No, you can't without brute force the password. If your password is long and you don't have any clue what it is, like totally random chars, forget it. If you can remember part of it, a phase or something, there is a change to brute force it. |

Dash would be a good hold especially since it has a masternode that helps to reduce sell pressure.
I agree with you. DASH is much stronger coin than ZEC with much bigger support, community and adopters. From what I see, ZEC is overprices like hell right now. |

Is it a good idea to invest most of, if not all of my portfolio into smaller altcoins with the potential for huge growth? For example, altcoins with a marketcap of less than $1Bn have a much greater potential to grow 10x - 100x than the likes of Bitcoin and Ethereum do.
I'm seriously considering it. Looks like 2018 will be the year of altcoins and altcoins will show a much bigger growth rate than bitcoin itself. Any suggesting beside standard in top 100? |

Yes, most of them are using Ripple. Don't fool yourself that they are entering into cryptos or are doing it for you. They are doing it with the sole purpose to increase profits. Because blockhain bases inter-bank transfer are x100 cheaper and faster than current systems. |

I find it sad, but inevitable.
Bitcoin is still the leading currency, but it's obsolete when we are talking about DAPPs, smart contracts, ICOs, new technologies, etc. I think we will even see BTC dominance under 25% in 2018.

Which USD value of my altcoins is correct? bittrex estimated USD value or coinmarketcap portfolio position (i set up a portfolio tracker)?
My estimated value of altcoins in bittrex in USD is lower than the actual altcoin value in USD on coinmarketcap.
I have 2 altcoins, XRP and XLM - when I multiply number of coins by current USD price from coinmaketcap.com, the value is higher than the estimated value shown in bittrex... why is it so?
This is because coinmarketcap is counting all prices from all exchanges and usually prices in South Korea are much higher than the rest. If you plan to use or trade only on Bittrex, then it's clear. You should calculate by Bittrex prices. |
