nicely ok. <nice voice>Hi, could I possibly buy it off you for 0.4 BTC?</nice voice>

That's actually the primary reason we're out of pocket on this project, because I'm saving my organs for a special occasion and I'd rather not mortgage them away for a stick miner.
Though tell you what, anyone wants to support the business in a more direct way, feel free to buy power supplies. I don't know what hardware is still shipping what folks need supplies for, but we have a few 750W and 2000W still around and another batch of 750W board parts inbound. I've been focusing on this miner a lot lately and haven't really tried to drum up any sales, but we really like sales since that sorta also pays the bills. And then there's the 12KW of hosting space we have open right now. That doesn't really pay the bills but it is self-sustaining.
looking for the pdf data sheet on the DPS-2000BB any one have it? 1 board = 50 12 pcie cables = 36 or 48 length matters 1 DPS-2000BB = 35 total price = 133 + shipping with long cables for a 2000 watt psu that will drive 3 s-5's this is a nice psu if you have 240 volt power. Will power 4 S-5's if you have proper cooling... these things are rock solid workhorses. I've had over 20 of them running for almost a year, first powering my S-3's, then the S-5's. Blew only 2 of them in that time span.

On the website I saw 1000 stated for the total mintage of pure silver coins, how is that distributed between the different designs?
I believe each design had a run of 1000 coins, with an additional 100 of the gold/silver made. Each run of 1000 had the first 100 of them serial numbered, and the last 900 were just regular rounds. Correct Much appreciated, 2100 total is accurate? As of today, yes. If any future designs come out, then obviously the number will increase.

But Eligius is still a PPLNS pool. PPLNS is bad for miners as it flushes their work every few hours.
Please educate yourself on how PPLNS works, before you spew out incorrect information such as this. It's bad enough that people still mine at Ghash, and you're not helping any of them by attempting to steer them away from better alternatives. PPLNS is the miners' best friend for combating variance, as your shares count for extended periods, most up to several days, not hours.

Ok everyone, sorry for the delay but I have issued this week's credits.
This week we had 9 incorrect predictions which qualified for the credit. I have updated the OP with the info.
I will indeed be running another promo, which I will announce at some point tomorrow. Very similar rules, but with a lessening amount of credits.
Below is a list of the TX id's of the credits. Please let me know if I've made any mistakes.

Is this promotion now over or is there one more round? btw still didnt get a bonus refund from past round.
cheers
The original promotion has ended, yes. I do still need to process the credits for the last round, I've had a busy weekend and haven't gotten to it yet, so I apologize for the delay. I should be able to get to it tonight, after Mother's Day festivities are over. I am considering running another promo, with different rules, and will post here and update my OP if/when I have details.

i wanted to know how insignificant i am @ 1.8th Doesn't matter, someone hit a block with 2TH/s recently. We've been renting 100TH/s for a few days, nothing. It's all about the luck.

is this similar to luckybit just curious...?
I've never played lucky bit, and unfortunately the site doesn't load for me at the moment so I can't find out the idea behind that game to compare them. Similar in what way? In reality, this is a simple guessing game. You pick a letter or number, and if that's the one at the end of the block hash, you win.

maybe we kick in 1 coin each and run 4 btc at nice+ west hash
2 btc minus the pool fee at 50 th west hash 2 btc minus the pool fee at 50 th nice hash
aurel57 + ezeminer + jonnybravo0311 send me pm's let me know
Actually, looking at the amount of hash you guys are talking about, I have roughly 50TH available. I could either toss that in to make it a total of 150TH for the group, or I could rent them out for a cheaper fixed rate for this purpose to replace one of the west/nicehash ones. Only catch is I would need about a day to let the current rentals expire and lock them off from future ones so I could dedicate them to this.

|
|
So aurel57 ezeminer and philipma1957 ⅓ each?
Count me in... just provide me with an address to send the coins. If you want to round it to a 5th person, I'd be willing to gamble once or twice. If not, no worries.

And how does the giveaway work? I send coins, make a guess and if I lose I get some amount back?
Correct. The amount for any prediction is minimum 0.01 BTC, maximum 0.02 BTC. Once you make a prediction (or all of them if you decide to make multiples), please post the information into the thread (you can see examples of how folks have been doing it) about the prediction and the TX id. Once the winning block info has been posted, you will receive 0.01 BTC credit back to your payment address for one of your predictions. So, for example, if I were playing: I want to make 2 predictions - letters A - C and numbers 1 - 3, in the amount of 0.01 BTC each. - I would send 0.01 BTC to 1KenoACbgmFFSTz6Z29vsLo2qiJr5RNv8o - I would send 0.01 BTC to 1Keno13h2QAuh3jAsT4zHp8FxwxBjqnT9q - I would then post into the thread the information about both those predictions and the TX id of each Then, say the letter "B" was the winning character. - I would receive 0.04 BTC as the winning number - I would receive 0.01 BTC as a credit for the incorrect prediction of numbers 1 - 3 However, if say the number "9" was the winning character: - I would receive only 0.01 BTC as a credit for an incorrect prediction, I would not receive anything beyond that Make sense?

Watching also with 0.92 BTC bid.

Is the giveaway still on?
Yes, this week is the last of the current credit promo for incorrect predictions. I am considering possibly doing a new, different promotion in the weeks ahead, but that's as of yet undecided. And can someone help me understand how the game is played? I read the OP but I am a bit confused. Can someone explain it to me? Thanks Sure... First read this post (#49 in the thread, probably middle of page 3 if you use standard view settings) - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1020151.msg11188194#msg11188194 - as I did a little bit of explanation there which may also help. Once a week there is a block that comes out usually early Friday afternoons EST, which carries the transactions for NastyFans distributions. This block is the one we use for the contest, and the links to the block are posted in the thread as confirmation as well. What we are doing with this is a simple guessing game - you make a prediction on that last character in the block hash (post #2 at the beginning of this thread has some details on how to look it up, etc). That last character can be any letter from A - F, or any number from 0 - 9. There are two ways to make your prediction: 1) In the OP of the thread there are addresses corresponding to either a single letter, single number, or groups of letters or numbers. To make your prediction, you simply send the correct amount (between 0.01 and 0.02 BTC) to the appropriate address 2) There is a website for this - http://keno.nastyfans.org - which has QR codes on it, which can be scanned by any mobile device and if you have a wallet associated with that device it will fill in all the details for your wallet app, making it easier. Each type of prediction has a different payout - from 2:1 for all letters A-F, to 4:1 for 3 letters/numbers, to 10:1 for a single letter or number. You can make as many predictions as you'd like, but only one incorrect prediction will qualify for the promo. The payouts are done by looking at the payment addresses in the blockchain, and sending back to them. Unless wanting to qualify for the promotion, you do not need to post that you made a prediction in the thread if you want to remain anonymous. However, you need to post like everyone else if you want to qualify for the promotion. I hope this helps explain it a bit more for you. Please let us know if you need more info.

Erm, you sent 15eiAnGmwGVKSGjSKowcDw7N6CmhG7jfoo BTC0.3 instead of BTC0.03 I believe? To which address would you like me to send the BTC0.27?
Holy fat-fingers Batman! You're right, I just checked and completely botched my copy and paste for the amount. I very much appreciate you catching this and offering to send back the refund. Send back 0.24, keep the 0.03 as a reward and to cover any tx fees. 1EWBVaCayegV891vXfe3Ho5Zc718n6nBpp Thank you!

Sorry for the lateness, but couldn't pass up a beautiful weekend and was out for most of it.
This round we had a lucky streak, 4 winners! This left 6 userid's eligible for the credit promo.
I have processed the credits for round 3, and have updated the OP.
Squirrel Dearing, could you please confirm your payment address? Looking up the TX id in the blockchain had 2 addresses for that transaction, so I want to make sure I pay the right one.
In any case, here's the TX id info for the rest of them:
