I Found One!

Wow - u=654

Rather than ban him, I hope he comes back..

Yeah, I missed kwuckduck "reverse" prediction of bitcoin price. I no longer can predict the price : BTC price = inv(kwuckduck's predicted price).

I remember 10 years ago one of the forums that I used to visit was an excellent one especially in its news section. Now that section is full of random topics about Russian new jet fighter and missiles, Russian and Iranian "saving" Syria, clever Trump... Same names, same speech repeated over and over... It is disgusting!
282  Other / Meta / Re: Racism and bigotry on: September 30, 2018, 04:26:09 PM
People who join here for trolling and not writing a single post outside of off-topic or politics should be banned imo. Otherwise, racist and "other"cist need to be simply ignored by the ones who disgust their ideology.
Just ignore them, you will not miss anything important by doing so. Ever.

Press (altcoins)
...
Press board in the altcoin sub forum could be useful. Although would require heavy moderation I think.

Nope. A unique global press board containing news for bitcoin, altcoins and blockchain related stuff is enough.
I would like to see people creating news there too especially related to their countries but this doesn't seem close to see for now.

285  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-12] Stablecoins Gaining Popularity in India on: September 29, 2018, 04:51:03 PM
Reported to mods for using Bitcoin dot com, Roger Ver's camped domain for story links.

Are you that lazy? Or just a shill?

Get your act together.

Since there isn't an official rule about the source of news, everything is accepted (some mods don't like some sources but they didn't take any action to stop it since it is not forbidden).
BTW, I think reporting the guy bumping this 1 month and half old topic is better  Wink
PSPD didn't find any issue over here  Tongue
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction becomes more popular with young people over time on: September 29, 2018, 04:46:43 PM
Although trying to make money with gambling is a stupid idea (and we have to make sure all young people know this fact in the first place), I wouldn't call it the riskiest enterprise. When you gamble online you can lose your balance, while when trying to rob a bank you can lose your freedom or even your very life. Also, there are a lot of shady businesses in the streets which are much more dangerous than gambling. Since adolescents are tend to do something risky anyway, maybe gambling is not that bad of an option.

Well some adolescents will see things like this : Gambling = loose your money = suicide or evolving in risky and shady business to get your money back.
Thus said, even in regular job you can loose all what you have in case of robbery without having an insurance... So yeah, it is complicated

CZ never doubted and was hardly shaken, and my personal assets are basically all held in cryptocurrency to this day. This is faith.
That's what I called HODL.

With such news, and unless a hack will take a place, Binance will continue leading the crypto world exchanges.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction becomes more popular with young people over time on: September 28, 2018, 05:30:18 PM
I think most of the people are addictive to gambling which there is no age restriction and even most of the people for fun not to make money. So always most of the young people are very addictive for for free sources of money and they find gambling is the best way to make fast money.

Wouldn't call gambling a free source of money. It is the riskiest source where someone needs a lucky shot to be rich while dozens of people lost almost everything...

290  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any point in reporting spam megathreads? on: September 27, 2018, 06:43:45 PM
Spam megathreads initially may contain some informations but once they pass few pages the discussion is literally a garbage and no one read the last pages for not saying the last post.
That's why i would like to see it locked once it passes let's say 10 pages for example.
You can report it but you will likely get some bad reports or it will remains unhandled.
291  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary one day? on: September 27, 2018, 06:37:11 PM
Boys stay on topic please. I can understand someone dreaming about becoming a junior member one day and made an off-topic post here or created a new topic to celebrate but talking about merit here isn't kewl.

Seems to me that we are largely on topic, because there are new requirements that are present in order to aspire to becoming Legendary some day, and that is the system of merits and whether regular mortal members are going to be able to rank up to Legendary in similar time frames as they were able to previously, or how much they might have to bust their butts (or otherwise to be exceptional in order to be able to aspire to achieving such rank, which includes passing through the various levels to become Legendary).  Sufficiently on topic in my humble bumble point of view in order to post in this thread (even though such topic of merit is beaten up in a lot of other threads, too, especially in recent times (as you seem to be implying with your suggestion that we might arguably be off topic, here).

Nah, I just want to stop the merit discussion there before random members join the party and start whining about how merit broke their lives  Wink

293  Other / Meta / Re: So.... I am a NEWBIE again! on: September 26, 2018, 11:36:35 PM
I am quite surprised yesterday when I looked at my Bitcointalk account. It is a newbie.
I went up my rank from Newbie to Junior member last month but now my account has been downgraded.

I dont know what happen but I think it is so funny & there is something cruel here
The next suggestion is to freeze forever the rank of the altcoins boys who don't give a care about what happening in the forums and keep asking clever questions over and over from the implication of the merit system!

Well look at the bright side, it can only go up from here!
Another option is the red card Wink

295  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 18-Sep-2018] on: September 22, 2018, 12:47:31 PM
777Coin have not paid us in over 11 weeks

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1545750.3040

Fatanut is already aware of that and he mentioned it in one of the topic, besides there is a red asterisk in both compaigns.
Waiting for almost 3 months isn't cool indeed but all you have to do now is just waiting for Lutpin processing thousands of posts. Making a checkpoint and changing the boat might be another possibility if anyone is interested.
Tl;dr : No need to write in this topic what was already said LFC_Bitcoin Wink
296  Other / Meta / Re: Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements on: September 19, 2018, 02:42:03 PM
I love that most of the demoted Jr. Members who posted a complaint in this thread is now back to Jr. Member. Roll Eyes

Yeah they are, but this isn't the spirit of the 1 smerit requirement. The main thing about creating just 1 breakwater line is not to stop completely the waves from reaching the coast but to limit it as much as possible.

    • If you try to sell sMiles or give them to your friends or family members you'll get deplaned at altitude.
    oO
I thought selling sMiles leads to just sitting at the end of the plane with the bad boys or in a cage in the cargo.
I thought deplaning occurs when you paste papers from books or newspapers in the plane's wall and windows or jumping like a monkey outside of your cage and waking up the passengers to see what u r doin' everytime  Undecided

I would like to suggest BitcoinTalk forum to launch it's official mobile app. Grin
Let's just wait for the new forums  Roll Eyes
    (<3 this one btw)
298  Other / Meta / Re: The case of an account with no posts and 250 merit on: September 18, 2018, 07:20:54 PM
There are a few more accounts that self-deranked, I think one even went from Hero to Newbie.

Afaik, hero and legendary memberships are permanent even if the users deleted all his posts. Maybe he was a senior member then deranked to newbie.
299  Other / Meta / Re: Is the new rule (1 Merit for Jr. Member) already reducing spam? on: September 18, 2018, 07:16:10 PM
Newbie accounts are useless right now and most of real users will try to enhance the quality of their posts to get out of the imposed restrictions.
Another option is to buy copper membership or try to buy some smerit in the dark which isn't profitable at all for auto-bots managers.
So yeah, +1 merit is effective and it will remains for the next few months at least.
    300  Other / Meta / Re: Copper membership resent statistic/list? on: September 18, 2018, 07:03:42 PM
whats the diffrence with copper members ?? maybe dumb question haha  Roll Eyes

Copper member has some advantages. It will let a legit newbie has a signature again in addition to letting him add an image to his posts...
Many of these limitations can be eliminated with a copper membership. In particular, you can set a signature at Member level if you wear a copper membership.

so it gives only advantage when your a newbie ?

It is mainly made for newbies. Afaik most of the advantages are dedicated to them. I don't know if the other ranks have a reduced waiting time by 75% between posts or not. Take a look here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.msg24371150#msg24371150
